Darbhanga, July 5, 2023 (Agency). Mithila, flooded by the flowing water of seven rivers since ancient times, has also started to remain dry. Due to this dryness, the villagers use motors in tubewells to supply water to the river for the devotees at Jiv Chhaghat a place of religious importance.

A unique inspiring incident came to the fore in the river walk organized by World Natural Democracy, when the yatra reached Jivchhaghat in the first stop from Kakarghati, some water was seen under the bridge, which was surrounded by mud and deposited. On enquiring, it was found that due to the complete drying up of the river, there was a lot of difficulty for the devotees coming here from far off places. They did not get water. Then the local people bought a motor for ten thousand rupees in the tubewell of their house with mutual cooperation and took out water through that motor and gave it to the river, so that the devotees could not face any difficulty said Former Principal Vidyanath Jha here , today.

Those who collect water in the river told that devotees come here from the neighboring country Nepal, Vaishali, Sitamarhi, Hasanpur etc., they feel disappointed after coming here, because there is no water in the river, for this purpose a motor was installed by donating and water was arranged in the dry river.

For this commendable work, Jagdish Sahni, Shambhu Sahni and Ram Narayan Sahni were garlanded by environmentalist Narayan ji Chowdhary, the director of the campaign to save the pond in the third phase of the river satyagraha, and the botanist Prof. Jha, who came as the chief guest, covered him with a shawl was awarded. On the other hand, Jitendra Sahni and Rajdev Sahni, who could not reach to receive honor in the meeting of River Satyagraha, Dr. Javed Abdullah, President of World Natural Democracy, himself went to Jivchaghat and honored them. Rama Shankar Prasad, Managing Director, Bihar Zone, Ujjwal Bhavishya Foundation appreciated his charitable work.L.S.
