Raipur : Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah presented the prestigious 'President's Colour' to the Chhattisgarh Police in Raipur today, marking the first day of his visit to the state. The ceremony was graced by several prominent dignitaries, including Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma. In his address, Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah highlighted the immense pride associated with receiving the ‘President's Colour’, a recognition of great distinction for any armed force. He commended the Chhattisgarh Police for earning this honour within just 25 years of its establishment, reflecting the trust it has garnered from the President.

Shri Shah lauded the Chhattisgarh Police as one of the finest forces in the country, renowned for its passion, courage, valour, and dedication. He emphasized that receiving the ‘President's Colour’ during its silver jubilee year is a testament to the force's relentless hard work, commitment, bravery, and deep connection with the public. He further praised the Chhattisgarh Police for its exemplary service in maintaining law and order, combating Naxalism, advancing the campaign for a drug-free India, ensuring public safety, and improving the quality of life for the state's citizens. Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah stated that today marks the death anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He remarked that it was Sardar Patel’s unparalleled courage and determination that unified the nation. Shri Shah further noted that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi fulfilled Sardar Patel’s unfinished mission by abrogating Article 370, thereby permanently integrating Kashmir with India. He added that the entire nation is paying tribute to Sardar Patel today with deep gratitude. Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, significant progress has been made in the fight against Naxalism over the past year. Security forces have neutralized 287 Naxalites, arrested 1,000, and facilitated the surrender of 837 Naxalites. He noted that among those neutralized, 14 were top-ranking Naxal leaders. Shri Shah highlighted that for the first time in four decades, the death toll of civilians and security personnel due to Naxal violence has fallen below 100, attributing this to the Modi government’s stringent policies against Naxalism.

He further stated that over the last decade under PM Modi’s leadership, Naxalism has been effectively curbed, resulting in a 73% reduction in security personnel casualties and a 70% decline in civilian deaths compared to the previous decade. The Home Minister also commended the Chhattisgarh Police for joining forces with other security agencies to deliver a decisive blow to Naxalism in the past year. Additionally, he pointed out that several developmental projects have been carried out in Chhattisgarh under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.

Shri Amit Shah stated that the first ‘President’s Colour’ was awarded to the Indian Navy in 1951, and today, any armed force must complete 25 years of service to be eligible for this prestigious honour. He expressed gratitude to the President of India for recognizing and honoring the 25 years of service, dedication, sacrifice, and commitment of the Chhattisgarh Police. Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Central Government and the State Government are committed to completely eliminating Naxalism from Chhattisgarh by March 31, 2026. He urged Naxalites to abandon the path of violence, join the mainstream of society, and contribute to the development of Chhattisgarh by moving forward on the path of progress. He also highlighted that the Chhattisgarh Government has implemented an excellent surrender policy, which provides for the rehabilitation of every Naxalite who surrenders.

Shri Amit Shah stated that the Chhattisgarh Police has achieved significant success in combating organized crime and narcotics with determination. He highlighted that between January 1, 2024, and September 30, 2024, around 1,100 narcotics cases were registered, leading to the seizure of 21,000 kilograms of cannabis, 6,000 kilograms of opium, and approximately 195,000 tablets of illicit drugs. Additionally, 1,400 individuals were arrested in connection with these cases. He further noted that Chhattisgarh has been at the forefront in the effective implementation of the PITNDPS (Prevention of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act.

Union Home Minister expressed confidence that every officer and personnel of the Chhattisgarh Police will play a pivotal role in realizing the vision of a developed Chhattisgarh and a prosperous Bastar. He further stated that Chhattisgarh’s significant contribution will be etched in golden letters in the journey towards building a developed India by 2047 under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.

Raipur : Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah today attended the closing ceremony of the Bastar Olympics as the chief guest in Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh. On this occasion, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, and several other dignitaries were present. In his address, Shri Amit Shah stated that the historic Bastar Olympics 2024 is coming to a close today. He said that the Bastar Olympics is not merely limited to the 150,000 children present here, but will become a symbol of hope for all seven districts of Bastar. He further mentioned that in coming days the Bastar Olympics willbecome a saga of Bastar’s development and will deal a decisive blow to Naxalism.

Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation said that Bastar is changing today, but when the Bastar Olympics will be held in 2026, we can surely say that our Bastar has changed. He said that these games have initiated the transition from "changing" to "completely changed”. He further mentioned that the positive energy of the Bastar Olympics will prevent millions of tribal youths from straying down the wrong path, connect them with the process of building India, and become a means for the welfare of millions of rural and tribal people. Shri Shah added that the Bastar Olympics will lay the foundation for peace, security, development, and new hopes in the region.

He emphasized that half of the medals won by India in international competitions are brought by our children from tribal families. He expressed confidence that the Bastar Olympics and the development initiated through them will open the horizons of the world for the tribal children of Bastar in the coming days. He said that the wheelchair race of differently abled people affected by Naxal violence will become a symbol of pace of Bastar’s development.

Shri Amit Shah recalled a time when Bastar lacked basic amenities like electricity and water, faced famine, and saw schools being burned and dispensaries and hospitals closed. However, he highlighted that in the past year, the state government has launched a massive campaign to transform the villages of Bastar. He mentioned that although the central government did not receive support from the state government over the last five years, but when his party formed the government, the campaign against Naxalism again intensified. He noted that within just one year, 287 Naxalites were neutralized, nearly 1,000 were arrested, and 837 surrendered.

Union Home Minister urged the Naxalites to abandon the path of violence, join the mainstream of society, and move forward on the path of development, contributing to the progress of Chhattisgarh. He emphasized that the Chhattisgarh government has introduced the most attractive surrender policy in the entire country. Shri Shah further stated that the Chhattisgarh government is committed to implementing over 300 public welfare schemes from both the Government of India and the state government in every village across the state. He highlighted the ‘Niyad Nellanar’ scheme as an initiative aimed at transforming villages into a paradise. He noted that today, schools are operational in Bastar, electricity has been provided, phone connectivity is available, roads are being constructed, drinking water is accessible, and every tribal person receives 5 kg of food grains per month. Additionally, the Modi government is providing free medical treatment worth up to Rs 5 lakh.

Shri Amit Shah highlighted that in the past 10 years, the Modi government has tackled Naxalism on two fronts. On one hand, the security measures against Naxalites involved in violence have been strengthened, effectively curbing their activities. On the other hand, efforts have been made to rehabilitate surrendered Naxalites. He emphasized that the Modi government has also focused on developing Naxalism-affected areas, which had fallen behind in the development race. Because of the efforts of the Modi government, there has been a 73% reduction in the deaths of security forces and a 70% reduction in civilian casualties in areas plagued by Naxalism since 1983. The Home Minister reaffirmed the Modi government's commitment to completely eradicating Naxalism from the country by March 31, 2026.

Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation stated that once Naxalism is eradicated, Bastar will attract more tourists than Kashmir due to its abundant natural beauty. He highlighted that the Modi government is focused on promoting tourism, small-scale industries, and the dairy sector within the cooperative framework in the region. Additionally, the government is working to support tribal farmers by purchasing their paddy at Rs. 3,100 per quintal.

Shri Shah announced that a similar scheme will be introduced soon for the purchase of Tendu leaves, ensuring that farmers are treated fairly and that funds are not diverted to Naxalism. He also mentioned that Prime Minister Modi has approved the construction of 15,000 additional houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for the families of those who surrendered, or were disabled due to Naxal violence, or were killed in Naxal attacks. Of these houses, more than 9,000 houses are being built in Bastar. This, he said, reflects the deep empathy Prime Minister Modi has for the Naxalism-affected areas.

Shri Amit Shah expressed confidence that when the Olympic Games will be held in India in 2036, one of the children present at this Bastar event will win a medal for the country, and the entire nation will be proud. He emphasized that Prime Minister Modi's core mantra is "Sports for All, Sports for Excellence," and the government is committed to realizing this vision in Bastar. Shri Shah assured that Bastar will achieve 100% saturation in development, tourism, peace, and the implementation of all public welfare schemes, and that Chhattisgarh will soon be completely free from Naxalism.

Union Home Minister highlighted that over the past 10 years, Prime Minister Modi has advanced the protection of water, forest, and land, alongside prioritizing security, respect, and inclusive development. He noted that PM Modi has worked tirelessly to establish peace and stability by eradicating Naxalism, and has built museums across the country to honor the sacrifices of hundreds of tribal freedom fighters who gave their lives for the independence struggle.

Shri Shah further stated that Modi ji declared 15 November, the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, as Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas (Tribal Pride Day). He also pointed out that in 2013-2014, the tribal welfare budget was Rs 28,000 crore, but under Prime Minister Modi, it has been increased to Rs 1,33,000 crore for the year 2024-2025. Shri Shah emphasized that the Narendra Modi government at the Centre is fully committed to the development of tribal areas, villages, and tribal youth who have long been left behind in the development race.

Shri Amit Shah stated that in the past, the District Mineral Fund was primarily used for industrial purposes, but under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, a significant portion of this fund has been redirected towards the development of tribal villages. He added that over the last 10 years, an additional Rs. 97,000 crore has been allocated to tribal areas. He highlighted that during this period, 708 Eklavya Model Residential Schools were established at a cost of Rs. 6,400 crore, which is 27 times more than the number built during the previous government's 10-year tenure. Shri Shah also mentioned that the Modi government allocated Rs. 7,000 crore for the Janjatiya Adarsh Gram Yojana, Rs. 15,000 crore for the Prime Minister PVTG Development Mission, and provided comprehensive facilities to 5 crore tribal people across 63,000 villages under the Janjatiya Unnat Gram Yojana.

Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation emphasized that it is our collective responsibility to establish peace in Bastar, foster its development while preserving its natural beauty, and attract tourists from around the world. He stated that this can only be achieved through the construction of roads, the introduction of railways, the provision of electricity and water, and, most importantly, the establishment of peace, which he noted, will only be realized once Naxalism is completely eradicated.

In his address following the meeting, Shri Amit Shah highlighted that in 2019, youth in Kashmir, the Northeast, and Naxalism-affected areas were ruining their lives by taking up arms, engaging in violence, and keeping their regions deprived of development. He explained that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, a decision was made to provide an opportunity for those willing to lay down their arms and reintegrate them into society. Shri Shah shared that from 2019 to 2024, over 9,000 individuals in the Northeast alone have surrendered their weapons.

He also mentioned that many youths in Naxalism-affected areas have similarly joined the mainstream, and now the Government of India is formulating a comprehensive plan for the welfare of these individuals and those suffering from the impact of Naxalism. The Home Minister further revealed that Prime Minister Modi has approved the construction of 15,000 houses in Naxal-affected regions. Additionally, the government is launching a program to establish dairy cooperatives by providing one cow or buffalo to every family in these areas.

Union Home Minister said that after the formation of the government in Chhattisgarh last year, a commitment was made to make the state free from Naxalism. He emphasized that violence is not the solution, and those who have taken up arms must be reintegrated into society. He praised the Chhattisgarh government's surrender policy as one of the best, and expressed the intention to replicate this model nationwide, aiming to rehabilitate the youth who have laid down their arms and help them rejoin the mainstream of society.

Shri Amit Shah urged the youth involved in violence to lay down their arms and embrace the mainstream of society. Speaking about the Bastar Olympics, he highlighted that the talented youth of Bastar represent the future of India. He emphasised that a process should be started to make the children of Bastar capable of winning medals from 2025 onwards till 2036 Olympics.Shri Shah expressed that when a girl from Bastar wins a medal in the 2036 Olympics, it will serve as a powerful response to Naxalism and send a global message that development, not violence, is the path to success.

Union Home Minister said that only a few areas remain affected by Naxalism. He emphasized that those involved in violence are also our own people. He highlighted that the citizens of the state require essential services like schools, dispensaries, hospitals, free food grains, electricity, toilets, and clean water, and it is the responsibility of the Chhattisgarh government to provide these facilities to every village.

Shri Shah further mentioned that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, Bastar is the top priority for all welfare schemes of the Central Government. He assured that those who have laid down their arms and joined the mainstream of society have placed their trust in Prime Minister Modi, and that trust will not be broken. He also expressed confidence that seeing these individuals, many more youths will give up arms and choose the path of peace and development.

Raipur : On Armed Forces Flag Day, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai saluted the martyrs and all the soldiers engaged in the service of the country and said that this day gives us an opportunity to express gratitude to those brave soldiers of our country and their families, who sacrificed their lives for the security and integrity of the nation. It is because of the valor and sacrifice of the brave soldiers that today we are free and living a safe life.

Expressing respect for the country's armies, ex-servicemen and martyrs, he has appealed to the people of the state to contribute as much as possible to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund. The Chief Minister said that Armed Forces Flag Day reminds us that we should also fulfill our responsibilities towards the families of our brave soldiers and ex-servicemen.

The Chief Minister has said that all of you should participate enthusiastically in Flag Day. Whatever amount is collected on Flag Day, it is used in the welfare schemes of our soldiers and their families. I urge all of you to also participate in it and contribute to the service of the nation.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that our armed forces not only protect the country's borders but also stand with us in times of natural disasters, internal crises and any crisis of humanity. The valor and dedication of our soldiers has kept the country safe in every situation. Brigadier Shri Vivek Sharma said that 27 welfare schemes are run from the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund. This year, an amount of Rs 1 crore 5 lakh has been distributed to the families of soldiers and martyrs under various schemes from this fund.

Raipur : As per the wish of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, in order to maintain the smooth system of paddy procurement at the support price in the state, strict monitoring is being done on everything from issuing tokens to farmers to the arrangement of gunny bags, procurement and payment of paddy, lifting of paddy purchased at the centers. Farmers have been given the facility of committee module and token tunhar hath app to apply for token for paddy sale. In case of difficulty in applying for token, farmers can apply for token through operator in the committee. 72,194 bundles of gunny bags are available for paddy procurement in the centers. Rs 11 crore 23 lakh has also been given to Apex Bank for using gunny bags of farmers in special circumstances and payment of Rs 25 per piece of gunny bag.

6728 crore rupees released so far for payment to farmers

It is worth mentioning that paddy is being procured from farmers at the support price since November 14 in the state. Till December 5, a total of 29.22 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been procured in 2739 procurement centers. Out of the total 27.78 lakh registered farmers in the state, so far 6 lakh 15 thousand farmers have sold paddy at the support price. The amount of procured paddy is being transferred regularly to the accounts of the concerned farmers. Marketing Federation has transferred Rs 6727 crore 93 lakh to Apex Bank as support price for the procured paddy. From the point of view of convenience of farmers, Apex Bank has also made arrangements for micro ATMs in the procurement centers.

Facility of token application through operator in the committee

Facility has been provided for farmers to apply for tokens for paddy sale in procurement centers through committee module and token Tuhar Hath app. 40 percent of the total token application has been reserved through committee module and 60 percent through app. Farmers who are facing difficulty in applying for tokens through the app can apply for tokens through operator in the committee. After making necessary entries during application by farmers, the day can be selected for paddy sale in the vacant slot from the date of application till 15 January 2025. Facility of 02 tokens has been provided to small and marginal farmers and 03 tokens to large farmers.

Rs 25 per piece for Kisan gunny bags

As per the new gunny bag policy of the Government of India, paddy procurement is to be done in 50:50 ratio between new and old gunny bags. On the basis of estimated paddy procurement of 160 lakh tonnes in the state, adequate gunny bags have been arranged in all the procurement centres. Miller gunny bags, PDS gunny bags, gunny bags provided by the committee are being used as old gunny bags in the procurement centres. In special circumstances, Kisan gunny bags have also been used, for which an amount of Rs 11 crore 23 lakh has been given to Apex Bank for payment to farmers at the rate of Rs 25 per piece.

72,194 bundles of gunny bags available in paddy procurement centres

A total of 4 lakh bundles of new gunny bags are required for paddy procurement at the support price, against which 3.51 lakh new gunny bags have been received by the state, the remaining gunny bags will be received in the next 15 to 20 days. So far, 32392 bundles of PDS gunny bags, 23078 bundles of Miller gunny bags and 10176 bundles of Kisan gunny bags have been used in paddy procurement. 18985 bundles of PDS gunny bags and 54209 bundles of Miller gunny bags are available for use in procurement centres. At present, there is no shortage of gunny bags in any procurement centre of the state.

865 applications for custom milling registration

The lifting and milling of paddy being procured in Kharif marketing year 2024-25 is also being done in parallel. In the procurement centers where paddy is being stored in excess of the buffer, paddy is being transported to the nearest collection center by issuing transport orders. So far, transport orders for 2.5 lakh tonnes of paddy have been issued. 865 applications have been received from the millers for registration. 252 rice millers have been registered for custom milling. DO of 1296 tonnes has been issued to the millers.

33,054 quintals of paddy seized so far

Strict monitoring is being done on illegal transportation of paddy and chaos in the state. 3305 cases of illegal paddy have been registered in the state and 33,054 quintals of paddy have been seized. Physical verification is being done by the nodal officer to stop recycling in the procurement centers. 273 check posts have been established in the border districts and action is being taken on cases of illegal transportation of paddy.

There are abundant reserves of minerals here, favorable industrial environment, as well as the new Industrial Development Policy 2024-30 of the state has been prepared after discussing with the representatives of the industry and business world. In this new policy, the process of setting up industries has been simplified and many provisions have been included to encourage the establishment of industries. The complexities of investment are no longer there in Chhattisgarh. The single window system has made everything very simple. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said this while addressing the "Stakeholder Connect Workshop with stakeholders regarding Chhattisgarh's Industrial Development Policy 2024-30" jointly organized by NITI Aayog and Chhattisgarh Government in Nava Raipur today.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given the target of developed India by the year 2047. For this, we have to build a developed Chhattisgarh. The industry of Chhattisgarh will also make an important contribution in the construction of a developed India. By promoting industrial investment in various sectors for the development of Chhattisgarh, employment opportunities will be provided to as many people of Chhattisgarh as possible.

Presiding over the program, Industry Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan said that the new industrial policy of Chhattisgarh has been made under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and taking inspiration from Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Suggestions from industrialists have been included in preparing the new policy. This policy will not only bring investment in the state, new industries will be established, as well as people of the state will get employment.

Niti Aayog's Senior Advisor Mr. Sanjit Singh said that Chhattisgarh has become a favorite state for investors. Chhattisgarh's new industrial policy is being praised everywhere. This policy will give a new direction to sustainable industrial development in the state. A good effort has been made to strengthen MSME industries in the new policy. An incentive scheme has been prepared for investment in new areas. Employment generation is an important aspect in this industrial policy.

In the program, Chief Minister Shri Sai provided Intent to Invest Letters to 27 big industrial groups of the state for investment of Rs 32 thousand 225 crore in relation to the proposal of new capital investment. These will include investment in the core sector of the state as well as new investment areas like IT, AI, Data Center, Ethanol, Electronics, Electrical, Compressed Bio Gas. These include Shivalik Engineering, Maa Durga Iron and Steel, ABREL Green Energy, RAG Ferro Alloys, Reliance Bio Energy, Yash Fans and Appliances, Shanti Greens Biofuel, Rack Bank Data Center etc.

Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain said that the new industrial policy of Chhattisgarh focuses on employment generation, export promotion and simplification of the process of approval and establishment of industries. Secretary of Commerce and Industry Department Shri Rajat Kumar said that provisions have been made in the new industrial development policy to accelerate the priorities of the state and industrial development in the state.

In the panel discussion organized in the program, industrial infrastructure, policy support and reduction of formal requirements for setting up industries were discussed in employment generating industrial development. 15 thousand new houses approved in urban bodies

Raipur : Due to the rapid completion of houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) in Chhattisgarh under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and good performance in the scheme, 15 thousand new houses have been approved for the state by the Government of India. The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has approved 15 thousand new houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0 in Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Shri Manohar Lal for the approval of new houses.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai thanked the Central Government for the approval of 15 thousand new houses for cities and said that the dream of every poor person to have a permanent house in the state will soon be fulfilled. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, construction of houses is being completed rapidly in both rural and urban areas. The government will ensure that the benefits of the scheme reach every person standing at the last end.

These houses have been approved for all the cities of the state due to the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and the efforts of Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Shri Arun Saw.

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India has sent a letter of in-principle approval of 15 thousand new houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0 to the Secretary of Urban Administration and Development Department of the State Government. The letter also mentions the approval of 15 thousand new houses by the Central Government to Chhattisgarh by March 2025 as well as the quick implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) in the state behind the approval of these new houses. While approving housing for all the urban bodies of the state, the ministry has also sent its list. The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has directed the state government to send a formal proposal to the Government of India after examining the eligible beneficiaries in accordance with the guidelines of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0.

The implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0 has been started by the Government of India from 1 September 2024 under the 'Housing for All' mission in urban areas. Under this, financial assistance will be provided to the urban poor and middle class families of weaker income groups, lower income groups and middle income groups for construction, purchase or rent of houses at affordable rates. Implementing the scheme in all urban bodies in Chhattisgarh, the beneficiary survey work (Rapid Assessment Survey) has been started on the unified web portal of the Government of India from 15 November. During the survey, information of the beneficiaries is being recorded on the portal of the Government of India.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Saw expressed happiness over the approval of new houses and said that the Chhattisgarh government is committed to provide housing to every eligible family. He has directed all the urban bodies to extend the benefits of the scheme to maximum beneficiaries. Shri Saw has directed not to cancel the applications immediately due to lack of mandatory documents during the ongoing beneficiary survey. Along with giving sufficient time to the concerned families to complete the documents, he has also asked the urban bodies to coordinate with the Revenue Department and make every possible effort to provide the necessary documents. On the instructions of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sao, the Secretary of the Urban Administration Department has also written a letter to the Revenue Department to issue the pending caste certificate and income certificate of the beneficiaries in the revenue offices on priority.

Raipur : We have transferred the tenth installment of love money of one thousand rupees under Mahtari Vandan Yojana to your account today for our 70 lakh mothers and sisters. The blessings of our mothers and sisters give me the strength to work. The sparkle of self-respect seen in the eyes of our mothers and sisters is our biggest satisfaction. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said this while addressing the function organized on the occasion of inauguration and Bhoomi Pujan of development works worth about 137 crore rupees in Raigarh district today. On this occasion, on the request of Chief Minister Shri Sai, Saraswati Yadav transferred an amount of 652 crore rupees as the 10th installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana to 70 lakh women of the state by pressing the button.

In his address, Chief Minister Shri Sai mentioned village Dansara of Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district and said that the mothers and sisters here thought that a grand temple of Shri Ramlala has been built in Ayodhya Dham. We should also build a temple of Ramlala next to the Hanuman temple of the village. These women started the construction of the temple by collecting donations from the amount received from the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. There are so many stories of mothers and sisters dreaming and their dreams being fulfilled. I often ask mothers and sisters about this and every time their words touch my heart.

The Chief Minister said that yesterday I met the toppers of the PSC exam in Raipur. There was a sparkle of confidence in the eyes of those youth. They told me that their confidence was broken due to irregularities in the PSC exam, but when our government came, we worked for transparency in the PSC exam. Corruption in competitive exams not only ruins the future of a talented youth, but also destroys the structure of the civil service. When we gave the responsibility of investigating corruption to the CBI, their confidence was restored. Today we have also performed the Bhoomi Pujan of the Nalanda campus to be built with an amount of Rs 42 crore 56 lakh, which will greatly benefit the youth appearing for PSC and other competitive exams. We are starting libraries like Nalanda in the capital Raipur in 13 urban bodies of the state. There will be a collection of thousands of books here. There will be WiFi facility. Youth preparing for all kinds of competitive exams will be able to get study material here.

The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has set the goal of building a developed India in the year 2047. We have also prepared a vision document to develop Chhattisgarh by the year 2047. The vision document focuses on the rapid industrialization of the state. We have made a new industrial policy for the rapid development of industries. Due to this, entrepreneurs in Chhattisgarh will have great convenience in starting new ventures. Connectivity is the first condition for improving the industrial environment. In the next two years, the road network of our state will be at par with any developed country. Surguja and Bastar have got air connectivity. The way infrastructure work has been done in the railways in a decade, it will not only provide convenience to passengers in the future, but the movement of freight will also become very easy, which is most important for increasing business.

The Chief Minister said that now is the time to buy paddy. Our government has also taken full care of the welfare of the farmers. We are buying paddy at Rs 3100 per quintal and 21 acres per quintal. Last time we had bought a record 145 lakh metric tonnes of paddy. This time the target is 160 lakh metric tonnes of paddy. Our government is about to complete one year. The very next day of taking oath, we had approved 18 lakh houses and since then the process of fulfilling Modi ji's guarantee has been going on continuously and now we have fulfilled most of the promises of Modi ji's guarantee within a year. Today we have honored such beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, who have completed the work of their houses.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Saw said that today Vishnu's good governance started in Chhattisgarh. All the guarantees of Modi are being fulfilled in Chhattisgarh. Development works are being completed rapidly in villages and cities. He told that an amount of Rs 100 crore has been released for urban development in Raigarh district. Works worth Rs 60 crore have been approved in Raigarh Municipal Corporation itself.

Finance Minister Shri OP Choudhary said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, work is being done towards completing the work of canals from Kelo Dam to provide irrigation facilities to the farmers in Raigarh district, for this, provision of funds has been made in the budget. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Sai, the Raigarh region is being developed rapidly. He told that Horticulture College is going to open in Raigarh. The Nalanda campus will be constructed here from CSR funds, which will benefit the students here.

The library will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities

The fully equipped Nalanda campus at Marine Drive in Raigad will be a state-of-the-art library. It will be the largest library in the state, it will have all the facilities that are usually found in libraries of big cities and universities. Here students will get such an eco-system of study and teaching, so that they can prepare themselves for competition at the national level along with the state. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai along with 5 school students inaugurated the virtual tour video of the Nalanda campus to be built in Raigad by pressing the button.

The Nalanda campus will have a smart library and study zone. Along with a collection of thousands of books, there will also be a facility to access international level e-books. The focus will be on smart learning. Students will also get 24x7 WiFi and internet facilities here. Along with civil services, there will also be books for medical, engineering, CLAT preparation as well as Maths Olympiad. Career guidance seminars will be organized. To prepare children for admission in Navodaya Vidyalaya, Sainik School after 5th standard, a Kids Study Zone and Kids Library will be set up separately where books and study material will be available according to their syllabus. Raipur: Citizens of four cities of Chhattisgarh, Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg-Bhilai and Korba are soon going to get eco-friendly, affordable, reliable and smooth transport facility. Under the Pradhan Mantri e-Bus Seva, a total of 240 e-buses will be operated in these four cities. On the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the Government of India has approved 100 e-buses for Raipur, 50 each for Bilaspur and Durg-Bhilai and 40 e-buses for Korba under the Pradhan Mantri e-Bus Seva. For this at the state level, SUDA has been made the nodal agency and the Urban Public Service Society formed in the respective districts has been made the implementing agency.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that the introduction of e-bus service will improve air quality and protect the environment by reducing carbon emissions in the cities of Chhattisgarh. With less energy consumption and better fuel efficiency, citizens will get comfortable transportation facilities. It will be developed as an alternative or supporting means of metro in cities, so that people get affordable, reliable and easy transportation facilities.

Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Shri Arun Saw said that the Prime Minister E-Bus Service Scheme has been started by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs to improve the infrastructure of public transport in urban areas. In this innovative scheme of public transport, the central government will provide financial assistance to the cities for the purchase and operation of buses. A large part of it will also be spent for infrastructure development like bus depots and BTM power infrastructure in cities. He said that under the scheme, three types of buses will be run - standard, medium and mini. The number of buses has been determined on the basis of the population of the cities.

He informed that the state government has accelerated the preparations for putting these e-buses on the roads and has approved a total of Rs 67 crore 40 lakh for bus depots and BTM power infrastructure in the four cities and has also given permission to invite tenders. The State Urban Development Agency of the Urban Administration and Development Department has approved the amount for both these works and asked the Urban Public Service Society formed separately for operating the e-bus service in the four cities to invite tenders.

SUDA has issued administrative approval of Rs 14 crore 33 lakh to Raipur Urban Public Service Society for the civil infrastructure of the bus depot to start bus service in Raipur. This includes a central share of Rs 8 crore 60 lakh and a state share of Rs 5 crore 73 lakh. SUDA has also approved Rs 12 crore 90 lakh for BTM power infrastructure. Administrative approval of Rs 6 crore 73 lakh has been issued by SUDA to Durg-Bhilai Urban Public Service Society for civil infrastructure of bus depot for e-buses in Durg-Bhilai. This includes central share of Rs 4 crore 4 lakh and state share of Rs 2 crore 69 lakh. Rs 11 crore 2 lakh has been sanctioned for BTM power infrastructure there.

Bilaspur Urban Public Service Society has been granted administrative approval of Rs 8 crore 37 lakh for the civil infrastructure of the bus depot in Bilaspur. This includes a central share of Rs 5 crore 2 lakh and a state share of Rs 3 crore 35 lakh. Rs 3 crore 8 lakh has been sanctioned for BTM power infrastructure. Similarly, Korba Urban Public Service Society has been granted administrative approval of Rs 7 crore 19 lakh for the civil infrastructure of the bus depot in Korba. This includes a central share of Rs 4 crore 31 lakh and a state share of Rs 2 crore 88 lakh. Rs 3 crore 78 lakh has been sanctioned for BTM power infrastructure.

Cities have been divided into four categories, buses have been sanctioned on the basis of population

Under the Pradhan Mantri e-Bus Service, cities have been divided into four categories on the basis of population. Cities with a population of 20 lakh to 40 lakh are eligible for 150 e-buses, cities with a population of 10 to 20 lakh and 5 to 10 lakh are eligible for 100 e-buses each, and cities with a population of less than 5 lakh are eligible for 50 e-buses. On this basis, Raipur has been approved for 100 medium e-buses, Durg-Bhilai for 50 medium e-buses, Bilaspur for 35 medium and 15 mini e-buses, and Korba for 20 medium and 20 mini e-buses. As per the guidelines of the scheme, the purchase of buses and the selection of the operating agency will be done by the Government of India.

On the instructions of Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, contract appointment orders of a total of 83 medical officers have been issued in Raipur, Durg, Bilaspur and Surguja divisions.

Rural and urban primary health centers, community health centers and district hospitals got new medical officers.

Raipur : To strengthen health services in the state and ensure availability of adequate human resources for the delivery of health services, posting orders have been issued providing appointment of medical officers on contractual posts under the National Health Mission under the instructions of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and guidance of Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal.

31 medical officers have been appointed in government hospitals of Raipur division of the state, 22 medical officers in Bilaspur division, 03 medical officers in Surguja division and 27 medical officers in Durg division. Chief Minister gave instructions in the meeting of Chhattisgarh State Road Safety Council

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai reviewed in detail the road safety scenario of the state and the measures to control road accidents in the meeting of Chhattisgarh State Road Safety Council held in his residential office today. He said in the meeting that to control road accidents, the use of helmets for two-wheeler drivers and seat belts for four-wheeler drivers and strict adherence to road safety and traffic rules while driving should be ensured. For this, a public awareness campaign should be run effectively.

To prevent road accidents, Chief Minister Shri Sai directed to expedite the work of repairing black spots on roads, to hold regular meetings of District Road Safety Committee, to complete the work of Trauma Stabilization Units under construction for the treatment of people injured in road accidents as soon as possible. In the meeting, the Chief Minister launched the "Bus Sangwari App" prepared by the Transport Department and released the poster published by the Transport Department on road safety.

It was informed in the meeting that the School Education Department has included chapters related to road traffic rules in the syllabus in the textbooks of the State Council of Educational Research from class I to class X in the state schools. It was informed in the meeting that electronic surveillance of traffic system is being done in Raipur, Bilaspur and Nava Raipur. This system is partially operational in Bhilai and Durg. From September 2023 to October 2024, improvement works of 101 black spots and 748 junctions have been completed. It was informed in the meeting that the possibility of death in road accidents can be reduced by 40 percent by using helmets and seat belts.

Officials said that more than 6 lakh 70 thousand challan actions have been taken by the Transport Department and more than 4 lakh 87 thousand by the Police Department for violation of traffic rules. From 01 January 2023 to 31 October 2024, the licenses of 7826 drivers have been suspended. Funds have been approved for the construction of trauma stabilization units in 8 accident-prone areas Rajnandgaon, Dharsiwa Abhanpur, Pali, Simga, Sukma, Bemetara and Pathalgaon. Vehicle location tracking devices have been installed in 14 thousand 261 vehicles, speed governors in more than 72 thousand vehicles and panic buttons in 2200 buses. In the meeting, the identification of black spots, improvement action, traffic indicators on roads, removal of hoardings, removal of encroachment from footpath, parking, service lane etc. were reviewed.

Commissioners and Inspector Generals of Police of all divisions joined the meeting virtually. Chairman of Inter-Departmental Lead Agency and AIG Traffic Mr. Sanjay Sharma gave a presentation in the meeting.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai has said that under the double engine government, the train of development is now running at a fast pace in Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Shri Sai reiterated the resolve for the rapid development of Chhattisgarh during his train journey from Raipur to Bilaspur yesterday.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said that the positive changes that have taken place in the railway sector in the last 10 years have not only increased passenger facilities but have also given impetus to the Indian economy. He said that modernization of railways has created new employment opportunities. With the expansion of the railway network, rural and remote areas are being connected to big cities, which is encouraging business and tourism.

The Chief Minister said that high-speed trains like Vande Bharat, Tejas and Gatiman have reduced travel time considerably. The Chief Minister said that railway officials told him that modern trains have air-conditioned coaches, comfortable seats, Wi-Fi, onboard catering facilities. Stations are now equipped with modern facilities, which have improved the passenger experience. He said that e-ticketing and digital payments have made the booking process simpler and faster. Initiatives like solar power and bio-toilets are helping in preserving the environment. Indian Railways is now moving towards the use of modern technological measures like Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics and Automation, to improve efficiency and quality of service.

During this discussion, the Chief Minister said that the intention of the Chhattisgarh government is to move forward rapidly towards the proper use of rail transport for the economic progress of the state. In this sequence, with the cooperation of the central government, work is going on rapidly on many rail projects and there are many such projects, which are being prepared to be expanded. He has said that approval has been received from the Railway Ministry for the Dongargarh-Kawardha-Katghora rail line project. This project will be about 295 km long and its estimated cost is Rs 4021 crore. This rail line will be constructed by Chhattisgarh Railway Corporation. At present, an amount of Rs 300 crore has been approved for land acquisition and initial construction works. In this rail line, 12 stations will be constructed between Dongargarh to Kawardha and 15 stations between Kawardha to Katghora. This project will not only increase passenger facilities in the area but will also provide new opportunities for transportation of minerals and employment.

He said that recently the Government of India and the Ministry of Railways have approved several new rail projects in Chhattisgarh, which aim to strengthen the state's infrastructure and increase connectivity. Korba-Ambikapur new rail line is a 180 km long project, for which Rs 16.75 crore has been sanctioned for survey and DPR. This project will accelerate development in the Surguja region. Similarly, Rs 12.25 crore has been sanctioned for the survey of 490 km long rail line from Gadchiroli-Bijapur-Bacheli. This project will help connect remote areas with better education, health and employment opportunities. The Sardega-Bhalumuda double line 37 km long project will improve connectivity between Odisha and Chhattisgarh. There is a provision of Rs 1360 crore for this project. DPR of Ambikapur-Barwadih, Kharsia-Naya Raipur-Parmalkasa, Raoghat-Jagdalpur and Dharamjaigarh-Pathalgaon-Lohardaga rail projects is being prepared in Chhattisgarh. The survey work being done by the railways for the Dharamjaigarh-Lohardaga project is in the final stage.

The Chief Minister said that these projects will not only enhance passenger connectivity but will also facilitate transportation of industrial and mineral resources. Apart from these, many other small rail lines and multi-tracking projects are also in the pipeline in the state, which will strengthen regional development and supply chain. He said that wherever the need for rail transport is felt in the development of the state, rapid initiatives will be taken in that direction. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that this trip gave me a wonderful opportunity to know and understand a lot. We will take necessary steps with the cooperation of the Central Government to increase the facilities of the passengers and solve their problems.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday met Union Civil Aviation Minister Shri Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu at Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan, New Delhi. The meeting focused on enhancing air connectivity in the state and developing regional airports. The Union Minister gave his nod to commence international air services from Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur at the earliest. In addition, steps will be initiated to develop a cargo hub at Raipur Airport. Consent has been received to initiate air services connecting Raipur Airport with Patna and Ranchi.

Chief Minister requested granting international airport status to Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur, adding that Chhattisgarh holds significant potential for international air services. He stated that this move would boost the state's economic development and enhance global connectivity. Considering the growing international passenger traffic in Chhattisgarh, the Chief Minister discussed the need for direct flights from Raipur to Singapore and Dubai, noting that these routes have substantial passenger demand and would be commercially viable. The Union Aviation Minister has agreed to the proposal to commence international air services from Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur at the earliest.

Shri Sai also pointed out the absence of a major cargo facility center in the state and proposed transforming Raipur Airport into a central cargo hub. He stated that this development would boost the transportation of agricultural and horticultural products. The Union Minister assured prompt action on the proposal.

During the meeting, a proposal was made to upgrade Bilaspur Airport to the 3C IFR category. Chief Minister Shri Sai urged the swift completion of the installation process for the Radio Navigation System DVOR to address this requirement. In response, the Union Minister directed officials to expedite the process, considering the challenges currently faced in night landings at Bilaspur Airport.

Chief Minister also called for the introduction of new flights connecting Ambikapur Airport with major cities, including Raipur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Ayodhya. He added that such services would significantly benefit the region, given its cultural and mineral wealth. The Union Minister assured a positive initiative in response to this demand.

In the meeting, Chief Minister also requested the restoration of financial assistance for RCS flights at Jagdalpur and Bilaspur airports, stating that enhanced connectivity on these routes would support regional development. He mentioned that the Indigo Airlines flight service between Jagdalpur and Raipur was discontinued due to low passenger numbers. Urging for its timely reinstatement, Shri Sai highlighted the immense tourism potential in Bastar, creating a strong demand for air connectivity on this route. The Union Minister assured a positive initiative on the other proposals as well. Chief Minister's Secretary Shri Rahul Bhagat along with Investment Commissioner of Chhattisgarh in New Delhi, Smt. Ritu Sain were also present at the meeting.

People throng to IITF amphitheatre in large numbers to see Chhattisgarh Day celebration

Raipur : It was an evening filled with Chhattisgarh’s rich art and culture in India International Trade Fair (IITF) at Pragati Maidan. Artists from various districts of the state mesmerized hundreds of audiences with their performances at Amphitheatre here on the occasion of Chhattisgarh Day celebration. Chief Minister in his address, described the state as "land of possibilities" and said that Chhattisgarh is now playing an important role in the construction of "strong India".

Several effective steps have been taken by the government to promote infrastructure development, innovation in agriculture, and industries in the state. Our aim is to make the state a pioneer in the field of education, health, and employment. Chhattisgarh is set to create a global identity with its cultural heritage and a combination of modern development.

On this occasion, Chhattisgarh's Investment Commissioner posted in Delhi Ritu Sain, Secretary to the Chief Minister, Rahul Bhagat, Secretary of Culture Department, Anbalgan P, Director of Culture and Official Language Department, Vivek Acharya, General Manager of Minor Forest Produce Manivasan S, General Manager of CSIDC, Vishwesh Kumar, Public Relations Commissioner, Ravi Mittal, Resident Commissioner, Shruti Singh and other dignitaries were present at the function.

The chief minister visited the Chhattisgarh Pavilion and interacted with craftsmen and artisans. Chhattisgarh pavilion, on the first floor of Hall No. 5, is showcasing its spectrum of products including handlooms and handicrafts at the 43nd edition of the India International Trade Fair (IITF) at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.

A total of 11 stalls have been put up for display in the area measuring 500 sq feet, depicting this year’s theme ‘Developed Chhattisgarh @ 2047’. The pavilion showcases the state's multifaceted growth and displays their industrial, agricultural, herbal and handicraft products as per the speciality of each region.

The cultural event at the amphitheatre started with lamp lighting followed by dance performances by cultural troops. Spectators appreciated the performances with a big round of applause. Gaura-Gauri dance was also performed. A passionate performance of Bhojli dance was the next to cast a spell on the entire audience. The group showed ‘Raut Naach’ and ‘Karma dance’ especially performed to mark the beginning of spring season.

The group of women artists showed folk dance ‘Sua Naacha’ or parrot dance especially performed during the Diwali festival. It is a symbolic form of dancing related to worship. Dancers keep a parrot in a bamboo-pot and form a circle around it. Then performers sing and dance, moving around it with clapping. This is one of the main dance forms of tribal women of Chhattisgarh.

The melodious song and the sound of clapping combined to create an enchanting atmosphere. The rhythm and melody of the song accompanied with the dance created a soothing affect. The group of men artists showed folk dance ‘Panthi’ dance, one of the most popular ritual of Satnami community. The dance commenced with slow movements to the accompaniment of a song led by the leader of the group. The tempo increased gradually and created an enchanting atmosphere.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai praised the CRPF jawans for their remarkable achievements in combating Naxalism over the past 11 months, highlighting that their success has garnered nationwide recognition. He acknowledged their sacrifices in the service of Bastar’s development, stating that by staying away from their families and enduring hardships, they have earned a permanent place in the hearts of the region's tribal communities. Chief Minister was addressing jawans at the Sedwa camp of the Central Reserve Police Force in Bastar district. The jawans greeted him warmly, expressing surprise and happiness at his sudden visit to the camp.

During his interaction with the jawans, Shri Sai shared, “When I visited Chitrakote for the meeting of the Bastar Area Tribal Development Authority, I was eager to meet all of you. Your significant role in the successes achieved in the Naxal operations over the last 11 months is being praised across the country. I salute your courage. Whenever I meet Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, he always mentions the progress Chhattisgarh is making in the fight against Naxalism. I would also like to acknowledge the constant guidance and support of Home Minister Shri Amit Shah in these operations."

Shri Sai pointed out that the state government’s goal of eliminating Naxalism from Bastar by 2026 is fully supported by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Home Minister Shri Amit Shah.

Chief Minister noted that in Bastar, over 200 Naxalites have been killed in recent operations, and more than 740 Maoist cadres have surrendered, renouncing violence and reintegrating into the democratic fold. He expressed confidence that the government’s rehabilitation policies would encourage even more Naxalites to abandon violence and surrender in the future. In response to a request from the security personnel to stay overnight at the camp, Shri Sai spent the night there, further demonstrating his support for the forces.
