Dr. Pankaj said that there are five types of leprosy. Generally, nerves are affected in this disease. Due to this, disability can also occur. When the bacteria of leprosy reaches the respiratory tract, then people come in contact with such people. This disease spreads through visitors. In other situations, this disease does not spread through contact with each other.

He said that sometimes it has also been seen that even after taking the medicine for the prescribed period, the disease is not completely cured. Then the patients approach private doctors instead of government treatment. But its medicine is available in the private sector. Due to it not being easily available, they have to face difficulties. However, at present, one tablet of Rifamshil is capable of eliminating 99 percent of the bacteria causing leprosy, which is given to the patient once a month during the treatment.

No major announcement for the real estate sector, expectations from the budget remained unfulfilled

But Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman kept this interim budget limited and avoided making big promises before the elections. Real estate sector will grow even in small cities

Enrock Group Chairman Anuj Puri said that as per estimates, no major announcement was made in the interim Budget 2024. But, in the budget there has been talk of focusing on infrastructure and connectivity. This will lead to real estate development in big cities as well as Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

These announcements of the Finance Minister will be beneficial

The target of 3 crore houses was achieved in PM Awas Yojana (Rural). 2 crore more houses will be built in the next 5 years.

The government will start a scheme to help middle class people living in rented houses, slums, chawls and illegal colonies to buy or build houses.

Capital expenditure for infrastructure will be increased by 11.1 percent to Rs 11,11,111 lakh crore, which will be 3.4 percent of GDP. This will open the possibility of real estate development.

Transit oriented development will increase the demand for houses in cities. Also, prices may increase. It will be beneficial in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities also.

The development of tourist centers will increase the demand for hotels and restaurants. Long term loans will be given to states to increase tourism.

Extending the tax benefit to startups for one more year may increase the demand for offices.

The hope of real estate sector remained unfulfilled here

The real estate sector has been demanding to be declared an industry for years. With this one can easily avail the benefits of loan and tax exemption. But, there was disappointment on this issue in the interim budget.

Tax benefits are also not available for home buyers. If tax exemption on home loans had increased, the real estate sector would have benefited greatly.

If the budget for PM Awas Yojana (Urban) increases, the demand in the real estate sector will increase. But, no such announcement was made in the interim budget.

The interim budget has ignored the demand of the real estate sector. Now the entire hope of the sector is pinned on the full budget coming in July.

New Delhi: Supreme Court today stayed Calcutta High Court judge Abhijit Gangopadhyay's order seeking a CBI probe into medical admissions in Bengal. The matter is about alleged irregularities in the issuance of reserved category certificates and admission of MBBS candidates in state-run medical colleges and hospitals in West Bengal.

In an unprecedented instance, Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay accused his colleague, Justice Soumen Sen who presided over a division bench that stayed a single-judge order for a CBI probe into medical admission irregularities, of working for a political party.

A five-judge constitution bench comprising CJI DY Chandrachud and justices Sanjiv Khanna, BR Gavai, Surya Kant and Aniruddha Bose heard the matter today. The bench issued a notice to the West Bengal government and the original petitioner in the case.

It also stayed the orders passed by the single-judge bench and the division bench in the matter.

"We will take this up on Monday, took this up now to pass this order. We have taken charge now," the bench said.

A single-judge bench of Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay on Thursday held that the order passed by the division bench of Justices Soumen Sen and Uday Kumar as wholly illegal and has to be ignored.

Initially, the single bench had directed a CBI investigation saying it had no faith in the state police on a plea filed by MBBS candidate Itisha Soren alleging irregularities in the admissions of candidates in medical colleges and hospitals under the reservation category.

The tableau showcased ‘Bastar Ki Aadim Jan Sansad: Muria Darbar’ which has become a significant attraction during the concluding ceremony of Bastar Dussehra, the world’s longest that lasts for a total of 75 days.

Chief Guest of the 75th Republic Day celebrations, French President Emmanuel Macron along with President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh received the tableau with waving hands as it passed in front of the saluting base.

The spectators were astonished to see the 600-year-old custom of decision making by tribal communities They greeted the tableau with huge applause and were spellbound with the depiction of terracotta and bell metal art on the tableau.

The tableau of Chhattisgarh is based on the theme of the Government of India 'India is the mother of democracy'. Muria Darbar, the tribal people’s parliament, is a democratic institution functioning at the grassroot level of Chhattisgarh. The institution dates back to 1876 and is still prevalent at the Bastar division even after 75 years of independence.

The unity and democratic spirit of Bastar has its roots back to the time when there were no kings and at a place in Bada Dongar, “Limau Raja”, a lemon was used to symbolise kingship and decisions were collectively made by the tribal communities.

Delhi: Dense fog and cold delay flights, trains

New Delhi (India): Delhi, the capital city of India experienced disruptions, in both air and rail travel on Tuesday due to fog and adverse weather conditions. Flights at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport in Delhi were. Around 28 long distance trains to the city were running behind schedule with delays of up to five hours.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted a temperature of 7 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 18 degrees Celsius for Delhi. However on Tuesday morning the temperature dropped to 6.9 degrees Celsius. Northern Railways reported delays in 28 trains, including known ones such as Howrah New Delhi Rajdhani Express, Rajendranagar New Delhi Rajdhani Express and Bangalore Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express ranging from 2 to 5 hours.

According to IMDs forecast moderate fog is expected in Delhi until January 26th with conditions anticipated on January 27th and 28th. Due to the wave residents sought warmth around bonfires on Tuesday.

At the time IMD issued alerts regarding dense to dense fog prevailing over parts of Punjab Haryana Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh until the morning of January 26th. On Monday there was fog affecting visibility in Jammu division well as areas, like Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand.

Several areas faced issues with visibility. Prime Minister Narendra Modi removed the blindfold of Ram Lalla and offered prayers with a lotus flower in his hand. Along with this, Lord Ram was given a grand welcome by bursting firecrackers in the entire country.

During this period, tight security arrangements were made across the country including Ayodhya. Unprecedented security arrangements were made in the capital Delhi. People of Hindu religion in foreign countries also offered special prayers on this occasion.

The process of consecration of Ramlala's life has been completed in the Ram temple of Ayodhya. Shri Ram has been seen for the first time, today. Before this, Shri Modi reached the sanctum sanctorum of the temple and took a pledge for the Pran-Pratishtha Puja. Then the puja started. It was the PM who removed the blindfold of Ram Lalla and worshiped him with a lotus flower. Ramlala was decorated with Pitambara. He is holding a bow and arrow in his hands.

Nagaon: During a stop, on his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi found himself amidst a political atmosphere as BJP supporters chanted slogans of 'Modi Modi' and 'Jai Shri Ram.' Unfazed by the commotion Gandhi responded by waving, blowing flying kisses and even stepping down from the bus to engage with the chanting crowd.

Gandhi shared a video of this incident on media. Conveyed "Our doors of love are open for all. India will unite; Hindustan will triumph."

Later in a meeting he recounted the incident. Emphasized that the Congress remains undeterred by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

The Congress has accused BJP supporters of targeting their leaders including Gandhi and Jairam Ramesh during the Assam leg of the Nyay Yatra. In response the BJP countered that Gandhi appeared unsettled by the 'Jai Shri Ram' and 'Modi, Modi' slogans.

Amit Malviya, head of BJPs IT cell commented saying, "If this is how shaken he is now how will he face the people of this country in days to come " while BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala criticized Gandhis reaction, to the slogans as "arrogant" and "shameful."

During the meeting Gandhi shared an incident where workers, from the BJP approached their bus with sticks. They quickly dispersed when he stepped out. He made it clear that the Congress party is not afraid of any opposition.

At the meeting Mallikarjun Kharge, the president of Congress took a dig at Chief Minister Sarma by saying, "This is somewhat like 'my cat meows at me'."

Amid reports of attacks on the yatra (journey) Jairam Ramesh, a secretary of AICC (All India Congress Committee) revealed that his vehicle was also attacked. However he remained composed and continued with the journey.

K.C. Venugopal, another secretary of AICC strongly criticized the lawlessness in Assam and accused the Chief Minister of deploying hooligans to disrupt the yatra. He asserted that such incidents would only strengthen their determination.

The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra covers 100 Lok Sabha constituencies in 15 states and spans a distance of 6,713 km. The yatra began on January 14th from Thoubal in Manipur. Involves travel by both buses and, on foot. It is scheduled to conclude in Mumbai on either March 20 or 21.

Ayodhya: The eagerly awaited first image of the Ram Lalla idol was revealed to the public on Friday, marking a significant milestone just three days before the scheduled 'pran pratishtha' ceremony on January 22. The black stone statue, adorned with a yellow-cloth-covered gaze and a garland of roses, showcases Ram Lalla in a dignified standing posture, as disclosed by Sharad Sharma, a representative of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP).

The recently crafted 51-inch idol of Lord Ram, depicting him as a child, was skillfully sculpted by Arun Yogiraj, a renowned artist based in Mysuru. The idol was ceremoniously placed in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple on Thursday afternoon, ahead of the consecration ceremony.

The 'pradhan sankalp' ritual, a crucial step in the consecration process, was conducted by Anil Mishra, a member of the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust. According to Dixit, the 'pradhan sankalp' signifies that the 'pratishtha' of Lord Ram is dedicated to the well-being of all, the nation, humanity, and those who contributed to the temple's construction.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to attend the consecration ceremony on January 22, with the temple expected to open to the public the following day, as announced by Temple Trust General Secretary Champat Rai. The ceremony, commencing at 12:20 pm, is anticipated to conclude by 1 pm.

Rituals leading up to the consecration ceremony have already commenced at the temple, and Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak expressed the nation's collective anticipation for the event.

In preparation for the anticipated surge of devotees, the Health Department has intensified its efforts. Dr. Sanjay Jain, Chief Medical Officer of Ayodhya, revealed plans to establish first aid units at 16 key locations within the event area, equipped with medical personnel and necessary supplies. Two hospitals with capacities of 10 and 20 beds respectively are also being set up, complemented by 40 stationed ambulances and reserved emergency beds in existing medical facilities.

As Ayodhya gears up for this historic event, the meticulous planning by authorities ensures a comprehensive medical infrastructure to address any potential emergencies during the consecration ceremony.

Mahua Moitra, Expelled From Lok Sabha Last Month, Vacates Delhi Bungalow

New Delhi: Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra, who was expelled from Lok Sabha last month for unethical conduct, will vacate her government bungalow today. The Bengal MP had received an eviction notice earlier this week ordering her to vacate the bungalow immediately.

"House number 9B Telegraph Lane occupied by Ms. Mahua Moitra was fully vacated by 10 am this morning 19/1/2023 and possession handed over by her lawyers to Directorate of Estates who are inspecting and engaged in due process. Premises were vacated before authorities arrived and no eviction took place at all," Ms Moitra's lawyers told the media.

In a strongly-worded eviction notice, the Centre asked Ms Moitra to immediately vacate the bungalow. The notice by the Directorate of Estates, which manages government properties, stated that if Ms Moitra does not vacate the premises on her own, she and any other occupant "are liable to be evicted from the said premises, if need be, by the use of such force as may be necessary".

The government in its notice said Ms Moitra had been "allowed sufficient opportunity" but she failed to prove that she is not an unauthorised occupant.

On Thursday, Ms Moitra failed to get any relief from the Delhi High Court which refused to stay the eviction order and asked her to vacate the government bungalow.

Justice Girish Kathpalia said no specific rule has been brought before the court which dealt with the eviction of MPs from government accommodation after they cease to be lawmakers.

Mahua Moitra was held guilty of "unethical conduct" and expelled from Lok Sabha on December 8 last year for allegedly accepting gifts from businessman Darshan Hiranandani and sharing her user ID and password of the Parliament website with him.
