Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today inaugurated the modern composite indoor firing range 'Lakshya' at the Police Training School located in Mana, Raipur. To further improve the policing service in the city, Chief Minister flagged off the new police vehicles and inaugurated various buildings including the cyber police station, and the women's help desk equipped with modern technology and police facilities on the occasion. The firing range 'Lakshya' has been built as per the international standard at a cost of Rs 6.67 crore, to provide better training to the Chhattisgarh Police. The program was presided over by Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu.

In his address to the programme, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that police service plays an important role in maintaining peace, law and order in the state. Hence, we are taking every necessary step to strengthen the police service in Chhattisgarh. In the same sequence, special emphasis is being given on providing a better environment, better facilities and better resources to the police department.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that he is happy to inaugurate the modern composite indoor firing range 'Lakshya' today. It is an important step of the State Government towards modernization of the police force. This ultra modern firing range will help enhance the strength and skills of the police force, enabling them to discharge their duties in a better way. He said that police force has done excellent work towards maintaining the peace and security of the state. Chhattisgarh has a better state of law and order as compared to the other states of the country. This has been an important achievement of the policing service in Chhattisgarh.

Addressing on the occasion, Home Minister Mr. Sahu said that  consistent steps are being taken by the government towards ensuring development and establishing security in the state. Furthermore, state-of-the-art facilities are being provided to strengthen the police services in the state. Director General of Police Mr. Ashok Juneja and Additional Director General of Police Mr. Pradeep Gupta informed about the innovative initiatives being taken in the field of policing service in Chhattisgarh.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel also inaugurated range-level new cyber police stations in Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg, Bastar and Surguja on this occasion. Cyber police stations have been started to curb the increasing number of cyber crimes nowadays. Mr. Baghel also inaugurated the new improved police station buildings at Bade Dongar in Kondagaon district, in Farasgaon and Sonpur of Narayanpur district, in Balrampur Chalgali and Ramchandrapur areas of Balrampur district, Saraipali, Duhlu and Komakhan area of Mahasamund district, in Katekalyan area of Dantewada district, Chilfi and Singhanpuri in Kabirdham district and Patankhas in Rajnandgaon district. 

At the programme, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel laid the foundation of residences for 16 non-gazetted, 32 head constables and constables of 16th Battalion, Chasbal Narayanpur, and police transit hostel buildings in districts Balrampur, Raipur and Durg. He also handed over the keys of 67 new two wheelers (scooties) for women help desks and 155 new Bolero vehicles for district police units to the police department.

Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel attended the state-level conference of the Junior Administrative Services Association organised on Sunday, with a focus on the revenue department's contribution to agriculture and farmers' development. He announced that the state government has decided to grant the status of gazetted officer to the Naib Tehsildar. He also released a souvenir titled "Bhuiyan Ke Mitan" at the event. Addressing the issue of promotion as demanded by the Junior Administrative Services Association, the Chief Minister guaranteed to provide timely promotions to eligible officers.

Praising the efforts of junior administrative service officers and employees, the Chief Minister highlighted their diverse responsibilities in contributing to the administration. He acknowledged Chhattisgarh's commendable work during the COVID disaster, earning widespread recognition across the country for the revenue officers' significant role in assisting the people.

Praising the Junior Administrative Services officers and employees, the Chief Minister shared the remarkable achievement of the state government in allocating 1.5 lakh acres of land for Gauthans across the state without any complaints. He commended the officer's and employees' dedication, which enabled the issuance of caste certificates, nomination certificates, and partition certificates to residents in the remote Sukma district, and delivered these certificates to their homes.

During the conference, Revenue Minister Mr. Jaisingh Agrawal shared that the Chief Minister fulfilled the demand for new tehsils and subdivisions as requested by local residents. The establishment of new districts aims to enhance the public's convenience and improve the state government's accessibility to the people.

 Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyan helps Bhiyan overcome malnutrition

From 7.2 kg to 11.9 kg: Bhiyan's inspiring transformation with nutritious meals

'Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyan' in Chhattisgarh is leaving no stone unturned to combat malnutrition and anaemia in the state. As part of this comprehensive initiative, Anganwadi centers are providing nutritious hot meals to children and women, yielding positive results and bringing smiles to many faces. Over the past four and half years, around 2.65 lakh children have been successfully freed from malnutrition, while 1.05 lakh women have recovered from anaemia. Among those who have benefited are Smt. Tomeshwari Patel and her son Bhiyan Patel from Baiga Khamariya village in Sector Patparpali of Mahasamund district.

Bhiyan Patel was once a victim of severe malnutrition, experiencing a constant decrease in weight, which plunged to a mere 7.2 Kg. The little one appeared sad and disinterested in eating. However, the intervention of an Anganwadi worker during a home visit brought hope. They provided valuable information about nutrition-related practices, and with the provision of hot nutritious meals at the Bagh Khamhariya Anganwadi under the Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyan, Bhiyan's weight witnessed a remarkable increase of two Kgs within five months, propelling him out of the severe malnutrition category.

Officials stated that in May 2022, Bhiyan's weight was measured and found to be significantly below the expected weight for his age, classifying him in the severe malnutrition category. The Anganwadi center introduced him to ready-to-eat food and khichdi gradually, making sincere efforts to boost his interest in eating. Additionally, his parents received counselling and actively engaged with him during mealtime. Regular monitoring and follow-ups by officials further contributed to his progress. As a result, on October 10, 2022, he moved to the medium-weight category. This remarkable transformation has brought immense joy to his family. Bhiyan's weight has now increased from 7.2 kg to 11.9 kg, marking a significant achievement in his journey towards better health.

 Ensuring Citizens' Convenience: Raipur Airport-Durg AC city bus service commences operations

The fully air-conditioned city bus service from Raipur Airport to Durg was launched today. The bus departed from the Swami Vivekananda Airport, Raipur this morning at 10:15. This bus service will offer improved facilities to the passengers traveling from Durg to the airport and vice versa.

The bus will operate from the Vivekananda Airport to Durg city, passing through Telibandha, Pachpedi Naka, Bhatagaon, Tatibandh, Power House, and Nehru Nagar. The bus will depart from the Vivekananda Airport at 8:30 am, 10:15 am, 02:30 pm, and 6:30 pm, respectively.

Similarly, this fully air-conditioned bus will travel from Durg to Supela, Power House, Bhilai-3, Tatibandh, and Telibandha, reaching the airport. The bus will depart from Durg at 7:50 am, 10:45 am, 12:50 pm, and 4:45 pm.

The fare for this bus from the Airport to Raipur city will be Rs 40, and the fare from the Airport to Durg will be Rs 100.

 Mukhyamantri School Jatan Yojana : renovation of 1914 school buildings

Under the Mukhyamantri School Jatan Yojana, 1914 school buildings have been renovated in the state thus far. Renovation work includes roof repairs, wall painting, toilet refurbishment, and overall beautification. School buildings are painted utilizing natural cow dung paint, making them visually attractive. The schools where renovation work was completed now have a completely transformed look. These schools will provide a conducive environment for students to learn. Earlier, the school building was in a dilapidated condition, water used to drip from the roof during the rainy season, now it has been thoroughly restored due to the repair of the roof. Children will now be safe and feel good studying. With the Mukhyamantri School Jatan Yojana, children will now get better school buildings and study well.

There are 29162 schools registered under the scheme,and the cost for renovating these schools is approximately 2133.60 crores. At present, the first installment of Rs 477.06 crore is released to the districts to start the work. As of today, 1914 works have been completed, and works in more than 14,000 is in progress.

Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain chaired a high-level meeting, to formulate an action plan, in consonance with the instruction issued by the High Court, to address the issue of animal movement on roads. The meeting was held at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan on Monday. During the meeting, extensive discussions were held with officials from various departments to address this issue effectively. The Chief Secretary emphasized the urgency of taking appropriate measures to halt the movement of animals on roads. He instructed the officials of the Public Works Department, National Highways Authority of India, and local bodies to identify accident-prone areas on the basis of past year’s incidences.

The Chief Secretary gathered information about Gaushalas, Gauthans, Kanji House, and other animal shelters from Livestock Development Department officials. He emphasized advising cattle herders to prevent their animals from wandering onto roads. The Law Department officers were also directed to update information on relevant legal provisions. Mr. Sanjay Sharma, representing the Transport Department, shared the report on the ongoing efforts towards achieving cattle-free roads, in accordance with the decisions made during the state-level road safety review meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary.

In the classrooms of Government Gokulram Verma Primary School in Raipur, a remarkable tale of inspiration unfolded, all thanks to one exceptional teacher Smt. Janhvi Yadu. Her unique and heartwarming initiative had the schoolchildren beaming with joy and enthusiasm. With the goal of fostering a better learning environment and instilling discipline, Smt. Yadu decided to do something truly remarkable. She brought an unexpected twist to her teaching approach by coming to school donning a school uniform. 

The impact was immediate–the children connected with her on a whole new level. The sight of their beloved teacher in school uniform became an inspiration in itself. Encouraged by her gesture, students who did not wear school uniforms started coming to school wearing uniforms too. However, Smt. Yadu's efforts didn't stop there. She wanted to understand her student's level of understanding as well. So, she sat among them, wearing the same uniform they did, breaking down barriers between teacher and student. This sparked a newfound motivation in the students, and they willingly sought her guidance without any hesitation.

For Smt. Janhvi Yadu, being a teacher means more than imparting knowledge; it means being a role model. She believes that children learn not just from what they are taught but also by observing their teachers closely. By following the rules and demonstrating discipline, she has become their source of inspiration. "To motivate the children to study, I began coming to school in a completely new get-up, resulting in numerous interesting experiences. Fellow teachers were sometimes puzzled when they couldn't recognize me, while the children treated me as one of their peers", she said.

Eight-year-old kid Varsha was hearing impaired by birth, which means she had not heard his mother's voice ever since she was born. But now, after having undergone a cochlear implant in AIIMs on instructions of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, Varsha can now listen. She is elated to listen to her mother's voice, hear her father address her with affection and all the beautiful sounds around. 

Today, Varsha and her family reached Vidhan Sabha premise and they were at a loss of words to thank Chief Minister. Varsha thanked Chief Minister in her sweet voice saying 'Dhanyawad Kaka'. Chief Minister also responded to her with a lot of affection. Varsha's cochlear implant was conducted in AIIMS Raipur successfully, as per the instructions of Chief Minister. As a result, Little Varsha can now hear her parents' voices for the first time in her life. 

Chief Minister was overwhelmed to hear Varsha address him as 'Kaka', and he showered her with blessings. Expressing gratitude, Varsha's family presented Chief Minister a portrait of him. Chief Minister assured them that they will be provided every possible support so that Varsha can learn new words and gain linguistic knowledge through speech therapy.

For eight years, Varsha struggled with listening and speaking because of her hearing impairment, and her mother was miserable seeing her daughter struggle. This painful experience might have lasted a lifetime, had the Chief Minister not gone on Bhent Mulaqat visit to Koriya. When Chief Minister came on the Bhent-Mulaqat visit, Varsha's family got the opportunity to share their grievances with him in person. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel immediately directed the officials of the district administration to make arrangements for Varsha's surgery. On the instructions of Chief Minister, Varsha's cochlear implant surgery was arranged and today Varsha can now listen to the sounds around. 

Varsha's father Mr. Mukesh Mishra said that Varsha was admitted to Raipur AIIMS with the help of the administration and her cochlear implant surgery was performed successfully by skilled doctors. Father Mr. Mishra tells that Varsha has now started hearing and she is reacting to the sounds. Now she is also slowly learning to speak. Expressing happiness, Varsha's parents and relatives said that Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel is empathetic and kind, and today Varsha has got a new life because of his support. On this occasion, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Chandradev Rai, MLA Mr. Vinay Jaiswal, Mr. Kuldeep Juneja and Mr. Mukesh Mishra, Mrs. Jyoti Mishra and others were present.

 Cabinet sub-committee meeting held to discuss paddy procurement arrangements

Officials directed to ensure smooth paddy procurement with adequate facilities

According to the recent announcement made by Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, registered farmers in Chhattisgarh will have the opportunity to sell paddy at a rate of 20 quintals per acre during the upcoming 2023-2024 kharif marketing season. A meeting of the Cabinet sub-committee--constituted to review policies for paddy procurement and custom milling and recommend suggestions--chaired by Food Minister Shri Amarjeet, was held today in the Assembly Hall located in the Vidhan Sabha premises. It is worth mentioning that the state government has set an estimated target of purchasing 125 lakh metric tonnes of paddy from registered farmers in the upcoming Kharif marketing year 2023-24.

Detailed discussions were held for the determination of policy regarding paddy and maize procurement at support price, farmer registration, gunny bags, and financial arrangements for the upcoming 2023-24 Kharif marketing season. During the meeting, Agriculture Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu and Forest Minister Shri Mohammad Akbar, alongside Cooperative Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey who participated through video conferencing, were present. The ministers stated that the systematic paddy procurement process is carried out through cooperative societies in the state. They stressed the need to further strengthen these cooperative societies. 

The state has witnessed a remarkable increase in the number of farmers and area under cultivation over the past four and half years, thanks to the farmer-centric policies and decisions implemented by the state government led by Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel. The agricultural sector has also experienced significant expansion in terms of production. The pioneering initiatives of the state government have greatly facilitated the smooth conduct of paddy procurement and paddy lifting processes. To further support farmers and ensure smooth paddy sales, comprehensive preparations are underway this year as well to provide them with the necessary facilities.

Officials informed the meeting that an estimated 33.61 lakh hectares of land in the state will be under paddy cultivation during the upcoming kharif season. As per Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel's announcement, paddy will be procured from farmers at a rate of 20 quintals per acre in the 2023-24 Kharif Marketing Year. Consequently, comprehensive preparations are underway to strengthen the paddy procurement system within cooperative societies to facilitate the estimated procurement. The preparations involve crucial tasks, including farmer registration, arrangement of gunny bags, enhancement of amenities at procurement centers, and ensuring streamlined payment arrangements for farmers.

Chief Minister marked the beginning of the event by waving the green flag, symbolizing the start of the 'Gedi' race. Additionally, he personally distributed sports equipment to the participating players.

Chhattisgarhia Olympics, now in its second year, has gained immense popularity. To cater to the growing interest traditional sports including rope jumping and wrestling are now a part of this event for the first time. The event will feature competitions of 16 traditional sports in 6 phases, providing a platform for athletes to showcase their skills and compete at various levels. Over 30 lakh female and male participants will take part in the Chhattisgarhia Olympics in three different age groups.

Age and physical disabilities fail to dampen the participants' spirits

Last year's Chhattisgarhiya Olympics witnessed an impressive turnout, with over 25 lakh participants from rural areas and more than 130,000 from urban areas. Remarkably, the event witnessed various moments where age and physical disabilities failed to dampen the participants' spirits. In the Fugdi category, 65-year-old Mrs. Ashobai from Hardi Gram Panchayat of Raipur division won in the above-40 age group, playing for an astonishing 1 hour, 31 minutes, and 58 seconds, displaying her unwavering passion. Another remarkable story is that of Gubbari, a resident of Sargipali village in Bastar district, who defied physical limitations and adverse circumstances to participate in the Olympics with the utmost vigour. Despite lacking the palm of his left hand, Gubbari excelled in various sports at the Rajiv Yuva Mitan club level, including team sports like Kabaddi and Kho-Kho. The Chhattisgarhiya Olympics is not only providing a platform for athletes to showcase their talent but also opening doors for further sports-related opportunities. The state government has granted a golden opportunity to Nabonita Baira, who performed astonishingly in the Chhattisgarhiya Olympics 2022–23, to receive training at the Bilaspur Sports Academy.

Players will compete in 16 different games in Chhattisgarhiya Olympics 2023-24

Chhattisgarhiya Olympics will be conducted in two categories, team and single. The team category will include games like ‘Gilli Danda’, ‘Pittul’, ‘Sankhali’, ‘Langdi Daud’, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, ‘Rassa Kassi’ (Tug of War), and Baati (Kancha). In the single category, participants can compete in ‘Billas’, ‘Fugdi’, ‘Gedi Daud’, ‘Bhawara’, the 100-metre race, the long jump, Rope Jumping, and Wrestling.

Competition for the first level commences at Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club with a knockout format

Chhattisgarhiya Olympics is set to commence with a series of competitions at various levels, providing opportunities for athletes in both rural and urban areas. The tournament will commence on July 17 and run until July 22 at the Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club, using a knockout format. Following this, the second level, called the ‘Zone Level’, will feature eight Rajiv Yuva Mitan Clubs forming a single Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club group at the Zone Level, and the group formed at this level will compete with each other from July 26 to July 31. The event will then progress to the development block and urban cluster levels from August 7 to August 21. Subsequently, the district-level competitions will take place from August 25 to September 4, followed by the divisional level from September 10 to September 20. Lastly, the final phase of the Chhattisgarhiya Olympics will be held from September 25 to September 27. The Chhattisgarhiya Olympics will conclude on September 27.

Participants of all age groups are eligible for Chhattisgarhiya Olympics

The Chhattisgarhiya Olympics will feature participants divided into three age categories. The first category includes participants up to 18 years of age; the second category includes participants aged 18 to 40 years; and the third category includes participants above 40 years of age. Both male and female participants will have the opportunity to compete in this event.

Cash prizes to be awarded to winners of Chhattisgarhiya Olympics

In the upcoming Chhattisgarhiya Olympics, participants who excel in their respective events will not only receive recognition through certificates but also be rewarded with prize money. At the development block and urban cluster level, the winners will receive Rs. 1,000, the runner-up will receive Rs. 750, and the third-place contestants will receive Rs. 500, along with certificates. At district level, the winners will receive certificates and Rs. 2,000 in cash, while the runners-up will receive Rs. 1,500, and those in third place will receive Rs. 1,000. At the divisional level, the winner will receive Rs. 3,000, the runner-up will receive Rs. 2,500, and the third-place competitors will receive Rs. 2,000, in addition to certificates. Lastly, at the state-level competition, the top-ranked contestants will receive ₹5,000, the second-place contestants will receive ₹4,500, and the third-place contestants will receive ₹4,000, along with certificates.

Safety First: First-aid facilities at all levels will be available for participants in Chhattisgarhiya Olympics

The organising committee of the Chhattisgarhiya Olympics has prioritised the safety and well-being of participants by implementing several measures. First aid kits will be made available at each event level, and efforts will be made to ensure local emergency medical facilities are accessible. The committee will also be responsible for arranging ambulances at the venue. In a move to promote gender equality, the Sports and Youth Welfare Department has mandated the appointment of women referees and judges for women players. Additionally, players at all levels of the event must possess valid identity certificates, as per the department's instructions.

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel interacted with the artists of Chhattisgarh today during his Bhent Mulakat program. He discussed various issues in the program with Padma Shri award winners, state award winners, folk artists, film artists, technicians, and producer-directors.             

Congratulating everyone and expressing his best wishes for Hareli Tihar, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that eminent artists are present here today, and I welcome all of you. As I have come here, I will get a selfie clicked with all of you. Artists have significantly contributed to preserving and beautifying the cultural and traditional heritage of Chhattisgarh.           

The Chief Minister paid tribute to the late Mr. Habib Tanvir. He also remembered the founder of Chandaini Gonda, the late Mr. Khuman Sav, and appreciated his incomparable contribution. He said that Chhattisgarh received special recognition through folk art. The Director of Culture Department Mr. Vivek Acharya, Padma Shri Mr. Bharti Bandhu, Padma Shri Mr. Madan Chauhan, Padma Shri Ms. Usha Barle, Producer-Director Mr. Manoj Verma, Mr. Satish Jain, Mrs. Rajni Rajak and artists from all over the state were present on the occasion.           

The Chief Minister further said during the program that when the artists give their presentations, they underline the sentiments of society and give expression to them through their performances. He said that many folk art styles are prevalent, and artists have invented new styles in many genres. Pandwani is only sung in Chhattisgarh in the whole country. Artists of Chhattisgarh have bestowed international recognition on genres like Bharthari and Panthi.

The Chief Minister said that the artists have helped popularize Chhattisgarh's cuisine, dialect, music, songs, and dance styles from north to south and east to west. There was a time when Nacha was performed by burning torches. Then came the era of mike set. He said that the National Ramayana Competition was organized in Raigarh, and the government is committed to developing the Ram Van Gaman Tourism Circuit. He reiterated the point of constructing a model Jaitkhamb in every development block headquarters in the state.         

The Chief Minister also narrated his experiences related to his childhood in the program. He said that his childhood was associated with artists, and folk art influenced his life. Earlier, when Chhattisgarh was mentioned, there used to be discussions of Naxal incidents and the martyrdom of soldiers. Now the culture and traditions of the state have emerged as a prominent topic of discussion.

The Chief Minister said that we have launched schemes while keeping in mind the people belonging to every class, and I'm happy that artists are also getting their benefits. People of all categories are participating enthusiastically in the Chhattisgarhi Olympics. We have declared 'Arpa Pari ke Dhar' as the state anthem. We have declared holidays on Teej-Tihar so that everyone can celebrate these festivals.         

The Chief Minister said that the joy of Teej-Tihar is doubled if one has money in their pocket. We have given loans to the farmers and are allocating money under various schemes from time to time. Earlier, people used to hesitate about eating Bore Basi, but now, after the declaration of Labor Day as Bore Basi Day on May 1, everyone not only relishes the dish but also uploads photos on social media.

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel interacted with social media content creators and influencers during the 'Kaka Meet Creators' event held in Raipur on July 15. The gathering provided an opportunity for content creators from across the state to interact directly with the Chief Minister. They asked him intriguing questions, and he responded in his distinctive style, fostering an engaging and insightful session.

The gathering witnessed the presence of YouTubers and content creators related to art, culture, entertainment, food, tourism, dialect, radio, wildlife, adventure, information, photography, and videography. The Chief Minister interacted with the people present at the event and addressed their questions. He emphasised that everyone has a mobile phone and urged the content creators to contribute positively to society through their online presence.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel expressed his condolences for the late YouTuber Devraj Patel, highlighting the valuable contributions made by social media creators in Chhattisgarh. Responding to a female content creator, the Chief Minister fondly recalled watching movies with his wife. He even recognised a creator from the Patan area by mentioning his father's name. A female content creator has appreciated the state government’s move to install a panic button system in passenger buses for women's safety. When asked about his favourite tourist destination in Chhattisgarh, the Chief Minister responded that there are numerous captivating places to explore within the state itself. Responding to a question about his academic journey, he shared that he was an average student who enjoyed his school days a lot and often skipped school during heavy rainfall. The Chief Minister mentioned that if he were a social media creator, he would focus on creating content related to agriculture. He encouraged the content creators to promote the culture of Chhattisgarh and its rich heritage. Expressing gratitude, a young creator thanked the Chief Minister for establishing schools that offer free education, enabling underprivileged children to pursue their studies. The Chief Minister appreciated the creator's words of gratitude and reiterated his commitment to providing accessible education for all.

112 beneficiaries of the Unemployment Allowance Scheme in Kanker district have landed jobs

The first Swami Atmanand English Medium Model College of Chhattisgarh was inaugurated today in Kanker virtually at hands of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. In his address to the inaugural program, Mr. Baghel said that after completing higher secondary education in English medium, students will be able to continue their studies in Swami Atmanand English Medium Model Colleges. Presently, ten English medium Swami Atmanand Adarsh Mahavidyalayas are being opened in the state. The first of these Swami Atmanand English Medium Model College was inaugurated in Kanker today.

On the occasion, Chief Minister said that we aim to spread the light of education in even the remotest corner of Bastar, and inauguration of the first Swami Atmanand Government English Medium Model College in Kanker today is a major step in this direction. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that the girl students of Kanker, who have been selected in Raipur NIT and Central University Bilaspur, come from poor families, which shows that there is no dearth of talent in our children, the need is to provide them resources and opportunities. 

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel interacted with the three girl students selected in NIT Raipur and one girl student selected in Central University Bilaspur under 'Hamar Lakshya' program through video conferencing from his residence office today. 'Hamar Lakshya' program is conducted for school children in Kanker district.  Mr. Baghel congratulated these students and extended best wishes for their future. As these students come from poor families, State Government is providing them financial aid for further studies. It is noteworthy that under the 'Hamar Lakshya' programme, 75 children from Kanker district have qualified in JEE. In the inaugural program, Chief Minister also spoke to the beneficiaries of unemployment allowance scheme in Kanker district who have landed jobs.  

The virtual inauguration program was attended by Parliamentary Secretary and MLA Kanker Mr. Shishupal Sori, MLA Antagarh Mr. Anoop Nag, MLA Bhanupratappur Mrs. Savitri Mandavi, Chairperson Municipality Mrs. Saroj Thakur, Collector Dr. Priyanka Shukla, Superintendent of Police Mr. Divyang Patel and many public representatives in Kanker.

Chef Minister said that Swami Atmanand English Medium Excellent School was started in the year 2020 to provide quality education in English medium to the students of poor families. This scheme has received tremendous response. During the Bhent-Mulaqat programme, people demanded opening of Swami Atmanand schools in every assembly constituency of the state. So far, 377 English medium and 350 Hindi medium schools have been opened in the state under Swami Atmanand Yojana. Under the unemployment allowance scheme, an amount of Rs 80 crore has been distributed to 01 lakh 17 thousand beneficiaries in three installments.

Chief Minister further said that in the last four and a half years, recruitment for 26 thousand 989 posts of teachers in schools has been conducted. Earlier, recruitment for 14 thousand 500 posts of teachers was conducted, and 10 thousand 834 teachers were appointed in schools. Recently, recruitment for 12 thousand 489 more posts of teachers was commenced and it is currently in progress. Development of education and healthcare sector in all the districts of Bastar division is the priority of State Government. As many as 314 closed schools of Bastar division were re-opened. Unemployment allowance is being provided regularly to the unemployed youth. The schemes and programs of the state government have created an atmosphere of trust, development and security in Bastar. Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Shishupal Sori also addressed the program. Collector Kanker Dr. Priyanka Shukla told that the beneficiaries of Unemployment Allowance Scheme who have got placement in Hyderabad will earn Rs. 13 to 15 thousand per month. So far, 112 beneficiaries of this scheme in the district have secured jobs in various sectors.

More than 13 thousand 242 Rajiv Yuva Mitan Clubs have been constituted in the state so far

Youth have an important role to play in the development of a nation, and utilizing the power of youth in a constructive manner can help expedite the progress. With the objective to encourage youth participation in the development of the state, Rajiv Yuva Mitan Clubs were constituted in Chhattisgarh under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and under the guidance of Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Mr. Umesh Patel. Through these clubs, youth in rural areas got the opportunity to play an active role in the development of the state. The formation of Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club was announced by Chief Minister Mr. Baghel on 12 January 2020 on the occasion of State Youth Festival. This scheme was formally launched on 18 September 2021.

State Government has set the target to constitute 13 thousand 261 Rajiv Yuva Mitan Clubs in the state. Till date, more than 13 thousand 242 Rajiv Yuva Mitan Clubs have been formed. Each club has 20 to 40 youth of age group 18 to 40 years as members. Grant of Rs 25 thousand has been provisioned for each club every three months. So far, more than Rs 63 crore 77 lakh has been allocated to Rajiv Yuva Mitan Clubs.

The main objective behind constituting the Rajiv Yuva Mitan Clubs is to connect youth with creative activities, ensure their participation in social reform and to take public welfare schemes to the masses with their help. On the occasion of the inauguration of the scheme, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel had said that these clubs will help in channeling the power of youth in a positive direction. Youth have an important role to play in building Nava Chhattisgarh. It is the responsibility of the government to groom the young talent and provide them a suitable platform. Youth power is an important capital for the development of the state.

Besides engaging in various creative endeavours, members of Rajiv Yuva Mitan Clubs are taking the government schemes to the masses. The members of Rajiv Yuva Mitan Clubs also organize various programmes in the state, including sports activities, youth environment protection program, tree plantation drive, cleanliness campaign and drinking water conservation, plastic free campaign, ensuring 100 percent attendance of children in schools, encouraging school drop out children to join school, malnutrition campaign, eradication of malaria, save Girl Child, Voluntary Blood Donation Program etc. Moreover, the youngsters are also spreading awareness about the de-addiction campaign and are making an important contribution in identifying the eligible beneficiaries for the beneficiary oriented schemes of the government.

Youngsters are also coordinating with the government departments to organize skill development programs and various club activities. Under the leadership building program, effective management and administration, democratic leadership workshop, development training for Rajiv Yuva Mitan Clubs, workshop on information technology and communication skills, programs on current issues of global, national and local importance are organized by the members of Yuva Mitan Club.
