Invitation Extended for Three-Day Guruparv Marking 269th Birth Anniversary of Baba Guru Ghasidas

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai met a delegation of the Satnami Vikas Parishad, Sarangarh, at his residence office here on Monday. Skill Development Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb was also present during the meeting.

The delegation invited Chief Minister to attend the three-day Guruparv 2025 as chief guest, being organized to mark the 269th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Ghasidas. They informed him that the festival, scheduled for December 18, 19 and 20, will draw large participation from members of the Satnami community, and will serve as a grand celebration of the community’s faith, unity and cultural heritage.

Chief Minister Shri Sai graciously accepted the invitation and said the Satnami community has consistently enriched Chhattisgarh’s social, cultural and spiritual fabric. The ideals of Guru Baba Ghasidas—truth, non-violence and equality—continue to provide moral strength and direction to society. Joining such a sacred celebration, he said, is both an honor and a privilege. He described the Guruparv as an inspirational event that binds the community together and carries forward its guiding values.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai visited a private hospital on December 9 in Saddu, Raipur to meet MLA Shri Bhaiyalal Rajwade, who is facing health issue. The Chief Minister assessed his condition, and extended his best wishes for a “swift and complete recovery.”

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai visited the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Raipur on December 9 to meet eminent writer and Jnanpith Award recipient Shri Vinod Kumar Shukla, who is currently undergoing treatment there. The Chief Minister prayed for his speedy recovery and enquired about his health condition from the medical team. He also directed officials to provide “the best possible medical care" to Shri Shukla.

Awareness Camps Planned to Boost Rabi Acreage, Raise Pulses–Oilseeds Productivity

Raipur : Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PMDDKY), introduced in 2025–26, is a government initiative designed to raise farmers’ income and agricultural productivity in under-performing districts by integrating 36 schemes across 11 ministries. The scheme places emphasis on irrigation, storage, accessible credit and crop diversification, with the aim of strengthening farmer self-reliance and supporting India’s mission of achieving self-sufficiency in pulses and other key crops.

As part of the scheme, special training camps are being organized in every cooperative society to familiarize farmers with modern rabi crop techniques and to encourage them to diversify into fisheries, animal husbandry and related agri-based activities. It also aims to boost rabi acreage and raise productivity of pulses and oilseeds.

Progressive Farmers Engaged as Trainers

In Jashpur district, progressive farmers who have achieved higher yields and better income through modern farm practices are being included as trainers in these camps. They are sharing their experiences, challenges and the benefits they have received under various government schemes so that more farmers can adopt advanced agricultural methods. Officials from agriculture and allied departments are providing information on government schemes, subsidy processes and scientific cultivation practices. Scientists from the Krishi Vigyan Kendra and the agricultural college are also taking part, promoting modern agricultural technologies and motivating farmers to adopt improved methods.

Support Price Facility for Pulses and Oilseeds Growers

Nine cooperative societies have been registered in Jashpur district where farmers growing pulses and oilseeds can sell urad, moong and groundnut at the minimum support price if market rates fall. The district administration has urged farmers to complete registration on the Integrated Farmer Portal, and assistance is available through the local rural agriculture extension officer.

Farmer Producer Organizations to Help Raise Income

Representatives of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) from each development block in Jashpur will be present at the training camps. Farmers who are not yet part of any FPO can obtain detailed information and apply for membership on the spot. Joining an FPO offers access to modern techniques, group marketing and collective procurement and sale, enabling farmers to take meaningful steps towards significantly increasing their income.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai held a press conference in Rajnandgaon on December 9. He stated that the two years of the present Chhattisgarh Government have proved to be a decisive turning point in the state’s history. He stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, the nation is moving swiftly towards the goal of achieving the “complete elimination of Naxalism by 31 March 2026.” He added that the backbone of Naxalism has been broken and the movement is now in its final phase.

He stated that security forces have achieved unprecedented success over the past two years. More than 500 Maoists have been neutralised in encounters, while over 4,000 cadres have surrendered or been arrested, clearly indicating that the extremist network is weakening. He shared that the courage and determination of the forces have ensured a decisive edge against decades of violence in Bastar.

He also shared about the state government’s new rehabilitation policy, under which 15,000 houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana have been sanctioned for surrendered cadres, along with monthly financial assistance of Rs. 10,000 for three years, skill-development training, and employment-linked programmes. The Chief Minister stated that the aspiration of “leaving the path of bullets and joining the mainstream” is now becoming a reality across Bastar. Innovations such as Pandum Café have emerged as symbols of social transformation.

The Chief Minister added that with rapid expansion of security camps and deeper administrative outreach in Bastar, more than 400 villages have been resettled. Through the Niyad Nella Nar Yojana, essential services such as roads, electricity, drinking water, healthcare, and education are reaching remote habitations. He remarked that “places once echoing with gunfire now resonate with school bells,” as several villages witnessed national flag-hoisting after many years. People are participating fearlessly in elections and gaining access to services ranging from ration cards to mobile networks.

Highlighting Bastar’s role in future development, the Chief Minister stated that agriculture, irrigation, minor forest produce, animal husbandry, and small industries are creating “new livelihood opportunities.” He noted that the Industrial Policy 2024–30 has special provisions for Naxal-affected districts, with an emphasis on value addition, processing, and rural enterprise so that local youth can secure sustainable income and employment.

The Chief Minister stated that after the declaration of tourism as an industry, Bastar is rapidly emerging on the global tourism map. Kutumsar caves, waterfalls, the forests of Abujhmad, and the region’s tribal cultural heritage are drawing international attention. The home-stay model is flourishing and strengthening local economies. Bastar is now being recognised for “community-driven, eco-friendly tourism initiatives.”

He concluded by stating that this historic progress in eliminating Naxalism is a tribute to the state’s martyrs, the relentless commitment of security forces, and the trust of the people. He expressed confidence that, in line with the resolve of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, Bastar will soon be completely free from Naxalism and move forward in the “mainstream of inclusive development.”

Raipur : In a solemn display of respect and gratitude towards India’s armed forces, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai reaffirmed the State’s commitment to honouring those who stand guard for the nation’s security. Marking Armed Forces Flag Day at his Raipur residence office, the Chief Minister received Brigadier Vivek Sharma, Secretary of the Chhattisgarh State Soldiers’ Welfare Board, who called on him to present the symbolic honour badge and apprise him of the welfare activities and schemes being undertaken by the Directorate of Sainik Welfare.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai said, “Armed Forces Flag Day is a sacred occasion to express our gratitude for the courage, sacrifice and unyielding dedication of our brave soldiers and their families. The contribution of our armed personnel, who stand vigil day and night for the protection of our nation, is truly incomparable.” He added that the day reminds citizens of their shared responsibility to stand beside serving soldiers, ex-servicemen and the families of martyrs with compassion and support.

CM Shri Sai attends the oath-taking ceremony of Sarv Ravidas Samaj

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended the oath-taking ceremony of the Chhattisgarh Sarv Ravidas Samaj held at the Krishak Auditorium of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University in Raipur on December 7. The Chief Minister administered the oath to all newly elected office-bearers and conveyed his best wishes. Addressing the program, he stated that education is a foundation of social development. Whether it is the art of living, trade, agriculture or any other field, the first step towards success in every sector begins with education.

Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that the State Government is making efforts to improve the quality of education. At the time of state formation, there was only one medical college; today, nearly fifteen medical colleges operate across the state. Similarly, with the establishment of national and international institutions such as IIT, IIIT, IIM, Law University, AIIMS and CIPET in Chhattisgarh, local youth have gained significant opportunities for growth.

The Chief Minister stated that it is essential for society to remain strong and organised, as only an organised society can play a decisive role in nation-building. Referring to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s guiding mantra — “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas aur Sabka Prayas” — he stated that the State Government has been working for the welfare of all sections of society for the past twenty-three months, following these core principles.

He stated that in the past months, the State Government has taken several significant steps, including the Krishak Unnati Yojana for farmers, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to provide houses for every family, the Mahtari Vandan Yojana for the economic security of the state's women, and teacher rationalisation to ensure the availability of teachers in remote regions.

Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that more than 10,000 youths have already received appointment letters across various departments. He added that the examinations conducted by the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission have been held with complete fairness, which has instilled genuine confidence in the youth. He also stated that, in view of the current scenario, the State Government has implemented a new industrial policy to provide greater opportunities, employment, and self-employment for local people.

The Chief Minister urged community members to take full advantage of government schemes and bring about positive changes in their lives.

The programme was also addressed by the Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Leather Craftsmen Development Board, Shri Dhruv Kumar Mirdha, who congratulated the newly elected office-bearers.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai reviewed a detailed presentation on the latest irrigation technology, PIN (Pressure Irrigation Network), presented by Shri Rajesh Rajora, Additional Chief Secretary of the Water Resources Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, in Bhopal on December 7. He shared that compared to traditional irrigation methods, this system is far more efficient, modern and aligned with water conservation principles.

During the presentation, ACS Shri Rajora stated that while conventional canal-based irrigation offers only around 35 per cent efficiency, the Pressure Irrigation Network System raises efficiency to nearly 65 per cent. Water is supplied through pressure-based pipelines, which reduce leakage and wastage, resulting in significant savings on electricity. He further noted that this system requires minimal land acquisition, enabling the timely and cost-effective completion of projects.

It was highlighted that in Madhya Pradesh, irrigation is already being provided over 13 lakh hectares using this technology, with plans to expand it to 40 lakh hectares in the coming years. This model has improved water-use efficiency and significantly enhanced both farm productivity and irrigation convenience for farmers.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai appreciated the presentation and stated that this advanced irrigation technology aligns with current and future requirements of water management. He said, “We will ensure maximum utilisation of this technology in Chhattisgarh so that farmers receive better irrigation support with less water and achieve improved productivity. From the perspective of water conservation, energy saving and fast implementation, this system will prove extremely beneficial. Through this technology, irrigation benefits can be extended even without land acquisition.” The Chief Minister directed officials to study, test and implement the system in a phased manner.

It is noteworthy that in traditional canal-based irrigation, a significant portion of water is lost due to seepage, evaporation, and uncontrolled flow, thereby restricting the actual supply to fields and resulting in uneven irrigation across the command area. Typically, the overall efficiency of the traditional system is approximately 35 % In contrast, the PIN (Pressure Irrigation Network) system delivers water directly to fields through pipelines under controlled pressure, resulting in nearly zero wastage. This raises irrigation efficiency to more than 65 per cent, which is crucial for both water conservation and increased crop output.

Since irrigation in the PIN system is entirely pipeline-based, the need for canal construction is significantly reduced, and land acquisition remains minimal. This lowers project costs and ensures timely execution. Compared to traditional methods, pumping efficiency is higher, resulting in significant electricity savings. With uniform pressure-based water delivery, even tail-end fields receive adequate water. The system yields higher crop productivity, improved water management, and increased farm income.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated that the complete eradication of Naxalism is now visibly taking shape, which is the biggest obstacle to Chhattisgarh’s development. He described this achievement as the collective outcome of the strong leadership of the double-engine government, the clear strategy of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, and the courage, valour and unwavering resolve of India’s security forces.

The Chief Minister stated that “Naxalism is now in its ending phase,” calling it a historic milestone for the state. He reiterated that the firm commitment of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah is to completely eliminate Naxalism across the country by 31 March 2026, and this pledge is now becoming a reality on the ground.

Raipur : The sixth convocation of Atal Bihari Vajpayee University was held on Thursday in Raipur with full ceremonial grandeur, marking the conferral of degrees to nearly 37,000 students and the awarding of 92 gold medals. Former President Shri Ram Nath Kovind graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The program was presided over by Governor Shri Ramen Deka and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended as Special Guest of Honour. While Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao, and Higher Education Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma were distinguished guests marking their presence encouraging student’s efforts. During the ceremony, 64 research scholars received doctoral degrees, 92 gold medals were awarded and 36,950 undergraduate and postgraduate degrees were conferred to students.

Addressing the convocation, Former President Shri Ram Nath Kovind extended warm wishes to the graduating students for their bright future and urged them to contribute actively to nation-building. Applauding the energy and confidence of the youth, he said that India today stands among the world’s fastest-growing economies, and the young generation is both witness to and participant in this historic transformation. He emphasized that graduation is not the culmination of education, but that in the 21st century, continuous learning, skill refinement, and self-development are indispensable for success.

He noted that girls are increasingly outperforming boys in higher education across the country, and that the significant number of female gold medallists in this university is a matter of pride. Congratulating all awardees, he said their achievement is not solely their own effort, but the result of their parents’ sacrifice, family support, and the invaluable guidance of teachers. Calling it a golden moment they will cherish forever, he encouraged students not to fear falling behind, remarking, “Never think you are left behind. If you never stop trying, you can always be first.” He urged them to work diligently to fulfil their dreams while staying rooted in Indian culture, values, and heritage, and to embrace traditional knowledge systems such as yoga and science.

Governor Shri Ramen Deka, in his address, said that life presents many challenges, and though one may stumble at times, the greatest strength lies in the ability to rise again. He encouraged students not to fear setbacks and to cultivate the courage to stand up every time they fall. Stressing that discipline forms the bedrock of success, he described life as a beautiful journey that must be lived purposefully, positively, and meaningfully. Highlighting the increasing challenge of stress in modern life, he underscored the importance of mental well-being and advised making yoga, meditation, and regular physical activity integral parts of daily life. He urged students to choose careers that minimize stress, uphold transparency, and enable positive change for themselves and for society.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that success is not defined by a degree alone, but by the constant desire to learn. In a rapidly changing world, he added, it is the youth who remain connected to their cultural roots while embracing technology, innovation, and hard work who will shape the India of tomorrow. Opportunities do not always appear on their own, he said—often, they must be created. Discipline, perseverance, and a positive outlook, he noted, transform ordinary moments into extraordinary achievements. Expressing confidence in the new generation, he said it will lead Chhattisgarh and the nation to greater heights.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said the convocation is not merely a formal ceremony but a celebration of the dreams, determination, and efforts of students. He appreciated the university’s implementation of the National Education Policy 2020, including multidisciplinary learning, skill-based education, the four-year undergraduate programme, the Academic Bank of Credit, and modernized curricula that prepare students for global opportunities.

He noted that digitalization has enabled the university to provide online services such as admission, examination forms, transcripts, and degree certificates, ensuring simple, transparent, and prompt services for students. He added that financial assistance under the PM–Usha scheme will significantly aid the development of new laboratories, smart classrooms, a digital library, and modern academic infrastructure, thereby strengthening quality and innovation in higher education.

Chief Minister emphasized that universities should promote high-quality research aligned with the needs of the state, particularly in areas such as agricultural sciences, environmental protection, social systems, language and literature, and technological innovation. The convocation, he said, provided students, parents, and teachers with a collective celebration of knowledge, discipline, and inspiration, reaffirming the university’s commitment to excellence and innovation.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao highlighted the remarkable progress achieved by the state, including in the education sector, under the vision of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Higher Education Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma described the convocation as a tribute to students’ hard work and dedication, noting that the Academic Bank of Credit is being effectively implemented and that development projects worth Rs 20 crore have been sanctioned to strengthen academic infrastructure. The dignitaries also released the university’s quarterly magazine Kanhar. The welcome address was delivered by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Arun Diwakar Nath Vajpayee.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for development works worth Rs 195.26 crore at a programme held in Suhela village of Balodabazar-Bhatapara district.

During the event, he handed over keys to a total 1,073 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Gramin, distributed gas connections to around 3,000 women under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, issued property records to 5,000 farmers under the PM Swamitva Scheme, and provided various materials and cheques to beneficiaries of other government schemes.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision is to ensure that every household has a ‘pucca’ house, sanitation facility,clean drinking water, and the benefit of the PM Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme. He emphasised that the state government is working with full commitment to realise this vision. Highlighting that Chhattisgarh is celebrating the silver jubilee of its statehood, he asserted that every guarantee announced by Prime Minister Shri Modi before the formation of the government is being fulfilled one by one.

Chief Minister noted that the state is procuring paddy at Rs 3,100 per quintal—up to 21 quintals per acre. The collection rate for Tendu leaves has been increased to Rs 5,500 per standard bag, and farmers have already received the pending bonus for two years. A large number of women are benefiting from the Mahtari Vandan Yojana and the Ujjwala Scheme. He said households will receive free electricity under the PM Suryaghar Scheme, urging people to install solar panels to make the most of the substantial subsidies provided.

Praising the district administration’s “Hum Honge Kamyab” initiative, the Chief Minister said that the programme, which provides youth with skill training aligned with their interests, has already benefited more than 500 young people.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao and Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal also addressed the gathering, stating that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Sai, Chhattisgarh is achieving rapid and transformative development. Revenue Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma informed that road works worth more than Rs 100 crore have been sanctioned in the Balodabazar-Bhatapara district alone.

During the programme, the Chief Minister announced the establishment of a new government college in Suhela, the construction of a Community Health Centre building in Tilda, and the construction of a new Government Girls’ Higher Secondary School building and a new commercial complex in Balodabazar. He further announced the construction of sheds worth Rs 10 lakh each at 50 paddy procurement centres across the district and the construction of road dividers with lighting on all three roads extending one kilometre from the Suhela junction.

Among the projects inaugurated by the Chief Minister were 1,073 houses built at a cost of Rs 12.87 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Gramin, as well as drinking water supply schemes constructed at Amakoni, Hathband, Pousari, Semhradih, and Khaparadih at a total cost of Rs 7.74 crore.

Major foundation-laying works included strengthening of the Balodabazar–Risda–Hathband road at a cost of Rs 49.17 crore, construction of the Risda bypass road in Balodabazar for Rs 20.98 crore, an indoor stadium complex in Balodabazar for Rs 15.59 crore, 717 houses under PMAY–Gramin for Rs 8.60 crore, and construction of the Sungera anicut across the Kolhan nala at a cost of Rs 8.04 crore.

Beneficiary-oriented materials and cheques worth over Rs 5 crore were distributed during the event. These included the return of Rs 27 lakh to victims of cyber fraud; Rs 83 lakh under various Labour Department schemes; Rs 4.25 crore in post-matric scholarships for 8,333 students; Rs 25 lakh to 16 women under self-help group and ‘Saksham’ initiatives; Rs 9.69 lakh to 10 beneficiaries under the Chief Minister’s Employment Generation Programme; and Rs 6.81 lakh to 60 beneficiaries under the ‘Hum Honge Kamyab’ scheme.

The programme was attended by Balodabazaar–Bhatapara Zila Panchayat President Smt Akanksha Jaiswal, Raipur Zila Panchayat President Shri Naveen Agrawal, former MLA Shri Shivratan Sharma, State Women’s Commission member Smt Laxmi Verma, Janpad Panchayat President of Simga Shri Daulat Pal, several public representatives, and a large gathering of local residents.

Raipur : Top 10 rank holders of the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) Examination 2024 paid courtesy call on Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai at his residence office in Raipur. Chief Minister Shri Sai congratulated the meritorious candidates and their families for the remarkable achievement, describing it as a moment of collective pride for the state.

During the interaction, Shri Sai engaged with the candidates at length, inquiring about their preparation journey, the challenges faced during the examination process, and their aspirations for the future. He commended their perseverance, discipline and optimistic approach, stating that such dedication had shaped their success.

Chief Minister said that the outstanding performance of the state's youth in the CGPSC 2024 reflects Chhattisgarh's growing academic strength. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing quality education, better training facilities, and resources to enable young aspirants to excel in competitive examinations.

State government’s efforts to provide quality higher education to youth continue to yield significant results

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai met NMIMS representative Shri Jagdish V. Parikh at Mahanadi Bhawan on December 3. The meeting featured an in-depth discussion on the state’s recent initiatives in higher education and emerging opportunities in the sector.

Shri Parikh informed the Chief Minister about the institution’s proposal to set up its campus in EduCity, Nava Raipur, and shared details about NMIMS' academic programmes and activities. He also informed the Chief Minister about his earlier meeting with Housing & Environment Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary, who assured the departmental support for the project.

The Chief Minister said the state government is developing EduCity with the commitment to “provide quality higher education to every youth in Chhattisgarh”. He added that EduCity will provide students with access to top national institutions without requiring them to leave the state. He noted that the arrival of a prestigious institute like NMIMS will enable students to receive “high-quality education in management and engineering”. The presence of national and international institutions in EduCity, he said, will boost youth skill development and create better employment opportunities.

It is noteworthy that the state government is developing EduCity in Nava Raipur as a premier educational hub. The project includes plans for a multidisciplinary university, research centres, incubation hubs, a digital library, science and innovation centres, and advanced laboratories. These facilities will provide students with access to education, research, and start-up opportunities of national and global standards.

Nava Raipur already have esteemed institutions such as IIIT, IIM, and the National Law University. With the development of EduCity, a robust and modern academic ecosystem is anticipated to emerge.

Raipur : Appreciating the collaborated commitment for progress by duo Central and State governments, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday said that under the able leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the double engine government is firmly committed to safeguard the interests of Tribal communities and ensuring their holistic development. The Chief Minister was addressing the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas - Tribal Pride Day and Talent Felicitation Ceremony held at Ambagarh Chowki in the Mohla–Manpur–Ambagarh Chowki district.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister performed ‘bhoomipujan’ and inaugurated development works worth over Rs 475 crore. He announced that Ambagarh Chowki would be made a revenue subdivision and that a fully equipped auditorium would be constructed there. He also transferred the 22nd instalment of the Mahtari Vandan scheme directly into the bank accounts of beneficiary women. The programme was presided over by Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh.

Recalling the contribution of former Prime Minister late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee in formation of Chhattisgarh and the welfare of tribal communities, Shri Sai said that continuous efforts are being made by the Central and State Governments under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the overall development of tribal and Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs). Through the PM Janman and Gram Utkarsh schemes, all essential facilities are being provided to tribal families to ensure their inclusion in the mainstream.

The Chief Minister said that the Chhattisgarh Government is about to complete two years of its tenure on December 13. He noted that the government has fulfilled all guarantees made under “Modi Ki Guarantee” during these two years. Under the Mahtari Vandan scheme, Rs 1,000 is deposited every month in the bank accounts of women beneficiaries. He added that farmers are receiving payment for paddy at the rate of Rs 3,100 per quintal for 21 quintals per acre, and Tendu leaf collectors are being paid Rs 5,500 per standard bag. Distribution of Charan Paduka- footwear for Tendu leaf collectors has also been resumed.

Chief Minister Sai said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah have resolved to eliminate the biggest obstacle to the development of the nation and the state—Maoism—by March 2026. He stated that the Chhattisgarh Government, in close coordination with the Central Government, is undertaking strong and effective measures to free the state from Maoist terror. He expressed confidence that Chhattisgarh will soon be completely free from Maoist extremism.

Paying tribute to Bhagwan Birsa Munda, the Chief Minister said that he is a source of pride not only for the tribal community but for the entire nation. He also highlighted the significant contributions of tribal heroes and freedom fighters to India’s independence and nation-building. He said that the visit of President Smt Droupadi Murmu to Surguja on the occasion of Bhagwan Birsa Munda Jayanti is a matter of honour and pride for all.

Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that the successful implementation of welfare schemes by the Central and State Governments has brought far-reaching changes in Chhattisgarh. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, a new chapter of development is being written across the state, and significant transformation is visible from Bastar to Surguja. He also elaborated on the pro-people initiatives and policies of the Chhattisgarh Government.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, MP Shri Santosh Pandey, District Panchayat President Smt Namrata Singh and Tribal Community State President Shri MD Thakur also addressed the gathering. In the ceremony, tribal achievers excelling in various fields were felicitated, Prime Minister Awas beneficiaries were given completion certificates, and meritorious students who succeeded in various competitive exams were honoured.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai joined the gathering at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in Raipur to listen to the 128th episode of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s widely loved monthly radio address, Mann Ki Baat. Describing the episode as deeply inspiring, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Mann Ki Baat has evolved into a national ritual that awakens and unites the country’s collective consciousness. “In every episode, the Prime Minister speaks to the nation as a guardian would to his family, guiding, encouraging and reminding us of our shared responsibility,” he observed.

Chief Minister Shri Sai noted that Mann Ki Baat has become a window through which innovation, people’s participation and exemplary grassroots efforts from every corner of India are brought to national attention. “Through this platform, individuals dedicated to nation-building receive the recognition they truly deserve,” he said. Referring to today’s address, he highlighted the Prime Minister’s appreciation of the record rise in foodgrain production, advanced methods of honey processing in several states, increased honey cultivation, naval empowerment, the establishment of the Naval Museum, the significance of nature farming, as well as the first-ever public recitation of the Gita in Saudi Arabia and the grand celebrations of Gita Mahotsav in Latvia and other countries — all of which, he said, “offer inspiration to every citizen.”

Emphasising that Chhattisgarh is well-positioned to take nature farming to new heights, Shri Sai said that farmers and young entrepreneurs in the state can achieve remarkable success in this field. He added that India’s rising foodgrain output includes a significant contribution from Chhattisgarh.

Reflecting on the Prime Minister’s address, the Chief Minister said today’s episode was rich with valuable insights. The Prime Minister spoke of Gen-Z innovators using space technology to test drones in Mars-like conditions, the inspirational journey from the unsuccessful Chandrayaan-2 to the triumphant Chandrayaan-3, the commendable performance of India’s women athletes, the grand Gita Mahotsav in Kurukshetra, the 3D Light & Sound Museum based on the Mahabharata, the commissioning of the indigenous warship INS Mahe, his recent visit to Bhutan, the fourth edition of the Kashi Tamil Sangamam in Varanasi, winter tourism and winter sports, and innovations across the country under the "Vocal for Local" movement, alongside numerous environmental protection efforts.

Speaker of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Dr. Raman Singh said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is among the world’s most admired leaders, and through Mann Ki Baat he shares cultural, social and strategic insights with the people in a way that is accessible and transformative. “His experiences teach us how to take the local to the global,” he remarked, noting the special significance of listening to Mann Ki Baat on a day when the Prime Minister himself was present in Raipur.

Prime Minister Modi, in today’s episode, recalled the special programme held in the Central Hall on Constitution Day (26 November), and spoke of the nationwide celebrations marking 150 years of Vande Mataram. He also mentioned the raising of the Dharmadhwaja atop the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on November 25, and the inauguration of the ‘Panchajanya’ memorial at Jyotisar in Kurukshetra on the same day.

The Prime Minister described the opening of the world’s largest LEAP Engine MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) facility in Hyderabad as a major leap in India’s aerospace capabilities. He highlighted the induction of INS Mahe into the Indian Navy and the launch of Skyroot’s ‘Infinity Campus’ as milestones in India’s burgeoning space ecosystem — symbols of India’s innovation, ambition and youthful energy. He also announced that India has achieved a historic feat in agriculture by producing a record 357 million tonnes of foodgrains — 100 million tons more than a decade ago. Celebrating India’s sporting excellence, he noted that the recent announcement granting India the hosting rights of the Commonwealth Games is a moment of national pride.

He also referred to the enthusiastic international participation in the Gita Mahotsav at Brahmasarovar, Kurukshetra. People from several European and Central Asian nations were drawn to the event, inspired by the Bhagavad Gita. Earlier this month, Saudi Arabia witnessed the first-ever public recitation of the Gita, while the festival in Latvia saw artists from Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Algeria taking part with great enthusiasm.
