Chief Minister reviews implementation of government schemes in Bhanupratappur
 
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel urged the officials to work with utmost dedication to ensure that the benefits of welfare schemes reach the target population besides directing to follow the instructions of state government seriously. He was reviewing the implementation of government schemes and programmes chairing a meeting of officials at Bhanupratappur today as a part of his meet-and-greet campaign. Deputy Speaker of Chhattisgarh legislative assembly Mr. Manoj Singh Mandavi, Chief Minister’s Advisor Mr. Rajesh Tiwari and Chief Minister’s Secretary Dr. S. Bharathidasan were also present in the meeting.

Mentioning that education facilities and assistive devices are being demanded by the differently-abled children, Chief Minister directed the authorities concerned to make necessary arrangements for meeting the educational requirements of children with special needs. While reviewing the work of making caste certificate in schools, he said that complete information should be collected while making provisional caste certificate, so that there is no difficulty in making permanent ones. He instructed to make arrangements for teachers in Swami Atmanand English medium schools by June 16 besides asking to ensure timely distribution of textbooks in schools.

Chief Minister reviewed works of pond construction and fish farming in Gauthans, Jal Jeevan Mission, Haat Bazar Clinic scheme and Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyan. He directed to increase the number of Haat Bazar clinics and give wide publicity to this scheme beneficial for rural masses and to ensure necessary measures for the prevention of seasonal diseases during rains. While reviewing the works of Narva Vikas Yojana, he said that people's inclination towards agriculture has increased. Therefore, the work of water recharging should be done on priority basis. He gave instructions to ensure smooth functioning of the Van-Dhan committees.

It was informed in the meeting that the number of children with severe malnutrition has reduced by 3 per cent in the last one year. Mr. Baghel said that the economic activities being conducted to develop Gauthans as Rural Industrial Parks should boost the income of common man and women groups. Instructions were given to make proper arrangements for marketing of the products being prepared by various women groups in Gauthans, to encourage different types of income-oriented activities in Gauthans, to promote the cultivation of Ginger, Turmeric, and black pepper according to the local climate. He directed to make arrangements for water in 08 rotational grazing Gauthans of Narayanpur, to register maximum cattle owners for the purchase of cow dung and to set up units of egg production. The Chief Minister asked to promote agriculture-related schemes through cooperative banks and that loans should also be given for crops other than paddy. He also urged promote cultivation of black pepper and litchi in Narayanpur besides asking forest department to do plantation of fruit-bearing trees. In addition, he instructed the forest officials to develop litchi nursery in Orchha.
