Bilaspur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated direct air services from Bilasa Devi Kevat Airport, Bilaspur, to Delhi and Kolkata today. Shri Sai virtually flagged off the direct flights from Bilaspur to Delhi and Bilaspur to Kolkata from his residence office. On the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sai and several other public representatives were present at Bilasa Devi Kevant Airport, while MP Shri Sunil Soni was present at Chief Minister’s residence.

In his address to the program, Shri Sai said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is committed to make air travel accessible and affordable for everyone. In the same sequence, air services are being expanded across the state. The new flights launched today are like a dream come true for people of Bilaspur. The newly-established direct air connectivity includes routes from Bilaspur to Delhi, Bilaspur to Kolkata, and now, Jagdalpur to Jabalpur. This expansion in air services will unleash new possibilities in the realms of business and tourism. Shri Sai congratulated people of Bilaspur for commencement of these air services.

Expressing his delight, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated that the initiation of direct flights is a significant development for Chhattisgarh. The benefits of these air services will extend not only to Bilaspur but to the entire state, fostering growth and opportunities. He extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for his support in fulfilling the long-standing demand of Bilaspur residents.

Furthermore, Chief Minister Shri Sai highlighted the commencement of air services from Jagdalpur to Jabalpur, foreseeing positive impacts on commerce, tourism, education, healthcare, and industries in the Bastar region. Shri Sai also talked about the ongoing upgrade of facilities at Bilasa Devi Kevat Airport, Bilaspur. He announced that the facility of night landing will be available at the Bilasa Devi Kevat Airport soon.

Bilasa Devi Kevat Airport has obtained a 3C-FAR license, allowing the operation of 72-seater planes. Aviation Department has already applied for the 3CIFR license to provide night landing facilities, promising enhanced services in the near future. Alliance Air has commenced three air services in Chhattisgarh, connecting Bilaspur with Delhi, Kolkata, and Jabalpur.

The inaugural flights from Kolkata and Delhi to Bilaspur witnessed smooth operations. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao presided over the program at Bilasa Devi Kevat Airport, highlighting the significance of initiating simultaneous regular air services to New Delhi and Kolkata, marking a significant milestone for development of Bilaspur. He assured that the state government would extend every possible support in smooth operation of these regular flight services. He said that a regular flight from Bilaspur to Hyderabad will also be commenced soon.

Chief Minister Inaugurates 'Navonmesh Portal' Prepared by State Planning Commission for Best Practice Compilation

Raipur : Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and Chairman of the State Planning Commission, Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, held a meeting with all departmental secretaries in his residence office on Monday to discuss the action plan for creating the vision document "Amritkal: Chhattisgarh Vision@2047". Minister Shri OP Choudhary was also present at the meeting.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated that on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of India's independence on August 15, 2023, a vision has been shared to transform the nation into a developed country by 2047. It is expected that all states ensure the effective implementation and utilization of state-level policies, programs, and resources to achieve the goal of a developed India @2047. Furthermore, to identify the state's strengths and devise effective strategies and action plans for expected progress, a vision document titled "Amritkal: Chhattisgarh Vision @2047" is planned to be released on the upcoming State Foundation Day on November 1, 2024.

Shri Sai mentioned that the vision document would include policy and action plans for potential development areas in the state, such as infrastructure development, agricultural modernization, education and skill development, GYAN 'Gareeb, Yuva, Annadata and Naari Sakti '-based development, investment promotion, effective utilization of mineral resources, renewable energy, cottage industry development, effective fiscal and tax policies, encouragement of small and medium-sized enterprises, food processing units, tourism development, health and nutrition, tribal development, rural development, and urban development. Based on this, relevant departments will ensure significant progress in their respective sectors, playing a crucial role in realizing the vision of a developed Chhattisgarh.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated the 'Navonmesh Portal,' an online digital platform prepared by the State Planning Commission for collecting best practices. The aim of this portal is to effectively gather best practices in one place, which can then be adopted in other districts and departments. This initiative aims to inspire others to implement these practices in their respective areas of work, thereby achieving better results under various schemes and activities.

During the meeting on the proposed strategy for preparing the vision document, Finance Minister Shri OP Choudhary expressed his views, stating that as per the announcement made in the budget, the Chhattisgarh government is committed to releasing the state's vision document, 'Amritkal: Chhattisgarh Vision @2047' on the state's establishment day, November 1, 2024.

Shri Chaudhary emphasized the concept of 'Inclusive Development' and 'No one left behind in the stream of development' for envisioning a developed nation and state. The idea of rapid development in the state is symbolized by ten fundamental pillars. Primarily, GYAN (Gareeb, Yuva, Annadata, and Naari Shakti) will be the focal points of our economic and social development.

He mentioned that the vision document will include sector-specific policies for short-term (5 years), medium-term (10 years), and long-term (25 years) durations. Along with policies, the vision document will also encompass sector-wise implementation points.

In this meeting, Shri Ajay Singh, Vice-Chairman of the State Planning Commission, informed that inputs will be gathered from departments, district administration officials, industry representatives, civil society, youth, and the general public by the State Planning Commission to prepare the comprehensive vision document. Coordination will also be maintained with the NITI Aayog in New Delhi as per the requirement. He expressed the expectation that all departments would actively participate in preparing this vision document.

Shri Amitabh Jain, Chief Secretary of the Chhattisgarh Government, provided guidance to all department secretaries to ensure adequate coordination with the State Planning Commission and to provide necessary data feedback as required. This ensures the participation of all departments in determining the vision document.

In this meeting, Shri Anoop Kumar Shrivastav, Member Secretary, presented the phased action plan and its timeline for the determination of the vision document. Dr. K. Subramaniam, Member of the State Planning Commission, and all departmental secretaries participated in the meeting.

Raipur : Chief Minister expressed gratitude towards the Prime Minister for dedicating his time to launch the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, stating, “The day for which these women were eagerly waiting has arrived today. Our visionary Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi ji, had pledged that if our government were formed in Chhattisgarh, we would initiate this scheme. Today, the first installment is being transferred to the bank accounts of 70 lakh 12 thousand 600 women.”

Chief Minister mentioned that our Sanatan tradition states, “Yatra Naryastu Pujyante Ramante Tatra Devta,” which implies that where women are accorded respect, even deities prefer to reside, and where they are not respected, all endeavors remain fruitless. Reflecting on the day, the Chief Minister reminisced about his association with the late Shri Judev, highlighting the invaluable lessons he learned, particularly in humility and dedication to public service.

"I learned humility from the late Shri Judev," Chief Minister Shri Sai remarked, "His deep commitment to service continues to inspire me. There's unparalleled joy in serving patients, which has been the cornerstone of my political journey."

Recounting his efforts in securing medical assistance for the needy, Chief Minister Shri Sai stated, "In just one year of my term as a state minister, I appealed to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for Rs 12 crores from the Prime Minister's Relief Fund to facilitate patient treatments. During Dr Raman Singh's tenure, I relentlessly pursued medical aid for patients, a mission that brought immense satisfaction."

Extending his greetings on Mahashivratri and International Women's Day, Chief Minister Shri Sai also paid tributes to the late Shri Dilip Singh Judev highlighting Shri Judev's pivotal role in shaping his political career. "Shri Judev has been my political guru. His guidance in politics, humility, and worker relations has been invaluable. I express my gratitude to the association for their contribution towards patient welfare", he said.

In addition, Chief Minister Shri Sai shared the story of a truck driver afflicted with a tumor post-accident. "Upon learning of his plight, I ensured his treatment at Delhi AIIMS, where the doctors removed his 16 kg tumor, saying that this is a first-of-its-kind case", he said.

Highlighting Prime Minister Shri Modi's visionary leadership, Chief Minister Shri Sai stated "Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's idea is to make our country the world's guru again, to call this country a 'Sone ki Chidiya' again, and to realize the dream of a developed India. Efforts in this direction are also proving fruitful. Before 2014, our country's economy was at 11th place, in these 10 years it has come to 5th place, and in the next 5 years, it will be at the third place. A developed India necessitates a developed Chhattisgarh, requiring contributions from every citizen."

Sukanti plans to use the financial aid received under Mahtari Vandan Yojana to provide better education to her daughters

Raipur : Chhattisgarh Government is implementing Mahtari Vandan Yojana in Chhattisgarh to financially empower the women of the state. The financial aid provided under this scheme will not only help women invest in their health and well-being, but will also encourage their decisive role in the family.

Sukanti Singh, a resident of village Adawal of Jagdalpur district, said that after the government announced the launch of Mahtari Vandan Yojana, she got information about the scheme at a camp organized at local community center by Women and Child Development Department. At this camp, she filled the application to register as beneficiary for the scheme. Sukanti Singh is very excited to be selected as a beneficiary under Mahtari Vandan Yojana. She works as a daily wage labourer to support her family. She has two daughters and one son in the family, the husband died a few years ago.

After scrutiny of the application, she was enlisted as an eligible beneficiary of Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Sukanti told that she will use the amount she receives under the scheme for providing better education to her daughters.

Two-Day 'Chhattisgarh Climate Change Conclave 2024' in Chhattisgarh assess 100 year data

Raipur : Emphasizing on the need to formulate strategies to address the global challenge of climate change, Chhattisgarh has taken a new initiative of collaborating with tribal communities along with experts and environmentalists to tackle the challenge.

Chhattisgarh has also launched a climate change dashboard platform to provide a centralized system for collecting, analyzing, and visualizing climate-related data.

During the two-day ‘Chhattisgarh Climate Change Conclave 2024’, the state government focused on expertise and exchange of knowledge from primitive tribes of the remote regions of Chhattisgarh. As 44 per cent geographical area of Chhattisgarh is covered under rich and dense forest and these primitive tribes are very close to nature, utilising their traditional knowledge along with that of experts and public representatives will assist in moving in the right direction in terms of environment conservation.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that the conclave would serve as a significant platform for sharing crucial information and experiences regarding the global challenges and adverse impacts of climate change. He underlined the importance of collective efforts to combat climate change for the well-being of future generations.

British Deputy High Commissioner Dr Andrew Fleming, who attended the conclave, highlighted various aspects of climate change and appreciated the state governments efforts of addressing climate change through comprehensive action plans and leveraging the knowledge from these tribal inhabitants.

The suggestions of primitive tribes regarding conservation of medicinal plants in the forests will be implemented in the state. He said that the suggestions given by them on climate change will also be shared outside the country.

Climate change and global warming are posing as major threat for the entire world as it has led to severe repercussions in form of irregular rainfall, prolonged droughts, cyclonic rains, and seasonal variations, affecting both the nation and the world.

Experts from the country and the world attended the two-day workshop on climate change held in Raipur. In this workshop, the action plan prepared by the Government of Chhattisgarh on climate change was presented in which the data of 100 years was assessed.

The assessment indicated that the state is witnessing a decline in annual rainfall over the period 1972-2017. The most significant declining trend was observed in Surguja, Balrampur, Janjgir-Champa, Surajpur, Raigarh, Koriya, Raipur and Mahasamund districts, where a minimum decline of 3.95 mm/yr to 3.05 mm/yr was recorded.

The temperature time series during 1951-2017 shows a moderate increasing trend for summer maximum temperatures in Chhattisgarh, while a moderate increasing trend for winter minimums. Average maximum temperatures remained high across the districts of Chhattisgarh during March-April-May (MAM) and ranged from 36.11°C in Sukma to 38.88°C in Rajnandgaon district.

'Chhattisgarh State Action Plan on Climate Change' and a book on traditional health practices titled 'Ancient Wisdom' at Bastar was launched during the conclave.

Representatives from 15 states and various national-level institutions participated in the conclave. The program aimed to bring together experts, environmentalists, and representatives from tribal communities, along with policymakers and health practitioners, to discuss and share knowledge on climate change challenges and solutions.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai flagged off a special train bound for Ayodhya from Platform 07 of Raipur Railway Station at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, under the Shri Ramlalla Darshan Yojana. The train, carrying 850 Shri Ram devotees from all 05 districts of Raipur division, departed amidst spirited chants of 'Jai Shri Ram'.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai expressed pride in the pilgrimage, stating, "This is a momentous occasion as the people of Chhattisgarh get on on a journey to seek the blessings of Shri Ramlalla. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi promised the commencement of the Shri Ramlalla Darshan Yojana after our government's formation, and today marks the fulfillment of that pledge as the first train departs from Chhattisgarh to Ayodhya. In the future, trains will also operate from Bilaspur and Raigarh to Ayodhya under this scheme, offering devotees a weekly opportunity to visit Ayodhya Dham. In addition to Ayodhya, tours to other religious sites will also be organized. Chhattisgarh is the first state in the country to facilitate the Darshan of Shri Ramlalla at government expense. In March, the entire cabinet will visit Ayodhya for Ramlalla's Darshan."

Following the flag-off, the Raipur Railway Station resonated with echoes of 'Jai Shri Ram', continuing long after the train's departure. It is worth mentioning that the 12-coach train can accommodate nearly 850 devotees from Chhattisgarh at once for the Darshan of Shri Ramlalla in Ayodhya. Commencing its operation on March 5, this special train is part of the Shri Ramlalla Darshan Yojana, offering devotees a comprehensive package. This package includes travel arrangements from Chhattisgarh to Ayodhya, accommodation, temple visits, breakfast, and meals. In addition, the train will be facilitated with tour escorts, security personnel, and a team of doctors to ensure a smooth and safe journey for the pilgrims.

On the occasion, Minister of Forest and Climate Change Shri Kedar Kashyap, MLA and Padma Shri awardee Shri Anuj Sharma, Padma Shri awardee Shrimati Phoolbasan Yadav, Padma Shri awardee Shri Hemchand Manjhi, and Padma Shri awardee Shri Jageshwar Yadav were present, along with the senior officials from the Forest Department. Chief Minister commended the efforts of the department and the Chhattisgarh State Center for Climate Change for organizing the conclave.

In his address to the conclave, Chief Minister said that everyone needs to do their part for preserving nature and greener. Reckless consumerism and negligence towards the environment has led to this situation today. Acknowledging the challenges posed by climate change, Shri Sai highlighted the 2015 Paris Agreement, signed by 196 countries, as a collective effort to protect the environment. He affirmed that concerted efforts on a global scale would lead to success in addressing climate change challenges. Chief Minister concluded the speech by welcoming the experts, environmentalists, and representatives from tribal communities participating in the conclave. Forest and Climate Change Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap said that experts, public representatives, and tribal communities should come together to deal with the challenge of climate change. Principal Chief Conservator of Forest and Chief of Forest Force Shri V. Srinivasa Rao also addressed the program. Additional Chief Secretary of Forest Department, Shri Manoj Kumar Pingua said that to deal with this challenge, efforts should be made to bring experts, environmentalists, representatives of tribal communities and Vaidyarajas on one platform.

Exchange of knowledge and expertise will help us all to move in the right direction in terms of environment conservation. British Deputy High Commissioner Dr. Andrew Fleming highlighted various aspects of climate change. The workshop was organized by the Chhattisgarh State Center for Climate Change and the Forest and Climate Change Department with technical support from the Foundation for Ecological Security. Representatives from 15 states and various national-level institutions participated in the conclave. The program aimed to bring together experts, environmentalists, and representatives from tribal communities, along with policymakers and health practitioners, to discuss and share knowledge on climate change challenges and solutions.

Experts and environmentalists from across the country will gather in Raipur to discuss the challenges of climate change

Raipur : The Department of Forest and Climate Change, Chhattisgarh Government, is organising a two-day Climate Change Conclave at a private hotel in Raipur on March 5 and 6. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai will grace the event as the chief guest. The experts will discuss the topic of the global challenges of climate change and its adverse impacts. They will share their experiences and insights into the topic. It will witness the participation of the 15 states and various national-level institutions. This conclave will pave the way for a greener Chhattisgarh in the era of sustainability.

It is noteworthy that due to the adverse effects of climate change, challenges such as irregular rainfall, prolonged droughts, cyclonic rainfall, and shifting monsoon seasons are being faced by countries worldwide as well as by states and regions within the country. The conclave will be organised by the Chhattisgarh State Centre for Climate Change, which is a nodal body in the state working on state action plans on climate change and related topics. This workshop will prove to be very useful for the state's role and future plans in dealing with the challenges of climate change.

Swami Ji's arrival in Chhattisgarh coincides with his participation in the Sant Samagam of Rajim Kumbh, alongside various other religious programmes across the state.

In his interaction with Swamiji, Chief Minister Shri Sai expressed his delight at the grand organization of the Rajim Kumbh Kalp this year, with saints coming from all corners of the country. Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai distributed aid to Divyangs in Bagiya, as part of the "Sashakt Jashpur" initiative. The distribution included disability certificates, bus passes, and essential equipment, aiming to empower individuals with disabilities in the region.

The primary goal of the "Sashakt Jashpur" campaign is to uplift Jashpur district across various domains such as health, education, employment, tourism, infrastructure, and utilities. Through detailed planning, the campaign aims to bring about holistic progress across all development blocks of the district.

As a part of the campaign's first phase, "From Disability to Empowerment" programme is being rolled out district-wide. This initiative involves identifying all Divyangs in the Jashpur district and ensuring they receive proper treatment, disability certificates, and necessary equipment. In addition, the programme offers employment prospects through skill development training for those interested.

The administration conducted a thorough survey in every ward of every Gram Panchayat in Jashpur district, revealing a total of 15,488 Divyangs. Among them, 884 individuals have expressed a keen interest in undergoing skill development training for employment opportunities, reflecting their enthusiasm towards empowerment.

Pulse Polio Immunisation drive from March 3 to 5 in the state

36.13 lakh children will receive two drops of the polio vaccine in the state

Raipur : Pulse Polio Immunisation drive under the Pulse Polio Immunisation programme will be conducted in the state from March 3 to March 5, 2024. The polio drops for children aged 0 to 5 years will be administered at the booths on the first day, March 3. The Healthcare Department will take up a drive to visit houses from March 4 to March 5 to administer polio drops to all children aged 0 to 5 years.

State Immunisation officer Dr. V. R. Bhagat has informed that vaccines and other necessary supplies for the campaign have been made available in the districts. The Health Department has set up 14,000 booths in urban and rural areas of the state to administer polio drops to over 36.13 lakh children this year. During the campaign, the transit team will focus on administering the vaccine to children in transit at places such as railway stations, bus stands, markets, brick kilns, slum areas, construction sites, etc.

The Health Department has provided training to vaccination teams at the village, sector, primary health centre, and block levels. Supervisors will oversee all booths during the campaign. All necessary preparations have been completed for the successful implementation of the Pulse Polio Campaign.

Raipur : As Holi, the vibrant festival of colours, approaches, members of the Jai Mata Di self-help group are gearing up by preparing herbal gulal. Utilizing natural ingredients including vegetables, herbs, and flowers, their goal is to promote a safe and eco-friendly celebration. The herbal gulal, prepared by the women Self-Help Group (SHG) associated with the village Dokarpali Bihaan in Mahasamund district, is free from chemicals and has no side effects on the skin.

Group member Smt. Chitrarekha Diwan stated that last year, the women produced 80 kg of herbal gulal during Holi, generating an income of Rs 30,000 to 40,000 for the group. With significant demand for gulal in the market during the festival, herbal gulal packets priced at Rs 10, Rs 20, and Rs 50 are swiftly sold. The process involves using all-natural ingredients like spinach, Lal Bhaji, turmeric, herbs, and flowers.

In addition, leftover petals from flower markets and flowers offered in temples are utilized. These petals are dried and then ground in the processing unit to create gulal. Varieties such as rose, marigold, beetroot, turmeric, mango, and green guava leaves are processed. This season, nearly 60 kg of gulal has been prepared, with half of the quantity already sold. The gulal is available in various colors including green, pink, yellow, and saffron, she said.

Bright future for children, Bastar's inclusive development a top priority: Shri Sai

Raipur : Demonstrating the state government's commitment to the welfare of residents in remote areas, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai distributed solar home lighting systems to 50 students from small hamlets in Konta block of Sukma district. The distribution took place at the Swami Vivekananda Airport premises in Raipur on Thursday, aiming to empower these children and pave the way for their brighter future.

Addressing the students, Chief Minister Shri Sai stressed the government's dedication to ensuring a bright future for children. He stated, "It is the effort of our government to ensure that the future of children is bright. Chhattisgarh Government is committed to providing all facilities to the citizens of the tribal-dominated Bastar region and its inclusive development. In keeping with this spirit, we have launched Niyad Nella Naar – Apka Accha Gaon Yojana, aiming to ensure that the benefits of welfare schemes reach tribal communities."

Chief Minister Shri Sai highlighted the government's goal of providing essential amenities including roads, electricity, water, housing, and healthcare facilities in Bastar. Stressing the importance of education and accessibility to government schemes for tribal communities' development he stated "There should be well-equipped schools for children's education. Aadhar cards and ration cards should be issued to everyone, enabling our tribal population in remote areas to participate in mainstream development. The development of the Bastar region is important for building a 'Viksit Chhattisgarh'."

While providing solar home lighting systems to students from Sukma, Chief Minister Shri Sai wished them a bright future, stating, "With the solar lights, you all will be able to study better." He encouraged students to take full advantage of opportunities and learn as much as possible during their visit to Raipur.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma assured students of providing facilities for better education and encouraged them to study diligently under solar light.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Shri Sai distributed solar home lighting systems to 50 students from villages Purvarti, Silger, and Tekalguda of the Konta development block in Sukma district. The kit comprises a 200-watt solar panel, a 12.28-volt battery, 05 LED lights, a DC fan, a DTH, and a mobile charging unit.

Jagdalpur MLA Shri Kiran Singhdeo, Shri Nitin Nabin Sinha, and other public representatives, along with Chief Minister's Secretary Shri P. Dayanand, CREDA Chief Executive Officer Shri Rajesh Singh Rana, and Raipur Collector Dr Gaurav Kumar Singh, were present on the occasion.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai announced today an investigation by the NIA into the murder case of Shri Sadharam in Kawardha.

Shri Sai said that recently, Shri Sadharam Yadav was brutally murdered. Merely condemning the incident is not enough. The relatives of Sadharam met with the Chief Minister, seeking justice. The culprits have been arrested in the case. They demanded a high-level investigation into the incident and strict punishment for the guilty.

The Chief Minister assured them and stated that the case would be handed over to the NIA for further investigation. The Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister of the state, Shri Vijay Sharma, was present.
