Door-to-door campaign for speedy disposal of revenue cases

 Innovative initiative taken in Dhamtari Tehsil

In compliance with the instructions given by the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel to collectors for the quick disposal of revenue cases, a door-to-door campaign has been commenced in Dhamtari tehsil of Dhamtari district. Under this campaign, Patwaris are going door-to-door in the homes of the small account holders, farmers and taking information related to their revenue cases and resolving the revenue cases as soon as possible under the prescribed procedure. Necessary documents for caste, income and residence certificates are also being made available to the people after reaching their homes, due to which people now do not have to make rounds of Patwari and Tehsil offices.

   In Dhamtari tehsil, this house-to-house campaign has been started from 02 November 2022 on the instructions of District Collector Shri P.S.Elma. Under this campaign, instructions have been given to the Patwaris to make personal contact with the account holders residing in all the villages of their respective areas and to Upload the list of heirs in the Bhuiyan portal after getting information about the death of the account holders. The concerned Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar should pass the order for replacement within the stipulated time.

     Instructions have also been given to Patwaris that during house visits, Patwaris should take information related to caste, income, residence certificate from the residents and provide necessary documents to them if needed. Patwaris have also been instructed to go to the schools of their respective constituencies at least two days a week and provide necessary cooperation in making caste certificates of every student.

     Under the door-to-door campaign, out of total 70 thousand 643 account holders under Dhamtari tehsil, Patwaris have so far contacted 19 thousand people. According to the information received from Sub-Divisional Officer Revenue Dhamtari Mr. Vibhor Agarwal, 370 cases of false nomination were provided for registration in the Bhuiyan portal, on which the process of renaming has been started. Similarly, necessary documents were made available to 1806 people for caste certificate. RBC 6-4 and other 392 miscellaneous reports have also been provided to the general public by the Patwaris.

     Out of 20 thousand 233 students of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes studying in Dhamtari Tehsil from class 6th to 12th, so far caste certificates of 15 thousand 274 students have been made. Action is being taken to make the caste certificates of the remaining students at the earliest.

Under this campaign, the staff of the Revenue Department is going door-to-door contacting numerous people and providing them with proper support in solving the revenue related problems. People are happy and relieved  with with this facility being provided to them. Due to this door to door campaign reaching numerous 'Mohalla and Bastis',general public does not have to visit Patwari or Tehsil office and their time and labor is being saved to a great extent. On the commencement of this campaign, the people of this tehsil are expressing their gratitude to the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and the district administration for this endeavour.

Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar are also inspecting the work of patwaris by making rounds in their areas. Under the campaign, the staff of the Revenue Department is on a mission to meet maximum number of people and solve their problems.
