The debris generated from the rapid construction work in the capital city of Raipur had become a serious problem, as its disposal had not been addressed yet. However, an effective solution to this problem has been found in the form of the Hirapur- Jarway C&D waste management plant. During his 'Bhent-Mulaqat' programme in Raipur West Assembly Constituency, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel visited the plant and held discussions with the plant's managers and the women working there.

During the discussions, the Chief Minister emphasized that waste recycling management is the biggest need of today's times, given the rapid expansion of our cities. He appreciated the plant's managers and women working there for turning this challenge into an opportunity. The women working at the plant explained to the Chief Minister that they manufacture various products such as paving blocks, covers for drains, chequered tiles, and cemented benches from waste material.

Aarti Dehre, a woman from Atari village who works at the plant, informed the Chief Minister that they manufacture 2,500 paving blocks every day and earn Rs 200 per day. She expressed her gratitude to the Chief Minister for initiating the establishment of such a good plant.

Manju Barle, a member of the Veer Women Self-Help Group who works at the plant, shared, "I reside in a nearby Atari village. Earlier, our financial situation was not good, and we had no source of income. We used to sit idle at home. But now, by working at the C&D plant, I earn a monthly income of Rs 6,000." Bharati Nishad, another woman from the Jai Maa Ambe self-help group working at the C&D plant, said, "I used to have a hard time taking care of my two children due to low income. However, now my household is running smoothly, and we are also saving money."

Rinki Nishad, a member of the Chhattisgarh self-help group working at the C&D plant, mentioned, "Working here has significantly improved our financial situation. The sales of products made here should increase to encourage production and enable more women like us to get more employment opportunities."
