Instructed to suspend a medical officer for negligence
Notice to BMO and officer-in-charge
Today, on the fourth day of ‘Bhent-Mulaqat Abhiyan’, Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel reached Latori village in the Bhatgaon constituency of Surajpur district. There he visited a Community Health Center and inquired about the health facilities. He also inquired about the supply and distribution of medicines from the Medical Officer. The Chief Minister expressed deep displeasure over the non-maintenance of the stock register and distribution of medicines and instructed to suspend the medical officer Rakesh Kumar Sao for negligence. The Chief Minister also instructed to issue show-cause notices to Block Medical Officer Dr. Prashant Singh and the office-in-charge Shatrughan Bhagat in this matter.
During the visit to the Community Health Center, the Chief Minister also met with the patients who came for treatment. The Chief Minister said that people should get better health services and free medicines, it should be ensured at all times. He said that information about the supply of medicines, stock register and distribution should be maintained. Information about the patients visiting the health centre for treatment and the medicines distributed to them free of cost should also be maintained.
