Results of High School and Higher Secondary School Main Examinations 2023 declared

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has congratulated and wished a bright future to the students who have come out with flying colours in the results of class 10th and class 12th board exams, which were announced by the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education today. To the students who could not pass the exams, Chief Minister has advised to not get disheartened. Mr. Baghel has advised such students to check their weaknesses and work on it with dedication and persistence. In his tweet on twitter, Mr. Baghel has promised that the meritorious students making it to the top ten list of the board examination will be given a helicopter ride.

Chief Minister also lauded the excellent performance of the students of Swami Atmanand Schools. Five students of Swami Atmanand School have made it to the merit list of class 12th board exam, and all the top 10 rankers of the 10th board exam results are from Swami Atmanand Schools.

After declaring the results of the High School and Higher Secondary School Certificate Main Examination 2023, School Education Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam extended congratulations to the students who have successfully passed the exam and consolation to the ones who couldn't. He motivated the students who could not pass to keep up the hard work and study with dedication. On this occasion, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Dwarkadhish Yadav, Chairman of the Board of Secondary Education Dr. Alok Shukla, Secretary Professor V.K.Goyal along with members, officers and employees of the Board were also present.

A total of 48 students have secured the top ten ranks in 10th board exam and 30 students have made it to the merit list of class 12th board exam. In the merit list of 10th board examination, Rahul Yadav of Swami Atmanand Government Excellent Hindi Medium School, Jashpur has secured first position with 98.83 percent marks, Sikander Yadav of Swami Atmanand Government Excellent English Medium School, Jashpur has secured second position with 98.67 percent marks. The merit list of 10th board exam includes 19 students from tribal areas i.e. 12 from Jashpur, 4 from Kanker, 2 from Surguja, one from Surajpur. The merit list includes 28 girl students, 20 boys; 23 of these students are from government schools and 25 are from private schools.

In the merit list of 12th board examination, Vidhi Bhosle of Abhinav V.M. Higher Secondary School Pusaur Raigarh has secured first position with 98.20 percent marks, Vivek Aggarwal of Anunay Convent Higher Secondary School Sakti Janjgir-Champa has secured second position with 97.40 marks. As many as 18 girl students and 12 boy students have made it to the merit list of 12th board exam, including two students from tribal area i.e. one from Kanker and one from Jashpur. Out of the 30 students who have made it to the merit list, 11 are from government schools and 19 are from private schools.

It is noteworthy that the results of the main examination of the 10th-12th board conducted by CGBSE have this year have significantly improved in comparison to the last year. This year 75.05 percent students have passed in the 10th board examination, which is 0.82 percent more than last year. Similarly, 79.96 percent students have passed in the 12th board examination this year, which is 0.66 percent more than last year. In high school, 70.26 percent boys and 79.16 percent girls have passed, while in higher secondary, 75.36 percent boys and 83.64 percent girls have passed.

A total of 3,37,559 candidates were registered in the High School Certificate Main Examination year 2023 organized by the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education. Of these, 3,30,681 candidates appeared in the examination, including 1,52,891 boys and 1,77,790 girls. Results of 3,30,055 candidates were declared today. A total of 75.05 percent of the candidates have passed. The percentage of girl students who have passed is 79.16 and the percentage of boy students who have passed is 70.26. The number of candidates who passed in the first division is 1,09,903 (33.30 percent), the number of candidates who have passed in the second division is 1,19,901 (36.32 percent) and the number of candidates who have passed the exam in the third division is 17,914 (5.43 percent). 03 candidates have passed in 'pass' category. 17,923 candidates are eligible for supplementary. The results of a total of 626 candidates have been withheld due to various reasons. The results of 16 candidates have been withheld due to cheating case and the application of 281 candidates have been canceled due to lack of eligibility and the results of 324 candidates are under scrutiny. The results of remaining 05 candidates will be declared later.

In the High School Certificate Main Examination 2022, a total of 3,63,301 candidates had appeared. This included 1,71,539 boys and 191,762 girl candidates. The pass percentage was 74.23. In this way this year's result has improved by 0.82 percent, as compared to last year.

A total of 3,28,121 candidates were registered in the Higher Secondary School Certificate Main Examination year 2023. Of these, 3,23,625 candidates appeared in the examination, which included 1,43,919 boys and 179,706 girls. The results of 3,23,266 candidates were declared today. The total number of candidates that have passed the exam is 2,58,500 i.e. 79.96 percent. The percentage of girl students who have passed is 83.84 and the percentage of boys who have passed is 75.36. The number of candidates who have passed in the first division is 87,140 (26.96 percent), the number of candidates who have passed in the second division is 1,45,965 (45.15 percent) and the number of candidates who have passed the exam under the third division is 25,377 (7.85 percent).18 have cleared the exam under 'pass' category, while 22751 are eligible for supplementary.

Results of 359 candidates have been withheld due to various reasons. Results of 30 candidates have been withheld under cheating case, applications of 279 candidates have been canceled due to ineligibility and results of 43 candidates are under scrutiny. Apart from this, the results of 07 candidates will be declared later.

A total of 2,87,673 candidates had appeared in the Higher Secondary School Certificate Main Examination in the year 2022, out of which were 129,213 boys and 1,58,460 were girls. The pass percentage of the combined candidates was 79.30. In this way, there has been an improvement of about 0.88 percent in the exam result this year, as compared to last year. This year, there were 2,418 examination centers for high school exams and there were 2,308 exam centers and 29 coordination centers for higher secondary examination.

As per the orders of Chhattisgarh Government's School Education Department, a total of 3,199 students including 1,286 students in high school examination and 1,913 students in higher secondary have been given bonus marks in non-academic activities. In the year 2022, a total of 3,214 students including 1571 students in the high school examination and 1643 in the higher secondary examination were awarded bonus marks. In compliance to the decision taken by the board, marks of non-academic activities has not been added this year and a provisional merit list has been prepared excluding the bonus marks.
