Chhattisgarh to have 33 districts from September 9 Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel will inaugurate 2 new districts

 32nd district will be  Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur and Sakti will come into existence as 33rd district


Chief Minister will inaugurate the office of Collector and Superintendent of Police

Chief Minister will grant development works worth crores of rupees to the newly formed district residents.

 Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel is going to launch the formation of two new districts on 9 September after giving 3 new districts to the people of the state last week. From this day,the 32nd district will be Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur and Sakti will come into existence as the 33rd district. In this way the number of districts in the state will increase to 33. In the newly formed districts, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel will inaugurate the office of Collector and Superintendent of Police and will also conduct road shows.Development works worth crores of rupees will also be granted by Mr. Baghel for the newly formed district.
 Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur will now emerge as new administrative units after separating them from Koriya district and  from Janjgir-Champa. Unprecedented joy prevails in the remote forest areas of Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur and in Sakti. With the new district coming into existence, a new wave of development will flow in various avenues such as health,education,food,road connectivity and internet connectivity. 

The proposed new district will be under the Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur Surguja division. The number of sub-divisions in the newly formed district is 3,in which Manendragarh, Bharatpur and Kharagwan are included, while the number of tehsils is 6 which includes Manendragarh, Kelhari, Bharatpur, Kharagwan, Chirmiri and Kotadol. There are 3 Janpad Panchayat namely Manendragarh, Kharagwan, Bharatpur. There are 5 urban bodies in which Municipal Corporation Chirmiri, Municipal Council Manendragarh, Nagar Panchayat Jhagrakhand, Nagar Panchayat Khongapani and Nagar Panchayat New Ledri are also  included.

The total number of villages in the proposed newly constituted Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district is 376. There are 13 Revenue Inspector Boards and 87 Patwari halka. The geographical area of ​​the proposed new district is 1 lakh 46 thousand 824 hectares. The population here is 3 lakh 76 thousand 696. The number of villages in Tehsil of Manendragarh is 59, in Kelhari 74, in Bharatpur 108, in Kharagwan 44 and in Chirmiri 16 while in the Tehsil of Kotadol,the number is 75. The newly formed district also includes tourist places like Amritdhara Falls, Siddhababa Temple (Manendragarh), Sitamarhi-Harchouka (Ramvangaman Tourist Circuit), Bharatpur, Ramdaha Falls.

 Similarly, the proposed new district of Sakti will include a total of 5 tehsils including Tehsil Sakti, Malkharoda, Jaijaipur and Tehsil Dabhra of subdivision Sakti. The newly formed Sakti district will have Kartala Tehsil (District Korba) in the north, Sarangarh (District-Raigarh) in the south. , Kharsia (District-Raigarh) in the east and Saragaon, Bamhanidih tehsil (Janjgir Champa) in the west. Sakti district has 2 sub-divisions, Sakti and Dabhra (new district Sakti includes proposed subdivisions of Malkharoda and Jaijaipur) 5 tehsils respectively- Sakti, Dabhra, Jaijaipur, Malkharoda and new Baradwar (proposed tehsil Adbhar) Sub Tehsil- Chandrapur, Hasaud, Bhothia and 4 Block/District Panchayats will include Sakti, Jaijaipur, Malkharoda and Dabhra respectively.
Sakti district will consist of 18 Revenue Inspector Divisions. These include Jajang, Sakti, Portha, Naya Baradwar, Nagarda, Sakra, Adbhar, Chapora, Malkharoda, Thathari, Jaijaipur, Beladula, Hasaud, Deorghata, Dhurkot, Dabhra, Sapos and Chandrapur. The total revenue area of ​​the district is 1,51,976 square kilometer. According to the 2011 census the population of the district is 6,47,254. The total number of villages is 465, populated village is 463, unpopulated village is 2, total number of Patwari Halkas are 153. Sakti district will consist of 319 gram panchayats and 6 urban bodies. The newly formed district also includes tourist places like Chandrahasini Mata Temple Chandrapur, Adbhar Ashtabhuji Mata Temple, Rainkhol, Damaudraha.
