Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the country's first Rural Industrial Park (RIPA) at Turenar in Bastar district on Republic Day. For providing employment to the villagers, 20 working sheds have been built on five acres of land. About 337 people are currently working under various schemes in 18 sheds. A training center and residential complex for trainees have also been built here.
After the inauguration of Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel went to each and every shed to see the activities being conducted there. He interacted with the self-employed women and took information about their work. He informed that 300 such rural industrial parks are being built across the state. To increase employment opportunities, two 'RIPA' are being built in every development block.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel in his address said that today not only Chhattisgarh's but the country's first Rural Industrial Park is being inaugurated in Turenar. There is an abundance of valuable forest produce in Bastar. The thing which is not found anywhere else in the world is found in Bastar. Along with the collection of minor forest produce, local people are earning more from their processing and value addition. Earlier the people of Bastar used to sell cocoons directly, now they are making thread out of it. Making candies from tamarind, and selling scented rice by packaging it well. After processing, cashew nuts are sold at good prices.
The Chief Minister said that the government is increasing employment opportunities at the local level so that people do not have to immigrate to other places. Rural Industrial Park will provide necessary resources for self-employment in villages. Through this, the government is realizing the vision of Gram Swaraj given by Mahatma Gandhi. Villages will become self-reliant with 'RIPA', villagers will be economically empowered and women will also become self-reliant.
Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Rekhchand Jain and Bastar MP Mr. Deepak Baij addressed the inauguration program. Collector Mr. Chandan Kumar in his report gave information about the facilities available in the Turenar Rural Industrial Park and the activities conducted there. With the help of state government, various groups have been operating processing units in RIPA situated at Turinar. These processing units include Mushroom spawn lab and oyster mushroom production, button mushroom and oyster mushroom production, cashew processing, kodo, kutki, ragi, masala, 'tikhur' processing and pickle making, scented rice and pulses production. Along with this, tamarind candy and chapati making, chironji processing, silk thread production, poultry farming, egg production, oil processing, non-woven bags, paper bags, 'dona', leaf, natural cow dung paint, cotton cloth, fish feed, chicken feed production, bakery unit are also being operated under this RIPA.

Raipur / Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel on Friday reviewed budget preparations of various departments headed by five cabinet ministers, in a meeting organized at his residence office here.
He reviewed budget preparations for women and child development, social welfare, revenue and disaster management, rehabilitation, registration and stamps, higher education and technical education, skill development and manpower planning, science and technology, sports and youth welfare, food, civil supplies, and consumer protection, planning, economics and statistics, culture, public health engineering, and village industries departments.

Anila Bhediya, Higher Education Minister Shri Umesh Patel, Revenue and Commercial Tax (Registration and Stamps) Minister Jai Singh Agrawal, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Shri Amarjeet Bhagat, and Public Health Engineering Minister Shri Guru Rudra Kumar along with Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Subrat Sahoo, Additional Chief Secretary Smt. Raipur, : To acquaint the general public and college and school children with the rich archaeological and historical heritage of Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has approved two new schemes of the Culture Department. The schemes of Mukhyamantri Virasat Jharokha Yojana and Mukhyamantri Dharohar Darshan Yojana will be commenced in the financial year 2023-24.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has approved the proposal to start these new schemes for the financial year 2023-24 after detailed discussions in the meeting of Culture Department held at his residence office here today. Every year two colleges/government offices will be selected from each district of the state under the Mukhyamantri Virasat Jharokha Yojana. Replicas of historical and archaeological heritage will be displayed in the selected college/government office. With this, along with the general public, college students will develop a sense of awareness and attachment towards the rich archaeological and historical heritage of Chhattisgarh.
Similarly, the objective of Mukhyamantri Dharohar Darshan Yojana is to encourage schools and college going students studying in state government-semi-government (aided) schools and to make them aware of their responsibility towards our historical heritage. Every year 3 schools/colleges from each district of the state will be selected for the 'Chief Minister Heritage Darshan Yojana'.
In both these schemes, a committee will be formed under the chairmanship of the collector for the selection of schools-colleges and government offices. The Superintendent of Police/Chief Executive Officer (District Panchayat), the official representative nominated by the Director Archaeology, Archives and Museum, the District Education Officer, the person nominated by the District Panchayat and the principal of the college nominated by the Collector will be the members of the committee. The administrative department of both the above schemes will be the state Government's Culture Department and the nodal office for their implementation of the schemes will be the Directorate of Archaeology, Archives and Museum, Raipur.

The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has released the list of officers and jawans to be awarded Police Medals on the occasion of Republic Day. Seven police officers and jawans have been selected for the Police Medal for Gallantry Award, one for the President's Police Medal, and 10 for the Police Medal for Meritorious Service in the list released by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu congratulated all the police officers and jawans who will be awarded police medals.
In the released list, IPS Mr. Abhishek Pallav, RI Mr. Vaibhav Mishra, SI Mr. Ashwini Sinha, SI Mr. Yashwant Shyam, SI Mr. Uttam Kumar, Head Constable Mr. Ushru Ram Korram and APC Late Mr. Krishpal Singh Kushwaha has been selected for the Police Medal for Gallantry Award. While ADG Shri Vivekanand Sinha has been selected for the President's Police Medal in the list released by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

After speaking with members of the public in the villages of Math and Charoda in the Dharsinwa assembly constituency, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel called for a meeting of district-level officials at the rest house in Dharsinwa and conducted a thorough review of the most recent status of development and construction projects, including the government's top priority programs. The Chief Minister gave the SSP Raipur strict instructions to avoid theft and unlawful possession.
The Chief Minister received information from the relevant department authorities during the meeting regarding the distribution of food grains and kerosene, the Narva program, the status of study teaching in schools, and the construction of new roads. In addition to efficiently managing Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyan, officials were also instructed to quickly finish the task of establishing natural paint production facilities using a material derived from cow dung in Gauthans. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel participated in Bhent Mulaqat Abhiyan at Purena-Khapri village of Balodabazar Assembly today. During this, he distributed materials and cheques to the beneficiaries under various schemes. Under the fisheries department, beneficiary Mr. Deenbandhu Lehre was given Ice boxes, and nets to Mrs. Chhohari Bai Banjare, while an ice box was given to Mrs. Kaveri Sahu from village Purena Khapri. Similarly, nets were given to Mr. Emir Singh Patel, and Mr. Rajkumar Patel, while an ice box was provided to Mr. Badri Prasad Patel from village Tarashiv.

Similarly, under Sahayak Upkaran Yojana tricycle was provided to Mr. Ishwar Sahu Ward No. 06 Indira Colony Sonpuri Road, Mr. Jethuram Patel from Village Bitkuli, and Ku. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday said that one lakh quintals of cow dung has been purchased from cow dung vendors under the Godhan Nyaya Yojana and Rs 201 crore has been paid to them so far. About 80,000 women are also getting employment by producing vermicompost from cow dung. Chhattisgarh is the first state in the country where cow dung is being procured. Godhan Nyaya Yojana has become a medium of social and economic change in the villages.
He was addressing the villagers during the Bhent-Mulaqat programme organized at village Math of Dharsiwa assembly constituency of Raipur district today.

Chief Minister said that he has come here to know whether the locals are getting the benefit of the public welfare schemes of the state government. Today, the Bhent-Mulaqat programme in Raipur district is starting from Dharsiwa assembly constituency. Chief Minister Shri Baghel said that we have formulated plans for all sections. First of all, we have waived off the loans of the farmers. He added that along with paddy, we are also buying Kodo, Kutki at the support price. Chhattisgarh ranks second after Punjab in paddy procurement in the country with 103 lakh metric tonnes of paddy procured so far in the state. About 23 lakh farmers in Chhattisgarh have been benefited by selling paddy. Earlier only 15 lakh farmers used to sell paddy and the area under paddy was 22 lakh hectare, which has also increased now.
Dharsiwa MLA Smt. Anita Yogendra Sharma, President of Mineral Development Corporation Shri Girish Dewangan, along with many public representatives, a large number of villagers and officers were present on the occasion.

Stating the practical problems arising in the production of ethanol from paddy, Chief Minister said that the state government wants to buy huge quantities for this purpose. Permission has not been received for the same from the central government and the rate of ethanol produced from paddy has not been fixed. He added that the plant for making ethanol from sugarcane is about to start in Kawardha. Maize to ethanol plant will also start in Kondagaon in June. If the central government gives permission, we will buy each and every grain of paddy from the farmers.
On this occasion, he made several announcements including opening of Swami Atmanand English Medium School in Gram Panchayat Ganiyari, Primary Health Center in Gram Panchayat Marhi and Jara-Kumhari and opening of District Cooperative Bank branch in village Saragaon.
Bhumin Tandon got his children married from the amount received by selling cow dung
Bhumin Tandon, a beneficiary of the Godhan Nyaya Yojana, told the Chief Minister that he earned Rs one lakh by taking advantage of this scheme and spent this money for the marriage of his son and daughter. The beneficiary said that he sold cow dung worth 1.35 lakh. He operates a dairy at home, however it was on the verge of closure for two years, but is now getting money by selling cow dung under Godhan Nyaya Yojana. Now his dairy will not be closed. During the meeting, Math resident Durbati Yadav told that he has earned Rs 70,000 by selling cow dung. Chief Minister said with a smile on his face that you have put Yadav ji (your husband) to work, on this Durbati said that she will buy something for her husband.
Jeevan bought the farm by selling paddy, named it "Bonus Farm"
Shri Jeevan Lal Pardhi said that he owns 27 acres of land and practices agriculture. All loans have been waived off. He said that he has sold 900 kattas of paddy and received payment within three days. With the remaining money, I have bought a half an acre farm, named this farm as 'Bonus'.
Expressing happiness over this, the Chief Minister also mentioned about 'Mukhyamantri Bahra' farm located in Bilaigarh.
Students of Swami Atmanand English Medium School spoke to the Chief Minister in fluent English
Speaking to the Chief Minister in fluent English, Class 12 student of Swami Atmanand English Medium School, Tilda-Neora, Muskan Verma said that studying in Atmanand School is saving money as compared to other schools. Our school has all kinds of facilities, a lab, library and excellent teachers. Another student said that she has passed 12th standard from Swami Atmanand English Medium School, Tilda and has taken admission in nursing course, the course fee is around Rs 2 lakh. She sought financial help from the Chief Minister saying that she lost her father during the corona pandemic. Chief Minister announced a financial aid of Rs 1 lakh. Swami Atmanand English Medium School Tilda-Neora, Class 12 student Varsha Yadav asked the Chief Minister what played a big role in your success: teachers or your experience? The Chief Minister said that knowledge cannot be gained without a teacher.
Chief Minister dedicates slew of development works to public in Gram Panchayat Math
Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel made several announcements in the Bhent-Mulaqat programme organized at Gram Panchayat Math under Dharsiwa assembly constituency of Raipur district. The middle school in village Math will be upgraded to high school, lift irrigation approved in Gram Panchayat Math, Mura, Pikridih, Bithia, Mudpar and Tildadih. Construction of the compound will be done in Prathmik Krishi Sakh Sahakari Samiti, Math. The widening of the road from village Khauli to village Kosrangi via Bhadaha-Budgahan-Farhada will be approved under Ram Van Gaman Path. Approval of staff in the Community Health Center Farhada. Swami Atmanand English Medium School will be opened in Gram Panchayat Ganiyari. Upgradation of Baronda Middle School as High School. Primary Health Center will be opened in Gram Panchayat Madahi and Jara-Kumhari. Access road will be constructed from the purani basti to the nayi basti in village Nakti, Kumhari. Approval of Rs 1.92 crore for construction of Gaurav Path in Kharora Nagar Panchayat. Approval to open a branch of DistrictCooperative Bank in village Saragaon. Primary Health Center Silyari to be named after Smt. Indira Baniram Verma (Land has been donated.) Community hall construction in Gram Panchayat Matia. ITI to be named after Late Smt. Gudvantin Bai Baghel, resident of Gram Panchayat Bangoli (donor donated Rs. 45 lakh cash and land for opening and running this building). Announced to install a statue of Dr. Khubchand Baghel in Pendra Van.
5000 children from government schools of Chhattisgarh will participate in the Coding Olympiad
Chhattisgarh government is conducting ‘Code-A-Thon’ Olympiad.

Students are drawn to coding by the small classes and are also becoming proficient in it as they recognize the significance of technology and its impending necessity. Coding is frequently referred to as the language of the future. Keeping this in mind, efforts are being made under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel to encourage interest in coding among students in Chhattisgarh's government schools. The Government of Chhattisgarh is organizing a Coding Olympiad in collaboration with Hindustan Times to encourage school students to learn how to code. This Olympiad is regarded as one of the largest coding competitions in India.
The Coding Olympiad is based on the idea of ‘Getting Future Ready’ and 5000 students from government schools are being taught coding with the mantra of learn, participate, and win. The registration deadline for students to compete in this Coding Olympiad is February 5, 2023. Students can register themselves on the website. www.htcodeathon.com
The students' qualification round will be conducted on February 23rd, followed by the final on the same day.
Top priority schemes should be implemented promptly: Chief Secretary

Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain has directed the officials of various departments of the state government that the top priority schemes of the government should be implemented promptly. He has also instructed the officers that the updates of the flagship schemes of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel should be regularly uploaded on the CM Dashboard of the CM Secretariat every month.
He was chairing a virtual meeting of officials of various departments on Thursday. In the meeting, he took reviewed several important schemes including the construction of Ram-Van-Gaman-Path, disposal of revenue cases in time-limit, demarcation and allotment of Nazul land, and recovery of water tax from the industrial unit.
While reviewing the works of construction of Ram Van Gaman Path, the Chief Secretary said that officials of the Tourism Board should reach on the spot and monitor the works being done under this project. In addition, instructions were given to the officers of the tourism department to put up signboards on the Ram Van Gaman Path, a road map, and prepare a presentation for the construction of the Ram Van Gaman Path. In the meeting, instructions were also given to the officers of the Water Resources Department to speed up the recovery of water tax from private industrial units and other industries.
Besides, the Chief Secretary has given instructions to the officers of the Revenue Department to settle the cases related to Nazul land by running a special campaign. Similarly, instructions were given to dispose of applications for regularization of illegal constructions expeditiously, to give information to the people by running a special campaign in the urban bodies, and to take necessary cooperation from the councilors and office bearers of the urban bodies in this work. In this regard, the Chief Secretary has asked the officers of the Urban Administration and Development Department and Town and Country Planning to take quick action. In the meeting, a detailed review of the use of reserved plots for E.W.S. was also done.

The mega campaign of paddy procurement going on in Chhattisgarh has broken last years record due to state governments farmer friendly policies which has also resulted in the rise of the number of registered farmers in the state along with increasing the overall area of cultivation in the state. So far, 103 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased on the support price in the state. Last year in 2021-22, 98 lakh metric tonnes of paddy was purchased. The mega campaign of Paddy procurement will run till 31 January 2023 and this figure is expected to increase significantly. It is noteworthy that 22.86 lakh farmers of the state have sold paddy and a payment of Rs 21,237 crore has been given to these farmers by directly transferring the amounts in their bank accounts under the bank linking system.
It is noteworthy that the state government has set a target of purchasing 110 lakh metric tonnes of paddy in the current kharif season. It is estimated that this target will easily be achieved as the frequency of farmers in paddy procurement centers and arrival of paddy. Food department officials said that on the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, like last year, this year also the purchase of paddy is continuously going on for custom milling as well. So far, out of the total paddy purchase, DO has been issued for lifting of 88.25 lakh metric tonnes of paddy out of 103 lakh metric tonnes of paddy, against which about 80 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been already lifted by millers.
It is worth noting that the number of registered farmers in the state and area of farmers has increased continuously in the last four years due to the farmer friendly decisions of the state government. This year 24.97 lakh farmers have registered, out of which there are 2.30 lakh new farmers ,and 2617 paddy procurement centers have been set up in the state so that farmers should be able to sell paddy conveniently.
Food department officials also informed that on January 19, 78.21 thousand metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased from more than 19 thousand farmers. About 5 thousand tonnes of paddy has been purchased from farmers through online tokens. Officials said that in this kharif season, normal paddy is being purchased at the rate of Rs 2040 per quintal and grade-A paddy at Rs 2060 per quintal. Moreover, strict monitoring of paddy procurement in the state is being monitored. To prevent illegal transportation of paddy from the border states, the goods carriers are also being checked at the check posts.

In his message, Shri Baghel said that the teachings of Swami Vivekananda have given a new direction to the entire society. He showed the country and the world the way to serve mankind with his teachings and powerful lectures. Many aphorisms like Swami ji's 'Get up, wake up and don't stop until the goal is achieved' fills the youth with a new energy. The incredible legacy of thoughts that Swami ji has handed over to us at the young age of 39 will continue to inspire for generations to come.
Chief Minister Shri Baghel has said that it is a matter of honor and pride for Chhattisgarh that Swami Vivekananda spent some time of his childhood in Raipur. The state government is making efforts to save and preserve the priceless memories of Swami ji in Raipur. Raipur, January 11, 2023/ Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel will inaugurate the Swami Vivekananda Memorial 'Dey-Bhawan' in a programme to be organized at Gandhi Maidan in Raipur on the occasion of National Youth Day tomorrow, January 12. It is worth mentioning that the state government had decided to preserve Swami Vivekananda's residence (Dey-Bhawan) in Raipur in its original setting, whose restoration work has been completed.
The programme will be presided over by Swami Sarvotmanand Ji Maharaj, Vice Chancellor of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, Belur West Bengal. Food and Culture Minister Shri Amarjeet Bhagat, Raipur Lok Sabha MP Shri Sunil Soni, President of Bhoot Nath Day Charitable Trust Dr. H.S. Upadhyay, MLAs Shri Satyanarayan Sharma, Shri Brijmohan Agarwal, Shri Kuldeep Juneja, and Shri Vikas Upadhyay, Raipur Mayor Shri Aijaz Dhebar, Chairman Shri Pramod Dubey will be present as special guests.

Road Safety Week to be organized from 11 to 17 January 2023
Various programs to be organized in road safety week to create road safety awareness

According to the information received from the Inter-Departmental Lead Agency (Road Safety) Chhattisgarh, various programs related to road safety will be organized in the state during Road Safety Week from January 11 to 17. The program will be organized in collaboration with various voluntary organizations including the departments of Chhattisgarh Police, Health, Education and transport and inter-departmental lead agency. It may be noted that the duration of the Road Safety Week has been fixed from January 11 to 17 by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India.
During the road Safety Week in all the districts of Chhattisgarh, NCC, NSS, Bharat Scouts and Guides, school students and traffic in-charges and other partner organisations will collaborate in the various programs to create public awareness on road safety. Under this,programs like Honoring the Good Samaritan, Essay Competition, Short Video competition, Selfie with Safety Warrior, and other Awareness Program in various educational institutions have been included. Along with this, checking of the use of reflective tape on the side/rear side of trucks and tractors will be done, action will be taken to stop vehicles driving in the wrong direction and drivers will be given counseling and a special campaign to stop overloading will also be conducted.
Similarly, NCC, NSS, Bharat Scouts and Guides, Transport Education, Health and Police officers will be guided through virtual meetings. This information has been given by Chairman, Inter-Departmental Lead Agency (Road Safety) Mr. Sanjay Sharma.

Among the vacant posts of training officers ,The state government has allowed direct recruitment for 400 vacant posts of training officers in government industrial training institutions in the first phase. As per the decision of the State Government, the Skill Development, Technical Education and Employment Department today gave consent to the Director of Employment and Training for the direct recruitment on these posts.
Chhattisgarhiya Olympics : Age no bar for sports: Salute to the spirit of 'Asho Bai'
Played 'Fugdi' for more than 1 hour 31 minutes at the age of 65

Chhattisgarhiya Olympics has been organized in the state with the initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel to promote traditional sports that have been played by the general public of the state for numerous years. The ongoing Chhattisgarhiya Olympics is witnessing great enthusiasm from the general public across the state. The involvement of Children, youth,women to the elderly in the Chhattisgarhiya Olympics has proved that age is no bar to indulge in sports. The elderly, reminiscing their childhood games have also shown great interest in participating in the Chhattisgariya Olympics. One such example is Mrs. Asho Bai, a 65 year old woman hailing from Hardi Gram Panchayat of Raipur division, who was declared the winner of fugdi for the above 40 years of age category. It is noteworthy that despite her being 65 years of age, she played fugdi for 1 hour 31 minutes 58 seconds. Even after being declared the winner, Asho Bai's fugdi steps did not stop. Sahin Bai from Pali development block of Korba district under Bilaspur division also gave a tough fight to Asho Bai while showing great spirit for 01 hour 31 minutes 53 seconds, while Gangavati Pradhan of Bastar division got the third position. Despite the age of these women, their enthusiasm was evident in the Chhattisgarhiya Olympics state-level fugdi competition. Mrs. Asho Bai has expressed gratitude towards the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel for organizing the Chhattisgarh Olympics and giving her a platform to showcase her skills.
89 lakh metric tonnes of paddy purchased from farmers on support price

65 lakh metric tonnes of paddy lifted for custom milling

According to the instructions of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the paddy procurement campaign is going on in full swing in Chhattisgarh. This campaign will run till 31 January 2023. Officials of the Food Department informed that under the paddy procurement campaign,89 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been procured from the farmers on the support price in the state so far. In lieu of the paddy purchase, Rs 18,266 crore has been paid to 20.81 lakh farmers of the state under the bank linking system.
On the initiative of the Chief Minister, like last year, paddy procurement is going on continuously this year and paddy is being procured for custom milling as well. Till now DO has been issued for the procurement of about 77 lakh metric tonnes of paddy, against which 65 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been lifted by the millers. Officials informed that on January 09, 1.90 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been procured from more than 46 thousand farmers. Apart from this, about 14 thousand tonnes of paddy has also been purchased from the farmers through tokens obtained online. More than 53,000 tokens have been issued for paddy purchase for the next day and about 5,000 tokens have been issued online through “Token Tunhar Haath App”.
It is noteworthy that this year 25.92 lakh farmers have been registered in the state, in which about 2.26 lakh new farmers are included. 2616 procurement centers have been set up for paddy purchase in the state. Normal paddy is being bought at the rate of Rs 2040 per quintal and grade-A paddy at Rs 2060 per quintal. Moreover, a strict vigil is being kept on the system of paddy procurement in the state. Goods carriers are being continuously checked at check posts to prevent illegal transportation of paddy from border states.
