Raipur : Indira Kala Sangeet University, Khairagarh of Chhattisgarh is the only specialized university in Asia in the field of dance, music and fine arts. Online applications have been invited for the academic session 2025-26 in the Music University. Registration for the online admission process will be done till 16 June. The first aptitude test for admission will be conducted from 24 to 27 June, its result will be released by 30 June. Similarly, the second aptitude test will be conducted from 22 to 24 July, its selection list will be released on 25 July.

The Chhattisgarh government has decided to establish this university at the international level. Apart from India, foreign students from many other countries are also applying enthusiastically for admission in this university. This university offers diploma and degree in courses like Hindustani singing, Hindustani violin, sitar, sarod, tabla, Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Odissi, folk music, drama, dance, painting, sculpture, textiles design at undergraduate and postgraduate level. This wide course structure will not only provide an opportunity to master various streams of art, but will also ensure the all-round development of the students. Along with this, it is probably the only university in India to provide the facility of PhD and D.Litt in various subjects to expand research activities in the university.
