Tendupatta Collection Year 2023: Rs 822 crore generated in first and second tenders, 68 per cent quantity sold
117 bidders from across the country participated in the first tender

In the first and second tenders of the Tendupatta collection for the year 2023, 68 per cent of the notified quantity in the state was sold at an average rate of Rs 7,199 per standard bag, totaling to Rs 822 crore. The third cycle of online tenders was invited from January 31 to February 3, 2023, for the advance sale of the notified quantity of Tendu leaves.
According to the information received from the Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce Co-operative Federation Limited, a post-bid sale management software has been developed for further online action after the sale of Tendupatta. Using this software, the buyer appointment order, buyer agreement, and other tasks will be conducted online by the buyers, allowing those from remote areas to complete all necessary work from their location. This year, the Minor Forest Produce Federation will pay special attention to the quality of Tendu leaves before collection, ensuring that collectors can gather high-quality leaves and receive maximum collection remuneration.
It is worth mentioning that the state government has increased the tendu leaf collection rate from Rs 2,500 per standard bag to Rs 4,000 per standard bag since the year 2019. In Chhattisgarh, online tenders were invited for the first cycle of advance sale of 954 lots of 902 primary minor forest produce cooperative societies and the notified quantity of 16.72 lakh standard bags of Tendupatta to be collected in 2023, from December 15, 2022, to December 21, 2022, and for the second cycle from January 10, 2023, to January 13, 2023. Given the high quality of Tendu leaves in the state of Chhattisgarh, 117 bidders from across the country participated in the first tender for the Tendupatta collection year 2023.

Mr. Baghel was addressing the online distribution program of cow dung purchase and dividend amount to cattle rearing villages, women groups, and Gauthan committees at his residential office today. After payment of 8.23 crores, this figure will become Rs.403 crores 58 lakhs. Similarly, after payment of Rs 4.76 crore to cow dung vendors, this figure will be Rs 206 crore 49 lakh. Expressing happiness over the power units started for power generation from cow dung, he directed to connect the power generated from these units to the power grid and fix the price of electricity.
The Chief Minister stated that it is a matter of pride that 4927 Gauthans have become self-reliant in the state and have begun purchasing cow dung from their own savings. As of now, the Gauthan groups that used to make earthen lamps, vermicompost, etc. will now be contributing towards the production of electricity. As per the MOU signed for power generation in the past, Bemetara and Bastar have taken concrete shape at the ground level and Now the task of connecting the electricity produced by it to the power grid and fixing the price of the electricity produced from it will be completed soon.
While reviewing the unit for making paint from cow dung, the Chief Minister said that it is a matter of happiness that 23 paint units are under process in 21 districts, and 13 units have been completed. More than 17 thousand liters of paint has been produced and an income of more than 22 lakh rupees has been earned. He said that schools and government offices will soon require a large amount of paint, so we have to produce natural paint by balancing the demand and supply so that paint can be supplied at the right time.

Raipur, 6 February 2023/ Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel reviewed the budget preparations of his departments and also of the departments under Cabinet Ministers Mr. Ravindra Choubey, Mr. Mohammad Akbar and Mr. Kawasi Lakhma in a meeting held at his residence office here today.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated Rajeev Sarovar in Patan

Continuous works are being done for rapid development of civic amenities and infrastructure in Patan. The lakes of the city are being beautified and developed as recreational spots. In this sequence, the deepening and beautification work of Nakta Talab, the main pond of the city, has been done. The cost of establishing Rajiv Sarovar Garden is Rs 5.80 crore. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the garden on Saturday.
Appreciating the beautification work, the Chief Minister said that it has become an eye-catching garden and a nice place for people to hang out in the morning and evening. The beauty of this pond has been enhanced with the beautification works.
Patan Nagar Panchayat President Shri Bhupendra Kashyap and other public representatives were present on this occasion. Collector Shri Pushpendra Meena and SP Dr. Abhishek Pallav and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
