Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai visited the stalls set up by Women and Child Development Department and Forest Department

At the Stall of Women and Child Development Department, 'annaprashan' of infants was held, nutrition kits were provided to pregnant women, and gifts were distributited to the adolescent girls

Members of women self help group offered laddus cookies made of Kodo, Kutki and Ragi at the stall of Forest Department

Raipur: At the 'Kisaan Sammelan' and felicitation program held in village Kusumghata of Kabeerdham district today, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai visited the stalls of Forest Department and Women and Child Development Department. At the stall of Women and Child Development Departmet, Chief Minister took part in the 'annaprashan' ceremony of the infants. He fed 'kheer' to the babies, distributed nutrition kits to pregnant women and gave away gifts to the adolescent girls at the stall. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Agriculture Minister Shri Ram Vichar Netam, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Women and Child Development Minister Mrs Lakshmi Rajwade also visited the stalls along with the Chief Minister.

At the stall of Women and Child Development Department, aanganbadi workers have put up an exhibition of various kinds of ready-to-eat dishes including Khurmi, Saloni, Gulgula, Anarsa, Airsa, Barfi, Sohri, Cheela, Saloni, Halwa, Laddoo was organized. Under Suposhan Abhiyan, an exhibition of various types of vegetables including spinach, cabbage, tiwara bhaji, laal bhaji, fenugreek, karamata, radish, amaranth, sunsunia etc. was also put up at the stall.

At the stall of Forest Department, members of women self-help groups presented laddus and cookies made of Kodo, Kutki and Ragi to Chief Minister Shri Sai. Members of Shiv Shakti tribal self-help group told Chief Minister that with the help of Pradhan Mantri Van Dhan Yojana, they have started the work of making Dona-Pattal from Annapurna Mahul leaves and they are earning good profit from the same. Under Van Dhan Yojana, Jai Dev Thakur, Jai Maa Shitala Mahila Group and Nayi Kiran Self Help Group collect raw minor forest produce from Haat-Bazaar and prepare various types of food items from the same. Members of the group make laddus, cookies, rice and flour from Kodo, Kutki, Ragi. The group also undertakes honey processing work.

During the visit, Chief Minister Shri Sai was accompanied by MP Mr. Santosh Pandey, Pandaria MLA Mrs. Bhavna Bohra, Mr. Bisram Yadav, Mr. Pawan Sai, Mr. Ajay Jamwal/
