There is no age to learn, continuous improvement in leadership skills is necessary

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi always talks about learning in his Mann Ki Baat program and certainly there is no age to learn. There are many MLAs present here, who have long experience as public representatives, but they are also very excited about this program. Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that this Public Leadership Program is a strong platform for sharing new solutions and it will prove useful and meaningful in achieving the goal of developed Chhattisgarh 2047. Chief Minister Mr. Sai shared information about the efforts being made by the Chhattisgarh government to establish the concept of good governance. He said that the system of e-office has increased administrative efficiency as well as transparency. The Chief Minister said that if we have to take the state forward, then we have to be equally prepared to deal with all kinds of challenges. He laid special emphasis on the good use of technology in public interest.

Chief Minister Shri Sai also described the Chintan Shivir organized last year at the Indian Institute of Management as extremely useful. He said that whatever we had learned in the Chintan Shivir, we have used it to the fullest in the policy making of Chhattisgarh. It also helped us a lot in preparing the vision document as well as the budget. The Chief Minister asked all the members of the Legislative Assembly to take full advantage of the two-day session and wished the Institute of Management a successful event.

While addressing the Leadership Program, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that all the members were actively involved in the budget session of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly for about 1 month and immediately after that, your presence in this two-day event is commendable. He said that you people must be thinking that why our training after winning? After winning, our responsibility and role increases, so we should keep learning continuously. He said that we have to work not only for our area but also for the betterment of Chhattisgarh.

Dr. Singh said that how aware we are about the environment around us and the national and international scenario, this fact will be important in making you successful as a public representative. He said that you should have the smallest information about your constituency. Leader of Opposition Dr. Charandas Manhat said that it would be a wrong notion to think that we became leaders as soon as we became MLAs. Becoming a leader is a process and we have to learn it. Big companies like Adani power, Jindal and NTPC to invest in thermal and nuclear power

New Delhi : Chhattisgarh has attracted investments worth Rs3,01,086 crore through various industrial proposals in the energy sector at the ‘Chhattisgarh Energy Investors Summit 2025’. These investment proposals have been made under different schemes of the state government, aiming to boost the state's energy infrastructure. This includes investments in nuclear, thermal, solar, and pumped storage power generation projects, which will not only benefit industries but also provide the common people with affordable and uninterrupted electricity.

“This investment in the energy sector in Chhattisgarh will elevate the state's power generation capacity to new levels and lay the foundation for a sustainable, green future by promoting renewable energy. The goal is for Chhattisgarh to not only become self-sufficient in energy but also establish itself as an energy hub for the entire country,” Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said.

The proposed investment in the thermal power sector is worth a total of Rs107,840 Crore consisting both private investors and public sector undertakings (PSUs). Private investors are set to contribute Rs66,720 Crore, with Adani Power leading the way with investments in several projects, including Rs18,000 Crore for the Korba 1600MW plant, Rs15,000 Crore for the Raigarh 1600MW plant, Rs15,000 Crore for the Raipur 1600MW plant, and Rs620 Crore for a Korba 1320MW plant.

Jindal Power is set to invest Rs12,800 Crore in a 1600MW plant in Raigarh, while Sarda is contributing Rs5,300 Crore for a 660MW plant in Raigarh.

On the other hand, PSUs are proposing a total investment of Rs41,120 Crore, with NTPC committing Rs15,530 Crore for the Lara 1600MW project in Raigarh and Rs9,790 Crore for the Sipat 800MW plant in Bilaspur. CSPGCL is also investing Rs15,800 Crore in the Korba 1320MW project. This collective investment demonstrates a strong push to expand and upgrade thermal power generation capacity in the region.

NTPC has planned to set up a 4200 MW nuclear power project at an investment of Rs80,000 crore, marking the beginning of nuclear power generation in the state.

Chhattisgarh has also achieved significant success in the field of solar energy. Jindal Power and NTPC Green together will produce 2500 MW of solar power by investing Rs10,000 crore. This includes 500 MW solar plants in Doleshra and 2000 MW in Raigarh.

In addition, there is good news for farmers. Under the PM Kusum Yojana, 675 MW of solar power will be generated at a cost of Rs4100 crore, and 20,000 solar pumps will be installed. This will provide affordable electricity to farmers for irrigation, reducing their reliance on diesel pumps.

Pumped storage projects with a total capacity of 8700 MW will also be developed at an investment of Rs57,046 crore. These projects include 1800 MW at SJN Kotpali and 3000 MW by Jindal Renewable.

An investment of Rs57,046 crore is being directed towards pumped storage projects, which will greatly enhance the state’s hydropower capacity. Major companies are participating in this initiative, with plans to develop several large-scale projects. These include an 1800 MW hydropower project in Kotpali, a 1400 MW hydropower scheme in Dangri, and a 3000 MW hydropower project by Jindal Renewable Company.

Chhattisgarh is investing heavily in its energy infrastructure, with Rs3,200 crore allocated for CREDA Solar Initiatives and Rs 6,000 crore for the PM Surya Scheme to expand solar energy. The state will also invest Rs 2,500 crore in government building solar projects, Rs 2,600 crore in Battery Energy Storage Systems, and Rs17,000 crore to upgrade power transmission. Rs10,800 crore will be invested under the RDSS to improve power distribution efficiency. These efforts will strengthen the state's energy capabilities and reliability.

With all these investments, Chhattisgarh is set to become one of the largest energy-producing states in the country. This will benefit industries, farmers, and the general public, while also boosting the state’s economy.

Chief Minister Directs Officials to Ensure High-Quality and Timely Completion of MGNREGA Projects

Emphasis on Integrating MGNREGA with Other Schemes to Accelerate Rural Development

Raipur : A meeting of the Chhattisgarh Rural Employment Guarantee Council was held today at the Chief Minister's Office in Vidhansabha Campus, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. The meeting reviewed ongoing projects under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA). Chief Minister Shri Sai directed officials to ensure the highest quality and timely execution of MGNREGA projects to maximize benefits for rural families.

He particularly emphasized prioritizing Dharasa approach road construction and the Amrit Sarovar Project to strengthen rural infrastructure and promote water conservation.

Chief Minister Sai stated that the Chhattisgarh government’s objective is not just to provide employment but to make rural areas self-reliant. MGNREGA projects are being implemented with a long-term vision to ensure holistic rural development. He stressed the importance of transparency and accountability in the implementation process so that the scheme serves as a strong foundation for empowering the poor. He also highlighted the state government's focus on integrating MGNREGA with other development schemes to accelerate the pace of rural progress.

In-Depth Discussion on Effective Implementation of MGNREGA in the State

The meeting included a comprehensive review of the financial progress for FY 2023-24 and 2024-25, the labour budget for 2025-26, key performance indicators of the scheme, and the convergence model for better implementation. The annual progress report from 2019-20 to 2023-24 was also presented.

MGNREGA Commissioner Shri Rajat Bansal informed that out of 38.52 lakh registered families in the state, 24.89 lakh families have been provided employment. Under the Amrit Sarovar Scheme, a target has been set to construct 2,902 reservoirs, out of which 1,095 have been approved, 299 have been completed, and work is in progress on 472 sites.

Over 50,000 Devotees Benefited from CM Sai’s Vision, Staying at the Chhattisgarh Pavilion in the Maha Kumbh Nagar

Raipur : The Maha Kumbh 2025 is being held in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. I urge the people of Chhattisgarh to participate in this sacred event. You need not worry about accommodation or meals—our government has established the Chhattisgarh Pavilion over 4.5 acres in Sector 6 of the Kumbh Mela area, providing free lodging and food for all devotees."

With these words, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai had earlier invited the people of Chhattisgarh to experience the spiritual grandeur of Maha Kumbh 2025. Understanding the aspirations of his people, CM Sai collaborated with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath to secure a dedicated space for Chhattisgarh devotees, ensuring they could participate in the world’s largest spiritual congregation without any worries.

As a result, for 45 days, the Chhattisgarh Pavilion served as a home for over 50,000 devotees, enabling them to take a holy dip in the Sangam and immerse themselves in the Kumbh’s spiritual energy. As the Maha Kumbh 2025 came to a grand conclusion, it left behind unforgettable memories for Chhattisgarh’s devotees, a legacy made possible by CM Vishnu Deo Sai’s visionary leadership.

Chhattisgarh Pavilion: A Cultural and Spiritual Marvel at the Maha Kumbh

The Chhattisgarh Pavilion in Sector 6 of the Kumbh Mela wasn’t just a welcoming abode for devotees from the state—it became a major attraction for pilgrims and tourists from across India and the world. The exhibitions and cultural displays drew large crowds daily, offering visitors a glimpse into Chhattisgarh’s rich heritage, traditions, and spirituality.

Unlike other state pavilions that closed by 8 PM, the Chhattisgarh Pavilion remained lively until 10 PM, hosting vibrant cultural performances that enthralled audiences from all over India. Chhattisgarh’s folk artists captivated the Maha Kumbh with their performances, drawing admiration beyond linguistic and cultural boundaries.

The entrance to the pavilion was adorned with the iconic ‘Gaur Mukut’ of Bastar, an architectural masterpiece that instantly attracted visitors. Inside, the statue of Chhattisgarh Mahtari (Mother Chhattisgarh) stood as a symbol of maternal warmth and cultural pride. Devotees bowed in reverence before the images of the four revered deities of the state—Maa Mahamaya, Maa Danteshwari, Maa Bamleshwari, and Maa Chandrahasini.

The exhibition area featured an impressive display of Chhattisgarh’s history and progress, leaving visitors mesmerized by the state’s wonders, including the ancient Buddhist site of Sirpur, the towering Jaitkham, taller than Qutub Minar, the breathtaking Chitrakote Waterfall, known as Niagara of India, and The modern city of Naya Raipur

Technology-Driven Tourism Promotion

To enhance visitor engagement, advanced technology was seamlessly integrated into the exhibition. A 360-degree immersive dome, offering a breathtaking virtual tour of Chhattisgarh, saw long queues of eager visitors. Virtual Reality (VR) experiences, allowed attendees to explore Chhattisgarh in an interactive manner.

The exhibition also showcased Chhattisgarh’s rural lifestyle, folk art, jewelry, cuisine, dance, and wildlife, making it a major talking point in both regional and national media.

A Pavilion That Stood for Unity, Inclusivity, and Hospitality

As Maha Kumbh 2025 came to a historic conclusion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed it as the ‘Kumbh of Unity’—and the Chhattisgarh Pavilion embodied this spirit. It offered free meals to all, regardless of caste, creed, or nationality, welcoming even international visitors, who left with a deep sense of admiration for Chhattisgarh’s hospitality and culture.

Following the event, CM Vishnu Deo Sai personally congratulated Uttar Pradesh CM Shri Yogi Adityanath for the successful hosting of Maha Kumbh 2025 and thanked him for allocating 4.5 acres for the Chhattisgarh Pavilion.

Through his visionary leadership and tireless dedication, CM Vishnu Deo Sai enabled 50,000 Chhattisgarh devotees to be part of Maha Kumbh 2025, thereby connecting the state’s 3 crore citizens to this grand spiritual celebration.

Chhattisgarh’s saints, scholars, and devotees participated in the sacred dip at the Sangam and various spiritual rituals, strengthening the state’s cultural and religious presence on the national stage.

This initiative has not only established Chhattisgarh as a prominent spiritual hub but has also positioned it on the global stage as a land of deep cultural and religious significance.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the decision to make the film Chhava tax free has been taken with the aim of connecting the people of Chhattisgarh with the glorious history of the country and awakening the spirit of patriotism and bravery in the young generation. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that 'Chhava' is not just a film, but a saga of historical traditions, bravery and self-respect, which every citizen should watch. He said that this film will inspire the youth and will widely present the bravery, sacrifice and leadership of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today graced the closing ceremony of the Late Dilip Singh Judeo Memorial All India Gold Cup Football Tournament in Jashpur. The high-profile tournament, which saw participation from elite teams across 16 states, was held at Ranjita Stadium from 8th to 23rd February 2025.

Addressing a packed stadium, CM Sai reaffirmed his government’s commitment to transforming Chhattisgarh into a powerhouse of sports. He said that cash incentives of ₹3 crore for Olympic gold medalists, ₹2 crore for silver medalists, and ₹1 crore for bronze medalists has been declared, emphasizing the state’s dedication to fostering world-class talent.

As a historic boost for sports infrastructure, CM Sai announced the complete renovation of Ranjita Stadium, ensuring it meets international standards to host major national and international events. He underlined that Chhattisgarh is steadily rising as a dominant force in Indian sports, thanks to increasing participation and government initiatives.

The final match witnessed an electrifying showdown between Railway Nagpur and MEG Bengaluru, drawing thousands of spectators from Jashpur and beyond. CM Sai, along with distinguished guests, enjoyed the thrilling encounter and personally congratulated the victorious team.

Announcement of sanctioning Rs. 10 lakh for Balika Griha

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai reached the Government Balika Griha located at Khamhardih in the capital Raipur and celebrated his birthday with simplicity with little smiles. Chief Minister Shri Sai shared his special day with these little smiles and gave the message that participating in the happiness of every section of the society is the identity of true leadership.

Chief Minister Shri Sai cut the cake with the girls in the Balika Griha, spent time with them and listened to their innocent laughter and talks with affection. During this, the girls expressed their small wishes in front of him, which also included the demand for a sound box. The Chief Minister immediately fulfilled it and presented this gift to the Balika Griha. Apart from this, he announced to provide Rs. 10 lakh for computers, water coolers and other arrangements in the Balika Griha, so that there is no inconvenience in the education of the girls living here.

Chief Minister Shri Sai shared memories of his school life on this occasion. He told that the primary school in his village was of thatched roofs, and water used to drip during rainy days. He told the girls that they are lucky that they have got a better hostel and a good environment for studies. He inspired the girls to study with dedication and hard work and explained that education is the key to success. Giving examples of the life struggles of great personalities of the country and the world, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that instead of being afraid of struggles, they should make them their strength. He assured the girls that the state government will provide all possible help for their bright future.

It is worth mentioning that at present 57 girls are living in the Balika Griha, where the Women and Child Development Department is providing them free accommodation, food, education and medical facilities. On this occasion, MLA Shri Purandar Mishra, Secretary of Women and Child Development Department Smt. Shammi Abidi, Raipur Collector Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh and other officials were present.
