Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel virtually released an amount of Rs 5.32 crore to cattle rearers, women groups, and Gauthan committees under the Godhan Nyay Yojana, from his residence office here today.

This includes payment of Rs 2.91 crore in lieu of 1.45 lakh quintal cow dung purchased from March 16 to March 31 and dividend amount of Rs 1.43 crore to Gauthan committees and Rs 98 lakh to women groups.

On this occasion, Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey, Industries Minister Shri Kawasi Lakhma, Chief Minister's Advisor Shri Vinod Verma, Chhattisgarh State Mineral Development Corporation Chairman Shri Girish Dewangan, Chhattisgarh Gau Sewa Commission Chairman Mahant Ramsunder Das, Special Secretary (Agriculture) Dr. Ayyaz F. Tamboli are present at the Chief Minister's residence office. Besides, Chief Minister's Advisor Shri Pradeep Sharma and RIPA State Nodal Officer Shri Gaurav Singh joined the programme through video conferencing.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that we have made continuous achievements in the Godhan Nyay Yojana, but the rapid increase in the number of self-supporting Gauthans is our most significant achievement because the major goal of this plan is to make our villages financially self-sufficient

The self-supporting Gauthans have paid themselves Rs 1 crore, 67 lakh of the money supplied to cow dung vendors, While the department is paying Rs 1 crore, 24 lakh.

We have agreed to offer Rs.750 per month to the presidents of self-supporting Gauthan committees and Rs.500 per month to the members in order to encourage Gauthan committees to become self-sufficient.

The farmer must have already heard the good news that beginning in November, paddy would be purchased at a cost of 20 quintals per acre. For a long time, the farmer had desired this. It will undoubtedly help the rural economy.

Likewise, Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Bhoomihin Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana, has been expanded. This scheme will now help landless agricultural laborers in Scheduled Area Nagar Panchayats and Municipalities. Landless agricultural laborers must apply by April 15 to take benefit of this scheme

While the census has not been conducted since 2011, a socio-economic survey has also begun in the villages on April 1. This survey will also help identify new beneficiaries. They will also be able to take use of schemes such as housing, gas cylinders, and toilets

Applications for unemployment benefits from educated unemployed have begun as of April 1. They have been given the option of applying online for this. More than 6000 unemployed youth applied on the first day, and their applications were granted the same day.

Congratulations to all of the farmers, cow dung vendors, animal herders, Gauthan committees, and self-help groups that received funds through this initiative today.
