The Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel attended the Kulgaon Adarsh Gauthan in the Kanker Vidhansabha region during the Bhent Mulaqat Programme. Mrs. Sharda Koreti, a member of the local Women Self-help Group, said that talking to the Chief Minister was an incredible and unforgettable moment of her life. She added that neither she nor the other villagers had dreamt that the Chief Minister will visit their village. She also praised the efforts of the State Government to strengthen the rural economy and said that nine types of economic activities are being undertaken here.

Parvati Netam and Sushila Netam from Bevarti praised the Chief Minister and thanked him for the commendable work done by the Government in promoting prosperity in the villages. The women said that the representatives and officers of the Government are visiting the villages regularly and are encouraging the villagers to reap the benefits of the Government schemes. The schemes of the Government are improving the economic status of women which can be clearly perceived by their increased confidence.
The Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said on this occasion that this center, developed as Gandhi Udyan for the purpose of rural economic empowerment will also work as a good training center. He said that we won’t have to go anywhere else for our work.
There are many available resources around us which can be effectively utilized to start an era of economic progress. Emphasizing on processing, the Chief Minister said that about 250 women from Bakavand in Bastar district have secured employment through cashew nut processing. Similarly, in Katekalyan, nets are being used for Mahua collection so that the Mahua doesn’t fall on the ground and its quality remains intact. This Mahua is being exported to London, where it is being sold at Rs. 116 per Kg. He also suggested the use of steel knives for cutting mangoes for producing Aamchur instead of iron ones. This would ensure that the Aamchur doesn’t turn black and they get a good price for it in the market. The Chief Minister appealed to all the people to reap the benefits of these Government schemes.
