Raipur: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai extended warm wishes and greetings to all the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Lord Mahavir Swami, the 24th Tirthankar of Jainism.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said in his message that the message of great values like truth, non-violence, compassion and non-possession given by Lord Mahavir through his life is very relevant for today's social and moral life.

Shri Sai said that Lord Mahavir described non-violence as the highest religion and made kindness and love the basis of life. He showed the path of harmony, co-existence and peace. His teachings are not only the basis of religious faith, but they are an inspiration giving a new direction to humanity.

The Chief Minister urged the people of the state to imbibe the teachings of Lord Mahavir in their lives and always be ready to help the poor, the needy and the weaker sections of the society.

Instructions were given on effective implementation of new criminal laws and quality of crime investigation

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today reviewed the work of the Home Department at the Secretariat Mahanadi Bhawan, Nava Raipur. Chief Minister Shri Sai directed to give top priority to the effective implementation of the new criminal law Indian Justice Code (BNS) implemented by the Government of India. He said that these laws will not only bring reforms in the justice system, but will also help in creating fear in criminals and confidence in the general public.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that effective understanding of these laws and practical training is essential for the police force, prosecution officers and other related personnel. He directed that workshops and seminars should be organized in a phased manner in all the districts, in which training should be given through case study and mock trial.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister laid special emphasis on making the crime investigation system more effective, scientific and authentic. He said that in criminal cases, not only arrests should be made, but investigation should be completed on the basis of accurate and strong evidence so that the accused can be punished. The Chief Minister also said that investigation officers should be made proficient in the use of modern research techniques, digital forensics, CCTNS system and scientific equipment.

Providing timely justice to the victims is the priority of the state government and for this, transparency, promptness and technical efficiency in the investigation process are essential. In view of the increasing challenge of cyber crimes, Chief Minister Shri Sai also directed to make the cyber cell technically capable and to run a campaign to connect the public with cyber awareness.

On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Manoj Pingua, Director General of Police Shri Arun Dev Gautam, Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary Shri Rahul Bhagat and other senior officials were present.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai gave guidelines to the collectors regarding the organization of Sushasan Tihar

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai has issued a letter to all the District Collectors and directed to organize “Sushasan Tihar-2025”. This Tihar will be organized in three phases with the aim of strong establishment of good governance in the state, quick solution of public problems, review of public welfare schemes and strengthening public dialogue.

Chief Minister Shri Sai clarified that the government is committed to the establishment of transparency, effectiveness and public-friendly administration at every level of governance. Through this Tihar, the government-administration will directly connect with the general public and solve their problems in a timely manner.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that our government is continuously working to establish good governance in the state. Effective initiatives are being taken at the government-administration level to ensure transparency in government work at every level of governance, effective implementation of government schemes and programs, and prompt benefit of these to reach those sections of the society for whom the schemes are being run.

Chief Minister Shri Sai has written a letter to all the District Collectors and given necessary guidelines regarding the conduct of Sushasan Tihar-2025. He has said that the objectives of organizing “Sushasan Tihar-2025” are to ensure timely resolution of problems of the general public, review the implementation of public welfare schemes of the government and to speed up development works as well as establish direct communication with the general public, public representatives and various social organizations.

Sushasan Tihar-2025 to be organized in three phases

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Sushasan Tihar-2025 will be organized in three phases. In the first phase, applications will be received from the general public from 08 April to 11 April 2025. In the second phase, the applications received will be resolved within about a month. In the third and final phase, Samadhan camps will be organized between 05 May to 31 May 2025. Detailed guidelines are being issued and a portal is being created to make this festival well organized and effective. Innovations can also be done according to the traditions, needs and circumstances of each district, so that this festival becomes more public-friendly and effective.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has directed all the District Collectors that applications will be received from the general public regarding their problems from 08 April to 11 April 2025 at the Gram Panchayat headquarters and urban body offices from 10 am to 5 pm. Samadhan boxes will be kept at these places, so that people can write their problems and complaints without hesitation and put them in it. Arrangement of Samadhan boxes should also be made at the district and development block headquarters level to receive applications.

Applications can also be collected in haat bazaars as per requirement. There will also be a system in the portal to receive online applications. Common Service Centre can also be used to receive online applications. Information about giving a code to each application will be available on the portal. Blank application forms in the prescribed format (with village-wise/urban body-wise code) can be printed and made available to the villagers.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that each application will be registered in the portal and uploaded online, along with this, an acknowledgement will be given to the applicant. The Collector can put officers/employees on duty as per requirement to provide assistance to the public in writing the application. These dates should be widely publicized through various mediums.

Resolution of applications

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that all the received applications will be scanned and uploaded in the software and sent online and physically to the officers of the concerned district/district/urban body. The concerned department/officer will ensure the resolution of these applications in about a month. Applications related to demand will be resolved on the basis of availability of budget. The quality of resolution of these applications should be analyzed at the district and state level.

Organization of Samadhan Camp

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that during 05 May to 31 May 2025, Samadhan camps will be organized in every 08 to 15 panchayats, in which applicants will be informed about the status of their applications. Samadhan camps will also be organized in urban bodies as per the need. Information about the date of organizing the camps should be given to the applicants through SMS and through the receipt of the application, along with this, these dates should also be widely publicized. The applications received in these camps should also be entered in the portal and the applications which can be resolved in the camp should be done in the camp, the remaining applications should be resolved in one month and the applicants should be informed.

Information about various public welfare schemes will be given in the camps and application forms/documents of beneficiary-oriented schemes will be made available. A block level officer should be made in-charge for each camp, who will ensure proper operation of the camp. All the officers of the block and section level will be present in the Samadhan camps, some officers from the district level will also be present. Similar arrangements should be made in the camps of urban bodies.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that he himself, Deputy Chief Ministers, Ministers, Chief Secretary, Secretary-in-charge and State Government officials will also attend some camps and meet the applicants there and get information about their problems and solutions. Information technology will be used extensively to make this festival more effective. Proper training will be arranged for taking applications, their entry, monitoring and solution processes.

Public representatives will participate

The District Collector will ensure that local MPs, MLAs and other public representatives participate in this festival and necessary information is made available to them on time.

Surprise inspection of development works

The Chief Minister said that he will conduct surprise inspection of the implementation of various development works and schemes going on in the state. Feedback will be taken about the benefits people are getting from various schemes. Ministers-in-charge, Secretaries-in-charge will also adopt this process at their level.

Organizing a review meeting

After noon, there will be a meeting with the officials at the district headquarters, in which the status of redressal of applications received in the Samadhan camps and the implementation of various schemes and projects will be reviewed, as well as the upcoming action plan will be discussed. Point-wise review sheets will be provided from the state level.

Press conference and meeting with various organizations and citizens

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that after the review meeting or at an appropriate time, he will address a press conference and meet various organizations and citizens.

Kudargarh Mandir Dham included in 'Prasad Yojana': Central government will provide help for development

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has said that Kudargarh Mahotsav is a unique confluence of faith, devotion and tradition. The state government is making planned efforts to promote tourism in the state. On the proposal of the state government, Kudargarh Mandir Dham, the main center of faith of this region, has been included in the 'Prasad Yojana' of the Central Government. This will provide help from the Central Government for the development here. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said this while addressing the closing ceremony of Kudargarh Mahotsav organized on the occasion of Chaitra Navratri at Kudargarh Dham in Surajpur district today.

Hospital to start in Kudargarh Dham

Chief Minister Shri Sai performed the Bhoomi Pujan of the ropeway to be built in Kudargarh Dham. This ropeway will be ready in two years. On this occasion, he made many important announcements for the development of Kudargarh Dham. He announced construction works worth Rs 1 crore 50 lakh including Rs 50 lakh each for construction of administrative building and fully equipped community building and Rs 50 lakh for construction of stairs and drinking water facility in Gadhwatiyan Mata Mandir. During this, contracts were signed for ropeway construction. Apart from this, the Chief Minister also announced construction of a hospital in the Dham, so that devotees and local people can get better health facilities.

Bhoomi Pujan-Foundation stone laying of works worth more than Rs 105 crore

Chief Minister Shri Sai, while addressing the devotees, prayed to Mata Kudargadhi for peace, prosperity and well-being of the state and wished the devotees a Happy Chaitra Navratri. On this occasion, he performed Bhoomi Pujan and inaugurated 43 development works worth more than Rs 105 crore. Chief Minister Shri Sai flagged off the Sushasan Rath for Bhatgaon Assembly constituency, which will promote the schemes of the state government.

Rs 148 crore approved under Swadesh Darshan Yojana for Bhoramdev temple

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that religious tourism is being promoted in the state. On the proposal of the state government, the Government of India has approved Rs 148 crore under the Swadesh Darshan Yojana for the development of the famous Bhoramdev temple of Chhattisgarh. A plan has been made on the lines of Char Dham for the development of five Shaktipeeths of the state, Kudargarh of Surajpur, Chandrahasini of Chandrapur, Maa Mahamaya of Ratanpur, Maa Bamleshwari of Dongargarh and Maa Danteshwari Shaktipeeth of Dantewada. Tirtha Darshan Yojana has been restarted by the state government.

Under this scheme, senior citizens above 60 years of age as well as widows, abandoned women and disabled people will get the benefit of pilgrimage. He said that eligible citizens were appealed to take full advantage of this scheme. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that under Shri Ramlala Ayodhya Dham Darshan Yojana, more than 22 thousand devotees visited Ramlala. He said that during the Kumbh in Prayagraj, a pavilion of Chhattisgarh was built, where free arrangements were made for accommodation and food for the devotees of Chhattisgarh.

Chief Minister Shri Sai, while mentioning the efforts being made towards making the state Naxal-free, said that along with rehabilitation schemes in Naxal-affected areas, inclusive development is also being promoted. Basic facilities like education, health, roads, electricity, drinking water are being provided in the interior areas. People are being linked to employment. Under the Niyad Nellnar Scheme in Bastar region, along with basic facilities in Naxal-affected areas, villagers are being benefited from the schemes of the Central and State Government. Programs like Bastar Olympics and Bastar Pandum were also organized here.

On this occasion, Agriculture Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam, Food Minister Shri Dayal Das Baghel, Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade and MP Shri Chintamani Maharaj also addressed the gathering. While wishing the people present on Navratri, they wished for the prosperity, peace and progress of the state. Also, while congratulating for the construction of ropeway, he called it a historic initiative.

He said that the system of e-office has increased administrative efficiency as well as transparency. Big companies like Adani power, Jindal and NTPC to invest in thermal and nuclear power

New Delhi : Chhattisgarh has attracted investments worth Rs3,01,086 crore through various industrial proposals in the energy sector at the ‘Chhattisgarh Energy Investors Summit 2025’. These investment proposals have been made under different schemes of the state government, aiming to boost the state's energy infrastructure. This includes investments in nuclear, thermal, solar, and pumped storage power generation projects, which will not only benefit industries but also provide the common people with affordable and uninterrupted electricity.

“This investment in the energy sector in Chhattisgarh will elevate the state's power generation capacity to new levels and lay the foundation for a sustainable, green future by promoting renewable energy. The goal is for Chhattisgarh to not only become self-sufficient in energy but also establish itself as an energy hub for the entire country,” Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said.

The proposed investment in the thermal power sector is worth a total of Rs107,840 Crore consisting both private investors and public sector undertakings (PSUs). Private investors are set to contribute Rs66,720 Crore, with Adani Power leading the way with investments in several projects, including Rs18,000 Crore for the Korba 1600MW plant, Rs15,000 Crore for the Raigarh 1600MW plant, Rs15,000 Crore for the Raipur 1600MW plant, and Rs620 Crore for a Korba 1320MW plant.

Jindal Power is set to invest Rs12,800 Crore in a 1600MW plant in Raigarh, while Sarda is contributing Rs5,300 Crore for a 660MW plant in Raigarh.

On the other hand, PSUs are proposing a total investment of Rs41,120 Crore, with NTPC committing Rs15,530 Crore for the Lara 1600MW project in Raigarh and Rs9,790 Crore for the Sipat 800MW plant in Bilaspur. CSPGCL is also investing Rs15,800 Crore in the Korba 1320MW project. This collective investment demonstrates a strong push to expand and upgrade thermal power generation capacity in the region.

NTPC has planned to set up a 4200 MW nuclear power project at an investment of Rs80,000 crore, marking the beginning of nuclear power generation in the state.

Chhattisgarh has also achieved significant success in the field of solar energy. Jindal Power and NTPC Green together will produce 2500 MW of solar power by investing Rs10,000 crore. This includes 500 MW solar plants in Doleshra and 2000 MW in Raigarh.

In addition, there is good news for farmers. Under the PM Kusum Yojana, 675 MW of solar power will be generated at a cost of Rs4100 crore, and 20,000 solar pumps will be installed. This will provide affordable electricity to farmers for irrigation, reducing their reliance on diesel pumps.

Pumped storage projects with a total capacity of 8700 MW will also be developed at an investment of Rs57,046 crore. These projects include 1800 MW at SJN Kotpali and 3000 MW by Jindal Renewable.

An investment of Rs57,046 crore is being directed towards pumped storage projects, which will greatly enhance the state’s hydropower capacity. Major companies are participating in this initiative, with plans to develop several large-scale projects. These include an 1800 MW hydropower project in Kotpali, a 1400 MW hydropower scheme in Dangri, and a 3000 MW hydropower project by Jindal Renewable Company.

Chhattisgarh is investing heavily in its energy infrastructure, with Rs3,200 crore allocated for CREDA Solar Initiatives and Rs 6,000 crore for the PM Surya Scheme to expand solar energy. The state will also invest Rs 2,500 crore in government building solar projects, Rs 2,600 crore in Battery Energy Storage Systems, and Rs17,000 crore to upgrade power transmission. Rs10,800 crore will be invested under the RDSS to improve power distribution efficiency. These efforts will strengthen the state's energy capabilities and reliability.

With all these investments, Chhattisgarh is set to become one of the largest energy-producing states in the country. This will benefit industries, farmers, and the general public, while also boosting the state’s economy.

Emphasis on Integrating MGNREGA with Other Schemes to Accelerate Rural Development

Raipur : A meeting of the Chhattisgarh Rural Employment Guarantee Council was held today at the Chief Minister's Office in Vidhansabha Campus, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. The meeting reviewed ongoing projects under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA). Chief Minister Shri Sai directed officials to ensure the highest quality and timely execution of MGNREGA projects to maximize benefits for rural families.

He particularly emphasized prioritizing Dharasa approach road construction and the Amrit Sarovar Project to strengthen rural infrastructure and promote water conservation.

Chief Minister Sai stated that the Chhattisgarh government’s objective is not just to provide employment but to make rural areas self-reliant. MGNREGA projects are being implemented with a long-term vision to ensure holistic rural development. He stressed the importance of transparency and accountability in the implementation process so that the scheme serves as a strong foundation for empowering the poor. In-Depth Discussion on Effective Implementation of MGNREGA in the State

The meeting included a comprehensive review of the financial progress for FY 2023-24 and 2024-25, the labour budget for 2025-26, key performance indicators of the scheme, and the convergence model for better implementation. The annual progress report from 2019-20 to 2023-24 was also presented.

MGNREGA Commissioner Shri Rajat Bansal informed that out of 38.52 lakh registered families in the state, 24.89 lakh families have been provided employment. Under the Amrit Sarovar Scheme, a target has been set to construct 2,902 reservoirs, out of which 1,095 have been approved, 299 have been completed, and work is in progress on 472 sites.

Raipur : The Maha Kumbh 2025 is being held in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. I urge the people of Chhattisgarh to participate in this sacred event. You need not worry about accommodation or meals—our government has established the Chhattisgarh Pavilion over 4.5 acres in Sector 6 of the Kumbh Mela area, providing free lodging and food for all devotees."

With these words, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai had earlier invited the people of Chhattisgarh to experience the spiritual grandeur of Maha Kumbh 2025. Understanding the aspirations of his people, CM Sai collaborated with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath to secure a dedicated space for Chhattisgarh devotees, ensuring they could participate in the world’s largest spiritual congregation without any worries.

As a result, for 45 days, the Chhattisgarh Pavilion served as a home for over 50,000 devotees, enabling them to take a holy dip in the Sangam and immerse themselves in the Kumbh’s spiritual energy. Devotees bowed in reverence before the images of the four revered deities of the state—Maa Mahamaya, Maa Danteshwari, Maa Bamleshwari, and Maa Chandrahasini.

To enhance visitor engagement, advanced technology was seamlessly integrated into the exhibition. A 360-degree immersive dome, offering a breathtaking virtual tour of Chhattisgarh, saw long queues of eager visitors. Virtual Reality (VR) experiences, allowed attendees to explore Chhattisgarh in an interactive manner.
