Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today paid homage to Amar Shaheed Gend Singh by offering flowers on his photograph on his martyrdom day at the Chief Minister's residence office. Remembering Amar Shaheed Gend Singh, who sacrificed his life for freedom, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Shaheed Gend Singh, the landlord of Paralkot Zamindari, had started the freedom movement against the exploitation of British officials. Shaheed Gend Singh fought against the British and opposed the policies of British rule in his area. He said that we all should remember Shaheed Gend Singh and take a pledge to follow his path and contribute to the upliftment of the society.
The unforgettable sacrifice made by Shaheed Gend Singh, the hero of the Mukti movement, who fought for the rights of the tribal brothers and sisters of Bastar, for the liberation of the motherland will continue to inspire all of us to sacrifice our all for the service of the country. On this occasion, President of All India Halba Halbi Adivasi Samaj Chhattisgarh Central Mahasabha, Shri Devendra Mahala, Shri I.R. Dehari and other members were present.
