Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel sat on the ground at the house of a woman farmer, had lunch

 Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel on Friday reached Durgukondal village during his visit to Kanker assembly constituency. His convoy stopped at the house of a woman farmer Mrs. Savita Uikey where he shared lunch with the family sitting on the ground.


Savita Uikey served ‘Karmatta-Koliari Bhaji’, ‘Chech Bhaji’, ‘Rakhiya Badi’, potato vegetable, ‘Jimmikand Sabzi’, ‘Urad-Moong Dal’, Rice, ‘Roti’, ‘Jirra Phool Chutney’, Mango Chutney and Madia Page to Chief Minister. After this, the Chief Minister also enjoyed Kheer, Chhind, Jamun and Desi Mango.

Mr. Baghel also interacted with the family members. He asked the children whether they go to school. “Yes! We both go to school. One study in class 1 and other in class 4 in Swami Atmanand English Medium School started by you”, the children replied proudly. Mayank is grade one and Rihan is in fourth grade. Expressing his happiness, Mr. Baghel gave chocolates and other prizes to both the children.

Expressing her gratitude to Chief Minister, the children's mother said “it is because of the opening of Government-run English Medium Schools that children hailing from farmer’s families like ours are now able to study in English medium schools.”
