Under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana, 250 couples in Mahasamund will tie the knot on 28 February. The wedding program will be held in the Sanjay Kanan in Mahasamund from 11 am on 28 February. The Chief Guest will be the Women and Child Development Minister, Mrs. Anila Bhediya. The Parliamentary Secretary and MLA, Mr. Vinod Chandrakar, will preside over the event and bless the newly-wed couples. The District Program Officer of Women and Child Development in Mahasamund, Mr. Sameer Pandey, said that all the preparation for the wedding of 250 couples is almost complete. 

As the Special Guest, Parliamentary Secretary and MLA of Khallari Assembly Constituency Mr. Dwarikadhish Yadav, Vice President of Scheduled Caste Development Authority and MLA of Saraipali Assembly Constituency Mr. Kismatlal Nand, President of Chhattisgarh Forest Development Corporation and Basna MLA Mr. Devendra Bahadur Singh, President of District Panchayat Mrs. Usha Patel, President of the District Minor Forest Produce Union Mahasamund Mr. Pramod Chandrakar, President of the Municipality Mrs. Rashi Mahilang, President of Janpad Panchayat Mr. Yatendra Kumar Sahu, Organization Officer Mrs. Rashmi Chandrakar, President of the Krishi Upaj Mandi in Mahasamund Mr. Heera Banjare, and Sarpanch Mr. Neelam Kosare will attend the program.
