Grand Janadesh Parab organised in Janjgir-Champa on completion of two years of the Chhattisgarh government

Raipur : On the occasion of the successful completion of two years of the Chhattisgarh government under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, a grand Janadesh Parab was organised at Khokhrabhatha Police Line Ground in Janjgir-Champa district. Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Jagat Prakash Nadda, addressing the gathering from the stage, gave a clear message on the state’s achievements, public welfare initiatives and future direction.

Union Minister Shri Nadda said, “The government delivered on its words and went beyond what was promised.” 

Highlighting the two-year report card, he said the government has taken sensitive and result-oriented decisions in the interest of farmers, women, youth and workers, the impact of which is clearly visible on the ground. He said that payment of more than Rs 3,700 crore were transferred to farmers in the very first month of the government formation and direct transfers of Rs 1.25 lakh crore over the past two years are proof of respect for farmers who are our ‘Annadatas’. For landless agricultural labourers, assistance of Rs 10,000 each was provided to more than five lakh beneficiaries, strengthening their socio-economic security.

Union Minister Shri Nadda said that several major decisions strengthened the social and financial situations of the public – these decisions includes revival of transparent recruitment system for youth, recruitment processes for 32,000 posts, transparency in the Public Service Commission, establishment of Nalanda Library and modernisation of ITIs are the “foundation of future-building”. Underlining development for women and Tribal communities, he cited launch of self-reliance scheme which reaped result in past two years.

This includes Mahtari Vandan Yojana and Mahtari Sadan, other benefits under PM Janman, and empowerment of the tribal community through the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Yojana as examples of the government’s sensitivity. The Union Minister said Chhattisgarh’s railway budget has increased 22 times, a total 32 Amrit stations are being developed on world-class standards, and schemes such as Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala, Jal Jeevan Mission and PM-Kisan have reached the common people on a large scale.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated the people of the state on completion of two years of the present Chhattisgarh government and said the government is continuously working to live up to the trust of the common people. Development has gained momentum through schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Awas, Mahtari Vandan, Bhoomiheen Krishi Majdoor Kalyan Yojana and Charan Paduka Yojana.
 
The Chief Minister said there has been concrete progress towards breaking the backbone of Naxalism and achieving the goal of a Naxal-free Chhattisgarh. Through a coordinated strategy on three fronts—security, rehabilitation and development—the path of peace and prosperity has been paved. He said that through Vision Document 2047, a roadmap has been prepared to make resource-rich Chhattisgarh a strong, self-reliant and developed state, so that future generations get a state full of opportunities.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao said that organising Janadesh Parab in Janjgir-Champa is a historic moment for the district. The guarantees of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi are being fulfilled one by one in Chhattisgarh. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma said that after the formation of the government, 18 lakh houses have been sanctioned and all development works are being carried out at a fast pace, ensuring direct benefits to the common people.

Finance Minister and district in-charge Minister O.P. Choudhary, in his welcome address, said the government has strengthened democracy, public trust and good governance. Through the Vision Document, Chhattisgarh is setting new benchmarks of development. Jagdalpur MLA Shri Kiran Singh Deo congratulated the public on completion of two years of the government and said that new dimensions of development have been established during this period and the benefits of schemes have reached the last person.

During the programme, Union Minister Shri J.P. Nadda released the report card of two years of achievements of the Chhattisgarh government under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, along with the book “Sewa Ke 2 Saal”, presenting the government’s achievements over the last two years. Highlighting the distinct identity of Janjgir-Champa, guests were traditionally welcomed with ‘kosa’ and ‘kansa’. A video based on the achievements of the past two years was also screened during the programme.

Union Minister Shri J.P. Nadda and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai visited development-oriented exhibitions of various departments. While visiting they reviewed information on schemes at government department’s stalls including agriculture, horticulture, fisheries, education, women and child development, water resources, energy and cooperation. The Chief Minister interacted directly with beneficiaries and heard about the positive changes brought in their lives by the schemes. Keys were handed over to beneficiaries under the PM Awas Yojana during the programme. On the occasion, public representatives called upon officials to ensure effective implementation of schemes and delivery of benefits to the last person in the queue.
