Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel paid a humble tribute to the "Hockey Wizard" Padma Bhushan Awardee Major Dhyanchand on his death anniversary which falls on December 03. Remembering the achievements of Major Dhyan Chand and his invaluable contribution to the field of sports, Mr. Baghel said that India won three gold medals in the Olympic Games during the era of Major Dhyan Chand. Major Dhyan Chand's dedication towards sports and patriotism is an inspiration to all of us. He has been awarded the country's most prestigious award Padma Bhushan by the Government of India. His birthday is celebrated as National Sports Day in India. Chief Minister said that Major Dhyanchand has become the identity of hockey in India with his talent and dedication, love and discipline towards hockey.
