Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai is not only known for his decisive leadership in welfare schemes and development initiatives but is also deeply admired for his simplicity, warmth, and humane connect with the common people. A heartfelt instance of this emotional bond unfolded today at the helipad during his visit to Janjgir-Champa district, when he lovingly lifted a little girl named Srishti in his arms and blessed her with affection.

Farmer Yogendra Pandey, a resident of Bhanesar village, had come specially to meet the Chief Minister along with his three-year-old daughter, Srishti Pandey. As soon as CM Sai’s eyes met the innocent face of little Srishti, he paused, smiled gently, and lifted her affectionately into his arms. The twinkle in Srishti’s eyes after meeting the Chief Minister infused the entire atmosphere with warmth and emotion.

Srishti’s father, Shri Yogendra Pandey, shared his sentiments with visible emotion, saying, “When I learned that the Chief Minister was visiting, I decided I had to bring my daughter to meet him. The moment he lifted her in his arms, our joy knew no bounds. For both my daughter and me, this has become one of the most precious memories of our lives — something we will cherish forever.”

Srishti, who is currently studying in nursery class, had come eagerly with her father to see Chief Minister Shri Sai. The family belongs to a humble agricultural background and comprises her parents, grandparents, and Srishti herself.

Raipur : On the occasion of National Handloom Day, a delegation from the Chhattisgarh Weavers' Community paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai at his official residence in the capital, Raipur.

CM Shri Sai warmly welcomed all the representatives and extended his heartfelt greetings on National Handloom Day. Appreciating the contributions of the community, he remarked that “Handloom craftsmanship is a treasured heritage that gives Chhattisgarh a distinct identity and reinforces our cultural pride.”

Highlighting the crucial role played by weavers in society, the Chief Minister noted that the weaving community of Chhattisgarh has been enhancing the state’s reputation through their dedication, skill, and creativity.

CM Sai reiterated that the state government is making comprehensive efforts to support the prosperity, empowerment, and self-reliance of weavers. From ensuring access to raw materials and reducing production costs to expanding marketing facilities — various schemes are being effectively implemented on all fronts. “Self-reliance is the key to unlocking the full creative potential of our weavers,” he emphasized.

Referring to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s call for “Vocal for Local”, the Chief Minister said, “This is the time to celebrate and promote our traditional products and craftsmanship. The handloom industry is not just a source of livelihood but a vibrant symbol of our cultural consciousness, which the weaver community continues to preserve with great devotion.”

On this occasion, the members of the community presented the Chief Minister with a replica of a traditional handloom — a weaving machine crafted by local artisans. Acknowledging the gesture, CM Sai said, “This offering is not just a token of respect and emotion, but a representation of creation, tradition, and the cultural values of our state.”

State to Become Self-Reliant in Electronics Manufacturing : New Platform for Innovation and Jobs for Youth

Raipur : Chhattisgarh has achieved a major milestone in the field of electronics and information technology. The state will no longer have to rely on Bengaluru, Pune, or Noida for electronics testing or prototyping. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, has approved the establishment of a Common Facility Centre (CFC) in Naya Raipur.

With the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and the guidance of Housing and Environment Minister OP Choudhary, this project is set to usher in a new era for the state’s electronics industry, startups, and youth. The project will also offer attractive incentives to investors under Chhattisgarh’s industrial policy.

The Common Facility Centre will be developed on 3.23 acres of land in Sector-22 of Naya Raipur Atal Nagar. The total cost of the project is ₹108.43 crore, of which ₹75 crore has been sanctioned by MeitY under the EMC 2.0 scheme of the Government of India. The remaining ₹33.43 crore will be funded by the state government, while the land is being provided by the Naya Raipur Atal Nagar Vikas Pradhikaran (NRANVP).

This Common Facility Centre will create a shared and conducive environment for boosting the electronics industry, offering cutting-edge facilities such as Printed Circuit Board (PCB) prototyping, 3D printing, EMC testing, and a wood workshop. The centre will provide specialized labs and testing facilities for electronics-based production units including semiconductors, microelectronics, LED lamps, solar charge controllers, electric vehicle (EV) solutions, automation solutions, and SCADA panels.

The CFC will serve as a crucial resource hub for electronics manufacturers in the region. For example, a small LED light manufacturing unit can use the CFC’s testing lab to check the quality and safety standards of its products. Similarly, a startup designing a solar charge controller will be able to validate its designs using the centre’s prototyping facility before moving to mass production. An electric vehicle (EV) component manufacturer can also test the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of its products to ensure all systems function smoothly. Additionally, the 3D printing facility will help companies create custom jigs or enclosures, while the PCB prototyping service will support the rapid development and testing of circuit boards, thereby accelerating production timelines.

To encourage investment in the electronics sector, the Chhattisgarh government is already running several attractive schemes. The establishment of this Common Facility Centre, coupled with incentives under the state’s industrial policy, will further accelerate both local and external investments in the sector.

Managed by the Naya Raipur Atal Nagar Vikas Pradhikaran (NRANVP), this project will promote electronics manufacturing and investment in the state. It is expected to give a strong push to the regional economy and create new employment opportunities for the youth.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai described this project as a historic achievement in the direction of a technological revolution. He said that this initiative would make the state self-reliant and technologically advanced. “This will not only boost innovation and startups but also provide world-class testing and prototyping facilities to industries, positioning Chhattisgarh as a powerhouse in electronics manufacturing,” he said.

Housing and Environment Minister OP Choudhary stated on this occasion that projects like the Common Facility Centre would strengthen Chhattisgarh’s technological infrastructure. “Local startups, youth, and entrepreneurs will gain access to cutting-edge resources that were earlier limited to bigger cities. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, this initiative will place Chhattisgarh at the forefront of the digital and electronics sector,” he said.

Chief Minister reviews functioning of Forest and Climate Change Department

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has issued firm directions to ensure that compensation for incidents involving human, livestock, and crop losses due to wild animal attacks be provided promptly, in accordance with the rules, and with utmost sensitivity. He noted that residents in forested regions often suffer the pain of losing loved ones in such tragic incidents and stressed that their grievances must be addressed swiftly with a humane approach.

CM Sai was speaking during the review meeting of the Forest and Climate Change Department held at Mahanadi Bhawan, Nava Raipur. He remarked that elephant-human conflict and other incidents involving violent wild animals causing loss of life, livestock, and crops have become significant challenges in the forest regions of the state. In such situations, it is the government's responsibility to ensure that the affected families receive timely and just assistance. He instructed that all related cases be resolved promptly and as per regulations.

Highlighting the economic and emotional impact of these events, the Chief Minister pointed out that wild elephants not only damage staple crops like paddy but also cause massive destruction to cash crops such as sugarcane, banana, papaya, and jackfruit. This results in a dual burden—financial and psychological—on the farmers. During the meeting, CM Sai also reviewed the current status of individual forest rights titles granted in the state.

Forest and Climate Change Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, addressing officials during the meeting, directed that departmental coordination be further strengthened to ensure timely delivery of compensation to affected individuals. A proposal for revising and increasing compensation rates for loss of life, permanent disability, livestock damage, housing loss, and crop damage was also tabled during the session.

The meeting also included a discussion on the assistance provided under RBC provisions for crop loss caused by natural disasters.

From Skills to Self-Reliance: CM Vishnu Deo Sai Stresses on Employment-Oriented Training for Youth

"Link skill training directly to employment and entrepreneurship," directs CM Sai during departmental review

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, while chairing a review meeting of the Skill Development Department at Mahanadi Bhawan, Nava Raipur, directed that skill training programs must be directly connected to employment and self-employment opportunities. He emphasized that the objective of the government is not merely to conduct trainings but to make the youth self-reliant and capable. To achieve this, continuous innovation and effective action plans by the department are crucial, he said.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister reviewed the progress of departmental schemes and discussed in detail the district-wise training achievements and allocated budget for the year 2025–26. He also sought detailed updates on the Mukhyamantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 4.0, and Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana.

Chief Minister Shri Sai took a special review of the training being imparted to surrendered Maoists under the ‘Niyad Nellanar’ scheme. It was informed in the meeting that so far, 549 youth have been trained, while 382 trainees are currently undergoing training at rehabilitation centres. Similarly, the training of youth belonging to Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) under the PM Janman Yojana was also reviewed.

Highlighting a recent reform, it was informed that from July 1, 2025, trainee attendance under the Mukhyamantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana is being recorded using a face-based scanning system, which has brought about increased transparency and better monitoring.

The department also shared updates on MoUs signed with private institutions. Notably, partnerships with Nandi Foundation and Mahindra & Mahindra have been established to provide quality training to youth across the state.

A roadmap for the upcoming ‘Kaushal Tihar 2025’ was also presented. The event aims to raise awareness among youth about skill development. It will be held in two phases – district and state level – with competitions in two age groups: under 22 years and above 22 years. The competition will include 10 core trades: Automobile Technology, Bricklaying, Renewable Energy, Health and Social Care, Plumbing and Heating, Electrical Installations, Electronics Field Technician, Computer, Mobile Phone Technician, Graphic Design Technology/Desktop Publishing, and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.

At the district level, two winners from each trade and age group will be selected to compete in the state-level competition. Winners at the state level will receive awards, trophies, and employment opportunities. They will also be groomed for India Skills 2025 regional and national competitions. Finalists from there will get the chance to represent India at the prestigious World Skills 2026 in Shanghai, China.

CM Sai emphasized that skill development schemes must be deeply integrated with the livelihood, self-reliance, and future building of the youth. He directed officials to continue making focused efforts in this direction.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai met Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today at the Parliament House in New Delhi. During the meeting, CM Sai extended a formal invitation to PM Modi to attend the Amrit Rajat Mahotsav as the Chief Guest, scheduled to be held on November 1, 2025, in Raipur. He also apprised the Prime Minister of the state government’s key development priorities, upcoming schemes, and citizen-centric welfare initiatives.

Marking 25 years since the formation of the state, Chhattisgarh is celebrating the milestone as its Amrit Rajat Jayanti Year. CM Sai emphasized that this event holds historical significance for the state, and the presence of the Prime Minister would further elevate its importance.

CM Sai noted that under the leadership and guidance of PM Narendra Modi, Chhattisgarh is progressing rapidly on the path of development. Highlighting industrial growth, CM Sai briefed the Prime Minister about the encouraging progress in investment and employment generation in the state. He said that the New Industrial Policy 2024–30, implemented in 2024, has significantly boosted investor interest. A Single Window System has been introduced to streamline industrial setup, making processes simpler and more transparent. Industries providing employment to over 1,000 people are being offered special incentives.

CM Sai further informed that between November 2024 and July 2025, the state received investment proposals worth ₹6.65 lakh crore from 84 companies. He noted that India’s first Semiconductor Unit has been launched in Nava Raipur, and construction of an AI Data Center is also underway. Moreover, sectors like textiles, pharmaceuticals, ready-made garments, and IT services are being prioritized to position Chhattisgarh as a technological and industrial hub.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai met Union Jal Shakti Minister Shri C.R. Patil in New Delhi today and held a courtesy meeting. During the discussion, the two leaders focused on key water infrastructure projects of the state, especially the much-anticipated Bodhghat multipurpose project in the Bastar region.

CM Shri Sai informed Union Minister Shri Patil that the Bodhghat project is of critical importance for irrigation, drinking water supply, and power generation in Bastar.

He highlighted that Bastar has remained on the margins of mainstream development for decades, and the topmost priority of the present state government is to liberate the region from the grip of Left-Wing Extremism (LWE) and empower it economically and socially. The proposed Bodhghat multipurpose project, he said, will enable irrigation of nearly 8 lakh hectares of land and generate 125 megawatts of electricity.

During the meeting, CM Shri Sai further emphasized that the influence of Maoism has significantly reduced in Bastar, and a favorable environment for development is emerging. He stressed that large-scale projects like Bodhghat can play a vital role in transforming the region into a financially robust and socially empowered zone. Raipur : In a significant step towards boosting sports and healthcare education in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai met Union Minister of Labour & Employment, Youth Affairs and Sports Shri Mansukh Mandaviya in New Delhi today.

During the meeting, it was agreed that the Bastar Olympics will now be organised as “Khelo India Tribal Games” starting this year. This move is expected to not only bring national-level recognition to the talents of tribal youth but also place Chhattisgarh’s rich traditional sports culture on the global map.

CM Sai also proposed the establishment of 220-bed medical and nursing colleges in Raipur and Bilaspur, aimed at enhancing the quality of health education and expanding access to better medical facilities across the state. During the meeting, the two leaders engaged in an in-depth discussion on the construction of national highways, the progress of various road projects in Chhattisgarh, and future infrastructure initiatives.

Chief Minister Shri Sai informed Shri Gadkari of the latest status of key road projects currently underway in the state and affirmed the Chhattisgarh government’s commitment to completing construction work within given timelines. He emphasised that efforts are being intensified to connect remote and tribal-dominated regions with major road networks, with the aim of providing better connectivity and economic opportunities to the residents of these areas.

The discussion also highlighted the critical need to strengthen the road network in industrial zones and recently formed districts to facilitate holistic development across the state. Chief Minister Shri Sai emphasized that roads are not merely a means of transportation, but serve as a foundation for employment generation, for attracting investment, and for boosting socio-economic transformation.

Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari appreciated the priorities and vision of the Chhattisgarh government and assured that the Central Government will continue to extend every possible support to the state. He said that enhanced road access to tribal regions will not only accelerate development but also bring about long-lasting and positive changes in those areas.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Shri Sai also briefed Shri Gadkari on the state’s long-term strategy under the “Chhattisgarh Anjor Vision 2047”, which envisions the development of an integrated and environment-friendly transport system. MoU signed between Capacity Building Commission and Chhattisgarh Government

Raipur : In a significant step towards governance transformation, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today between the Capacity Building Commission of the Government of India and the Government of Chhattisgarh under the ambitious “Mission Karmayogi” initiative. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai at a private hotel in Nava Raipur.

Representing the Chhattisgarh Government, Additional Chief Secretary and Director General of the Chhattisgarh Academy of Administration, Shri Subrat Sahoo, signed the MoU, while Member Secretary Smt. V. Lalitha Lakshmi signed on behalf of the Capacity Building Commission.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated that Mission Karmayogi is a visionary initiative that embodies the dreams of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Through this mission, the spirit of “Karmayogi” will be instilled among all government officers and employees, empowering them to contribute meaningfully to nation-building.

The Chief Minister informed that under Mission Karmayogi, continuous training will be provided to nearly four lakh government servants in Chhattisgarh, and the process has already begun. So far, approximately 50,000 officers and employees have successfully completed the training.

Highlighting the importance of skill development in the evolving global and national landscape, the Chief Minister emphasized that upskilling is no longer optional, but a necessity. He remarked that Mission Karmayogi will play a crucial role in promoting a culture of excellence in governance and administration. The MoU, he said, will become a milestone in taking the good governance agenda of Chhattisgarh to new heights.

He also noted that this collaboration would help in introducing innovative training methods tailored to the state’s specific needs. The state government, he assured, is fully committed to implementing Mission Karmayogi with utmost dedication and ensuring its benefits reach every level of the administrative machinery.

The government is continuously working towards strengthening systems through innovation and new initiatives at both governance and administrative levels to provide better services to citizens, he added. This effort, according to the Chief Minister, will make public servants more responsive and sensitive to the needs of the people and will also aid in effective implementation of citizen-centric policies and services.

Shri Sai concluded by expressing confidence that with the support of skilled and motivated public servants, the collective dream of a developed Chhattisgarh can be realized.

CM Inaugurates Medisure Hospital in Raipur

Raipur : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated the newly constructed Medisure Hospital located in Sector-11A, Kamal Vihar, Raipur today. On the occasion, he stated that the state government is consistently working towards strengthening healthcare infrastructure to ensure quality medical services are accessible to the general public.

CM Sai extended his best wishes to the hospital management and said that Medisure Hospital, equipped with modern healthcare facilities, is a major gift for the people of Chhattisgarh. He particularly highlighted the availability of bone marrow transplant services at the hospital, calling it a significant achievement for the state that will offer critical relief to patients suffering from serious illnesses.

On the occasion, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Dr. Raman Singh remarked that Chhattisgarh has made notable progress in the health sector by overcoming major challenges such as high infant mortality, maternal mortality, and malnutrition. Executive committee meeting of Chhattisgarh Olympic Association held in Raipur

Raipur : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai attended the executive committee meeting of the Chhattisgarh Olympic Association held at Sardar Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium in Raipur today. On this occasion, the annual budget for the year 2025–26 was approved. The Chief Minister also formally inaugurated the new office chamber of the Association President located within the stadium premises.

CM Sai reiterated that the state government is fully committed to the promotion of sports. He stated that the government has revived the long-pending sports felicitation ceremonies to encourage athletes across the state. He further informed that the selection process for outstanding athletes would soon be completed. The Chief Minister assured that the suggestions provided by Association members would be taken seriously, and necessary actions would be initiated.

Highlighting the state’s focus on sports development, CM Sai said that large-scale initiatives are underway to uplift sports infrastructure and talent. He announced that Olympic gold medalists from the state would be awarded ₹3 crore, silver medalists ₹2 crore, and bronze medalists ₹1 crore as prize money. In addition, he emphasized that athletes who merely participate in the Olympic Games would also be eligible for incentive rewards, for which appropriate measures would be undertaken.

The Chief Minister shared that he himself is the President of the Chhattisgarh Archery Association and has had a deep passion for archery since childhood. He said that with the support of NTPC, an archery academy is being established in Jashpur, which will greatly benefit local athletes. He also noted that Chhattisgarh is an industry-rich and mineral-abundant state, and that the government aims to leverage CSR funds to develop sports infrastructure across the state.

Addressing the gathering, Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare Shri TankRam Verma said that under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Sai, the sports felicitation ceremonies that were discontinued for years have been revived. He informed that the list of outstanding athletes will be announced soon. Shri Verma added that Chhattisgarh has no shortage of sporting talent — what is needed is proper training and opportunities.

He further informed that under the leadership of CM Sai, the government has also announced the Chhattisgarh Yuva Ratna Puraskar, a youth award scheme that will honor exceptional performance in fields such as sports, arts, music, literature, industry, and business. He also highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the ‘Khelo India’ scheme is actively promoting sports in every district of the country. Referring to the Bastar Olympics, he stated that Prime Minister Modi appreciated the initiative in his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ address.

On this occasion, MP and Vice President of the Olympic Association, Shri Vijay Baghel, also addressed the meeting and lauded the efforts made by the state government in expanding the sports ecosystem. He apprised the Chief Minister of the needs and expectations of the Chhattisgarh Olympic Association, emphasizing the importance of organizational strength and availability of resources.

During the meeting, General Secretary of the Chhattisgarh Olympic Association, Shri Vikram Singh Sisodia, presented the annual report for the year 2024–25 and expressed gratitude to the state government for its consistent support. He said that the government’s decisions and assistance toward sports development are creating a positive sporting environment in the state. Several Association office-bearers were present on the occasion.

37 Road Projects Underway in Chhattisgarh Worth Rs 18,215 Crore

Rs 5353 crore approved for upgradation of national highways

Raipur–Visakhapatnam and Raipur–Dhanbad Economic Corridors Taking Shape

Raipur : Chhattisgarh is witnessing a rapid transformation in road infrastructure, with major projects underway to boost connectivity, especially in remote and backward regions. On the initiative of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, work has begun on strengthening the state’s road network, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India).

Two major economic corridors—Raipur–Visakhapatnam and Raipur–Dhanbad—are being developed, alongside plans for a new industrial corridor aimed at accelerating industrial activity across the state.

Currently, 37 highway projects worth Rs 18,215 crore are in progress. In addition, 11 Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) are being prepared for 1,131 km of new National Highways at an estimated cost of Rs 24,693 crore.

The Centre has also greenlit 18 new projects worth Rs 5,353 crore for highway upgradation, expected to significantly boost regional development. Between 2014 and 2025, nearly 840 km of single/intermediate-lane highways have been widened to double lanes or more, with Rs 21,380 crore already spent on National Highway development during this period.

Beyond national highways, the Government of India has approved 70 state road projects worth Rs 3,826 crore under CRIF, Central Road Fund, and other schemes between 2014 and 2025. Key regions including Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg, Bastar, and Surguja are seeing major upgrades. To ease traffic congestion in urban areas, a 92-km six-lane Raipur–Durg bypass is being built in two phases, at a cost of Rs 2,289 crore.

Economic Corridors to Open Global Market Access, Boost Jobs

Two major economic corridors are under development in Chhattisgarh. The first Raipur–Visakhapatnam Economic Corridor, a 124-km six-lane expressway, is being built to connect the state to Visakhapatnam Port, enabling global market access for Chhattisgarh’s products. The project has been sanctioned at Rs 4,146 crore, with construction already underway.

Secondly, strengthen industrial connectivity with Jharkhand’s key hubs—Ranchi and Dhanbad—a 157-km four-lane Bilaspur–Urga–Pathalgaon road is also being developed at a cost of Rs 4,007 crore. These corridors are expected to significantly accelerate logistics, industrial growth, and job creation in the region.

LWE and Janman Yojana

In a major boost to infrastructure and anti-Naxal efforts, the Government of India has spent Rs 2,625 crore on key road projects in Left Wing Extremism (LWE)-affected areas of Chhattisgarh between 2014 and 2025, aiming to curb Naxalism through improved connectivity.

Under the PM-Janman Yojana, focused on the development of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), Chhattisgarh has received approval for 715 roads covering 2,449 km,

with a total sanction of Rs 1,699 crore. These roads will benefit 775 tribal settlements, giving the state a 51% share of the total 4,831 km sanctioned nationally — the highest in the country.

To promote industrial activity along national highways, the Korba–Bilaspur Industrial Corridor has been approved. Projects under this corridor—including the Urga–Katghora bypass, Basna–Sarangarh feeder, Sarangarh–Raigarh feeder, and the Raipur–Lakhanadon Economic Corridor—cover a total length of 236.1 km, with a total investment of Rs 9,208 crore.

Additionally, the state has received Rs 908 crore from the Central Road Fund for further road development, reinforcing its push toward becoming a major industrial and logistics hub.
