Raipur : Adani Group Chairman Shri Gautam Adani paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai at his residence here today. During the discussion with the Chief Minister, Shri Adani said that the visionary and transparent policies of the Chhattisgarh government have won the trust of industrialists, as a result of which Adani Group plans to invest Rs 60 thousand crores for the expansion of power plants in Raipur, Korba and Raigarh. This project will increase Chhattisgarh's power generation capacity by an additional 6,120 MW. This major expansion in the field of energy will not only make the state self-reliant, but will also help in supplying energy to other states. During the discussion, there was also talk about promoting investment in the cement industry. Adani Group agreed to invest Rs 5,000 crore for expansion of cement plants in the state. This will strengthen the cement industry in Chhattisgarh and create new employment opportunities.

New schemes discussed

During the meeting between the Chief Minister and Mr. Adani, the possibilities of setting up defense equipment manufacturing, data center and global capability center in Chhattisgarh were also discussed. The government's initiative is to make the state a major center for emerging industries. Ideas were also shared regarding promoting innovative activities in view of the needs of the present time.

Adani Group will spend Rs 10,000 crore for the development of Chhattisgarh

Mr. Adani said that on the suggestion of Chief Minister Mr. Sai, Adani Group will spend about Rs 10,000 crore in the next four years from CSR and other sources to promote education, health, skill development and tourism in the state. This initiative will take the social and economic development of the state to new heights.

Special emphasis on technical education

Adani Group will work for employment based skill development among the youth. This will lead to adequate availability of technical skill based human resources. The curriculum in Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) will be designed according to future needs so that local youth get adequate opportunities. Also, Adani Group will establish Skilling Excellence School and Premium School in Nava Raipur to give a new direction to education and skill development in Chhattisgarh. This initiative will prove to be an important effort to make the youth and children self-reliant by providing them quality education and state-of-the-art skills in the state.

Work will be done on promoting health facilities

Along with this, Adani Group will also work on expanding health facilities so that the citizens of Chhattisgarh can get high quality health facilities. A 1000 bed dormitory facility will also be started for the relatives of the patients near AIIMS Raipur and Mekahara Hospital.

Tourism and rural development projects will get momentum

Adani Group will work on new projects to make historical and cultural sites in Chhattisgarh attractive for tourists. This will enable the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Chhattisgarh to get global recognition. Similarly, work will also be done on expanding the facilities under rural development.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai will be on a tour of Badebacheli, Sukma and Kondagaon of Dantewada district on Monday, January 13. During this period, the Chief Minister will inaugurate and perform Bhoomi Pujan of development works on a large scale in all the three districts. The Chief Minister will participate in the road show organized in Kondagaon. According to the released program, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai will go to Badebacheli of Dantewada district by helicopter from Police Parade Ground Raipur at 10.05 am on January 13 and will inaugurate, lay the foundation stone and perform Bhoomi Pujan of various development works in the program organized there from 11.30 am.

After this, the Chief Minister will reach Sukma district headquarters by helicopter at 12.40 pm and will inaugurate and perform Bhoomi Pujan of development works in the program organized at Mini Stadium there. After this, the Chief Minister will reach Kondagaon at 3 pm and after participating in the road show there, he will inaugurate various development works and perform Bhoomi Pujan in the program organized at Stadium Ground Vikas Nagar. The Chief Minister will return from Kondagaon to Police Parade Ground Raipur at 5.15 pm.

State level Yuva Mahotsav begins in capital Raipur

Raipur : Chhattisgarh has been the holy land of Swami Vivekananda. Swami Vivekananda ji spent two years of his adolescence here in Day Bhawan. When someone comes to Raipur by air, he sees the airport named after Swami Vivekananda and realises that this city must have been related to Swami Vivekananda. From there to Vivekananda Sarovar, the most picturesque place in the city, everywhere one can see the respect of this city for Swami Vivekananda. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said this while addressing the opening ceremony of the three-day State Yuva Mahotsav organised at Science College Ground on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda ji's birth anniversary "National Youth Day".

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Swami Vivekanand ji has a big role in the creation of modern India. The historical statement he gave in the World Religion Conference in Chicago in 1893 made the whole world bow down in front of Indian thinking. Swami ji started his address with American brothers and sisters. This was in line with the Indian philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. At that time, American newspapers had written that by listening to Swami ji, we came to know about the deep values of India's Sanatan tradition which we could not even imagine.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the tall building of developed India and developed Chhattisgarh will be built in the hands of youth power. Our youth are the future of our state. It is only on the strength and determination of the youth that we are moving fast on the path of reconstruction of the state. The way the scam happened in recruitments during the previous government, the morale of our youth was completely broken. We had promised that we will get the PSC scam investigated. We handed over its investigation to the CBI. The CBI has taken effective action in this matter. The confidence of the youth in the PSC examination has returned.

The Chief Minister said that this time the examinations were conducted with complete transparency. When the results came, I called the toppers to felicitate them. There was satisfaction on their faces. They told me that they were all broken by the corruption in the PSC, the way the new government took strong action against corruption, their faith in the system returned. Youths are able to prepare for examinations in a better way only when they feel that there will be no malpractice in the examination. We have taken many measures to increase the transparency of the PSC. We are going to conduct the PSC examination on the pattern of UPSC. This will also enable more and more youth of the state to be selected in central services.

The Chief Minister said that we have increased the number of seats in the Youth Hostel of Delhi from 50 to 185 so that the youth can clear the UPSC examination by getting better coaching here. We have released the annual calendar of Vyapam examinations. The examination will be held on time. Along with this, we are also taking action to fill the vacant posts of the departments at a fast pace. We have implemented the National Education Policy. This education will prepare the youth for new age employment.

Referring to the new industrial policy, the Chief Minister said that in the new industrial policy, we have taken full care that the local youth get maximum employment. For this, we will provide special grant assistance to those industries which will employ 1 thousand or more local youth. There is a possibility of an investment of two and a half lakh crores in the state in the next five years, which will create five lakh new employment opportunities.

The Chief Minister said that our youth are very talented. They have unique ideas. Startups have a great potential in Chhattisgarh. We are encouraging it. We are creating coworking spaces where a youth who wants to start a startup can set up his setup at a very low cost. We are especially motivating the IT sector. IT companies are rapidly starting their units in Nava Raipur. Soon Nava Raipur will be established as a new IT hub.

Referring to the Bastar Olympics, the Chief Minister said that 1 lakh 65 thousand talents of Bastar division participated in it. Our illustrious Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi also praised this event in his Mann Ki Baat program. We are also committed to the development of sports in Chhattisgarh and for this we are rapidly building infrastructure and making solid arrangements for the training of players. He said that Yuva Mahotsav is going on in Delhi and many of our young colleagues have been invited there too. The talent of the youth of the state is famous all over the country and the world. Raipur : Addressing the youth at Deendayal Auditorium in Science College on the occasion of inauguration of Yuva Mahotsav today, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that all of you are the future of the country and the state. Take a dream about how you want to serve the country and the state, study with full dedication, honesty and devotion to achieve it. Chhattisgarh state has high level educational institutions related to technology, medical, law, management. Nalanda campus in Raipur is open 24 hours for the youth to prepare for competitive examinations. On the lines of Nalanda campus, we are also setting up hi-tech libraries in other districts of the state, where material will be available for preparation of online-offline competitive examinations.

Referring to the success of Bastar Olympics organized to connect the youth of Bastar region with the mainstream of development of the country and the state, the Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has appreciated this event. Congratulating the youth on Swami Vivekananda's birth anniversary, he said that in 1893, at the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago, America, Swami Vivekananda impressed the whole world with India through his lecture on the ideals, spirituality and philosophy of Sanatan Dharma.

At the beginning of his dialogue with the youth, the Chief Minister, while answering the question of Apoorva Dixit of Ambikapur, said that many times in life such situations arise that the mind gets disturbed, but we have to remain steadfast to achieve our goal. In this connection, he narrated a small story related to the life of Swami Vivekananda and said that Swami Vivekananda was going to Banaras with a sanyasi, at the same time a lot of monkeys surrounded Swami ji, in such a situation Swami ji neither got scared nor moved from his place. The result was that all the monkeys ran away. He called upon the youth that we also have to remain steadfast to achieve our goal. Determination will solve all the problems.

In response to the questions of Shruti, a student of OP Jindal University, Raigarh, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that we get success by choosing one area for success and working with full determination and dedication. Responding to Rajkumar Kureti's questions regarding peace and development in Bastar, the Chief Minister said that the government is working with full commitment towards security and development in the five Naxal-affected districts of Bastar. The benefits of government schemes and programs are being ensured to the people through the establishment of 39 security camps in these districts and the Niyyad Nella Nar Yojana. He said that there is a double engine government in the state.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah have resolved to eliminate Naxalism from the country by March 31, 2026. The commitment and strategy with which our government is working for the total elimination of Naxalism makes us feel that we will achieve this goal before the stipulated time period. The Chief Minister said that the people of Bastar are also actively ensuring their participation for the establishment of peace and development. The participation of lakhs of youth in the Bastar Olympics proves this.

Responding to a question by Mrinal Vajpayee, a student of Balodabazar, about his journey to becoming the Chief Minister, the Chief Minister said that he is a resident of Bagiya, a small village in Jashpur. Today the population of his village is about two and a half thousand. The Chief Minister said that when he was 10 years old, his father passed away. The entire responsibility of the family fell on his mother. Mother is a fearless woman and handled the responsibility with great patience and fearlessness. Along with our upbringing and education, she also took care of farming and household work. We considered mother as our role model. Being the eldest, I took the responsibility of the house upon myself. When my father passed away, my younger brother was only two months old. I taught my younger brothers. I started my public life as a Panch. I remained a Panch for five years. Seeing my good work and honesty, the people of the village elected me unopposed as Sarpanch. After six months, I got a ticket to contest the assembly elections and became MLA from Tapkara assembly constituency in 1990.

The Chief Minister then mentioned his journey of becoming an MP, Minister of State in the cabinet of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna late Atal Bihari Vajpayee and becoming the Chief Minister and said that whenever he was given any responsibility, he fulfilled it with full devotion and honesty. He said that in political life, late Shri Dilip Singh Judeo and former Prime Minister late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee have been his role models. With the efforts of Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal on the instructions of the Chief Minister, the trust of the patients of the state in government hospitals has strengthened. Ram Pyare and Deendayal of Jashpur are telling their story about the expansion of health facilities.

Ram Pyare got free treatment in the longevity ward

My entire savings were exhausted in getting cancer treatment, I had to even sell the house, in such a situation, the longevity ward of the district hospital became a savior for me where I am getting free treatment as well as medicines. This is what 60-year-old Ram Pyare Ram, a resident of Rajapara, says. Ram Pyare is working as a peon in the Government Model School. He had complaints of pain and burning sensation in his stomach for many years. Initially when Ram Pyare got himself examined in a private hospital in Ambikapur, the doctors started his treatment saying that he had stomach ulcers. After two years of treatment, when he did not get relief, he got himself treated in a private hospital in Raipur. The examination revealed that he had stomach cancer. From there he was referred to another private hospital. Where he was treated for a year.

All the savings of his house were spent in this treatment. The situation became such that he had to sell his house. He kept getting buried under the burden of debt. The children tried to get treatment by taking loans from wherever they could. In such a situation, he got information about free treatment in the district hospital. He started getting his treatment here. Now he does not have to go to Raipur again and again for treatment. Ram Pyare tells that his treatment used to cost 90 thousand to 1 lakh per month. Apart from this, he had to bear travel and other expenses separately. Here the treatment is free and there is no need to spend money to go anywhere. For this, he thanked Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and the government.

Longevity Ward became a path of hope in Deendayal's troubles

Deendayal Yadav, a cancer patient from Kansabel, said that he was facing many physical problems since September 2023. When he first got tested, the problem of hydrocele was identified and treated. But the physical ailment still kept increasing and there was swelling in the stomach. One day he fainted while working at home, so he continued to be treated in Kunkuri in an unconscious state for 2-3 days. When he was also examined in Ambikapur due to lack of knowledge about the disease, the doctors advised him to go to Medical College Raipur. Where the doctors' examination revealed that he had kidney cancer.

This condition of Deendayal, who took the responsibility of the entire house by working as a mason at home, had spread an atmosphere of fear in the entire family, but the doctors explained that he could get treatment in his own district so that he does not have any financial burden. When he came to Jashpur, his free treatment in the longevity ward was started under the Ayushman Card scheme. It had become difficult for Deendayal to even get up from the bed and speak. Now he is slowly recovering and is now in a position to get up and sit on his own. For this, Deendayal and his wife also thanked Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai.

Participated in Chaliha festival of Sindhu Amar Dham in Chakarbhatha

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai participated in Chaliha festival organized by Pujya Sindhu Samaj in Chakarbhatha of Bilaspur. He prayed to Lord Jhulelal and wished for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of Chhattisgarh state. On this occasion, he greeted Saint Shri Sai Lal Das Saheb of Pujya Sindhu Amarnath Ashram by bowing to him. Shri Sai said that Pujya Sant Lal Das ji has kept a 40-day fast, which will bring prosperity to the state. Penance, worship and rituals are the strength of all of us.

In this sequence, on the instructions of Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, the family members of the patients admitted in various wards of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Smriti Hospital will not have to go to the pathology lab with the sample for blood test. The management has taken a big decision for the inpatient patients admitted in the hospital. Now, for pathological examination of all the patients admitted in the ward, their blood sample will be collected in the ward and taken to the pathology lab by the ward boy and after the examination, the blood report will be collected and given to the on-duty nurse in the respective ward.

Ambedkar Hospital Superintendent Dr. Santosh Sonkar said that initially this arrangement has been started for the patients admitted in Medicine Male Ward No. 8 and 9 and Medicine Female Ward No. 10 and 11. Gradually, after this system of sample collection system is implemented in all the wards, patients will get the biggest relief and their attendants will also not have to go to the pathology lab with blood samples for testing. Chief Minister announces Rs 5 crore for the grand bronze statue of Bhaktin Mata Rajim

Raipur : Rajim is the confluence of Shaiv and Vaishnav traditions. It was at this holy place of Rajim that Lord Shri Ram established Kuleshwar Mahadev and worshipped him. This area is famous all over the country due to the Triveni Sangam of Sondur, Pairi and Mahanadi. Rajim city is famous as Prayagraj of Chhattisgarh. The Mahanadi flowing from here is called Papamochani Ganga. Rajim is named after Rajim Bhaktin Mata. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said this while addressing the program organized on the occasion of Bhaktin Mata Rajim Jayanti organized by Sahu Samaj in Rajim today.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that it is a matter of pride for all of us that we have gathered today on the land where Lord Shri Ram set his feet with Mother Sita. Mother Sita worshipped Mahadev here and established Kuleshwar Mahadev from sand itself. He said that the Sahu community cherishes the memory of the sacrifice and penance set by Rajim Bhaktin Mata. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the Sahu community is a progressive community. This community is progressing in business and industry along with agriculture. He said that the country's successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who considers 140 crore Indians as his family and works 18 hours a day for their welfare with the policy of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas, is the pride of your community. During this, the Chief Minister also informed him about the Mahtari Vandan Yojana being run for women empowerment.

The Chief Minister further said that the tribal-dominated Bastar region of the state is Naxal-affected, which was a big challenge till now. Our government is running several schemes towards establishing peace in these areas and to improve the living standards of the tribals. Through the Niyyad Nella Nar scheme, the work of providing basic facilities in these remote areas is being done rapidly. With the opening of new camps, the scope of Naxalites has been reduced and the path of development is opening up rapidly.

Giving information about the successful organization of Bastar Olympics, the Chief Minister said that through this, the youth, elderly, women of Bastar together not only showed their ability and sports skills but also worked to give a big message of peace. Ambassador Mr. Garcetti said that Olympic winning athletes should also be invited to the Bastar Olympics so that the world knows Bastar and Bastar can also connect with the world in that way. Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai inaugurated Raipur-Ambikapur-Bilaspur air service at Swami Vivekananda Airport today. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said on this occasion that today another historic step has been taken towards the development of Chhattisgarh. The launch of Raipur-Ambikapur-Bilaspur air service is a symbol of expansion of our regional connectivity. The starting fare of this service is only Rs 999, which ensures that the general public can also avail the benefit of air travel.

He said that this is a big example of the change that has come in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He had said that even a person wearing slippers will travel by plane and today that dream is coming true. Air connectivity of remote areas like Surguja and Bastar will not only provide facilities to the citizens, but will also increase tourism and economic activities in these areas. The state government has developed the airport of Ambikapur at a cost of 80 crores. Maa Mahamaya Airport, Ambikapur has received a license of 3C VFR category. Raipur : In its Sankalp Patra, the Chhattisgarh government had expressed its commitment to provide permanent houses to 18 lakh homeless families of the state under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) under the 'Modi Ki Guarantee'. This important decision was approved in the first cabinet meeting under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai. The Chhattisgarh government has taken another important step towards fulfilling its promise of providing permanent houses to 18 lakh homeless families of the state under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The Finance Department has released an amount of Rs 2,560 crore including the central and state share to be transferred to the beneficiaries.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai has said that our aim is to provide permanent houses to all the homeless families of the state under this scheme. This initiative is not only a residential facility but also a means of social and economic upliftment.

So far, an amount of Rs 5,144 crore has been released

According to the information received from the Finance Department, a total amount of Rs 5,144 crore has been released so far in this financial year. The first installment of the central share of Rs 1,550.30 crore, the state share of Rs 1,033.70 crore, a total of Rs 2,584 crore and the second installment of the central share of Rs 1,535.40 crore, the state share of Rs 1,024.60 crore, a total of Rs 2,560 crore has been released. The amount will be directly transferred to the beneficiaries' accounts soon, which will speed up the construction work.

Finance Minister Shri OP Chaudhary said that efforts are also being made to receive the third installment amount from the Government of India under the scheme in this financial year, so that the construction of their houses can be completed soon.

Raipur : The state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has provided complete exemption in Mandi fee and Krishak Kalyan fee on pulses, oilseeds and wheat from 13 March 2024 to 31 March 2026. With this decision of the state government, lakhs of farmers of the state and the operators and traders of dal mills, oilseeds mills and flour mills will get direct benefit. Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries has expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai for this important decision.

It is noteworthy that the operators and traders of dal mills, oilseeds mills and flour mills of the state had requested Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai for exemption in Mandi fee on pulses, oilseeds and wheat brought from outside the state for processing-manufacturing. On the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Sai, a notification was issued on 17 December 2024 and complete exemption has been provided in these fees in all the mandis of Chhattisgarh from 13 March 2024 to 31 March 2026.

Reacting to this decision, Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce Association President Mr. Amar Parwani said that this decision is historic for the business and agriculture sector of the state. Thanking the Chief Minister, he said that this exemption will strengthen the economy of the state and protect the interests of traders and farmers. With the exemption in Mandi fee and Krishak Kalyan fee, traders will be able to trade with neighboring states at competitive rates. This will promote business activities in the state and farmers will also get better prices for their produce.

Welcoming this decision of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the common people and the people of the industry reached the Chief Minister's residence today and greeted the Chief Minister and thanked him wholeheartedly. Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that despite financial challenges, his government has taken this decision in favor of the common people of the state. This decision will protect 30 thousand families of the state and the general public will also continue to get everyday items at low prices.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the production of pulses, oilseeds and wheat in the state is less than the demand, due to which the dal mills, oilseeds mills and flour mills of the state have to import pulses, oilseeds and wheat from other states to run their mills. On exemption from Mandi fee, the dal mills, oilseeds mills and flour mills of the state will be able to compete with other states and consumers will get pulses, oil, flour and maida at low prices, which will lead to savings in household expenditure and consumers will be able to purchase other essential items to improve their lifestyle from this saving. Also, about 30 thousand families get employment from these dal mills, oilseeds mills and flour mills, whose direct protection will continue to be taken by this decision.

Shri Shah highlighted that for the first time in four decades, the death toll of civilians and security personnel due to Naxal violence has fallen below 100, attributing this to the Modi government’s stringent policies against Naxalism.

He further stated that over the last decade under PM Modi’s leadership, Naxalism has been effectively curbed, resulting in a 73% reduction in security personnel casualties and a 70% decline in civilian deaths compared to the previous decade. The Home Minister also commended the Chhattisgarh Police for joining forces with other security agencies to deliver a decisive blow to Naxalism in the past year. Additionally, he pointed out that several developmental projects have been carried out in Chhattisgarh under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.

Shri Amit Shah stated that the first ‘President’s Colour’ was awarded to the Indian Navy in 1951, and today, any armed force must complete 25 years of service to be eligible for this prestigious honour. He expressed gratitude to the President of India for recognizing and honoring the 25 years of service, dedication, sacrifice, and commitment of the Chhattisgarh Police. Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Central Government and the State Government are committed to completely eliminating Naxalism from Chhattisgarh by March 31, 2026. He urged Naxalites to abandon the path of violence, join the mainstream of society, and contribute to the development of Chhattisgarh by moving forward on the path of progress. He also highlighted that the Chhattisgarh Government has implemented an excellent surrender policy, which provides for the rehabilitation of every Naxalite who surrenders.

Shri Amit Shah stated that the Chhattisgarh Police has achieved significant success in combating organized crime and narcotics with determination. He highlighted that between January 1, 2024, and September 30, 2024, around 1,100 narcotics cases were registered, leading to the seizure of 21,000 kilograms of cannabis, 6,000 kilograms of opium, and approximately 195,000 tablets of illicit drugs. Additionally, 1,400 individuals were arrested in connection with these cases. He further noted that Chhattisgarh has been at the forefront in the effective implementation of the PITNDPS (Prevention of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act.

Union Home Minister expressed confidence that every officer and personnel of the Chhattisgarh Police will play a pivotal role in realizing the vision of a developed Chhattisgarh and a prosperous Bastar. He further stated that Chhattisgarh’s significant contribution will be etched in golden letters in the journey towards building a developed India by 2047 under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.

Union Home Minister told the personnel of the Chhattisgarh Police that the ‘President's Colour’ is not merely a decoration but a symbol of service, sacrifice, and dedication. He stated that this insignia serves as a reminder of the countless challenges that must be faced with resilience. Shri Amit Shah emphasized that the ‘President's Colour’ is not only an honor but also a responsibility, and every officer of the Chhattisgarh Police will uphold this responsibility and will not take a step back in fulfilling their duty
