Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today reached the residence of martyr ASP Shri Akash Rao Girpunje in the capital Raipur and paid tribute to him by offering wreath on his mortal remains in the IED blast carried out by Naxalites in Konta of Sukma district. Chief Minister Shri Sai met the bereaved family members of martyr ASP Shri Akash Rao Girpunje and expressed condolences and consoled them. He said that martyr ASP Shri Akash Rao Girpunje has made the supreme sacrifice by showing indomitable courage, loyalty and dedication towards his duty.

Forest Minister Mr. Kedar Kashyap and Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Mr. Manoj Pingua, Director General of Police Mr. Arun Dev Gautam, Additional Director General of Police Naxal Operation Mr. Vivekanand Sinha, who accompanied the Chief Minister, also paid tribute to martyr Mr. Girpunje.

Chief Minister Mr. Vishnudev Sai today postponed his proposed visit to Rajnandgaon in view of the Naxal incident in Konta of Sukma and inquired about the incident in a high level meeting of senior officials of the Home Department in his office room in Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan. Chief Minister Mr. Sai inquired from the officials about the IED blast carried out by Naxalites in Konta of Sukma district and reviewed the Naxal operations. He directed to ensure all necessary arrangements to provide proper treatment to the injured soldiers immediately.

Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Mr. Manoj Pingua, Director General of Police Mr. Arun Dev Gautam, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Subodh Kumar Singh, Additional Director General of Police Naxal Operation Mr. Vivekanand Sinha, Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Rahul Bhagat were present in the meeting.

Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Dev Sai today met the soldiers injured in the IED blast carried out by Naxalites in Konta of Sukma district at Ramkrishna Care Hospital in the capital Raipur. Chief Minister Mr. Sai enquired about the well-being of the injured soldiers and wished for their speedy recovery. He directed the doctors to provide better treatment to the injured soldiers.
