Three Martyred Jawans of Chhattisgarh awarded 'Kirti Chakra' for their supreme sacrifice

Family members of the Martyrs received 'Kirti Chakra' at hands of the President of India

It is a moment of pride for Chhattisgarh and the family of the martyrs: Chief Minister Mr. Baghel

President of India Mrs Draupadi Murmu conferred the prestigious honour of 'Kirti Chakra' upon the three martyr jawans of Chhattisgarh for their supreme courage and sacrifice in Naxal operations. Paying tribute to the martyr jawans, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that receiving the honour of 'Kirti Chakra' for the supreme courage and sacrifice of the jawans is a moment of pride for the family members as well as for Chhattisgarh state.

In a dignified ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan yesterday, New Delhi, President Mrs. Murmu presented the 'Kirti Chakra' to the families of Martyr Sub-Inspector Mr. Deepak Bhardwaj, Martyr Head Constable Mr. Sodhi Narayan and Martyr STF Head Constable Mr. Shravan Kashyap, the jawans of Chhattisgarh who attained martyrdom while braving naxalites in Bijapur district of Bastar region. At the ceremony, President Mrs Murmu presented the Kirti Chakra to Mrs Prantika Bhardwaj, wife of Martyr Deepak Bhardwaj, Mrs Sashila Sodhi, wife of Martyr Mr Sodhi Narayan, and Mrs Dattika Kashyap, wife of Mr. Shravan Kashyap.

It is worth noting that Sub-Inspector Martyr Deepak Bhardwaj was a resident of Pehrid area of Malkharoda in Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh, Constable Martyr Sodhi Narayan was a resident of Bijapur district Punur and STF Head Constable Martyr Shravan Kashyap was a resident of Baniya village in Bastar district.
