Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel interacted with the common people in Jarhagaon village of Mungeli district today, as part of his statewide Bhent-Mulaqat programme. In his address to the programme, he made many important announcements including the opening of a new college in village Jarhagaon of Mungeli assembly constituency. He announced that Jarhagaon will be given the status of Nagar Panchayat. On this occasion, Chief Minister inaugurated and performed Bhumipujan of 18 development works worth Rs 33 crore 12 lakh. This includes foundation laying of the works worth Rs 31 crore 35 lakh and inauguration of the works worth Rs one crore 67 lakh. Many public representatives including Parliamentary Secretary Mrs. Rashmi Ashish Singh, MLA Mr. Punnulal Mohle, District Panchayat President Mrs. Lekhni Chandrakar participated in the program.

 During the program, Arjun Koshale said that his father had passed away a few years ago, mother is suffering from cancer. Right now they are availing the medical treatment with Ayushman card, but to bear the high cost of treatment he had to mortgage half an acre of his farmland. In response, Chief Minister informed him about Chief Minister's Special Health Scheme, and sanctioned financial aid for the treatment of his mother. He directed directed the officials concerned to ensure best possible treatment of Arjun's mother. Vandana told that she lives in Mungeli and she was also suffering from cancer. But then she recieved Rs 5 lakh 50 thousand under the Chief Minister's Special Health Assistance Scheme, which helped her recieve proper treatment for blood cancer. She thanked Chief Minister for bringing relief to her suffering. Shabana Qureshi told that eggs are being distributed along with hot-cooked food under Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyan. This has helped in improving her son's health, his weight has increased by four kilos. Madhu told that mobile medical unit visits her village every Monday, providing easy access to the healthcare facilities.

Chief Minister also took feedback regarding the rural development and agriculture friendly schemes during the Bhent-Mulaqat programme. A farmer said that the Chief Minister's agriculture-friendly scheme has opened up new avenues of economic prosperity for the farmers. Positive impacts of these schemes are evidently visible. The farmer told that he has three children, one of them is pursuing MBBS, one is pursuing nursing course and another one is doing M.A..

As Chief Minister asked for feedback about unemployment allowance, Fulmani told that she has received the message notifying the receipt of the amount in her account on the same day. Unemployment allowances will help the beneficiaries to meet the day to day needs. Chief Minister inquired about the Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club initiative, in response to which, Lakhiram Yadav said that he participated in the Olympic Games and reached upto the divisional level. Beneficiaries told that they are getting ration regularly. Gomti Sahu told that establishment of RIPA has decreased the migration of people from villages. Mohan Lal Sahu told that he has sold cow dung worth Rs 86 thousand and is utilizing that money for education of his children.

Chief Minister announced sanction of Rs 50 lakhs for opening a new college in Jarhagaon, giving Jarhagaon the status of Nagar Panchayat, city scan facility in the district hospital, construction of new office building in Municipality Mungeli, construction of new swimming pool in Mungeli, Jarhagaon Upgradation of school in Swami Atmanand School, District Co-operative Bank branch opened in village Amora, 1.5 crore given for arrangement of lighting in Mungeli bypass, upgradation of Jarhagaon PHC to CHC, construction of approach road to district hospital in Gram Panchayat Ramgarh, approach road to circuit Jarhagaon, road repair and maintenance work from village Setganga to village Kosmatra.
