Bhent-Mulaqat programme has been commenced from the remote forest areas to know whether the benefits of the government schemes are reaching the last mile or not : Chief Minister Mr. Baghel

 CM announcements: New college at Pondi-Bachra, Swami Atmanand English School,  Primary Health Center to be upgraded as Community Health Center, Co-operative Bank branch, Police outpost, New Bridge on Ghanuhar Nallah and Electricity Sub Station at Sakaria

 
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday commenced his meet and greet programme in Baikunthpur assembly constituency by offering prayers at Devgudi in village Pondi-Bachra. On the demand of villagers, the Chief Minister announced the opening of a new college and Swami Atmanand English School in Pondi-Bachra, upgradation of Pondi-Bachra Primary Health Center into Community Health Center to improve healthcare facilities and opening of cooperative bank branch for expansion of banking facilities. Other announcements include upgrading the police help center into a police outpost, construction of a new bridge over Ghanuhar Nallah near village Mansukh for smooth flow of traffic and establishment of a new power sub-station in village Sakariya.

The Chief Minister commenced his mammoth public interaction drive by worshiping the 'Chhattisgarh Mahtari'. He took direct feedback from the villagers about the implementation of government schemes. Elaborating the key purpose of this drive, Mr. Baghel said that he wants to know whether people are getting the benefits of the government schemes especially in the remote forest areas. Villagers attended the programme in large numbers despite heavy rains.

Starting the discussion with villagers, he urged them to ask questions. The Chief Minister said that this year the State Government has procured a record 98 lakh metric tonnes of paddy at support price. All the farmers are getting the benefit of Rajiv Gandhi Nyay Yojana. Through this scheme, efforts are being made to ensure that farmer's get the right price for their produce.

While interacting with Chief Minister, Mr. Balaram said that the Government of India is not supplying manure in adequate quantity and I have bought 40 bags of vermicompost. Assuring him thay there will be no shortage of organic manure in state, Chief Minister said fertilizer factories are being set up from village to village in the form of Gauthans.  Shri Ram Narayan told the Chief Minister that by selling 90 quintals of cow dung, he had earned an income of Rs 18,000, which he spent on his daughter's wedding. Kamla of village Pondi said that she is indulged in the work of earthworm production in Gauthan and has generated an income of Rs 5 lakh 25 thousand so far. Apart from this, Kamala has earned an income of Rs 3.80 lakh by selling 380 quintals of vermicompost. She has used this money for expansion of her business and opening A seed shop. The Chief Minister congratulated Shri Ram Narayan and Smt. Kamala Bai and  encouraged them to expand their business.

Besides, Chief Minister interacted with Satakshi, a student of Swami Atmanand English Medium School. Satakshi gave answers to Chief Minister's questions in Chhattisgarhi in English language. Heaping praise on the girl's reply, Cheif Minister wished her a bright future.Satakshi said that opening of Swami Atmanand English Medium School in other places will also benefit major chunk of students across the state. The Chief Minister expressed happiness over the distribution of Forestland Rights Certificates. The beneficiaries present in the programme together expressed their happiness by displaying their forestland rights certificates. It is worth mentioning that more than 17,000  forestland rights certificates have been distributed in the district. Chief Minister also inspected the primary health center. Parliamentary Secretary Mrs. Ambika Singh Deo, local public representatives and a large number of villagers were present during the programme.
