A farmer's agricultural land mortgaged for two years was redeemed with the help of money received from Godhan Nyay Yojana


Shravan Kumar Yadav,resident of  Singhari village earned more than one and a half lakh rupees in two years

Kabirdham : "Hamar Kaka Bhupesh Baghel ke Gobar kharidi Yojna baney hai" . Shravan Kumar Yadav was all praises for the state government's Godhan Nyay Yojna which helped him redeem his land which was mortgaged for the past two years. He goes on to narrate his story. In the 'Jeth' months of May and June 2020, I had to mortgage the agricultural land as per my financial conditions. I have redeemed that land after two years,in the 'Jeth' month of 2022, even after fulfilling the needs of my house. I have to thank Godhan Nyay Yojna which has improved my financial condition and helped me to get  my land back. I have earned substantial amount by selling cow dung."

 Shravan Kumar Yadav, a resident of Sindhari Gram Panchayat of Bodla, is one of the many beneficiaries of Godhan Nyay Yojna who has earned an income of more than one and a half lakh rupees by selling cow dung. Shravan further informs that he had one acre of agricultural land which he had to mortgage for a sum of Forty five thousand Rs. Now, he has received financial assistance from the state government run Godhan Nyay Yojna and has released his mortgaged land along with his wife's jewellery which was mortgaged as well. He has invested some amount of the financial assistance in sowing paddy, fifteen thousand Rs. for land levelling, and has brought utensils for his house worth two thousand Rs. He says that he doesn't have to borrow money for his household expenses anymore. He is successfully managing his household expenses by the financial aid provided by the Godhan Nyay Yojna.

Giving information about the beneficiary Shri Shravan Kumar Yadav, Shri Bhagwat Dhurve, Secretary, Gram Panchayat Sindhari and Village Gauthan Management Committee, states that since August 2020, Shravan Kumar is selling cow dung in the village. So far 75174 kg of cow dung has been sold by him, in lieu of which Rs 1,50,348 has been issued to him from the government. Shravan Kumar basically falls below the poverty line and the money for selling his cow dung is received in his savings account in Chhattisgarh State Rural Bank branch Sindhari.

Gauthan is becoming the center of progress: Collector Kabirdham

While discussing about the benefits being given to the villagers by the Godhan Nyay Yojana, Collector Kabirdham Shri Janmejay Mahobe says that Gauthan has been constructed in all the rural areas of the district and Gauthan is being developed as an economic center for the rural populace. Cow dung is procured in all the Gauthans by the Village Gothan Management Committee. On the basis of the dung purchased, the amount is transferred to the beneficiary by the government in his savings account. This is the reason that the villagers are getting a lot of financial benefits from this scheme.

While discussing, Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat Kabirdham, Mr. Sandeep Kumar Agrawal says that the economic condition of Singhari resident Mr. Shravan Kumar Yadav has already improved a lot. He is taking care of his children well, freed his mortgaged land and jewellery, fulfillment of household items etc. and all this work has been done in a very short span of two years.
