Announcement to declare Geedam as a new revenue section

Chief Minister attended the farewell ceremony of Gods and Goddesses visiting Phagun Madai in Dantewada

The Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel attended the farewell ceremony of Gods and Goddesses visiting Phagun Madai held in the premises of Maa Danteshwari Temple. He made the announcements of naming the medical college being constructed in Geedam after Maa Danteshwari, declaring Geedam as a new revenue section, and construction of River Front View Point in the Shankhni-Dankhni river for tourism. 

The Chief Minister, who was attending the farewell ceremony of Gods and Goddesses visiting Phagun Madai for the first time, called the farewell of 851 Gods and Goddesses unique. He said that Bastar's culture is filled with colors, and Phagun Madai in Dantewada is as famous in the world as Bastar's Dussehra. Hundreds of Gods and Goddesses of the region come to play Holi in Maa Danteshwari's courtyard. One cannot understand Chhattisgarh’s culture without knowing and understanding the emotions, philosophy, and stories of its tribal traditions. The Government has worked towards preserving the state's unique traditions and glorious festivals. To promote tribal traditions, an annual financial aid of Rs. 7 thousand has been provided to Pujari, Baiga, Guniya, Manjhi, Haat Pahariya, Baja Mohariya by including them under the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiheen Krishi Majdoor Nyay Yojana. 

The Chief Minister said that in this budget, the provision of increasing the honorariums of Kotwars, Village Patels, cooks preparing mid-day meals, cleanliness workers of schools, Anganwadi workers, Anganwadi assistants, mini Anganwadi workers, Mitanin Sisters, and Home guard soldiers has been made. Through the Ram Van Gaman Tourism Circuit, memorials related to Lord Ram are being preserved. The State Government has announced the "Mukhyamantri Adiwasi Parab Samman Nidhi Yojana" in this year's budget to promote the traditions and festivals of the state. It has adopted the policy of trust, development, and security for the tribal regions in the state. Bastar was earlier known for its Naxalite attacks, today it is famous for Dantewada's Danex, Jagdalpur's cashew and coffee, Narayanpur's Phool Jhadu, Kondagaon's Tikhur, and Kanker's Millets factories. 

The Chief Minister said that in this year's budget, an announcement to establish four new medical colleges has been made, out of which one has been opened in Geedam. The establishment of medical college will reduce the shortage of doctors in the region. Bastar will walk the path of progress with the blessings of Gods and Goddesses visiting this program. The event was addressed by the Minister of Industries and Minister Incharge of the district Mr. Kawasi Lakhma, MP Mr. Deepak Baij, and MLA Mrs. Devati Karma. On this occasion, the Vice President of Bastar Development Authority Mr. Vikram Mandavi, MLA Chitrakot Mr. Rajman Benjam, Chairman of CREDA Mithlesh Swarnakar, Vice Chairman of Indravati Development Authority Mr. Rajiv Sharma, President of Zila Panchayat Tulika Karma, Chief Minister's Secretary Mr. Siddharth Komal Pardeshi, Commissioner Mr. Shyam Dhawde, IG Mr. Sunderraj P., Director of Minerals Department Mr. Jay Prakash Maurya, Collector Mr. Vineet Nandanwar, Superintendent of Police Mr. Siddharth Tiwari, Priest of the temple committee Manjhi Chalki, and other public representatives were present. 

Priests were given presents and Community Forest Rights Certificates were given to Devgudis

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel gave presents to the priests after the program ended. These priests included Mr. Anatram Pujari of Katekalyan Development Block, Mr. Dashru Kawasi of Katekalyan Jihakodta, Geedam Development Block's Tumnar resident Mr. Budhram Degal, Dantewada Development Block's Mr. Ramlal Gayta, Jagdalpur Mahupal's Mr. Asharam Pujari. In the event, community forest rights certificates were distributed to 5 Devgudis symbolically. About 122 Devgudis of the district have been issued community forest rights certificates. Under this, community forest rights certificates were distributed by the Chief Minister to the Matagudis of Kuakonda's Renganar Dantewada Development Block's Metapal, Bhogam, Keshapur, and Geedam's Karli.
