Eminent economist and CA Gopal kumar kediya (GK Kedia) from Araria district in Bihar has been given the "Deshratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad Smriti Samman" this year.
This honor is conferred every year on the birth anniversary of the country's first President, Dr.Rajendra Prasad, by the All India Manav Samaj Trust to eminent personalities dedicated to distinguished service at a dignified function organized in New Delhi.
Mr. Kedia, a resident of Araria district of Bihar, obtained his CA degree from Kolkata in the year 1988 and then came to Delhi. Here he established a CA farm. His farm is ranked eighth in Delhi and 29th in the country.
Mr. GK Kedia, son of late Hari Ram Kedia and Mrs. Dropati Kedia of Araria district of Seemanchal, got married to Santosh Kedia, a devout woman, in May 1996. This family is considered as a prestigious family in Mithilanchal.
Mr. Kedia, Judge, Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, Mumbai, said this honor is a matter of pride for me. Rajendra Babu was not only the first President of the country but also a unique scholar. His simplicity inspires the new generation.
Mr. Kedia, associated with many social and cultural organizations, said that when he passed the CA exam, it was considered a tough exam at that time, but if one studies with dedication and devotion, then it is not that difficult to pass it.
