Raipur : A delegation of the Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Pariwar paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai recently at the Chief Minister’s residential office in the capital, Raipur. The delegation invited the Chief Minister to attend the 108-Kundi Gayatri Mahayagya, scheduled to be held from December 10 to December 13 in Bagicha Nagar Panchayat of Jashpur district.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai visited the Aghor Gurupith located in Banora village of Raigarh district on December 5. He offered prayers before the idol of Aghoreshwar Avadhoot Bhagwan Ram Ji, seeking peace, prosperity, and well-being for the people of the state. The Chief Minister performed traditional worship at the Gurupith and invoked blessings for Chhattisgarh’s peace, welfare, and overall progress.

The Chief Minister received blessings from Priyadarshi Bhagwan Ram Ji, the revered disciple of Aghoreshwar Avadhoot Ji, and said that his affection, guidance, and spiritual presence always bring energy, inspiration, and positivity. Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated that the complete eradication of Naxalism is now visibly taking shape, which is the biggest obstacle to Chhattisgarh’s development. He described this achievement as the collective outcome of the strong leadership of the double-engine government, the clear strategy of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, and the courage, valour and unwavering resolve of India’s security forces.

The Chief Minister stated that “Naxalism is now in its ending phase,” calling it a historic milestone for the state. He reiterated that the firm commitment of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah is to completely eliminate Naxalism across the country by 31 March 2026, and this pledge is now becoming a reality on the ground.

Shri Sai stated that with the decline of Naxal violence, a strong foundation of peace and stability is being established across Chhattisgarh, particularly in Bastar. Regions that were deprived of development for decades are now witnessing rapid progress in roads, education, healthcare, communication, tourism and livelihood opportunities. He remarked that “Bastar is now on the path of transformation, and in the coming years, a true wave of development will flow there.”

Expressing confidence, the Chief Minister said that the combined strength of the state government’s commitment, the Centre’s guidance, and the bravery of security forces will ensure not just a Naxal-free Chhattisgarh, but also position the state as one of India’s most progressive and rapidly developing regions. Raipur : The sixth convocation of Atal Bihari Vajpayee University was held on Thursday in Raipur with full ceremonial grandeur, marking the conferral of degrees to nearly 37,000 students and the awarding of 92 gold medals. Former President Shri Ram Nath Kovind graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The program was presided over by Governor Shri Ramen Deka and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended as Special Guest of Honour. While Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao, and Higher Education Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma were distinguished guests marking their presence encouraging student’s efforts. During the ceremony, 64 research scholars received doctoral degrees, 92 gold medals were awarded and 36,950 undergraduate and postgraduate degrees were conferred to students.

Addressing the convocation, Former President Shri Ram Nath Kovind extended warm wishes to the graduating students for their bright future and urged them to contribute actively to nation-building. Applauding the energy and confidence of the youth, he said that India today stands among the world’s fastest-growing economies, and the young generation is both witness to and participant in this historic transformation. He emphasized that graduation is not the culmination of education, but that in the 21st century, continuous learning, skill refinement, and self-development are indispensable for success.

He noted that girls are increasingly outperforming boys in higher education across the country, and that the significant number of female gold medallists in this university is a matter of pride. Congratulating all awardees, he said their achievement is not solely their own effort, but the result of their parents’ sacrifice, family support, and the invaluable guidance of teachers. Calling it a golden moment they will cherish forever, he encouraged students not to fear falling behind, remarking, “Never think you are left behind. If you never stop trying, you can always be first.” He urged them to work diligently to fulfil their dreams while staying rooted in Indian culture, values, and heritage, and to embrace traditional knowledge systems such as yoga and science.

Governor Shri Ramen Deka, in his address, said that life presents many challenges, and though one may stumble at times, the greatest strength lies in the ability to rise again. He encouraged students not to fear setbacks and to cultivate the courage to stand up every time they fall. Stressing that discipline forms the bedrock of success, he described life as a beautiful journey that must be lived purposefully, positively, and meaningfully. Highlighting the increasing challenge of stress in modern life, he underscored the importance of mental well-being and advised making yoga, meditation, and regular physical activity integral parts of daily life. He urged students to choose careers that minimize stress, uphold transparency, and enable positive change for themselves and for society.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that success is not defined by a degree alone, but by the constant desire to learn. In a rapidly changing world, he added, it is the youth who remain connected to their cultural roots while embracing technology, innovation, and hard work who will shape the India of tomorrow. Opportunities do not always appear on their own, he said—often, they must be created. Discipline, perseverance, and a positive outlook, he noted, transform ordinary moments into extraordinary achievements. Expressing confidence in the new generation, he said it will lead Chhattisgarh and the nation to greater heights.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said the convocation is not merely a formal ceremony but a celebration of the dreams, determination, and efforts of students. He appreciated the university’s implementation of the National Education Policy 2020, including multidisciplinary learning, skill-based education, the four-year undergraduate programme, the Academic Bank of Credit, and modernized curricula that prepare students for global opportunities.

He noted that digitalization has enabled the university to provide online services such as admission, examination forms, transcripts, and degree certificates, ensuring simple, transparent, and prompt services for students. He added that financial assistance under the PM–Usha scheme will significantly aid the development of new laboratories, smart classrooms, a digital library, and modern academic infrastructure, thereby strengthening quality and innovation in higher education.

Chief Minister emphasized that universities should promote high-quality research aligned with the needs of the state, particularly in areas such as agricultural sciences, environmental protection, social systems, language and literature, and technological innovation. The convocation, he said, provided students, parents, and teachers with a collective celebration of knowledge, discipline, and inspiration, reaffirming the university’s commitment to excellence and innovation.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao highlighted the remarkable progress achieved by the state, including in the education sector, under the vision of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Higher Education Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma described the convocation as a tribute to students’ hard work and dedication, noting that the Academic Bank of Credit is being effectively implemented and that development projects worth Rs 20 crore have been sanctioned to strengthen academic infrastructure. The dignitaries also released the university’s quarterly magazine Kanhar. The welcome address was delivered by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Arun Diwakar Nath Vajpayee.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for development works worth Rs 195.26 crore at a programme held in Suhela village of Balodabazar-Bhatapara district.

During the event, he handed over keys to a total 1,073 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Gramin, distributed gas connections to around 3,000 women under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, issued property records to 5,000 farmers under the PM Swamitva Scheme, and provided various materials and cheques to beneficiaries of other government schemes.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision is to ensure that every household has a ‘pucca’ house, sanitation facility,clean drinking water, and the benefit of the PM Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme. He emphasised that the state government is working with full commitment to realise this vision. Highlighting that Chhattisgarh is celebrating the silver jubilee of its statehood, he asserted that every guarantee announced by Prime Minister Shri Modi before the formation of the government is being fulfilled one by one.

Chief Minister noted that the state is procuring paddy at Rs 3,100 per quintal—up to 21 quintals per acre. The collection rate for Tendu leaves has been increased to Rs 5,500 per standard bag, and farmers have already received the pending bonus for two years. A large number of women are benefiting from the Mahtari Vandan Yojana and the Ujjwala Scheme. He said households will receive free electricity under the PM Suryaghar Scheme, urging people to install solar panels to make the most of the substantial subsidies provided.

Praising the district administration’s “Hum Honge Kamyab” initiative, the Chief Minister said that the programme, which provides youth with skill training aligned with their interests, has already benefited more than 500 young people.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao and Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal also addressed the gathering, stating that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Sai, Chhattisgarh is achieving rapid and transformative development. Revenue Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma informed that road works worth more than Rs 100 crore have been sanctioned in the Balodabazar-Bhatapara district alone.

During the programme, the Chief Minister announced the establishment of a new government college in Suhela, the construction of a Community Health Centre building in Tilda, and the construction of a new Government Girls’ Higher Secondary School building and a new commercial complex in Balodabazar. He further announced the construction of sheds worth Rs 10 lakh each at 50 paddy procurement centres across the district and the construction of road dividers with lighting on all three roads extending one kilometre from the Suhela junction.

Among the projects inaugurated by the Chief Minister were 1,073 houses built at a cost of Rs 12.87 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Gramin, as well as drinking water supply schemes constructed at Amakoni, Hathband, Pousari, Semhradih, and Khaparadih at a total cost of Rs 7.74 crore.

Major foundation-laying works included strengthening of the Balodabazar–Risda–Hathband road at a cost of Rs 49.17 crore, construction of the Risda bypass road in Balodabazar for Rs 20.98 crore, an indoor stadium complex in Balodabazar for Rs 15.59 crore, 717 houses under PMAY–Gramin for Rs 8.60 crore, and construction of the Sungera anicut across the Kolhan nala at a cost of Rs 8.04 crore.

Beneficiary-oriented materials and cheques worth over Rs 5 crore were distributed during the event. These included the return of Rs 27 lakh to victims of cyber fraud; Rs 83 lakh under various Labour Department schemes; Rs 4.25 crore in post-matric scholarships for 8,333 students; Rs 25 lakh to 16 women under self-help group and ‘Saksham’ initiatives; Rs 9.69 lakh to 10 beneficiaries under the Chief Minister’s Employment Generation Programme; and Rs 6.81 lakh to 60 beneficiaries under the ‘Hum Honge Kamyab’ scheme.

The programme was attended by Balodabazaar–Bhatapara Zila Panchayat President Smt Akanksha Jaiswal, Raipur Zila Panchayat President Shri Naveen Agrawal, former MLA Shri Shivratan Sharma, State Women’s Commission member Smt Laxmi Verma, Janpad Panchayat President of Simga Shri Daulat Pal, several public representatives, and a large gathering of local residents.

Proposal received to establish a Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies campus at EduCity, Nava Raipur

State government’s efforts to provide quality higher education to youth continue to yield significant results

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai met NMIMS representative Shri Jagdish V. Parikh at Mahanadi Bhawan on December 3. The meeting featured an in-depth discussion on the state’s recent initiatives in higher education and emerging opportunities in the sector.

Shri Parikh informed the Chief Minister about the institution’s proposal to set up its campus in EduCity, Nava Raipur, and shared details about NMIMS' academic programmes and activities. He also informed the Chief Minister about his earlier meeting with Housing & Environment Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary, who assured the departmental support for the project.

The Chief Minister said the state government is developing EduCity with the commitment to “provide quality higher education to every youth in Chhattisgarh”. He added that EduCity will provide students with access to top national institutions without requiring them to leave the state. He noted that the arrival of a prestigious institute like NMIMS will enable students to receive “high-quality education in management and engineering”. The presence of national and international institutions in EduCity, he said, will boost youth skill development and create better employment opportunities.

It is noteworthy that the state government is developing EduCity in Nava Raipur as a premier educational hub. The project includes plans for a multidisciplinary university, research centres, incubation hubs, a digital library, science and innovation centres, and advanced laboratories. These facilities will provide students with access to education, research, and start-up opportunities of national and global standards.

Nava Raipur already have esteemed institutions such as IIIT, IIM, and the National Law University. With the development of EduCity, a robust and modern academic ecosystem is anticipated to emerge.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister performed ‘bhoomipujan’ and inaugurated development works worth over Rs 475 crore. He announced that Ambagarh Chowki would be made a revenue subdivision and that a fully equipped auditorium would be constructed there. He also transferred the 22nd instalment of the Mahtari Vandan scheme directly into the bank accounts of beneficiary women. The programme was presided over by Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh.

Recalling the contribution of former Prime Minister late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee in formation of Chhattisgarh and the welfare of tribal communities, Shri Sai said that continuous efforts are being made by the Central and State Governments under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the overall development of tribal and Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs). Through the PM Janman and Gram Utkarsh schemes, all essential facilities are being provided to tribal families to ensure their inclusion in the mainstream.

The Chief Minister said that the Chhattisgarh Government is about to complete two years of its tenure on December 13. He noted that the government has fulfilled all guarantees made under “Modi Ki Guarantee” during these two years. Under the Mahtari Vandan scheme, Rs 1,000 is deposited every month in the bank accounts of women beneficiaries. He added that farmers are receiving payment for paddy at the rate of Rs 3,100 per quintal for 21 quintals per acre, and Tendu leaf collectors are being paid Rs 5,500 per standard bag. Distribution of Charan Paduka- footwear for Tendu leaf collectors has also been resumed.

Chief Minister Sai said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah have resolved to eliminate the biggest obstacle to the development of the nation and the state—Maoism—by March 2026. He stated that the Chhattisgarh Government, in close coordination with the Central Government, is undertaking strong and effective measures to free the state from Maoist terror. He expressed confidence that Chhattisgarh will soon be completely free from Maoist extremism.

Paying tribute to Bhagwan Birsa Munda, the Chief Minister said that he is a source of pride not only for the tribal community but for the entire nation. He also highlighted the significant contributions of tribal heroes and freedom fighters to India’s independence and nation-building. He said that the visit of President Smt Droupadi Murmu to Surguja on the occasion of Bhagwan Birsa Munda Jayanti is a matter of honour and pride for all.

Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that the successful implementation of welfare schemes by the Central and State Governments has brought far-reaching changes in Chhattisgarh. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, a new chapter of development is being written across the state, and significant transformation is visible from Bastar to Surguja. Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai joined the gathering at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in Raipur to listen to the 128th episode of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s widely loved monthly radio address, Mann Ki Baat. Describing the episode as deeply inspiring, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Mann Ki Baat has evolved into a national ritual that awakens and unites the country’s collective consciousness. “In every episode, the Prime Minister speaks to the nation as a guardian would to his family, guiding, encouraging and reminding us of our shared responsibility,” he observed.

Chief Minister Shri Sai noted that Mann Ki Baat has become a window through which innovation, people’s participation and exemplary grassroots efforts from every corner of India are brought to national attention. “Through this platform, individuals dedicated to nation-building receive the recognition they truly deserve,” he said. Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai convened a high-level meeting at Mahanadi Bhawan on November 28 to review the goals set for the Education Department under Chhattisgarh Anjor Vision 2047. He held detailed discussions on the short-term goals up to 2030, medium-term goals up to 2035, and long-term objectives, directing officials to prepare a “clear, time-bound and result-oriented” action plan.

The Chief Minister stated that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the national target of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ has been set, and Anjor Vision is Chhattisgarh’s path towards achieving this “modern and developed state” objective. He emphasised that education is the strongest foundation for these aspirations, as “skilled, capable and future-ready children” alone can meet the challenges of the coming decades. He noted that teacher availability in the state is above the national average and that government schools are providing “consistent, quality learning environments”. During the meeting, the School Education Secretary briefed the Chief Minister through a detailed presentation.

CM Shri Sai stated that when teachers fulfil their responsibilities with dedication, “nothing can prevent a child from achieving a bright future”. He called for encouraging healthy competition among teachers, offering leadership opportunities to talented educators and fostering an improved academic atmosphere. Instructions were issued to strengthen early childhood education through close coordination with the Department of Women and Child Development.

Key goals under Anjor Vision — including the establishment of 1,000 model schools, the school-complex system, development of international-standard schools, AI-based assessment, personalised learning through digital apps, upgraded teacher training and expanded STEM education — were reviewed in detail.

The Chief Minister placed special emphasis on promoting STEM through the creation of a Science City, organising science fairs, and establishing AI and robotics laboratories. Discussions were also held on reducing dropout rates to zero by 2035, establishing a state-level ECCE committee, strengthening evaluation centres, and accelerating teacher recruitment. He instructed the officials to formulate three-year targets and formulate action plan to implement them with immediate action.

He reviewed the functioning of the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education, including data processes, question paper development, examinations and evaluation. He instructed officials to introduce additional subject options at the higher secondary level, create a competitive-exam-oriented question bank, an error-free evaluation system, and a tracking mechanism for the secure transport of confidential question papers.

The meeting also highlighted progress under the NEP 2020 — including rising enrolment rates, the integration of Balwadi with school education, mother-tongue-based learning, the ‘Jadui Pitara’ and Samvad programmes, Eco Club activities, digital broadcasting under the PM e-Vidya initiative, and the expansion of vocational education. CM Sai said that the targets under Anjor Vision 2047 will help build an “empowered, self-reliant and globally competitive” generation in Chhattisgarh.

Raipur : With the objective of strengthening Chhattisgarh’s food security and expanding opportunities in agriculture-based industries, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai met Union Minister for Food and Consumer Affairs Shri Chirag Paswan in New Delhi today. The meeting, held at the Minister’s office, was marked by a constructive and forward-looking dialogue on several public welfare issues concerning the state. Chief Minister Shri Sai drew particular attention to enhancing food safety systems, accelerating agro-industrial growth, and unlocking the full potential of the food processing sector in Chhattisgarh.

Chief Minister Shri Sai urged the Union Minister to consider establishing the National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM) in Chhattisgarh. He stated that such an institution would equip the youth with advanced training in food technology, entrepreneurship, and emerging employment avenues. Highlighting the state’s strong agricultural base, he emphasized that a NIFTEM campus would directly benefit thousands of students, farmers, and food-based enterprises across the region.

Union Minister Shri Chirag Paswan received the proposal positively and assured Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai that he would extend every possible support and examine the matter with due seriousness.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Shri Sai also proposed that a regional summit of World Food India be hosted in Raipur. He underlined that Raipur’s rich culinary heritage, excellent connectivity, and natural diversity make it an ideal destination for such a prestigious event. The summit, he said, would help showcase regional food traditions on the global stage and create major opportunities for emerging food-based enterprises. He suggested that the festival be organised every two years, modeled on World Food India in Delhi or the North East Food Fest in Guwahati.

Chief Minister Shri Sai further informed the Union Minister that the state intends to establish a food testing laboratory and a food irradiation unit to ensure the safety and longevity of food products—projects for which central support has been sought. He added that increased participation of large investors in paddy and fruit–vegetable–based industries will significantly benefit farmers, women’s self-help groups, and rural livelihoods.

Chief Minister Shri Sai added that Chhattisgarh’s new industrial policy places special emphasis on the food processing sector and offers several incentives for investors. Under this framework, 'Drools' is investing ₹1,000 crore in the state, a project expected to generate around 3,000 jobs and extend socio-economic benefits to rural and tribal communities.

He also reiterated the state’s goal of developing Chhattisgarh into a major rice bran oil hub, thereby reducing dependence on edible oil imports and contributing to the national vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. “The dream of an Aatmanirbhar Chhattisgarh and a Viksit Bharat 2047 will be realized through such collective and determined efforts,” he said.

Three day state level housing expo begins at BTI Ground, Shankar Nagar

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated residential projects of the Chhattisgarh Housing Board worth Rs 2,060 crore at the state level housing expo at BTI Ground, Shankar Nagar in Raipur on Sunday. These 55 projects will be launched across 26 districts and will build more than 12,000 affordable and quality homes. He also launched the Housing Board’s AI chatbot and portal that will provide easy access to project related information for consumers.

Lauding the efforts of Housing Board, Chief Minister said "The present team of the Chhattisgarh Housing Board is performing strongly and is pushing new ideas to provide affordable and quality homes to people." He added that the state government has cleared loans worth Rs 790 crore of the Housing Board so that it can plan and work with a better strategy.

Referring to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) being implemented across the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, he said "Within two years Chhattisgarh alone has approved homes for twenty six lakh beneficiaries. Under the PM Janman Yojana, 32,000 homes have been sanctioned for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups. In Bastar, 15,000 homes have been approved for surrendered Naxalites and families affected by Maoism.

During the programme, Chief Minister handed over booking certificates of residential units, keys to Housing Board allottees and freehold certificates to beneficiaries. He conveyed his congratulations and best wishes to them.

Speaker Dr Raman Singh appreciated the work of the Housing Board saying that the current team has shown notable progress in the housing sector. He added that the response to the expo was evident from the large number of people arriving since the event began. He also praised the efforts of Chief Minister to provide homes to needy families and said that a budget provision of Rs 14,000 crore has been made for this purpose. He expressed confidence that all Housing Board projects will receive strong support in the districts.

Housing and Environment Minister Shri O P Choudhary expressed gratitude for the decisions taken under the leadership of the Chief Minister to improve the functioning of the Housing Board and provide relief to consumers. He said the Board has become debt free after clearing Rs 790 crore of outstanding loans. He added that within one year the Board has done business worth Rs 672 crore. The government has provided concessions in land diversion and freehold charges to ease the burden on both the Board and consumers. He said the Board will plan its future projects based on consumer demand.

Addressing the gathering, Housing Board Chairman Shri Anurag Singhdev said "Under the leadership of Chief Minister, the Board will build homes in every district and will soon launch residential projects in every assembly constituency."

The state level housing expo at BTI Ground will continue till November 25. On the first day itself a large crowd reached the venue to enquire about the housing boards project and to book home .

Raipur : The Chhattisgarh Pavilion remained a major attraction on Monday at the International Trade Fair being held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai visited the Chhattisgarh Pavilion and took a walkthrough of the various stalls. Praising the products and innovations displayed at the pavilion, he said that Chhattisgarh is continuously establishing a strong presence on global trade platforms.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Chhattisgarh’s traditional art, handicrafts, forest-produce-based items and traditional crafts are making a distinct mark in the global market. He said, “The growing demand for Chhattisgarhi products among buyers in India and abroad is strengthening the local economy and giving new recognition to our artisans. These are important steps towards our resolve of building an ‘Atmanirbhar Chhattisgarh’.”

The Chief Minister also appreciated the display showcasing Bastar’s rich heritage and artworks. After watching the documentary ‘Badalta Bastar (Aamcho Bastar)’ broadcast on the digital TV at the pavilion, he said that the documentary clearly reflects the progressive and new Bastar of today. Bastar has changed, and the documentary presents a vivid glimpse of this transformation. The Chief Minister added that the state government is continuously strengthening various schemes and institutional support to take tribal and rural products to national and international markets.

Chief Minister issues instructions for fast and effective implementation of welfare schemes

Raipur : A crucial meeting of the State-Level DISHA Committee was held on Friday at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. The meeting included a comprehensive review of the progress of various centrally and state-sponsored schemes.

Chief Minister Shri Sai directed officials to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is deprived of the benefits of any scheme and that all schemes are implemented in a timely and effective manner.

He said DISHA committee meetings are extremely important, as they enable regular review of centrally funded schemes. He directed that DISHA meetings must be conducted once every six months. He informed that a total of 81 schemes are being implemented under 26 departments. He urged MPs to ensure mandatory attendance in the quarterly district-level DISHA meetings.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma stressed on regular meetings, better coordination, and timely implementation. He said the committee is a key institution guiding the direction of development works.

The Chief Minister reviewed major schemes under the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, including the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), National Rural Livelihood Mission, Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, and the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.

The meeting also discussed schemes of the Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, such as PM Janman, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. Chief Minister Shri Sai directed that 100% of eligible farmers must receive benefits and no farmer should be left out. He also reviewed the status of Agristack registration for forest land leaseholders.

While reviewing the Dairy Integrated Development Programme launched with the support of the National Dairy Development Board, the Chief Minister expressed displeasure over slow progress and instructed officials to meet targets quickly. He stressed the need to include Scheduled Tribe beneficiaries as well as traditional dairy farmers to expand the scheme and ensure wider benefits.

During the review of the Urban Administration Department, the Chief Minister assessed progress under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), Mission AMRUT, and the PM Street Vendor's AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PMSVANidhi) scheme. He placed special emphasis on ensuring transparency and timely completion of urban housing construction.

Chief Minister Shri Sai reviewed the number of Ayushman Cards and Vay Vandana Cards issued under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY). He instructed that special campaigns be conducted in villages of the Niyad Nella Nar region to ensure the availability of Ayushman Cards. He also stressed strict action on complaints related to Ayushman Cards and the need for a state-level helpline for beneficiaries.

Reviewing the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana and nutrition programmes, the Chief Minister said effective implementation of these schemes is essential. He directed officials to ensure excellent quality in the Mid-Day Meal scheme.

He stated that healthy women and healthy children form the foundation of a healthy state. He also reviewed the progress of the ‘Nyota Bhoj’ initiative and encouraged active participation of public representatives and officials.

The Chief Minister expressed strong dissatisfaction over slow progress in the BharatNet project in the telecom sector. He directed officials to expedite completion of the fibre network and give top priority to expanding connectivity in Bastar and remote areas. The meeting also reviewed updates on railway projects.

In alignment with its aggressive operational roadmap, AEIM has finalized orders for advanced semiconductor manufacturing systems from top global suppliers in Japan, Korea, and the United States. These precision-engineering systems are currently under production and timed to meet the company’s commissioning schedule.

The Raipur-based facility is projected to begin commercial production in the third quarter of 2026, positioning AEIM among the fastest-scaling high-tech manufacturing ventures in the region.

Raipur : Chhattisgarh has once again emerged among the country’s top-performing states in the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), securing central approval for 774 new rural roads spanning 2,426.875 km under PMGSY-IV. The Union Rural Development Minister,Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, conveyed the decision in a letter to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, noting that this phase marks the first attempt to provide all-weather connectivity to eligible unconnected habitations.

According to state data, Chhattisgarh has so far been sanctioned 9,722 roads (48,594 km) and 669 bridges across various phases of PMGSY. Of these, 8,753 roads (43,380 km) and 470 bridges have already been completed, reflecting the state’s strong on-ground performance. The newly approved works under PMGSY-IV are expected to accelerate rural connectivity, particularly in remote and underserved settlements.

The Union ministry said the all-weather road connectivity will significantly improve access to markets, healthcare, education, nutrition services, disaster response, and daily commuting, thereby boosting socio-economic development, strengthening rural livelihoods, and ensuring easier access to welfare services across the region.

Union Rural Development Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan praised Chhattisgarh’s consistent performance in PMGSY implementation, congratulating the people of the state along with PMGSY teams, engineers and field staff. He added that the Centre remains committed to ensuring the benefits of the scheme reach all targeted beneficiaries, further speeding up rural development in the state.

This is a historic step toward ensuring all-weather connectivity to remote and unconnected habitations. I express my heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Rural Development Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Our government is committed to providing safe, strong, all-season road connectivity to every village in Chhattisgarh, uplifting rural economy, education, healthcare, and public welfare,” he said
