New Delhi, July 22, 2023 (Agency). In order to protect the interests of journalists across the country, the Central Government should brought the “Journalist Protection Act” Bill in the current session of the Parliament.

Coordinator of Save UNI Movement Dr. S. Pathak and journalist M.K. Madhubala made this demand while talking to journalists. He said that this has been demanded for many years, but nothing has been done so far.

Dr. Pathak, Executive President of SAARC Journalist Forum and United Indian Journalist Association, said that if this does not happen, the movement will be intensified.

In response to a question, Dr. Pathak said that there has been a lot of change in the field of journalism with time. That's why it is necessary to give the status of journalist to everyone associated with this profession.

Smt. Madhubala, who has been associated with journalists' movements against PIB, said that there are still some people out there who are playing with the interests of journalists. Discrimination against new entrants continues. L.S.
