The area of Abujhmad is spread over about 4 thousand square kilometers which covers the areas of Narayanpur, Bijapur, and Dantewada. Mostly these areas are surrounded by mountains and dense forests and tribal families reside in these areas. This area has been isolated for a long time. The survey of the land was not carried out since independence, due to which the tribal farmers living here faced many problems. On the initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the state government took an important decision to conduct a ‘Masahati Survey’ considering the problems of the farmers of the Abujhmad area.

Survey to be conducted for 275 villages of Abujhmad

There are more than 275 villages in the Naxalite-affected area of Abujhmad where the process of the survey was not done yet. These are mostly located in the Narayanpur, Bijapur, and Dantewada districts of the Bastar division. The state government does not have any records of these villages in this context. It was decided by the Council of Ministers that more than 50 thousand people living in these villages of the Abujhmad area will be provided with the khasra and map of the land held in their possession. Due to this, the official record of the land in their possession will be available to the farmer families and they will be able to transfer the land in their possession. In this way, about 10 thousand farmers will get ownership of more than 50 thousand hectares of land under the Abujhmad area.

Survey to be conducted for 246 villages in Narayanpur

Following the decision of the Council of Ministers taken on 27 August 2019, 246 villages were notified for the ‘Masahati survey’ of the Narayanpur district by the Revenue Department of Chhattisgarh. These villages include 237 villages of the entire Orchha development block and 9 villages of the Narayanpur development block. Till now survey of 110 villages of Narayanpur district has been conducted successfully, which includes the 9 villages of Narayanpur development block and 101 villages of Orchha development block. So far, Masahati Khasra has been distributed to more than 7 thousand 7 hundred people.

Farmers getting ownership rights

In the Abujhmad area, many farmers had been cultivating the land occupied by them within the forest areas for so many years, but due to a lack of land survey, they did not have any land-related documents. Neither they could take advantage of any government scheme nor could they get loans from banks for farming. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel takes the initiative to conduct the survey in the Abujhmad area of Narayanpur district and farmers were given masahati pattas. This has given land ownership rights to the farmers.

More than 2000 farmers will sell paddy for the first time

Masahati patta has been distributed to many farmers after the survey conducted by the district administration of Narayanpur district under the Abujhmad area. In the current Kharif season, 2 thousand 193 farmers of Abujhmad will sell paddy for the first time after getting Masahati Khasra. Paddy is being procured from such farmers at the support price by the government based on the masahati survey. With this, farmers have started getting government schemes as well as other benefits. Under this, 35 farmers have been given solar dual pumps worth Rs.112.35 lakh, which will provide irrigation benefits to 87 acres of agricultural land. Along with this, Rs 127.97 lakh through a KCC loan, 1700 horticulture tool kits, and mini kits for the seed have also been distributed in 493 cases. Similarly, caste certificates have been provided to 2731 beneficiaries, and domicile certificates to 1573. Along with this, 11370 kg of paddy, 536 kg of lentils, and 470 kg of mustard seeds have been distributed to these farmers.

Pappu Potai sold paddy for the first time at a support price

Mr. Pappu Potai, a farmer of village Kadandi under Narayanpur district, has been given Masahati Khasra of about three and a half acres of land and now they have the ownership rights of the land. Pappu Potai, a young tribal farmer of village Kandadi, who sells paddy at the paddy procurement center after obtaining Masahati patta, told that he cultivated paddy this time on about 3.5 acres of land. He sold about 32 quintals of paddy. He told that in the previous years also he had cultivated paddy, but due to a lack of government documents, he was not able to sell paddy at the support price. In compulsion, he had to sell his crops to the middlemen at half the price. After the Masahati survey, he has been provided help for land leveling and construction of dubris. Farmer Pappu Potai said that due to the opening of the paddy procurement center near his village, the farmers of the surrounding areas are getting a lot of conveniences. He told that under MNREGA, along with the work of ‘Dubris’ construction and land leveling of fields, fertilizers and seeds have also been provided. He wants to use the amount received from the sale of paddy for fencing the field and bore on the field so that he can grow different crops for the coming seasons.

Chennai : The RRPR Holding Private Ltd. of the Adani Group has been invited to propose two Directors to the board of New Delhi Television Ltd. (NDTV), and the proposal has been approved by the latter's Board.

The choice was made during the NDTV Board meeting on Friday and announced to the stock exchanges later that day.

In NDTV, RRPR Holding owns a 29.18% stake.

The appointment will be discussed at the upcoming board meeting, which is expected to take place on December 23, according to NDTV.

Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy, the RRPR Holding's initial promoters, recently resigned from their positions as directors as a result of the Adani Group purchasing a 99.5% share in the company.

Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy do, however, own 15.94% and 16.32%, respectively, of NDTV.

On the other hand, RRPR Holdings has named Senthil Sinniah Chengalvarayan, Sanjay Pugalia, and Sudipta Bhattacharya as Directors.

Additionally, the Adani Group has made an open offer to buy a further 26% stake in NDTV for Rs 294 a share.

NDTV share prices are now declining at the bourses after reaching a high of Rs 470.05 on December 1.

On the BSE, the share's closing price on Friday was Rs 330.95.

Hyderabad University students protest after a lecturer tries to rape a foreign student

Hyderabad (The Hawk): The Hyderabad University was shaken by student protests on Saturday after a professor allegedly tried to sexually attack a foreign student.

Professor Ravi Ranjan of the School of Humanities' Hindi Department has been taken into custody by the police. Later on in the day, he will be presented in court, a police official said.

On Friday night, the professor allegedly invited the student to his house near the school on the pretence of teaching her Hindi before attempting to sexually assault her and providing wine to the occasion.

The woman, who had been severely traumatised by the sexual attack, told her classmates what had happened. She turned to an online programme for translation since she struggled to express herself well in English.

Other students hurried the victim, who is from Thailand and just started the master's programme, to the university's health centre. She filed a complaint with the Gachibowli police station, part of the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate, following the examination.

A complaint was also made by the central university's director of the foreign exchange programme.

The professor was arrested after the police filed a complaint against him under Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 354 (Assault or criminal force to women with intent to outrage her modesty).

With the aid of a translator, the police took down the victim's statement, who was 23 years old.

As word of the sexual assault spread, students gathered outside the university' main gate and held a demonstration, calling for the professor to face harsh punishment. They urged the university's administration to suspend him right away.

The university administration was also criticised by the students for taking so long to file a police report against the accused. They claimed that neither the Registrar nor the Vice-Chancellor had ever met the victim.

The students from several groups declared that they would keep protesting until the institution took action against him.

New Delhi : Pinky Irani, a close associate of imprisoned conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar, was taken into custody by the Delhi Police's Economic Offences Wing (EOW) in connection with the Rs 200 crore extortion case.

Pinky Irani, a Mumbai resident who joined the inquiry at the EOW office today, was arrested in the Sukesh case as a result of having enough evidence against her, according to a senior police official.

Additionally, she was brought before the court, where a three-day remand to police custody was authorised.

"She is accused of reaching out to models and actors on Sukesh's behalf. They claim that she would ask them to call or meet Sukesh "According to a source, she also offered lavish presents to actresses on Sukesh's behalf.

The sources claim that Nikki Tamboli of "Big Boss" and "Bade Acche Lagte Hai" fame Sukesh introduced himself as a producer of the southern film industry when Chahat Khanna, Sophia Singh, and Arusha Patil first encountered him on the jail grounds.

HC restrains circulation of sexually explicit video of judicial officer

New Delhi, Dec 1 (PTI) The Delhi High Court has restrained sharing and posting of a "sexually explicit" video of a judicial officer and a woman that surfaced on November 29 and was circulated on social media platforms, saying its circulation would cause irreparable harm to the privacy rights of the plaintiff.

In an order late Wednesday night, Justice Yashwant Varma allowed a prayer to "conceal" the identity of the aggrieved party, and said an ad interim ex-parte injunction was warranted as the circulation of the video was in violation of several laws.

The judge noted that the full court of the high court has itself taken cognisance of the incident on its administrative side, and pursuant to a resolution, its registrar general has conveyed to authorities the need to take appropriate action for blocking the video over all messaging and social media platforms as well as through internet service providers (ISPs).

To mark Congress’ four years of “misrule” in the state, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will launch ‘Jan Aakrosh Rath Yatra’ on December 1 in all 200 Assembly constituencies of Rajasthan.

According to Satish Poonia, state BJP chief, the yatra shall cover 75,000 km on 200 chariots in 200 assemblies and the party has also launched the theme song of Jan Aakrosh Yatra.

“During its rally, the party will also hold 20,000 chaupals and 20,000 nukkar meetings,” stated Poonia.

Poonia, while addressing a press conference on Sunday said that the chariots of the ‘Jan Aakrosh Yatra’ will be taken out by the state BJP in all 200 assembly constituencies against the “jungle rule, misrule and corruption” under the rule of the Congress government in the state.

State BJP National President J.P. Nadda will start the flagging off the yatra from Jaipur. On December 1, this Jan Aakrosh Yatra will be kicked off by the party’s National President J.P. Nadda from Jaipur with the departure of 51 chariots.

Overall, 200 chariots will travel through 200 assembly constituencies in the entire state.

Besides, the saffron party has released a missed call number (8140200200) for the general public, on which people would be able to register public outrage against the Congress government by giving a missed call.

New delhi : A day after Aam Aadmi Party leader Sandeep Bhardwaj’s body was found hanging at his residence in the national capital, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Friday said it was wrong to allege the AAP leader took his life as he was denied a party ticket to contest the upcoming MCD polls.

Meanwhile, the BJP has alleged that Bhardwaj did not die by suicide but he was murdered.

Addressing a press conference here today, the Delhi deputy chief minister Sisodia said, “This is very sad. Sandeep ji was close to me too. He used to play a very important role in the trade wing. You cannot connect the death with ticket, it’s wrong.”

Sisodia was responding to a question that the AAP leader Bharadwaj committed suicide because he was denied ticket to contest the municipal corporation elections.

AAP’s trade wing secretary was found dead at his Rajouri Garden residence on Thursday, police said.

BJP leader Manoj Tiwari today alleged that Bhardwaj did not die by suicide.

“I believe it is not suicide but murder. Sandeep Bhardwaj was assured ticket. Evidence doesn’t make it look like suicide. It’s also coming to the knowledge that a ticket for that seat was sold. Abetting suicide is also like murder. AAP chief and leadership have committed sin,” said Tiwari.

Bhardwaj was taken to “Kukreja hospital” by one of his friends, Delhi Police said.

Delhi Police said that a PCR call was received from Kukreja Hospital, Rajouri Garden at 4.40 pm yesterday about 55 year-old Sandeep Bhardwaj being brought dead due to hanging at his residence.

A crime team reached the spot of the crime and inquest proceedings under section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) were initiated.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal yesterday expressed grief over Bhardwaj’s death and offered his condolences.

“Extremely saddened by the sudden death of Aam Aadmi Party worker Sandeep Bhardwaj in Delhi. May God give his soul a place at his holy feet. My condolences to his family members in this hour of grief and the entire party stands with the family members of Sandeep ji in this difficult time,” tweeted CM Kejriwal.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today reiterated the state’s demand of refund of NPS amount, GST compensation and transferring of the amounts collected as 'additional levy' from coal block companies.

During the pre-budget meeting held at Manekshaw Centre here, the chief minister gave several proposals and suggestions regarding the General Budget 2023-24. The meeting, chaired by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, was attended by Finance Ministers of other states.

Demanding refund of NPS amount, the chief minister said that the state government has restored old pension scheme in Chhattisgarh for securing the future of government employees and their families. He added that Rs 17240 crore deposited with NSDL till March 31 should be returned so that it can be put in the General Provident Fund of the employees.

Mr. Baghel further informed the Union minister that the state government's share will be deposited in a separate pension fund, which will be used to meet pensionary obligations in future. Along with this, it will be invested in Government of India and State Government securities.

The Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh had requested to continue the system of GST compensation grant for the next five years after June 2022, but it was not increased. He demanded an amount of 1875 crores for GST compensation.

He also urged to transfer the coal royalty amount of Rs 4140 crore to the state at the earliest.

At the same time, he requested to release the amount of 1288 crores spent on central security forces and 313 crores spent by the state government on 4 special and Indian defense forces deployed in the state.

Reffering that the year 2023 has also been declared by the United Nations as the 'International Year of Millet', the chief minister said that Kodo, Kutki and Ragi (Millets) are mainly cultivated in Chhattisgarh and urged the Center to declare minimum support price for Kodo and Kutki crops to promote Millets crops.

He also demanded setting up of marketing centers on the lines of C-Mart so that agriculture, handicrafts and minor forest produce products could be promoted.

The Chief Minister also gave suggestions in the meeting regarding revision of royalty rates of major minerals, incentive grants to states with better financial management, continuation of special assistance scheme, starting of International Cargo Terminal in Raipur, increase in central schemes.

Discussion was also held on the need for paddy and gunny bags

The Chief Minister said that in the year 2022-23, a target has been given to supply 57 lakh metric tonnes of Arva and 4 lakh metric tonnes of parboiled rice in the central pool and also requested the Central Government to increase the target of procurement of par-boiled rice to 14 lakh metric tonnes. Along with this, he also demanded to ensure availability of new jute gunny bags to the state.

New Delhi, Nov 24 (PTI) Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday hit back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his attack on the party during the campaign in Gujarat, saying that instead of cursing the Congress, he should speak about the BJP's "misrule" in the state.

Prime Minister Modi on Wednesday had sought to corner the Congress for not supporting a tribal woman, Droupadi Murmu, in the presidential poll. He had also lashed out at the opposition party, accusing it of engaging in vote bank politics, nepotism, sectarianism and supporting "anti-social elements" during its rule in Gujarat.

Hitting back at the PM, Kharge said in a tweet in Hindi, "Narendra Modi ji, instead of cursing the Congress, speak on the misrule of the BJP!" "Why was the future of the children of Gujarat spoiled? Why Gujarat ranks 29th among 30 states in malnourished, underweight children? Why is it at 19th place in infant mortality rate?" he said.

Mumbai, 24 Nov 2022 (Agency).Bihar's young star Hemant Jha recently released on money laundering by presenting a role like actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha, who earned fame as Bihari Babu by playing his role in the bygone era. This deficiency has been filled in the "Dharavi Bank" web series.

In this series, which was released on 19th Nov on M.X.Player channel, Hemant Jha, a young star coming from Mithilanchal along with famous stars of the time, Sunil Sethi, Vivek Overai and actress Sonali Kulkarni, once again brought this deficiency to limelight by presenting his style.

Hemant who rocked Dubai has been active in the industry for the past two decades and has played important roles in several series and films. In "Dharavi Bank" the young star Hemant was seen stirring up the wilders and firing at them in the same fashion. Like Shatrughan Sinha, popularly known as Bihari Babu, used to play the role.

Hemant have been hails from Mailam village in Madhubani district of Bihar. He was educated in Patna. He studied till B.Com and turned towards acting. However, his family had nothing to do with this industry. Father Dinesh Jha is a famous journalist from Bihar.

Hemant is an All India Radio & Doordarshan approved artist. He has played important roles in serials Pratigya, Jyoti, CID, Aahat, Crime Patrol, Shaitaan & Savdhaan India. Also worked in short film for MTV produced by Soojeet Sarkar.

Hemant has played web-series - Dharavi Bank for MX Player, Monica Oh My Darling for Netflix, Special Ops for Amazon, Cyber Crime for Voot, Kaun...etc for Flipkart. He is working on some other projects.L. S.

Mandya, : On Wednesday, Karnataka police detained a man on suspicion of creating pornographic movies of a young girl, blackmailing her, and raping her.

Yunus Pasha, 25, has been identified as the person who was arrested.

Yunus Pasha, a married man, allegedly made friends with the young girl and gave her a cell phone.

Later, he had begun speaking with her on the phone, taking private pictures of her, and recording their video talks. The accused took advantage of their friendship and entered the girl's home while she was alone with her grandma.

He demanded that she give her grandmother sleeping drugs or he would threaten to post her personal videos and images on social media. The accused sexually assaulted the victim when she dozed off.

The girl's parents noticed peculiar behaviour when they got home. The young girl sobbed and described her experience when they interrogated her.

They eventually reported this to the police.
