Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana proves to be a boon for Dulara Bai
Mungeli TNINS
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is proving to be a boon for people who can't afford to construct their own house due to financial constraints. One such example is Dulara Bai, hailing from village Deori (A) of the Mungeli Janpad area, who always dreamt of building her own pucca house. However, her dream remained unfulfilled due to her weak economic condition. She availed the benefit of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and upgraded her kaccha house to a 'pucca' one.
Our financial condition was very weak. I could barely afford the food and some daily necessity of the family using the money earned from doing labor work in our village. Water leaked into the walls of the house through the roof in the rainy season and we had to face a lot of difficulties. I always dreamt of having my own pucca house where we could live peacefully", said Dulara Bai.
She added that her dream got true when she was introduced to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Now she enjoys the rainy season. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel for the pucca house. It is worth mentioning that under the guidance of Collector Shri Rahul Dev, better implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is being done in the district and eligible beneficiaries are being benefited with the construction of pucca houses under the scheme.
