Mukhyamantri Bal Sandarbh Yojana : Malnourished children are being provided free health check-up, medicines and consultation facility from pediatricians

Mukhyamantri Bal Sandarbh Yojana is being conducted with an aim to reduce the rate of malnutrition in the state by providing nourishment and required facilities to the malnourished children. Under this scheme, about 1 lakh 46 thousand children have been brought out of the cycle of malnutrition in the year 22-23.

Through Mukhyamantri Bal Sandarbh Yojana, severely malnourished children are provided medical check-up facilities, medicines prescribed by doctors and consultation with pediatricians as per requirement. This facility is provided in every development block by marking 2 days in a month as reference days. Infections in children are identified through medical examination. Health checkup facility of worth up to a maximum of Rs 300 is provided in private medical institutes.

Under the scheme, medicines of up to a maximum of Rs 500 per beneficiary are provided in a year and if necessary, medicines worth more than this amount are also provided after consultation with the medical officer concerned. There is a provision of an honorarium of Rs 1000 and travel expenses up to Rs 500 as a mark of respect for the services of private pediatricians. Moreover, funds are also provided to Anganbadi workers to meet the expense of commute for health checkup of malnourished children.

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has greeted the people of state on Hindi Diwas. He stated that the official language Hindi is extremely rich and vibrant, with a comprehensive nature. Its script, Devanagari, is one of the oldest and most scientific scripts in the world. Hindi is a continuously evolving language. Its vocabulary draws from both Sanskrit and numerous indigenous and foreign languages.He emphasised  that due to the simplicity of Hindi, He mentioned that Hindi, being a simple language ,has played a crucial role in uniting the country under one thread. The qualities of Hindi elevate it beyond just a language and establish it as a culture. Today, Hindi has become the language of the masses.

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel also quoted the famous poet Bharatendu Harishchandra, who said, ,,Nij Bhasha Unnati Aahe, Sab Unnati Ko Mul." This means that without the advancement of one's mother tongue, the progress of any society is not possible. He urged everyone to work with determination to uphold the dignity and importance of all official languages.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday performed Bhoomipujan and laid the foundation stone for three significant projects including 'Commercial Hub,' 'Aerocity,' and 'Shaheed Smarak' in Sector 35 of Atal Nagar Nava Raipur.

In his address on this momentous occasion, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel emphasized the significance of the day, noting that it marked the foundation stone laying of the country's largest wholesale commercial market in the Nava Raipur. This development is expected to generate employment opportunities for lakhs of people in the state.

Chief Minister stated that these Bhoomipujans, foundation stone laying events, and inaugurations are being carried out with a future-oriented perspective. The people of the state had expectations from us, and to fulfil these expectations, we have taken a significant stride forward.

Shri Baghel stressed that it is the government's responsibility to create a conducive environment for people to prosper, and they have successfully done so for the state's farmers. Additionally, efforts have been made to enhance school education, promote Chhattisgarh's rich culture, and boost tourism within the state.

Furthermore, Shri Baghel mentioned that the government is actively working to foster an environment favourable for industrial growth. He encouraged industrialists to contribute to making Chhattisgarh's Industrial Policy the best in the country. As a result of these efforts, the state has witnessed an increase in the number of industries, leading to a boost in employment opportunities for its citizens.

Businessmen to get plots at Rs 540 per sqft in Nava Raipur's Commercial Hub

During the programme, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel responded to the demands of the business community by making a significant announcement. He declared that commercial plots would be allocated to businessmen in the Commercial Hub of Nava Raipur at the rate of Rs 540 per sqft. Additionally, he mentioned that the state government would bear the additional cost required for the construction of the Commercial Hub due to this announcement.

While presiding over the programme, Housing and Environment Minister Shri Mohammad Akbar stated that the Chhattisgarh Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, is actively working to ensure economic stability for the common people. He stressed that the government's foremost priority is to create employment opportunities, thus ensuring continuous development in Chhattisgarh.

The 'Commercial Hub' is being developed in an area spanning 1083 acres within sectors 23, 24, 34, 35, and 40 of Nava Raipur, with the goal of promoting investment and commercial activities. Similarly, to improve passenger facilities, stimulate commercial growth in the airport vicinity, and generate employment opportunities, 'Aerocity' is being established in a designated 216.63-acre area near Swami Vivekananda Airport in the villages of Baroda and Ramchandi.

The 'Shaheed Smarak' is being established in the VIP Battalion in the village Parsada (Sector-3) in Nava Raipur, covering an area of 13 acres.

Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain visited the Sehat Bazar Millet Café situated near Dalpat Sagar Island of Jagdalpur on Sunday. During his visit, he learned about the dishes prepared from Bastar's traditional small grain crop, Kodo-Kutki and Ragi. He relished the delicious taste of Dosa, Vada, and Pizza made from Ragi and appreciated the dishes. Various works include the construction of Lord Shri Ram's statue at a cost of Rs. 8 crores 29 lakh, Shri Ram Vatika, lamp, LED branding, statues of Saptarishi, entrance gate, 01 cottage, parking, approach road, tourist information centre, culvert construction, cottage construction, lawn development, installation of CCTV, yagyashala, development of places associated with Saptrishi, electrification, construction of overhead water tank, construction of stairs, modular shop, gazebo and guard room. The inauguration of various works includes the inauguration of a curtain wall at Shringi Rishi ashram (with Mural), entrance gate, railing and construction of shed, gazebo, electrification, beautification, construction of yagyashala (on hills), internet plumbing, beautification of Shri Hanuman Mandir located near Shringi Ashram, development of pathway, tourist centre and various works.

 Motor vehicle registrations in Chhattisgarh witnessed a significant increase over the past year, more than 13,000 new registrations recorded in one year

Following rhe directions of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, and Transport Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar, the Transport Department is continuously launching innovative initiatives to enhance public services, including smooth transportation. In this context, with a focus on facilitating the buying and selling of vehicles, the number of vehicle registrations in the state has been steadily increasing. In August 2022, there were 30,236 vehicle registrations in the state, while by August 2023, has risen to 39,509 vehicle registrations. Compared to the year 2022, there has been a growth of approximately one-third, which is about 30.66 percent, in vehicle registrations in the year 2023.

Mr. Dipanshu Kabra, the Transport Commissioner, has stated that, the highest number of motor vehicle registrations in the state has been recorded from August 2022 to August 2023 in the Raipur regional transport office. Under this, a total of 8,143 motor vehicles have been registered. Among these, 1,710 motor vehicles have been registered under the Surguja regional transport office, 3,213 under the Bilaspur regional transport office, 3,515 under the Durg regional transport office, and 1,169 under the Jagdalpur regional transport office. These vehicles include tractors, ambulances, buses, e-rickshaws, cargo carriers, harvesters, taxis (cabs), motorcycles, heavy vehicles, and more.

Similarly, registrations of motor vehicles in district transport offices is as follows: 637 in Baikunthpur, 724 in Balod, 1,178 in Balodabazar-Bhatapara, 593 in Balrampur, 641 in Bemetara, 264 in Bijapur, 389 in Dantewada, 1,090 in Dhamtari, 479 in Gariyaband, 325 in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, 1,917 in Janjgir-Champa, 958 in Jashpur, 1,147 in Kanker, 961 in Kawardha, 738 in Kondagaon, 2,084 in Korba, 1,409 in Mahasamund, 660 in Mungeli, 225 in Narayanpur, 1,999 in Rajnandgaon, 245 in Sukma, 559 in Surajpur, and 2,537 in Raigarh.

The Chhattisgarh Government has embarked on a pioneering initiative to harness the creative potential of its youth. Under the banner of "Garhbo Nava Chhattisgarh," Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has taken a significant step in engaging the state's young population in transformative endeavours. To facilitate this, the state government has established 13,242 Rajiv Yuva Mitan Clubs in the state, serving as platforms for youth participation in innovative projects. A remarkable 3,32,242 youths from the state have enthusiastically joined these clubs, marking a historic milestone. Chhattisgarh now stands as the first Indian state to mobilise its youth on such a grand scale for creative pursuits.

Inspired by the potential of Chhattisgarh's youth, the Chief Minister initiated the visionary concept of Rajiv Yuva Mitan Clubs. 'Mitan' translates to 'friend' in Chhattisgarh’s language, and the club encapsulates the spirit of companionship and collaboration among the members. Comprising a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 40 members, these clubs symbolise the power of collective enthusiasm. Launched on February 3, 2022, the Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club Scheme represents a groundbreaking effort to harness youth energy for creative endeavours. It not only fosters Chhattisgarh's culture, environment, and sports but also serves as a means to bring public welfare schemes closer to the people.

The state government is providing an annual grant of Rs. 1 lakh at a rate of Rs. 25,000 quarterly. This financial support empowers youth to organise events and pursue creative initiatives, fostering a vibrant atmosphere of enthusiasm and innovation.

The state government has distributed Rs. 132 crore to these youth clubs, igniting transformative changes across Chhattisgarh. An illustration of this impactful initiative can be found in Charbhantha, a village in Rajnandgaon district, where the Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club members established an information kiosk. This kiosk serves as a vital source of awareness, offering crucial information to the community. Govind Sahu, a club member, highlighted its importance, explaining how they reassure villagers during health crises by informing them about the Mukhyamantri Vishesh Swasthya Sahayata Yojana, which covers treatments up to Rs 25 lakh. Additionally, the club actively educates locals about the importance of clean drinking water sources and encourages pond cleaning. In Rajnandgaon's Anjora village, club members undertook a remarkable vaccination drive, visiting every household to ensure COVID-19 vaccination coverage. In Chinch village of the Raigarh district, the club spearheaded a massive afforestation campaign. They also monitored school attendance, ensuring that all children attended school. These accomplishments demonstrate the profound impact of the Rajiv Yuva Mitan Clubs on the state's communities.

Urban youth clubs are thriving in Chhattisgarh cities, with a focus on cultural engagement. Bhilai, for instance, hosts debating clubs that organise cultural competitions. The past 4.5 years have witnessed the construction of numerous sports complexes, and the Rajiv Yuva Mitan Clubs play a pivotal role in organising sports events, contributing significantly to the vibrant cultural and athletic landscape of the region.

 RIPA's Impact: Edka village panchayat's craftsmen and artists secure Rs 30 lakh order

RIPA scheme is proving to be a cornerstone in strengthening the rural economy

RIPA in the Edka village panchayat of Narayanpur district, being operated under the ambitious Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park scheme of the Chhattisgarh Government, is making remarkable progress. Presently, active operations are underway in three units - woodcraft, pottery, and handloom - involving nearly 50 men and women who are employed. Across the district, there are four operational RIPAs including one each in Edka, Chhotedongar, Orchha, Koliyari, engaging nearly 200 individuals in around 18 different activities. The Edka RIPA is specifically tailored to empower local craftsmen and artists.

Artists and craftsmen associated with this center have collectively received orders worth Rs 30 lakh. Beneficiaries are being furnished with essential resources including workspace, infrastructure, electricity, drinking water, sanitation facilities, machinery, raw materials, and free-of-cost training. Post-training, the artworks crafted by these artists are being sold to institutions through contractual agreements at various locations.

Members specializing in woodcraft and pottery stated that they previously faced challenges in securing work. They would only receive irregular small assignments, making their living exceedingly difficult. With the establishment of RIPA in the village, all artisans now collaborate under a single roof, ensuring a consistent flow of work. They further said that they have secured an order valued at Rs 20 lakh for crafting wooden tables and benches for schools. Additionally, there is a Rs 10 lakh contract underway for pottery artworks. We are extremely pleased with receiving orders and are working overtime to fulfil them. Undoubtedly, the RIPA scheme stands as a pivotal element in strengthening the rural economy, they said.
