Chhattisgarh is paying the highest price for paddy to farmers

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai launched the ‘Krishak Unnati Yojana’ for farmers' welfare and development in the state at the Sarayu Prasad Agrawal Stadium in Balod district on March 12, amidst the presence of thousands of farmers and residents. Chief Minister disbursed Rs. 13,320 crore into the bank accounts of more than 24 lakh farmers in the state through DBT. Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Mohan Yadav, participated in a program held in Rajnandgaon and addressed the state-level program organised in Balod.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated,” Today is an auspicious day for the farmers of the state. We are fulfilling one more of Modi’s Guarantee; we are launching the ‘Krishak Unnati Yojana’ through which assistance of Rs. 13,320 crores is being transferred to the bank accounts of more than 24 lakh farmers. Among them, the state government has paid Rs. 13,289 crore as the difference amount of paddy procurement to 24.72 lakh farmers in the state. Similarly, the state government has also paid an amount of more than Rs. 31 crore to 2,829 Paddy farmers through the Seed Corporation in the state.

Chief Minister Shri Sai expressed gratitude to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Mohan Yadav and the Speaker of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, Dr. Raman Singh, for virtually joining the program.

Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that to fulfil the promises made to the farmers of the state, the state government has disbursed a two-year pending paddy bonus of Rs. 3716 crores into the accounts of 13 lakh farmers on Atal Ji's birth anniversary, celebrated as Good Governance Day.

He stated,” Modi Ji had promised that if the government is formed in Chhattisgarh, the state government will sanction the construction of 18 lakh houses for the eligible beneficiaries. On the second day of forming the government, our cabinet sanctioned the construction of 18 lakh houses in the state, and it will begin at a rapid pace from April onwards”.

He stated that Prime Minister Shri Modi ji had promised to start the Mahtari Vandan Yojana for women. This Yojana was initiated on March 10; more than 70 lakh women in the state received Rs. 655 crore in their bank accounts.

Shri Sai stated that Modi ji had promised the tribal that the tendupatta collection rate would be increased from the standard Rs. 4000 to Rs. 5500 per bag. He mentioned that this scheme would begin today. As the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Modi ji has entrusted him with responsibilities, and he assured that his government will fulfil all the promises made under all circumstances.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Mohan Yadav, who participated in the program virtually, stated that under Prime Minister Shri Modi's leadership, the country is progressing in all-round development. Shri Modi Ji is allocating a significant amount of money for the welfare of the public in every department. It's a challenging task to utilise these funds effectively.

The Chhattisgarh Government, led by Chief Minister Shri Sai, is working tirelessly for the development of Chhattisgarh. The people of Chhattisgarh have supported the government. In just three months, the government has taken several important decisions for the overall development of Chhattisgarh Chhattisgarh is moving towards prosperity.

It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi made a promise to the farmers of Chhattisgarh to procure paddy at a rate of Rs. 3100 per quintal. To fulfil this promise, the Chhattisgarh Government's ‘Krishak Unnati Yojana’ commenced on March 12 from Balod. Under this scheme, programs were organised in all district headquarters and development block headquarters for disbursing the assistance amount into the bank accounts of farmers through DBT.

The farmer-friendly government of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has fulfilled its promise to purchase up to 21 quintals of paddy per acre from farmers, along with disbursing a bonus amount of Rs. 3,716 crore for two years' pending bonus of paddy procurement. The Chhattisgarh Government is consistently striving to improve agriculture and the condition of farmers in the state. With success in the agricultural sector, the state's economy will strengthen, fulfilling the dream of becoming a developed state. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the Chhattisgarh Government has increased the agriculture budget by 33 percent.

Under the ‘Krishak Unnati Yojana’, the state government is providing a support price of Rs. 19,257 per acre for paddy procured at the MSP. This amount, paid to farmers based on the per-quintal value of paddy, is the highest in the country. The Chhattisgarh Government has allocated a total of Rs. 13,000 crore in this year's budget, including Rs. 10,000 crore in the current year's budget and Rs. 3,000 crore in the supplementary budget from the previous year.
