In the meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain in the Ministry today, the decision regarding promotion of these officers was taken and it is reported that soon an order related to promotion will also be issued.

Let us tell you that in the beginning of January, a large number of IAS officers were promoted, but IPS officers did not get promotion. In the Departmental Promotion Committee meeting held in the Ministry today, the promotion of 8 IPS officers was finally approved. According to the information, these officers include the names of three IPS from 2006 batch, three from 2010 batch and two from 2011 batch.

It is noteworthy that there was a proposal to give selection grade to 2006 batch IG, 2010 batch DIG and 2011 batch. Since there was no case against these officers, the DPC has sealed the names of all.

DPC approved the promotion of these officers
  • 2006 batch IPS Mayank Srivastava, RN Das and BS Dhruv have been promoted from DIG to IG.
  • 2010 batch IPS Abhishek Meena, Sadanand and Girijashankar Jaiswal have been promoted to the post of DIG.
  • IPS Santosh Singh and Indira Kalyan Ailesla of 2011 batch have been promoted to selection grade. The designation of these officers will now be changed to SSP.
Let us tell you that this time no IPS was eligible for ADG promotion, hence no one could be promoted to the post of ADG. After getting the green signal from the Departmental Promotion Committee on the names of these 8 IPS officers for promotion, the notesheet will now go to the Chief Minister for approval. After which its official order will be issued.
