Chhattisgarh's stars shine in Nepal: Four promising youths of Kabirdham hoisted the flag of India

Raipur : Four promising players of Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh hoisted the flag of Chhattisgarh and the country by performing well in the International Bodybuilding and Weightlifting Competition held in Pokhara city of Nepal. More than 300 players from seven countries including India, Nepal, Pakistan, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Myanmar participated in this competition organized by the International United Indian Sports Association. From India, Suraj Rajput, Deepali Soni, Abhishek Tiwari and Anurag Jangde from Kawardha, Chhattisgarh participated in this prestigious competition and won gold medals.

It is known that in the bodybuilding competition, Suraj Rajput of Kabirdham won the title of International Mr. Overall, leaving behind the participants from seven countries. Suraj has also previously won medals in Mr. Chhattisgarh, Senior National Bodybuilding Championship and Powerlifting. Currently, he is playing the role of coach in "Bharat Health Club" of Kawardha and is giving free training to about 50 youth. Deepali Soni, who became the first female gold medalist weightlifter of the district, won in the 76 kg category. She has also performed brilliantly in national and state level competitions before this. Abhishek Tiwari of the sub-junior category won the gold medal in the men's 67 kg category. Earlier, he has also won medals in the school national games. At the same time, 14-year-old Anurag Jangde, who won the gold medal in sub-junior weightlifting in the 109 kg category, has also topped many district and school level competitions before.

It is worth noting that the credit for training these four players also goes to Suraj Rajput, who has been preparing the youth of the district for international level by giving free training with dedication for years. Suraj Rajput expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Sports Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma for his success and the achievements of the team and said that this achievement will become an inspiration for every youth of the district as well as the state. He told that in the coming time, an international competition will be organized in Dubai, for which he will prepare with full dedication from Kawardha itself. This performance by the players on the soil of Nepal is a matter of pride not only for Chhattisgarh but for the whole country.

Bodybuilder Suraj Rajput

Suraj Rajput's name needs no introduction in the world of bodybuilding. In the international competition of Nepal, he won the title of International Mr. Overall by defeating the stalwarts of seven countries. Suraj Rajput said that this victory is not only mine, but of the whole Chhattisgarh. It is not easy to reach the international stage from a small town, but if there is passion in the mind and the guidance is right, then no destination is far. Suraj is giving free training to about 50 players as a coach in 'Bharat Health Club'. He has also won medals in Mr. Chhattisgarh, Senior National and Powerlifting competitions.

Weightlifter Deepali Soni

Deepali Soni of Kabirdham district, who won the gold medal in the 76 kg category, has become the first female weightlifter of Kabirdham. Who created history by winning medals at the international level. Sharing her experience, Deepali Soni says that the trip to Nepal was very inspiring for me. Going abroad for the first time and playing and waving the tricolor was a dream, which has been fulfilled. I am happy that now other daughters of the district will also take inspiration to move forward in sports like weightlifting. Deepali has already won medals in national and state level competitions.

Weightlifter Abhishek Tiwari

Abhishek Tiwari set a great example of his hard work by winning the gold medal in the 67 kg sub-junior weightlifting category. Abhishek Tiwari says that when the medal came around my neck, I remembered the hard work of my parents, Guruji and the entire district. Living in Nepal, the players there and the environment, everything was new, but we had resolved to keep the Indian flag high.

Weightlifter Anurag Jangde

Anurag Jangde, who won gold in the 109 kg sub-junior weightlifting category at the age of just 14, caught everyone's attention. Expressing happiness over the achievements he got in his first foreign trip of his career, Anurag Jangde said, "I am very happy that I was able to win a gold medal for the country at such a young age. All this was possible because of my coach Suraj Sir, who prepared me selflessly day and night." The joy of seeing the national flag fluttering abroad cannot be expressed in words.
