Raipur : Kiran Pisda, a woman player from Chhattisgarh, has been selected for the Indian senior team for the South Asian Football Championship to be held in Nepal.
Pisda is a resident of Baloda district and is training at the Girls Football Academy operated by the Sports Department at the Swami Vivekananda Stadium, Raipur.
The academy was started in 2020. She will play as a forward for the Indian team. She will be the first player from the state selected for the national football senior team.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has congratulated her.
