Administrative Approval Granted for setting up Sub-Registrar Offices in Bhakhara, Lavan, Sakri and Rajkishore Nagar

Raipur : In a significant move aimed at making registry and related services easier, more accessible and time-bound for the general public, the State Government has approved the opening of four new Sub-Registrar Offices. Under the provisions of the Registration Act, 1908, administrative approval has been accorded for establishing Sub-Registrar Offices at Bhakhara (Dhamtari district), Lavan (tehsil headquarters in Balodabazar-Bhatapara district), and Sakri and Rajkishore Nagar in Bilaspur district.

According to available information, administrative approval has been granted for opening a new Sub-Registrar Office at Bhakhara in Dhamtari district. Similarly, approval has been accorded for Sub-Registrar Office at Tehsil Headquarters Lavan under Balodabazar-Bhatapara District Registrar, and at Rajkishore Nagar and Sakri area in Bilaspur district.

With the establishment of these new Sub-Registrar Offices, residents of the concerned areas will no longer be required to travel to distant district headquarters for registration-related work. This is expected to save both time and money, reduce congestion, and make the registration process more convenient and transparent. The move is also likely to boost local economic activity and accelerate administrative functioning at the grassroots level.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated that the State Government’s objective is to ensure that government services are easily accessible to citizens. He said that the approval of new Sub-Registrar Offices will provide substantial relief to people in completing registration-related work. Describing it as another strong step towards good governance, he noted that the decision will save citizens’ time and enhance transparency in administrative processes.

Finance and Commercial Tax and Registration Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary said that the State Government is giving the highest priority to the expansion of citizen-centric services. The approval of four new Sub-Registrar Offices, he said, is a reflection of this commitment. With the opening of these offices, the registration system will be further strengthened and people will be able to access quality services in nearby areas, making the process simpler, more transparent and faster. He informed that the Registration Department has implemented 10 new revolutionary reforms, the benefits of which will also be available to citizens in these regions.

These include auto deed generation, Aadhaar-based biometric verification, doorstep registration, automatic mutation, online encumbrance-free certificates, integrated cashless payment, WhatsApp-based services, DigiLocker integration, Digi-Doc services, and facilities for online search and download of registration documents using Khasra numbers.

State Government’s decision is being widely viewed as an important step taken in public interest, which will make the registration system more decentralised, efficient and effective.

Major Tourism Development Boost for Jashpur Under Swadesh Darshan Scheme 2.0

Modern Tourist Facilities Including Homestays, Resorts, Pathways and Landscaping to Be Developed

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today formally performed the bhoomipujan of the Mayali–Bagicha Development Project at _Mayali_ Nature Camp. The project has been approved under the sub-scheme CBDD of the Government of India’s Swadesh Darshan Scheme 2.0. Set to be implemented at an estimated cost of approximately Rs 10 crore, the Mayali-Bagicha Development Project envisages the development of a wide range of tourism facilities in Mayali, at Madheshwar Mountain, regarded as the world’s largest natural Shivling, and also at the Kailash Cave area in Bagicha.

The project aims to conserve the region’s natural, cultural and tribal heritage while strengthening community-based tourism. It is expected to generate new employment opportunities for local youth and provide Jashpur district with a distinct identity as a major tourism destination.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Shri Sai congratulated the people of the region and described the Mayali–Bagicha Development Project as a historic initiative for tourism development in Jashpur district. He said that a strong foundation for the development of Mayali has been laid today. Mayali is rapidly emerging on the tourism map and, in the coming years, will be developed as a global tourism centre.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Mayali’s identity has, for centuries, been associated with Madheshwar Mahadev, believed to be the world’s largest natural Shivling. Through this development project, the religious and tourism significance of Madheshwar Mountain will receive recognition at the national and international levels. As part of the project, a tourist resort and a skill development centre will be constructed near the Mayali Dam.

He further stated that Mayali will be developed as a comprehensive eco-tourism and adventure destination. Forests, waterfalls, hills and rich tribal culture of this region will be showcased to tourists from across the country and the world. Income generated through tourism will directly benefit local communities. Shri Sai added that with this objective, the State Government has implemented a homestay policy, enabling rural families to participate directly in tourism activities, generate income, and offer visitors an opportunity to experience local culture closely.

Chief Minister Shri Sai further said that the skill development centre will provide training in tour guiding, hotel services, adventure sports, handicrafts and digital booking services. This will promote not only tourism but also provide national and international recognition to the social and cultural diversity of Jashpur.

Development Works to Transform Mayali into a New Tourism Hub

Mayali region will be developed as an integrated destination for nature, religious and rural tourism. Under the project, five tourist cottages, a conference and convention hall, a skill development centre, a grand entrance gate, boundary wall, modern toilet facilities, landscaping and pathways will be constructed. These facilities will enhance tourist stay arrangements, support various events, and generate employment opportunities.

To strengthen religious tourism, the Shiv temple area will be developed with an entrance gate, toilet facilities, landscaping and pathways. Similarly, at Kailash Cave premise in Bagicha, works will include the construction of an entrance gate, picnic spot, resting sheds, ghat development, pathways, and the renovation of steps and railings, ensuring a safe and convenient experience for visitors.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister’s wife Smt Kaushalya Sai, Vice Chairperson of the Surguja Regional Tribal Development Authority and Pathalgaon MLA Smt Gomati Sai, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board Shri Neelu Sharma, chairpersons of various boards and corporations, public representatives, administrative officers, and a large number of villagers were present.

PM Awas is not just housing, but the foundation of dignity, security and self-reliance for poor families: CM Shri Vishnu Deo Sai

Raipur : Chhattisgarh has once again set a strong example of good governance, strong will and result-oriented administration through the effective implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). In the very first Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, a historic decision was taken to approve 18 lakh PMAY houses.

As a result of sustained, coordinated and tireless efforts by all districts in compliance with this decision, Chhattisgarh has established a new national record under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. In the current financial year 2025–26, within a short span of just 10 months and 4 days, the state has completed construction of the highest number of houses in the country—5 lakh PMAY units.

This achievement is particularly significant as it is the first time since the launch of the scheme that Chhattisgarh has constructed 5 lakh houses in a single financial year. Despite the monsoon period, the state constructed an average of over 1,600 houses per day, setting a new benchmark for timely, quality-driven and target-oriented execution.

Active participation by districts and a healthy culture of competitive performance under PMAY formed the backbone of this achievement. Bilaspur district completed 29,235 houses, Mahasamund 27,224, Balrampur 27,012, Korba 26,839 and Raigarh 26,707 houses, playing a leading role in the state’s overall performance. In addition, Janpad Panchayats such as Masturi, Arang, Dabhra, Bilha, Pali and Jaijaipur also made notable contributions by completing over 7,500 PMAY houses.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma said that along with housing construction, equal priority has been given to livelihood generation in Chhattisgarh. Thousands of women associated with self-help groups have begun supplying construction materials by taking loans from CLF banks, giving fresh momentum to the rural economy. As a result of this initiative, over 8,000 women have emerged as ‘Lakhpati Didis’, becoming self-reliant—an important milestone in the direction of women empowerment.

At the same time, masonry training is being provided to PMAY beneficiaries to link them with skills. So far in the current financial year, more than 6,000 beneficiaries have been trained through RSETIs across districts, including over 960 women and more than 292 surrendered Naxalites. This initiative is proving to be an effective medium for skill development, social rehabilitation and mainstream integration.

Under the Mahatma Gandhi NREGA, various livelihood enhancement works have been approved on the private land of housing beneficiaries. At present, construction of over 10,000 livelihood ponds is underway across the state.

Thus, through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Chhattisgarh is not only ensuring rapid construction of houses but is also simultaneously creating sustainable livelihood opportunities, providing a strong foundation for inclusive, balanced and sustainable development in the state.

Message of Water Conservation on World Wetlands Day

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai recently released the poster of the ‘Women for Wetlands’ campaign at his residence on the occasion of World Wetlands Day. Appreciating the initiative aimed at protecting wetlands and natural water sources in the State, Chief Minister said that water is life and wetlands are an invaluable heritage of human civilisation. He described the involvement of women in this mission as an inspiring step towards environmental conservation.

Chief Minister said that rivers, ponds, wells, tanks, and wetlands are not merely sources of water, but symbols of life-giving nature. Protecting them, he added, is the collective responsibility of society.

*Ms. Pragya Nirwani Leading Awareness Drive*

The campaign has been initiated by Ms. Pragya Nirwani, founder of the Women for Wetlands movement and district president of the Mahila Morcha, who is conducting extensive public awareness programmes across the State. Under the initiative, women are being brought together to protect ponds, canals, wells, rivers, and other natural water bodies.

Ms. Nirwani also submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister seeking the declaration of the Gidhwa–Parsada–Nagdha bird sanctuary in Nawagarh as a Ramsar site. Chief Minister said that women are the first guardians of nature, and if they come forward, the protection of water bodies will become a true people’s movement.

Among those present at the poster release were Prasanna Awasthi, Prachi Sharma, Pranita Sharma, Aarvika Awasthi, and other dignitaries.

Raipur : At the Cabinet Meeting held today at Mantralaya (Mahanadi Bhavan), under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, several important decisions were taken:

1. Major decision to curb narcotics

In a significant step towards preventing substance abuse, the Cabinet has approved the creation of 100 new posts provisioned in the Main Budget 2025–26 in order to constitute District-Level Anti-Narcotics Task Forces in 10 districts of the state. These districts include Raipur, Mahasamund, Bilaspur, Durg, Bastar, Surguja, Kabirdham, Jashpur, Rajnandgaon and Korba.

2. Approval for Special Operations Group (SOG)

The Cabinet has approved 44 new posts, as provisioned in the Main Budget for financial year 2025–26, for the formation of a Special Operations Group (SOG) under the Special Branch of Police Headquarters. The SOG will be responsible for reaching the site immediately in the event of any major or sudden incident, managing the situation on the ground, and swiftly neutralising terrorist attacks or other serious threats. The SOG will be a specially trained unit prepared to handle high-risk and sensitive operations.

3. Establishment of Flight Training Organisations (FTOs)

The Cabinet has taken an important decision to establish Flight Training Organisations (FTOs) at various airports and airstrips in the state and approved the operational guidelines for the same. Under this initiative, pilot training facilities will be developed in Chhattisgarh. Considering the growing demand in the aviation sector and the need to create employment opportunities for youth, these institutions will prove highly beneficial. The initiative will also promote facilities such as aircraft recycling, helicopter bunking and aero sports. The Flight Training Organisations will be established through private participation.

4. Approval of Chhattisgarh Innovation and Startup Promotion Policy 2025–26

The Cabinet has approved "Chhattisgarh Innovation and Startup Promotion Policy 2025–26". This policy will strengthen the startup ecosystem, along with the development of incubators and other stakeholders. It aims to position Chhattisgarh as a leading innovation hub in the country. Improvement in the State Startup Ranking issued by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Government of India, will enhance the state’s attractiveness for investment.

5. Handover of completed residential colonies to urban local bodies

The Cabinet has decided to hand over 35 completed residential colonies developed by Chhattisgarh Housing Board and Raipur Development Authority to Municipal Corporations and Municipal Councils. These colonies include open plots, gardens and other public amenities. However, residential, commercial and semi-public saleable properties will not be included in the transfer.

Due to the absence of formal transfer so far, residents have been deprived of several basic civic amenities and have been burdened with dual expenses for maintenance. While paying property tax to municipal bodies, residents have also been required to pay maintenance charges to the Housing Board. With the transfer of these colonies, urban local bodies will be able to provide essential services such as water supply, electricity, roads and sanitation, and residents will receive relief from additional maintenance charges.

6. Construction of a large multi-storey building at Nava Raipur Atal Nagar

The Cabinet has approved construction of a large multi-storey building by the Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Development Authority for offices of government departments and corporations at Nava Raipur Atal Nagar. Space will be allocated to various departments to ensure optimal utilisation of land.

7. Empowering Collectors for planned development of Sirpur and Arpa areas

To ensure planned development and accelerate development works in Sirpur and Arpa regions, the Cabinet has authorised the District Collectors concerned to allot government land in these areas.

It is noteworthy that the Sirpur Special Area Development Authority and the Arpa Special Area Development Authority aim to ensure planned and integrated development of the respective riverine areas. Effective implementation of the master plan, land-use planning and urban development schemes are essential for this purpose. To expedite development works, allotment of government land was necessary. Considering the current financial position of both authorities, it has been decided to allot government land at a premium and lease rent of Rs 1/-. The authority to allot land has been vested with the respective District Collectors.

8. Approval for implementation of Chhattisgarh Cloud First Policy

The Cabinet has approved the implementation of the “Chhattisgarh Cloud First Policy” in the state. The proposal was presented by the Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of Chhattisgarh.

Under this policy, all the departments, undertakings and autonomous institutions of the state government will procure cloud services only from cloud service providers approved by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, or from secure data centres and disaster recovery centres located in India. For any special or exceptional requirement, prior permission from the State Cloud Council will be mandatory.

As per the policy, migration of low-priority applications and archival data to the cloud will be completed by 2027–28, while migration of high-priority services will be undertaken by 2029–30. All new applications will be developed using cloud-native technologies.

The Cabinet has authorised the Department of Electronics and Information Technology to make necessary amendments to the policy in the future. The policy will lead to reduced IT infrastructure costs, improved operational efficiency, enhanced cyber security, continuity of services during disasters, and round-the-clock availability of citizen services. It will also further strengthen data security, transparency and tracking mechanisms.

9. Approval of Mobile Tower Scheme to expand digital infrastructure

The Cabinet has approved the Mobile Tower Scheme to expand digital infrastructure in Chhattisgarh. Due to geographical challenges and limited mobile connectivity in Left Wing Extremism-affected areas, effective implementation of government schemes has been hindered. Under this scheme, the process of granting permissions and administrative approvals to selected service providers for the installation of mobile towers will be simplified and made time-bound.

Under the Mobile Tower Scheme, towers will be installed in selected habitations currently without mobile network coverage. Enhanced digital connectivity will boost the rural economy, expand e-governance services and promote socio-economic development. The scheme will also strengthen security arrangements, particularly in Left Wing Extremism-affected areas, by improving communication facilities, thereby enhancing transparency and efficiency in administrative functioning. With the implementation of this scheme, services and schemes such as the Public Distribution System, Direct Benefit Transfer, health services, education, emergency services including Dial 112, will become more easily accessible to citizens in remote areas.

Chief Minister chairs 21st meeting of Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Fund Advisory Committee

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai chaired the 21st meeting of the Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Fund Advisory Committee at Mahanadi Bhawan on February 4. Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister stated that Chhattisgarh is a mineral-rich state with abundant reserves of several minerals, including rare earth minerals. He stressed that all ongoing mining projects in the state must be implemented in a quality-driven and time-bound manner to maximise their economic and developmental impact.

The Chief Minister emphasised that the monitoring of illegal mining and the unauthorised transportation of minerals, currently carried out by a Special Task Force, should be further strengthened by utilising modern technologies, such as IT-based systems and drones. He stated that the use of technology would enable more effective and continuous surveillance of illegal activities and help ensure better compliance with mining regulations.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister reviewed the monitoring mechanism for expenditure and progress of works through the Mineral 2.0 Portal under the PMKKKY scheme. He directed that, to ensure quality of works and timely execution of projects, a State-Level Central Programme Management Unit should be established under the District Mineral Foundation Act. This unit will enable closer supervision of DMF-funded works and ensure their effective implementation across districts.

The committee approved financial assistance for strengthening the transportation network under rail infrastructure projects. An amount of Rs. 328 crore was approved for the Chirmiri–Nagpur railway line. In addition, for the construction of the Chhattisgarh Railway Corridor, including the 1-East Corridor and 3-East–West Corridors, the committee approved Rs. 60.10 crore, along with ₹24.10 crore as quasi-equity.

In another key decision, the committee approved Rs. 112.70 crore for the development of various projects as part of the 49 per cent equity share of Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Corporation Limited (CMDC) in the NMDC–CMDC Company Limited (NCL) joint venture. An additional Rs. 10 crore was also approved for departmental works of CMDC.

The meeting also approved Rs.138.17 crore for several departmental activities under the Directorate of Geology and Mining. These include the auction of mineral blocks, payments through the Mineral Online 2.0 system, geological surveys and prospecting, execution of technical works through external sources, and deployment of IT and drone technology to curb illegal transportation of major and minor minerals. The approved amount will also support the Central Programme Management Unit for monitoring DMF-related works under the District Mineral Foundation Act.

Information was also presented on the implementation status of decisions taken during the 20th meeting of the Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Fund Advisory Committee.

Link Youth with Skill Upgradation to Make Them Self-Reliant: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai

CM Chairs the Review Meeting of Skill Development, Technical Education and Employment Department

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has directed officials to ensure that young people become self-reliant by providing them with extensive skill-upgradation training. He stated that several new industries are set to be established in Chhattisgarh in the coming years, creating significant employment opportunities for the state’s youth. The Chief Minister was reviewing the functioning of the Skill Development, Technical Education, Employment and Training Department at Mahanadi Bhawan on February 3. He also instructed officials to organise employment fairs at regular intervals across various districts of the state.

During the review, the Chief Minister laid special emphasis on making the state’s youth employment-oriented and on modernising technical institutions. He stated that modernising Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) would ensure training aligned with industry requirements, thereby expanding employment opportunities in the state. The Chief Minister approved the proposal to integrate the CSSDA with the State Project Livelihood College Society and directed officials to initiate the process without delay.

He also instructed that the rational deployment of Assistant Directors and Assistant Project Officers be ensured in districts. Directions were given for the effective implementation of the Aadhaar-Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) at training centres and for further strengthening the feedback module to obtain inputs from trained youth.

Officials informed in the meeting that under the Mukhyamantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, more than 4.90 lakh youth have been trained since 2013, out of which over 2.71 lakh have been provided employment. At present, 356 training provider institutions (VTPs) and 207 registered courses are operational across the state.

Under the Central Government’s Pradhan Mantri Setu Yojana, six clusters in Chhattisgarh have been selected under the hub-and-spoke model, with a proposed investment of approximately Rs. 60,000 crore for the upgradation and modernisation of ITIs. In this, the Centre’s share is about 50 per cent, the State Government’s share is 33 per cent, and the industry’s contribution is at least 17 per cent.

It was further informed that under the PM JANMAN Yojana for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups, around 1,700 youth are being provided skill training in nine districts. In addition, more than 600 youth have been linked with skill training programmes for the rehabilitation of surrendered Naxalites in districts including Bijapur, Dantewada, Sukma and Bastar. Enrolment in engineering courses during the 2025–26 academic session has increased by 31 per cent compared to last year, while enrolment in diploma courses has increased by 36 per cent.

Paddy procurement extends for two days

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai instructs officials to make arrangements for extended dates in the interest of farmers

Raipur : Acting on the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the state government has provided significant relief in the paddy procurement process, giving top priority to farmers’ interests across the state. Under this decision, farmers belonging to three specific categories have been permitted to sell their paddy for an additional two days, up to 05 and 06 February 2026.

As per the directions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, three categories of farmers will be eligible to sell paddy during this extended period. These include farmers who applied for procurement tokens after 10 January 2026 but whose verification could not be completed, farmers who applied after 10 January 2026 and were found to possess paddy after verification, and farmers who received tokens on 28 January 2026, 29 January 2026 and 30 January 2026 but were unable to sell their paddy on the scheduled dates due to unavoidable reasons.

To ensure that farmers do not face any inconvenience during the extended procurement period, concerned officials have also been directed to make adequate arrangements for gunny bags and labourers at procurement centres.

This decision of the state government reflects its sensitivity towards farmers and its strong commitment to ensuring the safe and smooth sale of agricultural produce.

Chief Minister Shri Sai and Group Captain Shri Shukla Successfully Launch Rocket Built by Children

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, along with Group Captain and astronaut Shri Shubhanshu Shukla, successfully launched a rocket built by children from Jashpur by pressing the launch button at a programme held in Rakhi, Nava Raipur, on February 3. Representatives of IDYM informed that this is the first space centre established in any government school in the country. They also stated that the rocket was designed and built by students using cardboard and PVC pipes, showcasing innovation and scientific curiosity at the school level.

It is noteworthy that under Project Antariksh Sangwari, initiated by the Raipur district administration, Chhattisgarh’s first space centre has been established at Government Higher Secondary School, Rakhi, Nava Raipur. The space centre was formally inaugurated by Chief Minister Shri Sai and Indian Air Force Group Captain Shri Shubhanshu Shukla on February 3, who also reviewed its facilities and activities.

The space centre has been developed under the joint initiative of the Raipur district administration, IDYM and the SARDA Group. The facility is equipped with a space-qualified clean room, a student satellite laboratory, a ground station and a mission control centre. Through these advanced facilities, students will gain hands-on experience in satellite design, assembly and testing, as well as practical training in signal reception and data decoding.

Chhattisgarh Emerging as One of India’s Leading States in Rail Connectivity: Chief Minister Shri Sai

Raipur : Welcoming the historic budgetary provision of Rs. 7,470 crore for railway infrastructure development in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw.

The Chief Minister stated that sustained efforts under the “double-engine government” are bringing visible and unprecedented transformation in the railway sector across Chhattisgarh. Compared to an annual average railway allocation of Rs. 311 crore during 2009–14, the provision of Rs. 7,470 crore in the 2026–27 budget marks a nearly 24-fold increase, setting a new benchmark in the state’s infrastructure history. At present, railway projects worth Rs. 51,080 crore are underway in the state, covering new track construction, station redevelopment, and significant safety upgrades.

Highlighting inclusive development, Chief Minister Shri Sai said the commencement of the Rowghat–Jagdalpur rail project, which will connect Jagdalpur in the remote Bastar region, is an invaluable gift from the Central Government to the tribal communities of Bastar. He noted that this long-awaited project will open new pathways for regional development, improving access to markets, education, healthcare, and employment opportunities.

The Chief Minister further stated that, in addition to the Parmalkasa–Kharsiya corridor, new freight corridors have also been approved. These strategic projects are expected to significantly enhance freight movement and logistics efficiency, while nearly doubling the number of passenger trains operating in Chhattisgarh in the coming years.

Under the Amrit Bharat Station Yojana, 32 railway stations across the state are being modernised to provide passenger-friendly, accessible, and future-ready facilities. Stations such as Dongargarh (Phase I), Ambikapur, Bhanupratappur, Bhilai, and Urkura have already been completed. In addition, two pairs of Vande Bharat Express and one pair of Amrit Bharat Express trains are currently operating in the state, offering passengers faster, safer, and more modern rail travel.

Chief Minister Shri Sai noted that since 2014, Chhattisgarh has witnessed the construction of nearly 1,200 kilometres of new railway tracks, achieved 100 per cent electrification, and completed around 170 flyovers and underpasses. The installation of advanced safety systems such as ‘Kavach’ has further strengthened rail safety standards. Owing to these comprehensive efforts, Chhattisgarh is steadily positioning itself among the country’s leading states in railway infrastructure and services.

Shri Sai sought their blessings for the prosperity and well-being of the State. Chief Minister Shri Sai also announced an increase in the grant for 'Sant Samagam' Ceremony from Rs 50 lakh to Rs 75 lakh.

Extending his greetings on the auspicious occasion of Magh Purnima, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the Sant Samagam Ceremony at Kabir Dharmnagar, Damakheda is becoming more grand with each passing year, reflecting the growing faith and devotion of the people.

He said that Kabirpanth has a deep and widespread influence on the social life of Chhattisgarh, which is why the people of the State are peace-loving by nature. Shri Sai shared that he has been familiar with the teachings of Kabirpanth since childhood and that there are 8–10 Kabirpanthi families in his native village, Bagiya. He further informed that the final process for gazette notification to officially rename Damakheda as Kabir Dharmnagar is currently underway.

Chief Minister Shri Sai further stated that people are receiving direct benefits from the double-engine government and that Chhattisgarh is rapidly moving towards becoming a developed State. He asserted that Naxalism, which has long been an obstacle to Chhattisgarh’s development, is now on the verge of being eradicated completely. By March 31, 2026, Naxalism will be eliminated from the Chhattisgarh, Shri Sai affirmed . “We are fulfilling the promises made to the people at a rapid pace. The advantages of the double-engine government are clearly visible,” he said, adding that Chhattisgarh must be taken far ahead and firmly established as a developed State.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma said that the chadar tilak ceremony of Panth Shri Udit Muni Naam Saheb was remarkable and divine. He noted that Panth Shri has been actively working in the fields of plantation drives, social service, de-addiction and youth upliftment. By offering darshan on this occasion, he said, blessings were sought for the happiness and prosperity of the State. He also remarked that Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai remains consistently concerned about the development works of the Kabir Ashram and issues prompt directions for their early completion.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai reaffirmed the Chhattisgarh Government’s deep commitment to Bastar’s rich traditions and folk culture during his two-day visit to Narayanpur on January 30. During the visit, the Chief Minister reached the ‘Garhbengal Ghotul’, where villagers warmly welcomed him amid the resonant beats of traditional instruments. Immersed in the vibrant folk ambience, the Chief Minister was seen actively engaging with the region's cultural spirit.

The Chief Minister closely observed the distinctive architectural design of the Ghotul and interacted with eminent cultural figures of Bastar, encouraging them for their contribution to preserving tribal heritage. He stated that since ancient times, the Ghotul has served as an essential centre of education and values for the tribal community. Located near Chendru Park, this modern Ghotul will not only connect the younger generation with their roots but also serve as a strong platform to introduce tourists from across the country and the world to the tribal lifestyle and social system. He described the Garhbengal Ghotul as a symbol of preserving Chhattisgarh’s glorious heritage. He stated that the state government is continuously working to protect and promote Bastar’s unique culture, traditions, and traditional knowledge.

During his visit, the Chief Minister inspected the Leyyor and Leyosk Kurma—dedicated spaces built for young men and women—along with the Bidar Kurma, which houses a collection of traditional attire, ancient musical instruments, and cultural artefacts. At the request of villagers, the Chief Minister also visited the Saga Kurma, where he honoured the region’s culinary traditions by tasting traditional Bastar dishes. The meal included gato-bhaat, kodo-bhaat, urad dal, hirua dar, jeera bhaji, kanji pej, bhaji ghiroul phool, chati bhaji, kanda bhaji, munga bhaji, imli aamat, madia pej, tamatar chutney, chila roti, ragi kurma, ragi cake, ragi laddu, and ragi jalebi.

State Government transferred Rs. 15,595 Crore So Far Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana in Chhattisgarh

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai Releases 24th Instalment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana from Narayanpur

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai released the 24th instalment of the Chhattisgarh Government’s Mahtari Vandan Yojana on 30 January at a state-level programme held in Narayanpur. On this occasion, a total amount of Rs. 641.34 crore was transferred through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) into the bank accounts of 68,39,592 eligible women beneficiaries across the state.

Since the launch of the scheme, a total amount of Rs. 14,954.42 crore has already been transferred directly into the bank accounts of women beneficiaries through 23 instalments. This system has ensured “financial transparency and efficiency” while emerging as a strong and impactful initiative in the direction of women's empowerment.

With the release of Rs. 641.34 crore as the 24th instalment by Chief Minister Shri Sai, the total amount disbursed under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana has increased to Rs. 15,595.77 crore. This reflects the state government’s “strong commitment towards women's welfare and empowerment” and clearly demonstrates that lakhs of women across Chhattisgarh are directly benefiting from the scheme in a transparent and timely manner. In Narayanpur district alone, Rs. 2.72 crore has been transferred to 27,272 beneficiary women.

Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Higher Education Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma, along with local public representatives and a large number of villagers, were present on the occasion.

CM Shri Vishnu Deo Sai gives on-the-spot approval during inspection of boys’ ashram

Interacts with schoolchildren, urges them to focus on studies and sports as well

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Friday visited the boys’ ashram at Kurushnar village in the Abujhmad region, where he interacted with students and reviewed the arrangements at the residential facility. Acting on a demand raised by the students, the Chief Minister approved the construction of additional classrooms on the spot and issued necessary directions to officials. He also inspected the fair price shop at the village. Revenue Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap and several other public representatives were present on the occasion.

Interacting with the students, CM Shri Sai urged them to study diligently and bring pride to their parents as well as the state and the nation. He asked a student residing at the ashram, Ramji, about his future aspirations. Ramji replied that he wished to become a teacher. Appreciating his goal, the Chief Minister encouraged him to work hard and focus on his studies. Similarly, student Sop Singh recited multiplication tables for the Chief Minister. During the interaction, Aditya, a Class II student, asked the Chief Minister how he felt about going to school ? In response, CM Shri Sai said that he enjoyed going to school and advised children to devote ample time to studies in their childhood, as education is essential to becoming a successful person.

The Chief Minister also enquired about the availability of textbooks and said that along with academics, students should actively participate in sports and other physical activities. On the occasion, school children briefed the Chief Minister about models related to space missions. CM Shri Sai congratulated all the students who presented the models and encouraged them to study well and strive to become scientists.

Inspection of fair price shop

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai visited the government fair price shop at Kurushnar to assess the ground-level implementation of government schemes. Ration card holders present at the shop informed the Chief Minister that they were receiving their rations regularly and on time.

The Chief Minister interacted cordially with Mehro, Dashri, Tilo and Sunita of Dutakhar; Rajni Bai and Anita of Gumiyabeda; and Veena Bai of Kandadi village, and also enquired about their family members. They informed him that they were receiving rice every month and that the quality was good.

During the inspection, the Chief Minister reviewed the availability of stock, maintenance, cleanliness, stock registers and storage capacity at the fair price shop. Notably, the government fair price shop caters to 12 nearby villages—Alwar, Kandadi, Kurushnar, Kodoli (Viran), Gumiyabeda, Jivlapadar, Arsagarh, Dutakhar, Kankal, Jampara, Kawadwar and Nadipara—and provides rations to 408 ration card holders.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai visited district headquarters of Narayanpur during his two-day visit to Bastar on January 30. He participated in several programmes and announced major development initiatives for the district. He attended the district-level Bastar Pandum organised at the High School Ground and dedicated 357 development works worth Rs. 351 crore 49 lakh 45 thousand.

Addressing a large public gathering, the Chief Minister stated that Chhattisgarh is steadily moving towards the end of Left Wing Extremism, enabling development to regain momentum. He noted that due to Maoist violence, the region had remained deprived of development for a long time, but today innovation and progress are reaching these areas.

Speaking further at the High School Ground in Narayanpur, the Chief Minister said that under the firm resolve of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, the state government is making sustained efforts to free Chhattisgarh from Maoist influence. He informed that through the Niyad Nella Nar Yojana, access to various government schemes and development activities has been ensured in more than 400 villages of Bastar. Surrendered Maoists are being provided skill upgradation training to help them join the mainstream and become self-reliant, ensuring a “dignified livelihood and social reintegration.”

Reiterating the government’s resolve, the Chief Minister said that efforts are being made to connect Bastar with all dimensions of development by promoting tourism, agriculture, and animal husbandry. He emphasised that the state government is organising Bastar Pandum with the objective of preserving and nurturing tribal culture and traditional heritage, calling upon people to remain rooted in their tribal civilisation and legacy.

Chief Minister Announces Six Construction Works Worth Rs. 332 Crore

During the programme, the Chief Minister announced six major construction works with an estimated cost of Rs. 332 crore. This includes the construction of the 125-kilometre-long Narayanpur–Orchha–Aader–Lanka–Bedre–Kutrumamed road at a cost of Rs. 250 crore. This important route will connect Narayanpur district with Bijapur district and link several interior villages, including Edvaya, Edjum, Aader, Kudmel, Dhodribeda, Jatlur, Dhobe, Dodimarka, Padmeta and Lanka.

He also announced surface strengthening work on the 28-kilometre Rajnandgaon–Bailadila road at a cost of approximately Rs. 34 crore, connecting Narayanpur with Dantewada district. Similarly, surface strengthening of the 28-kilometre Narayanpur–Sonpur–Maroda road was announced at a cost of Rs. 34 crore 12 lakh. This road connects the district up to the Maharashtra border and links villages such as Brehbeda, kurushnar , Basing, and Sonpur.

In addition, approval was given for the construction of a high-level bridge and approach road over Ghudsaal Nala on the Brehbeda–Kandadi–Kihikad–Murnar–Becha road, with a length of 80 metres and a cost of Rs. 12 crore 42 lakh. The Chief Minister also announced approval for school infrastructure and buildings for ten alternative primary schools started in the interior areas of Abujhmad, along with an ashram school building at Toke, at a cost of Rs. 1 crore 6 lakh. Furthermore, a sports ground at the district education hub in Garanji was announced at a cost of Rs. 50 lakh.

Addressing the gathering, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap stated that under the decisive leadership of the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister, armed Maoist violence will be completely eliminated from the country by 31 March 2026. He expressed confidence that Narayanpur district will soon become Maoist-free and move steadily on the path of peace, development and prosperity. Revenue Minister and district in-charge minister Shri Tank Ram Verma stated that the Chief Minister has gifted development works worth Rs. 351 crore to the district, reflecting the state’s rapid progress under his leadership.

Earlier, Bastar MP Shri Mahesh Kashyap said that tribal culture and traditions have continued for generations and Bastar’s cultural heritage has a distinct global identity. He thanked the Chief Minister for organising Bastar Pandum, stating that through its 12 disciplines, the event is helping preserve tribal traditions, while initiatives like the Bastar Olympics are providing youth an opportunity to showcase their talent and join the mainstream, fostering “peace through participation.”

The Chief Minister also visited the district-level Bastar Pandum, where he reviewed tribal cuisine, attire, ornaments and ancient heritage, emphasising their preservation. Under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana, he blessed four couples who had surrendered Maoist ideology and returned to the mainstream, wishing them a happy married life. He congratulated all the couples for joining the mainstream and beginning a new chapter of life.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai virtually inaugurated eight new cyber police stations and police residential and police station buildings, constructed for Rs. 255 crore across various districts of the state, on January 28. The inauguration was held virtually from the Police Headquarters in Nava Raipur. On this occasion, the Chief Minister extended his congratulations to the people of the state and to police personnel for this significant initiative.

Addressing the programme, Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that the day marked an extremely auspicious milestone for the Police Department, as development works worth Rs. 255 crore were being dedicated to the state. He stated that the presentation clearly showed that the cyber police stations, SDOP offices, police outposts, transit hostels, and residential buildings have been constructed in a modern, well-designed, and highly convenient manner. Appreciating the agencies involved for ensuring quality construction, the Chief Minister stated that these facilities would motivate police officers and personnel to work in a “positive and supportive environment,” enabling them to discharge their duties with greater efficiency and commitment.

The Chief Minister further stated that it has been the consistent effort of the state government to provide better housing and workplace facilities to employees and officers. Such initiatives, he said, would strengthen the law-and-order system across Chhattisgarh and improve public safety. He described the inauguration as a strong beginning that would also help reinforce the security framework in the state's remote and sensitive regions.

Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma stated that the state government is continuously working to exercise effective control over cybercrimes by establishing cyber police stations across multiple locations. He informed that eight new cyber police stations have been inaugurated, including in Jashpur, Raigarh and Rajnandgaon districts. Before this, cyber police stations were operational in five districts of the state. As per future requirements, more cyber police stations will be established in other districts as well.

The Home Minister also stated that campuses of the Indian Reserve Forces in four districts, new police station buildings in nine districts, a Central Armed Force outpost at Mana, and several residential buildings have also been inaugurated under this initiative. Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister for approving and inaugurating the Rs. 255 crore worth of construction works and the eight new cyber police stations, Shri Sharma extended his congratulations and best wishes to all stakeholders associated with the project.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has expressed deep grief over the tragic death of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Shri Ajit Pawar including others in a plane crash reported from Baramati, Maharashtra. Describing the incident as extremely distressing and heartbreaking, Chief Minister said the news has caused immense sorrow.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Shri Ajit Pawar devoted his entire life to farmers’ welfare, public service and the development of the country. His untimely passing, he said, is an irreparable loss not only to his family and supporters but also to Maharashtra’s political landscape.

Paying homage to the deceased, Chief Minister Shri Sai prayed to Lord Shri Ram to grant peace to the departed souls and strength to the bereaved families during this difficult time.
