Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today organized a meeting of officers and instructed them that the service of common citizens is the principal aim of their Government. The timely resolution of the problems of common people and their satisfaction along with a transparent administration should be everyone’s priority. If he receives any complaint about the administration, he will be bound to take action. Therefore, he asked the officers to refrain from doing any work that could lead to a complaint.

During the statewide Bhent Mulaqat program in the Dharamjaigarh Vidhansabha in the Raigarh district, the Chief Minister conducted a meeting of the local officers and said that he has been giving instructions to the SP and the Collector concerning the resolution of the problems of the common public. The service, honor, convenience, safety, and prosperity of the common people should be everyone’s priority. The Chief Minister said that this region is mostly inhabited by people belonging to economically weaker, tribal, and backward classes. These people come to the officers with a lot of hope for benefitting from the Government’s schemes and resolving their issues. Everyone should thus make sure that they don’t have to frequent the Government offices. The Chief Minister also performed the inauguration of developmental works and Bhoomipujan in Dharamjaigarh.

Work towards increasing the income of the people

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that there should be an improvement in education and health facilities in your region. No woman should be anemic and no child should suffer from malnourishment. They should be able to access the schemes of the Government. Gauthans should be strengthened so that they become a medium of economic development. Work should be done in this direction. The officers should work towards spreading awareness so that the income and prosperity of everyone including the members of self-help groups can increase.

Spread awareness to prevent the combat between humans and elephants

The Chief Minister Mr. Baghel gained information about the campaigns being run in the Dharamjaigarh region for the eradication of Anemia and malnutrition. He gave the instructions to provide a timely nutritional diet along with hot food. He also gave instructions to improve the level of education, distribute Forest Rights certificates, provide timely treatment to people in remote areas under the Haat Bazaar Clinic Yojana, improve roads, and provide clean drinking water to people. He informed people about the dangers of wandering elephants in the region. To prevent combats between humans and elephants, the Chief Minister gave instructions to make provisions for drinking water for wild animals and fruit-bearing trees for elephants under the Narwa program and spread awareness among the public. He also gave instructions to inform the villagers about the PESA law and to construct a stop dam in regions with water sources to enable irrigation facilities in tribal areas.

During the second phase of his 'Bhent-Mulaqat Abhiyan', Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 24 different development works worth Rs 569.78 crore in Dharamjaigarh assembly constituency of Raigarh district today. This includes the inauguration of 15 works built at a cost of Rs 64.36 crore and the foundation stone laying ceremony of 9 works to be constructed at a cost of Rs 505.42 crore.

The works inaugurated by Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel during the programme include upgradation of Gharghoda-Bypass road by Public Works Department at a cost of Rs 24.74 crore, construction of a new high school building in village Bhalumar of Gharghoda at a cost of Rs 74 lakh and government high school building at village Saskoba under Dharamjaigarh block at a cost of Rs 75 lakh, 500 seater tribal hostel building at Dharamjaigarh by Tribal Development Department at a cost of Rs 14.57 crore, 50 seater each post matric hostel building at Gharghoda and Maharajganj at a cost of Rs 3.84 crore, construction of Saria Nala bridge from Dharamjaigarh to Korba, Urga, Hati and Dharamjaigarh road at a cost of Rs 8.02 crore and construction of bridge over Mand river on Bangarsuta road of Kudekela at a cost of Rs 9.99 crore by Public Works Department (Bridge), Human relief center cum granary in village Pandrimouha and Ududa under Dharamjaigarh by Forest and Climate Change Department at a cost of Rs 25 lakh, WBM Vanmarg at three places at a cost of Rs 80 lakh by Forest Department, Vantage and Causeway construction part-1 and 2 at Mediya Khunta Nala by Panchayat and Rural Development Department at a cost of Rs 40 lakh and 'Pauni Pasari Bazar' at a cost of Rs 27 lakh by Gharghoda Nagar Panchayat.

Similarly, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for construction of 1 D-type government housing for judicial officers in Gharghoda Civil Court by the Department of Justice at a cost of Rs 76 lakh, 50 seater Post Matric Tribal Girls Hostel in village Bichhinara of Gharghoda by Tribal Development Department at a cost of Rs 1.53 crore, construction of bridge on Panikhet to Edukla road in Raigarh at a cost of Rs 5.50 crore and construction of bridge over Sangul river between village Samaniya and Pathalgaon Khurd at a cost of Rs 7.98 crore by Public Works Department (Bridge), 92 works under retrofitting scheme, 110 works under single village and 71 under solar scheme in Dharamjaigarh and Gharghoda at a cost of Rs 329.74 crore by Public Health Engineering Department, construction of CC road and drain by Gharghoda Nagar Panchayat at a cost of Rs 2.97 crore and beautification of Chhotemuda pond under ward number-10 in Gharghoda at a cost of Rs 94 lakh, and construction of 220/132 KV substation at Hati, Dharamjaigarh at a cost of Rs 156 crore by the Electricity Department.

Pratyaksh - someone who can be seen clearly. This name had been given by a mother to her son so that he would always be present before her eyes. However, when Pratyaksh grew up, it was observed that he was unable to see properly with his eyes. Pratyaksh’s mother, Nilavati Rathiya, was stricken by sorrow after hearing this news. The poor Rathiya family of Gharghoda was unable to bear the expenses of Pratyaksh’s treatment by private doctors.

Time passed and Pratyaksh was 3 years old. Nilavati had given up any hopes that her son could be able to see again. In such a situation, the Mukhyamantri Haat Bazaar Clinic Scheme appeared as a boon for Nilavati. Pratyaksh’s mother came to know that her son was suffering from cataract and that he could get free treatment under the Dr. Khoobchand Baghel Health Scheme launched by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. Finally, the day arrived when Pratyaksh’s eyes were operated on under the scheme and now he can see properly. For this, Pratyaksh’s mother and his whole family arrived at the Bhent Mulaqat program in Gharghoda to thank the Chief Minister.

Nearly 260-kms of roads will be constructed in Raigarh at the cost of Rs 467 crore

Chief Minister said that the work of repairing dilapidated roads in Raigarh district will be started soon after the rainy season is over. In his address to the people of village Chhal in Dharamjaigarh assembly constituency, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel assured that the roads of Raigarh districts will be repaired and reconstructed soon.

PWD Secretary Mr. Siddhartha Komal Pardeshi has inspected all the dilapidated roads in the district, and Chief Minister Mr. Baghel is personally monitoring the process. It is noteworthy that the increased traffic of heavy vehicles has damaged the roads in Raigarh district, which will be reconstructed post rainy season. Secretary, Public Works Department, Mr. Siddharth Komal Pardeshi informed that 70-km-long road from Raigarh to Dharamjaigarh will be built at a cost of Rs 130 crores, 90-km-long road from Kharsia-Chhal-Hati-Dharamjaigarh-Pathalgaon will be built at a cost of Rs 190 crores, 23-kms long road will be constructed from Chhal to Gharghoda at a cost of Rs 48 crores, 26-km long road en route Punjipathra-Tamanar-Milupara will be built at a cost of Rs 62 crore, Sarangarh-Barmakela-Sohela road (8-km) will be built at a cost of Rs.8.5 crore, Barmakela-Saria-Nadigaon road (18 km) will be constructed at a cost of Rs.7.5 crore, 15-km long road from Gharghoda to Lailunga will be built at a cost of Rs 7 crores and 3 kms long road from Surajgarh to Padigaon will be constructed at a cost of Rs 6 crores.

A glimpse of how Godhan Nyay Yojana is changing the lives of people was seen in the Bhent Mulaqat Campaign in Kharsia of Raigarh. A wave of prosperity prevails among the Women self-help groups involved in making and selling vermicompost manure by purchasing cow dung through Gauthans. Laxmani Rathia, a resident of Jobi village in Kharsia, is also associated with Godhan Nyay Yojna through the Ujala Mahila Self-Help Group.

This group sold about 600 quintals of vermi compost and earned a dividend of Rs. 2 lakh 15 thousand. With her dividend,Laxmani Rathia bought computers for her children so that they could expand their knowledge and attain modern education. Obstacles of resources in rural areas have been removed for numerous families with the help of Godhan Nyay Yojna. The scheme has proved to be a boon for the children of laxmani,namely yatindra who is a student of class 10th and Bhavna studying in class 12th and they have thanked the Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for this initiative. Laxmani says that schemes launched by the Bhupesh Baghel government are proving beneficial for the poor,labourers and women at the grass root level,and they are now becoming a medium of economic empowerment in Chhattisgarh and they are also proving to be significant contributers in their family's economic condition.

Today, Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel reached Kunjemura village of Lailunga assembly constituency of Raigarh district during Bhent-Mulaqat Abhiyan. There was tremendous enthusiasm among the villagers to meet the Chief Minister. He reached the Shri Hanuman temple of Kunjemura located in Tamnar block and offered prayers and wished for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state. He walked in the streets of Kunjemura and met the villagers and asked about their well-being. Villagers also welcomed the Chief Minister. School Education Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam and many public representatives and officials were present during this meeting.

He announced many development and construction works for the villagers in Kunjemura. He announced to open a Swami Atmanand Hindi Medium School in the High school, a new branch of Gramin District Co-Operative Central Bank, and a Sub treasury in Tamnar, Post Graduate classes will start in Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Tamnar. A Sub Tehsil office will be opened in Saraipali. A new building will be constructed for the primary health centre in Dhaurabhatha village. The facilities of the community-based tap water scheme will be expanded in Godhi village. Government Girls Primary School Lailunga will be named after Seth Jaidayal Singhania. Community Health Center Tamnar will be named after Late. Jayalal Chaudhary.

He also announced the construction of several roads project to avail easy transportation for the rural areas. He announced that a 28 km road will be constructed from Tamnar to Lailunga via Urba. A total of 19 km of a new road will be constructed from Hamirpur village to Barkachar till Banjari Adbahal. A 1.5 km road from Rengarbahari to the Gharghoda border and a 6 km road up to Madiyakachar in Pelama will be constructed.

During the meeting, he interacted with the villagers and asked about the implementation and benefits of the schemes. When he asked about the Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyan, Bilasini Mahant said that earlier she was suffering from anaemia, and now she is fine. Under the scheme, they were provided hot food and had a check-up in time. A villager from Dhaurabhatha told that he is suffering from BP and sugar and he is getting free check-ups and medicine at Haat Bazar clinic.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said,” I am aware of road conditions of the Raigarh district. I had a meeting with officials. The construction work will start very soon after the rains”. Laxmin Dhoba, a villager, told the Chief Minister Mr. Baghel that she doesn't have a caste certificate, the Chief Minister replied that she should apply to the Tehsildar and then she will get a caste certificate soon. The Chief Minister told them that if caste is not mentioned in the state list, they will not get the caste certificate benefit. A woman of Jai Maa Gayatri Self Help Group Sankera told that they need a building, fencing for Gauthan and a place to keep the vermicompost and a road. After listening to her, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that the Collector has taken a note and will get it built.

Komal Chauhan from Sonbarsa in Raigarh is a student of the 2nd standard. Her family members were worried about her falling frequently sick. Similarly, Payal Patel living in Chaple village had forgotten to smile because of her disease. The family members of both these innocent children were unable to understand what to do.

Payal and Komal were suffering from heart ailments that doctors had failed to understand. At the initiative of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, teams of special doctors visit schools to conduct health tests on children. Through these tests, it was revealed that there was a hole in the heart of these two children which was impairing their development and keeping them sick. After that, Payal and Komal were admitted to big hospitals and were provided free treatment under the Dr. Khoobchand Baghel Health Scheme. Due to the Dr. Khoobchand Baghel Scheme started by Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, innocent children like Komal and Payal are being saved and they can start a new life.

When the family members of the children came to know that the Chief Minister is visiting the Chaple village of Kharsiya today, both the children arrived with their families to meet the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister not only posed for photographs with these children but also honored them by giving gifts.

Today, Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel reached Rajpur village of Lailunga Assembly constituency of Raigarh district for the Bhent-Mulaqat campaign. He worshipped Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Mata Subhadra in the Shri Jagannath temple located in the Rajpur village and prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the state. He was welcomed by the local women who honoured him by offering a hat made of Kans grass and paddy. The Chief Minister also honoured these women by giving sarees to them. A Kadamba tree was planted on this occasion.

Major Announcements

During the program, the Chief Minister announced many developments works for the people of this area. Primary Health Center Rajpur will be upgraded to Community Health Centre, a new Primary Health Center will be established in Basantpur and Ghatgaon village, a new culvert will be constructed on Kharun river for Lailunga to Potra road, a new culvert will be constructed on Kharun river for Katangpara to Salihapara road, new rooms will be constructed in the Gahira Guru Rameshwar Government College, Lailunga and the number of seats will be increased in each stream, and a new indoor stadium will be constructed at Lailunga.

Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel announced to rename the Higher Secondary and High School of village Rajpur after the late Shri Roopdhar Behera. It is noteworthy that the sons of Late Shri Roopdhar Behera, Late Shri Himsagar Behera and Late Shri Kirtan Prasad Behera, realizing the importance of education, donated about 6 acres of their private land for schools and schools are running here since 1986.

Mrs. Anjana Kujur of Lailunga told Mr. Baghel that her four-year-old son Yuvan had a hole in his heart since childhood and he could not be treated due to the family's financial condition, but at the initiative of the Chief Minister, this 4-year-old child has been successfully treated under Chirayu Yojana and today this child is completely healthy too. She thanked the Chief Minister for saving her son’s life.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel asked how many families are getting 35 kg of rice, salt and sugar, on a reply everyone present there said yes in one voice. He said that the Chhattisgarh government is working in every way to put money in the pockets of the people and work for the livelihood of the people.

Chief Minister Mr.Baghel felicitated Muskan Agarwal, a student of Swami Atmanand English Medium School Lailunga. She secured the third rank in the tenth Board Examination. Mayank Goyal who secured the fifth rank was also felicitated. On this occasion, he also took a selfie with the toppers and wished them a better future.

During the meeting, people witnessed his simplicity and soberness again. He instructed the security personnel to make arrangements for villagers who were drenched in the rain and made them allow to sit in front of him by removing his security cordon.

Chandni Mishra, a student of Swami Atmanand English Medium School, Lailunga, asked the Chief Minister about the secret of the smile on his face, to which he replied, “Only human beings have got this quality, we should enjoy the work we are doing. If you are studying, you should enjoy reading. One should not be under stress, be happy and serve everyone, the joy that is in serving others is not found anywhere else”. The girl told the Chief Minister that there was a shortage of teachers in her school, to which the Chief Minister replied that the shortage problem will be resolved very soon.

During the meeting, Mrs. Sushila Paikara of the women's group told the Chief Minister that she had fulfilled her dream of travelling in an airplane through the income she earned by selling vermicompost, for which she also thanked the Chief Minister. The students of Swami Atmanand English Medium School while talking in English thanked the Chief Minister for opening the school in Lailunga. Chief Minister asked a question in Chhattisgarhi but Shalini Mishra, a student, answered his question in English.

Bharat Jodo yatra's 19-day Kerala leg begins

Thiruvananthapuram, /(AGENCY) Congress' Bharat Jodo Yatra commenced its 19-day long Kerala leg Sunday morning from Parassala area of the southernmost district of the state.

The three-hour long first phase of the yatra for the day ended at Neyyattinkara here at around 10.30 AM and the second three-hour phase is expected to resume at 4 PM.

Sharing photographs of the yatra, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said that every section of society was excited about the Bharat Jodo Yatra which was evident from the participation and enthusiasm of farmers, laborers, youth, women, children and the elderly.

"The message of the people of the country is clear- inflation, unemployment, economic crisis and divisive politics should end," she said in a Facebook post.

The Indian National Congress, buoyed by the huge following the yatra has generated, tweeted, "Joining hands, connecting hearts - #BharatJodoYatra bringing India together."

Rahul Gandhi started the yatra at around 7.30 AM from Parassala after being formally welcomed by Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president and MP K Sudhakaran, Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the state Assembly V D Satheesan, and AICC general secretary Tariq Anwar and other senior Congress leaders.

The other senior party leaders who welcomed the former party chief included Congress MPs K C Venugopal and Shashi Tharoor as well as former Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy and ex-LoP Ramesh Chennithala.

A huge crowd of supporters and onlookers gathered to welcome the Gandhi scion.

"Our Bharat Jodo Yatra in Kerala. The diversity of India is so apparent. Yesterday we entered Malayalam speaking Kerala from Tamil speaking Tamil Nadu. From Vannakam to Namaskaram . #BharatJodoYatra #TodoNahinJodo @INCIndia @Jairam_Ramesh @RahulGandhi," senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh, the national coordinator of the yatra, tweeted.

Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh, who is also accompanying Gandhi on the yatra, tweeted, "Today we begin the 4th day of the #BharatJodoYatra from Parassala Junction near Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. As was only to be expected, the turnout of the crowds is huge so early on a Sunday morning!"

Visuals aired on TV channels and the Twitter page of the Bharat Jodo Yatra showed thousands taking part in the yatra and people also lining up on the roadsides for a glimpse of Gandhi, take his photograph or exchange a few words with him.

"Gain freedom through education, gain strength through organization, gain prosperity through industry. Today, as we enter the beautiful state of Kerala, on the auspicious occasion of Sree Narayana Guru Jayanti, his words inspire every step we take on the #BharatJodoYatra," Gandhi had tweeted as the yatra entered Kerala Saturday evening.

After entering Kerala from Parassala close to the Tamil Nadu border, Gandhi would travel 450 km to Nilambur in Malappuram over a 19-day period.

The yatra will enter Kollam district on September 14.

It will reach Alappuzha on September 17 and pass through Ernakulam district on September 21 and 22 and reach Thrissur on September 23.

The Congress yatra will pass through Palakkad on September 26 and 27 and enter Malappuram on September 28.

The yatra will cover 12 states and two Union territories, and a distance of 3,750 km from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu to Jammu and Kashmir over a period of 150 days.

There will be mega rallies in 22 major cities.

Inaugurated and performed Bhoomipujan of various development works worth more than Rs 153 crore

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel on Friday inaugurated the newly formed district Sakti --the 33rd district of Chhattisgarh state which has been carved out of the Janjgir-Champa district. Besides, he also attended the inaugural programme of the Collector's Office and Superintendent of Police's office, Badadev's Maha Puja, and public meetings. A roadshow of the Chief Minister was also held.

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated and performed Bhoomipujan of 309 works worth Rs 1 billion 53 crores 6 lakh for the development of the district. This includes Bhoomipujan of 296 works worth Rs 85 crore 20 lakh and the inauguration of 13 works to be constructed at a cost of Rs 67 crore 85 lakh 99 thousand.

Under this, Chief Minister performed Bhoomipujan of 105 development works worth Rs 8 crore 73 lakh under the Education Department, 81 development works worth Rs 4 crore 82 lakh under the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, 32 development works worth Rs 8 crore 17 lakh under the Co-operation Department, 39 development works worth Rs 20 crore 73 lakh under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, 15 development works worth Rs 3 crore 40 lakh under health department, 12 development works worth Rs 21 crore 69 lakh under water Resources department, 6 development works worth Rs 5 crore 68 lakh under Administration Department, one development work worth Rs 1 crore 52 lakh under Tribal Welfare Department and 5 development works worth Rs 10 crore 40 lakh under Public Works Department.

Similarly, Chief Minister inaugurated 3 development works worth Rs 37 lakh under Education Department, 4 development works worth Rs 28 lakh under Panchayat and Rural Development Department, 3 development works worth Rs 23 crore 95 lakh under Public Works Department (Bridge), one development work worth Rs 34 lakh under Health Department, one development work worth Rs 1 crore 52 lakh under Tribal Welfare Department and one development work worth Rs 41 crore 38 lakh under Public Works Department.

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated newly-formed Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district today, at a program organized in Manendragarh. At the program, Mr. Baghel inaugurated and performed Bhoomipujan of development works worth Rs 200 crore 73 lakh. On this occasion, Chief Minister accorded warm welcom with garlands, mukut, floral showers and saropa. Chief Minister thanked people of the area for their love, affection and felicitation. He extended his congratulations and best wishes for the new district.

Chief Minister said that today on Day-9 of the 9th month of the year, the long-awaited demand of the people of the area has been fulfilled. On this occasion, Chief Minister announced that the 100-bed hospital in Chirmiri will be upgraded as district hospital, Siddha Baba temple of Manendragarh will be further developed by Tourism Department and an amount of Rs three crore each will be sanctioned for the development of Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur.

In his address to the program, Chief Minister said that we have created six districts and 85 tehsils during our tenure. At first we formed Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district, and later five more districts were formed. The purpose of creating districts and tehsils is to bring administration closer to the people. Closer the district, tehsil, and sub-division offices are to the public, faster and more effective will be the implementation of government schemes. This would benefit all the sections of the society including youth.

Chief Minister further said that we are moving ahead on the path of rapid development. Earlier, we used to source electricity supply from Madhya Pradesh, now Chhattisgarh has become the power hub. We have benefited farmers of the state with decisions like loan waiver, and schemes such as Rajiv Gandhi Nyay Yojana. He said that the highest price of minor forest produce is provided in Chhattisgarh. Today, we are procuring 65 minor forest produce. Chhattisgarh is the first state in the world where cow dung is being procured.

Chief Minister said that at present, 247 English medium schools and 32 Hindi medium schools are being run under Swami Atmanand Scheme. In the coming session, 422 high and higher secondary schools will be upgraded as Swami Atmanand Utkrisht Vidyalayas. International-level school will be opened in Naya Raipur, to provide better opportunities of education and learning to the children of Chhattisgarh.

Chief Minister said that we have developed Ram Van Gaman Path to promote our cultural heritage. In addition, Ghotul and Devgudi are being preserved in the tribal areas. Speaker Mr. Charandas Mahant, MP Mrs. Jyotsna Mahant, MLA Mrs. Ambika Singhdeo, Mr. Gulab Kamro, Mr. Vinay Jaiswal also addressed the program. Public Works and Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu, Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shivkumar Daharia and other officials concerned were also present in the program.

More than 51 lakh people from remote villages and forest areas have availed the medical treatment at Haat-Bazar clinics

A total of 1.11 lakh mobile clinics have been held so far across the state, under Chief Minister Haat-Bazaar Clinic Scheme

Presently, free health checkup, treatment and medicines are being provided people in over 1824 Haat-bazaars across the state

So far, as many as 51 lakh 15 thousand 132 people have availed medical treatment at the mobile clinics organized by Health Department in the Haat-Bazaars in forest areas and villages of Chhattisgarh. Presently, under Chief Minister Haat-Bazaar Clinics Scheme, people are being provided free health checkup, medicines and treatment in 1824 Haat-bazaars of the state. Ever since this scheme was launched by the Health Department, a total of one lakh ten thousand 988 Haat-Bazaar clinics have been organized across the state till date. Under the scheme, people are being provided free medicines and treatment in remote areas through 425 dedicated branding vehicles and medical teams in the state.

Besides providing free treatment, medical consultation and medicines to the people at Haat-Bazaar clinics, Mobile Medical Units also conduct the screening for Malaria, HIV, Diabetes, Anemia, TB, Leprosy, Hypertension and Eye disorders. Immunization of infants and pregnant women is also being done in these clinics. Moreover, eight types OPD based services are also being provided in Haat-Bazaar clinics. Free medicines are also provided to the people found sick after the test. Those patients who require high level of examination or treatment are referred directly from Haat-Bazaar clinics to the health centers so that their complete treatment can be ensured.

Under Chief Minister Haat-Bazar Clinic Scheme, 12 lakh 51 thousand 020 people were tested for hypertension, 10 lakh 54 thousand 717 people for diabetese, 4 lakh 09 thousand 439 people for malaria, 2 lakh 76 thousand 727 people for Anemia and one lakh 614 people were screened for eye disorders. In these clinics, TB test of 39 thousand 699 people, leprosy test of 15 thousand 631 people and HIV test of 30 thousand 147 people was also conducted. Meanwhile, ANC test of 75 thousand 978 pregnant women was also done. One lakh 33 thousand 829 diarrhea victims have also been treated in the clinics organized in Haat-bazaars.

So far, 2 lakh 52 thousand 66 people in Balod district, 1 lakh 15 thousand 998 people in Balodabazar-Bhatapara, 1 lakh 24 thousand 238 people in Balrampur-Ramanujganj, 1 lakh 28 thousand 82 people in Bastar, 3 lakh 5 thousand 816 in Bemetara, 1 lakh 18 thousand 356 in Bijapur, 2 lakh 82 thousand 338 in Bilaspur, 1 lakh 11 thousand 616 in Dantewada, 46 thousand 365 in Dhamtari, 1 lakh 71 thousand 509 people in Durg, 2 lakh 19 thousand 597 in Gariaband, 88 thousand 741 people in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, 2 lakh 24 thousand 573 people in Janjgir-Champa and 2 lakh 50 thousand 951 people in Jashpur have been provided free healthare services under Chief Minister Haat-Bazar Clinic Scheme.Under the scheme, 1 lakh 97 thousand 651 people in Kabeerdham, 1 lakh 84 thousand 572 people in Kanker, 1 lakh 8 thousand 525 people in Kondagaon, 1 lakh 42 thousand 801 people in Korba, 1 lakh 27 thousand 848 people in Koriya, 2 lakh 92 thousand 645 in Mahasamund 1 lakh 11 thousand 804 in Mungeli, 47 thousand 150 in Narayanpur, 4 lakh 89 thousand 733 in Raigarh, 1 lakh 38 thousand 38 in Raipur, 3 lakh 6 thousand 9 in Rajnandgaon, 57 thousand 737 in Sukma, 3 lakh 17 thousand 113 people in Surajpur, and 1 lakh 53 thousand 260 people in Surguja district have been provided the free health checkup and medicines.

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel is going to inaugurate two new districts on 9 September after giving 3 new districts to the people of the state last week. Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur will come into existence as 32nd and Sakti as 33rd district. In this way the number of districts in the state will increase to 33. With the formation of both the new districts, the years old demand of the residents of these areas is going to be fulfilled. The formation of a new district will not only lead to better implementation of government programs, but will also help people recieve many types of public facilities and people will not have to travel long distances for administrative work.

Sakti district is coming into existence as a new administrative unit after being separated from Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur Koriya district and Janjgir-Champa. Unprecedented joy prevails in the remote forest areas of Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur and in Sakti regarding the formation of the new district. With the new district coming into existence, a new stream of development will flow in the area, the pace of development will also accelerate. Development work will be done in avenues like education, health, food grains, internet and road connectivity in inaccessible areas.

On the inauguration of new districts, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will give development works worth Rs 353 crore 79 lakh 23 thousand in both the districts. On this day, Bhoomi Pujan of 09 works worth Rs 187 crore 04 lakh 66 thousand and 06 works worth Rs 13 crore 68 lakh 57 thousand will be inaugurated in Manendragarh. Whereas in Sakti, 296 development works worth Rs 85 crore 20 lakh will be dedicated and 13 works worth Rs 67 crore 85 lakh 99 thousand will be dedicated.

The new district will be under Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur Surguja division. The total number of villages in the district is 376. There are 13 Revenue Inspector Boards and 87 Patwari halkas. There will be Manendragarh, Bharatpur and Khadgawan subdivisions and Manendragarh, Kelhari, Bharatpur, Kharagwan, Chirmiri and Kotadol tehsils. There are 5 urban bodies in which Municipal Corporation Chirmiri, Municipal Council Manendragarh, Nagar Panchayat Jhagrakhand, Nagar Panchayat Khongapani and Nagar Panchayat New Ledri are included. The newly formed district also includes tourist places like Amritdhara Falls, Siddhababa Temple (Manendragarh), Sitamarhi-Harchouka (Ramvangaman Tourist Circuit), Bharatpur, Ramdaha Falls.

Similarly, the new district will be under Sakti Bilaspur division. District Sakti will consist of a total of 5 tehsils including Tehsil Sakti, Malkharoda, Jaijaipur of subdivision Sakti and Tehsil Dabhra of subdivision Dabhra. Sakti district will consist of 18 Revenue Inspector Divisions. According to the 2011 census, the population of the district is 6,47,254. Sakti district will consist of 319 gram panchayats, 6 urban bodies. The newly formed district also includes tourist places like Chandrahasini Mata Temple Chandrapur, Adbhar Ashtabhuji Mata Temple, Rainkhol and Damaudraha.

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel is going to launch the formation of two new districts on 9 September after giving 3 new districts to the people of the state last week. From this day,the 32nd district will be Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur and Sakti will come into existence as the 33rd district. In this way the number of districts in the state will increase to 33. In the newly formed districts, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel will inaugurate the office of Collector and Superintendent of Police and will also conduct road shows.Development works worth crores of rupees will also be granted by Mr. Baghel for the newly formed district.

Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur will now emerge as new administrative units after separating them from Koriya district and from Janjgir-Champa. Unprecedented joy prevails in the remote forest areas of Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur and in Sakti. With the new district coming into existence, a new wave of development will flow in various avenues such as health,education,food,road connectivity and internet connectivity.

The proposed new district will be under the Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur Surguja division. The number of sub-divisions in the newly formed district is 3,in which Manendragarh, Bharatpur and Kharagwan are included, while the number of tehsils is 6 which includes Manendragarh, Kelhari, Bharatpur, Kharagwan, Chirmiri and Kotadol. There are 3 Janpad Panchayat namely Manendragarh, Kharagwan, Bharatpur. There are 5 urban bodies in which Municipal Corporation Chirmiri, Municipal Council Manendragarh, Nagar Panchayat Jhagrakhand, Nagar Panchayat Khongapani and Nagar Panchayat New Ledri are also included.

The total number of villages in the proposed newly constituted Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district is 376. There are 13 Revenue Inspector Boards and 87 Patwari halka. The geographical area of the proposed new district is 1 lakh 46 thousand 824 hectares. The population here is 3 lakh 76 thousand 696. The number of villages in Tehsil of Manendragarh is 59, in Kelhari 74, in Bharatpur 108, in Kharagwan 44 and in Chirmiri 16 while in the Tehsil of Kotadol,the number is 75. The newly formed district also includes tourist places like Amritdhara Falls, Siddhababa Temple (Manendragarh), Sitamarhi-Harchouka (Ramvangaman Tourist Circuit), Bharatpur, Ramdaha Falls.

Similarly, the proposed new district of Sakti will include a total of 5 tehsils including Tehsil Sakti, Malkharoda, Jaijaipur and Tehsil Dabhra of subdivision Sakti. The newly formed Sakti district will have Kartala Tehsil (District Korba) in the north, Sarangarh (District-Raigarh) in the south. , Kharsia (District-Raigarh) in the east and Saragaon, Bamhanidih tehsil (Janjgir Champa) in the west. Sakti district has 2 sub-divisions, Sakti and Dabhra (new district Sakti includes proposed subdivisions of Malkharoda and Jaijaipur) 5 tehsils respectively- Sakti, Dabhra, Jaijaipur, Malkharoda and new Baradwar (proposed tehsil Adbhar) Sub Tehsil- Chandrapur, Hasaud, Bhothia and 4 Block/District Panchayats will include Sakti, Jaijaipur, Malkharoda and Dabhra respectively.

Sakti district will consist of 18 Revenue Inspector Divisions. These include Jajang, Sakti, Portha, Naya Baradwar, Nagarda, Sakra, Adbhar, Chapora, Malkharoda, Thathari, Jaijaipur, Beladula, Hasaud, Deorghata, Dhurkot, Dabhra, Sapos and Chandrapur. The total revenue area of the district is 1,51,976 square kilometer. According to the 2011 census the population of the district is 6,47,254. The total number of villages is 465, populated village is 463, unpopulated village is 2, total number of Patwari Halkas are 153. Sakti district will consist of 319 gram panchayats and 6 urban bodies. The newly formed district also includes tourist places like Chandrahasini Mata Temple Chandrapur, Adbhar Ashtabhuji Mata Temple, Rainkhol, Damaudraha.

Chhattisgarh Scheduled Castes Advisory Council will be formed in Chhattisgarh

In yet another significant initiative for the benefit of the Scheduled Castes, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has decided to constitute the Scheduled Castes Advisory Council. The move aims toward the upliftment of people belonging to the Scheduled Caste category in Chhattisgarh, bringing positive changes in their lives, and making them socially and financially empowered.

With the formation of this council, better monitoring of the implementation of schemes and programmes being run for the welfare of scheduled castes will be done besides getting meaningful consultation for the same. The recommendations of the council will help the government and administration in taking necessary decisions for the betterment of the Scheduled Castes. The elected representative members of this class in the council will participate in resolving the problems of the people belonging to this category. This will make it easier to implement welfare programmes for the Scheduled Castes.

It is worth mentioning here that Chhattisgarh Scheduled Tribes Advisory Council has already been constituted for making recommendations on the subject matters related to Scheduled Tribes in Chhattisgarh. On the same lines, the process of the constitution of Scheduled Caste Advisory Council in Chhattisgarh has been started as per the instructions of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. The problems and needs of a particular class will be addressed by this council. Besides, decisions related to the welfare of Scheduled Castes will be taken.

The 20-membered council will be headed by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister while the minister in charge will be the vice-president. The council will have at least 05 elected members of the Scheduled Castes in the State Legislative Assembly and the remaining members will be nominated by the state government. In-charge Secretary, Government of Chhattisgarh, Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department will act as the secretary of this council.

To promote local and traditional games in Chhattisgarh, State Government has taken a new initiative to organize Chhattisgarhiya Olympic Games this year. This decision was taken today at the Cabinet Meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel at his residence office.

Under Chhattisgarhiya Olympic, sports competitions from kabaddi, Kho-Kho to tennis and cricket will be organized. Children to elderly, everyone can participate in these competitions. It is noteworthy that only the domiciles of Chhattisgarh can take part in the Chhattisgarhiya Olympic.

It is worth mentioning that soon after Mr. Bhupesh Baghel took oath as Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, he took a special initiative to promote and preserve the Chhattisgarhia culture and local rural traditions. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel organizes grand celebration of various folk festivals at his residence, where he enthusiastically participates in the traditional games. Even during his Bhent-Mulaqat program, he doesn't hesitate to go among the children and play games like Bhaura, Kanche (Banti), Gilli-Danda, Pitthul with them.

*Chhattisgarhia Olympics will be organized in four levels:

Games like Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Gedi, Pitthul, Volleyball, Hockey and Tennis Ball cricket have been included under Chhattisgarhia Olympic Games-2022. Competitions will be held in two categories- male and female, and at four levels i.e. Gram Panchayat, Block, District and State-level. Chhattisgarhia Olympic Games will be organized at the state-level in the capital Raipur. Sports coaches from Chhattisgarh Sports Development Authority, representatives of state and district sports associations and sports teachers of the education department will be providing the technical support and guidance in organizing these games.

*Training for National and International Competitions:

Sports Instructors (Coaches) will prepare the talented sportspersons of Chhattisgarhia Olympic Games-2022 for national and international competitions. This is a golden opportunity for the athletes to enhance their career as a sportsperson at national and international level.

Following committees will be constituted for sports events:

State Government will constitute separate committees for organizing sports events in gram panchayats and in 146 blocks of the state. The convener of the committees constituted at the gram panchayat level will be the sarpanch and the convener of the committees formed at the block level will be the block officer. For the food, transportation and other facilities for the participants, budget will be sanctioned to the Gram Panchayats and Development Blocks

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel virtually released an amount of Rs 5 crore 09 lakh to the beneficiaries as the 51st installment of Godhan Nyay Yojana in a programme organized at his residence today. This includes Rs 2 crore 69 lakh to cow dung vendors and Rs 1 crore 48 lakh and Rs 93 lakh to Gauthan Samitis and women Self-Help Groups respectively as a dividend.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that nearly 15 lakh quintals of vermicompost made using cow dung purchased under Godhan Nyay Yojana have been utilized by the farmers in their fields. "Through this scheme, we are serving Mother Earth along with serving 'Gaumata' (cow). Vermicompost production and its use in place of chemical fertilizers is a service to Mother Earth."

Referring to the feedback received from farmers, Mr. Baghel said that the use of vermicompost has improved soil fertility and crop production to a great extent. In addition, it has helped in reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers. He stressed on the need for mass production of vermicompost to ensure availability of the same to more than 26 lakh farmers of the state. For this, he also instructed to ensure regular purchase of cow dung in Gauthans without any hindrance and to get vermicompost tanks made as per requirement. He said that more than 3.5 lakh farmers of the state have lifted vermicompost from cooperative societies in the form of crop loans in the current Kharif season, which is encouraging.

He added that in the initial phase some people even mocked the cow dung procurement scheme. However, today this scheme has gained popularity in the villages and is being appreciated across the country. He said that new employment opportunities have been created in the villages with the coordination of Gauthan and Godhan Nyay Yojana. Rs 79 crore 60 lakh has been deposited in the bank accounts of 5863 Gauthan committees of the state as of today. About 2500 Gauthan committees have their capital deposits ranging from Rs one lakh to 10 lakh while that of 46 Gauthan committees ranges from Rs 10 lakh to 50 lakh.

"This achievement is a strong step towards realizing Mahatma Gandhi's dream of 'Gram Swaraj' (self-reliant villages). Many young entrepreneurs want to join the Rural Industrial Park set up in Gauthan. We should give them opportunities as this will increase employment opportunities in the rural areas and boost the income of locals. We are making all possible efforts to make villages prosperous", he said.

Addressing the programme, Agriculture Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey said that cow dung worth Rs 160 crore has been purchased in Gauthans so far. The women groups associated with Gauthans have earned an income of Rs 80 crore through various economic activities including vermicompost production. Efforts are being made in coordination with all the departments to ensure that income-oriented activities are conducted in Gauthans in a better way. An initiative to connect Yuva Mitan Club with Gauthans has also been started. He said that Gauthan and Godhan Nyay Yojana has become a source of income for livestock farmers, women self-help groups, and landless families.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Managing Director of Godhan Nyay Yojana, Dr. Ayaz Tamboli gave detailed information about the achievement of Godhan Nyay Yojana. He said that the purchase of 'gaumutra' is also being done by the Gauthans. So far, women's groups are selling 21 thousand liters of cow urine and making organic pesticides, 'Brahmastra' and 'Jeevamrut' using it. So far 17.57 lakh quintals of vermicompost have been produced using cow dung, out of which 15 lakh quintals of vermicompost have been sold.

India has always had a rich tradition of Upanishads and vedic logic. Our traditional literature is a treasure worth cherishing,it also teaches us to respect disagreements and take different opinions in consideration with utmost harmony. At the same time, many types of 'darshans' took place in our country and in spite of disagreements, everyone was respected equally. Charvak is a great example of this school of philosophy, which states "Yavat jeevet sukham jeevet rinam kritva ghritam pibet," but he was also not disrespected.

Unfortunately, over the years there has been increased resistance to dissent, which is a matter of great concern for India as a collective unit.The Chief Minister said this on the occasion of honoring retired teachers in Bhansuli. The Chief Minister said that studiousity is of great importance in our tradition. We have been following the age old tradition of 'guru shishya' since the gurukul era which has shaped numerous scholars. People become writers by studying a lot in universities, they become litterateurs, but recently a new university called WhatsApp University has come into existence which is spreading misinformation and hindering our unity as a country, it does not require any kind of degree to spread propaganda through this. Patriots like Pandit Nehru who spent 10 years in jail against the British, but unfortunately, forgetting their contribution, false propaganda is being spread against him.

We did the work of strengthening the school system so that there is no attempt to distort our excellent tradition. We have expanded English education through Swami Atmanand Schools. Sanskrit will also be taught here. The library was made with state of the art books and infrastructure that children can attain education through a diverse variety of books.

Mr. Baghel further said that there were great philosophers like Shankaracharya in India who spoke of 'Brahma Satyam Jagat Mithya'.

Gurus like Ramanujacharya started the Bhakti movement which inspired a diverse variety of art,literature and music . After this, gurus like Kabir, Nanak put forward the tradition of Guru. Kabir has even described Guru as a superior being to Govind.

Gandhiji's experiences of the Round Table- The Chief Minister also apprised the people regarding Gandhiji's memoirs of the Round Table Conference. Rs 500 crore for the maintenance of schools – The Chief Minister said on this occasion that education and health are our most important needs. We have decided to spend Rs 500 crore for the maintenance of our schools. Chhattisgarhi and local languages will also be taught in our schools one day. We have decided to start 5000 kindergartens. We introduced English education through 51 Swami Atmanand schools. Today the number has increased to 279. Next year 422 new Swami Atmanand schools will be started. In this way 701 Swami Atmanand Vidyalayas exist in the state to illuminate the future of Chhattisgarh through education. Today we have opened a school in Nava Raipur as well. The Chief Minister also announced the establishment of a mini stadium at Bhansuli today. The Vice Chancellor of Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla University, Mr. Keshari Nath Verma, former MLA Mr. Pradeep Choubey and Educationist Mr. Syed Fazil also addressed the gathering. The Chairman of School Management Committee, Mr. Puran Sahu also addressed the gathering and expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister. On this occasion, District Panchayat Vice President Mr. Ashok Sahu, District Central Cooperative Bank President Mr. Jawahar Verma, District Mandi Board President Mr. Ashwini Sahu and other dignitaries were present.

Collector Mr. Pushpendra Kumar Meena and SP Dr. Abhishek Pallav were also present on this occasion.
