Chief Minister inaugurates hi-tech Maa Rukhmani Jaggery Plant in Kusumghata of Kabirdham district

Raipur: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday formally inaugurated the Maa Rukhmani Jaggery Plant, which operates with modern and technical methods, in the village of Kusumghata in the Kabirdham district. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Agriculture Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade, MP Shri Santosh Pandey, and Pandaria MLA Smt. Bhavna Bohra.

Director Shri Chandrashekhar Verma informed Chief Minister Shri Sai that the jaggery plant employs new technical methods with a crushing capacity of 1200 quintals per day. This modern facility requires less labour compared to traditional jaggery plants, with only 25 to 30 laborers and skilled workers needed to initiate the jaggery-making process. Currently, there are only 7-8 such jaggery plants with modern technology operating in the district. The high crushing capacity of the plant is expected to benefit sugarcane-producing farmers in the area, leading to an overall boost in jaggery production within the district.

The inaugural event also saw the presence of Dr Purnendu Saxena, Shri Bisram Yadav, Shri Pawan Sai, and Shri Ajay Jamwal along with Chief Minister Shri Sai.
