Raipur : Recalling an anecdote from the early years of his political career, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai emphasized the urgent need to reform the revenue administration. "Back in 1990, when I was newly elected as an MLA, a tall, saintly-looking man approached me with an application. He had been running from pillar to post in the revenue office since 1964, the year I was born, for a resolution to his case. He remembered every detail of his matter by heart and did not even need to refer to any documents.

I personally took him to the SDM office in my car and ensured his case was resolved," he recalled during a review meeting of the Revenue Department held at his residence today. Stressing the need for systemic improvements, he emphasized that the Revenue Department is directly linked to the common man and that there is an urgent need to work towards enhancing its public image. The meeting was attended by Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma.

Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that Patwaris (village revenue officers) who have been stationed at the same place for long periods should be transferred to different locations at regular intervals. He emphasized the need to establish a system where transfers become mandatory after a specified tenure in a particular Halka or Tehsil area. "The public often requires Patwaris’ assistance for their day-to-day official work," he noted. Directing the officers, Shri Sai insisted that Patwaris must ensure they stay at their designated headquarters and perform their duties from there.

He also issued directives to complete the process of transferring the ownership rights of various government office lands across the state in favour of the government through a special campaign. Additionally, he called for expeditious action to distribute urban leases in urban areas.

The Chief Minister stressed on speeding up the resolution of revenue cases, including inheritance transfers, division of property, and undisputed transfers, ensuring that they are addressed within the given timeframe. He encouraged the Revenue Department to work diligently on digital innovations aimed at enhancing citizen services.

Secretary of the Revenue Department, Shri Avinash Champawat, apprised the Chief Minister of the various schemes, activities, and requirements of the department. He shared an updated overview of the administrative structure along with details on key initiatives such as the Swamitva Scheme, functioning of the Relief Office, Revenue Courts, geo-referencing, and digital crop survey, among others.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Secretaries to the Chief Minister, Shri P. Dayanand and Shri Rahul Bhagat, Commissioner of Land Records Shri Ramesh Sharma, and other senior officials.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today laid foundation for various development projects worth Rs 22.97 crores in a ceremony held at Ward No. 03 of Durg city. The event was graced by the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao, Member of Parliament Shri Vijay Baghel, MLAs Shri Gajendra Yadav and Shri Rikesh Sen, Mayor of Durg Shri Dheeraj Bakliwal, along with numerous other public representatives and distinguished citizens.

During the ceremony, Chief Minister Shri Sai initiated the groundwork for a diverse set of development projects aimed at enhancing the city's infrastructure and civic facilities. Among the projects, a significant highlight was the development of a sports ground in Urla at an estimated cost of Rs 1.98 crores. Additionally, Rs 88.47 lakhs have been sanctioned for road safety development works at Rajendra Park Chowk, which shows the administration’s focus on improving traffic management and safety.

Another major undertaking is a tree plantation initiative at various locations, budgeted at Rs 1.66 crores, emphasizing the government’s commitment towards environmental sustainability. Furthermore, with an investment of Rs 1.35 crores, road tarring works at eight different sites and the installation of paver blocks at another site in multiple wards are planned to enhance connectivity and road infrastructure. The construction of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Sarva Samaj Mangal Bhavan near the Gaya Nagar 33 kV power station worth Rs 1.99 crores, aims to provide a dedicated community space catering to various social and cultural activities.

Another noteworthy initiative is the construction of a cultural building behind the Satnam Bhavan Ayurvedic Hospital in Ward No. 15, with a project cost of Rs 49.98 lakhs, which is expected to serve as a hub for local arts and culture. Moreover, a comprehensive set of 59 developmental works, including road, drain, and culvert construction in various wards across the city, will be undertaken with a financial outlay of Rs 8.33 crores, significantly boosting the overall infrastructure of the city. The foundation for crucial water supply projects (Part A & B) in Ward No. 32, Shikshak Nagar, amounting to Rs 2.72 crores, was also laid, which will address long-standing water supply issues in the area.

As part of efforts to promote cultural heritage, a statue of Lord Birsa Munda will be installed at Rajendra Park Chowk at an estimated cost of Rs 25 lakhs, honouring the contributions of tribal leaders. An additional hall will be constructed on the first floor of Gondwana Bhavan, with a budget allocation of Rs 50 lakhs, providing more space for community functions and events. Further, various developmental works under the MLA fund, valued at Rs 2.14 crores, have been approved to cater to local demands, while Rs 65 lakhs have been allocated from In-charge Minister’s fund to address specific needs in the region.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai graced the closing ceremony of the First All India Weightlifting Cluster Championship 2024-25, held at the First Battalion Chhattisgarh Armed Force Complex in Bhilai on September 27. During his address, he affirmed the state government's commitment to promoting sports in Chhattisgarh, stating that every effort is being made to provide athletes with the necessary support. In a significant announcement, he also declared a grant of Rs. 1 crore to complete the ongoing construction of the indoor stadium at the First Battalion Bhilai. The championship started on September 23.

The Chief Minister lauded the enthusiasm of the police personnel for actively engaging in sports despite their duties, emphasising how regular participation in sports fosters fitness. He further highlighted that India's spirit of unity in diversity is well-represented through sports, noting that weightlifting, in particular, brings to light the immense physical capabilities of the human body.

Shri Sai elaborated on the coordinated efforts of both the Central and State Governments in promoting sports, underscoring Chhattisgarh's strides in enhancing sports infrastructure. He announced the forthcoming Bastariya Olympics, which aim to celebrate and promote sports in Bastar, a region that is gradually witnessing the return of peace after years of unrest. He explained that once peace is restored, cultural and sporting activities naturally flourish.

Additionally, the state government is launching the ‘Chhattisgarh Krida Protsahan Yojana’ to encourage traditional sports and will soon establish a centre of the Laxmibai National Institute of Physical Education in the state to nurture sports talent. The Chief Minister reiterated the state's focus on a wide range of sports, mentioning ongoing efforts to support athletics, Kabaddi, and archery academies.

At the event, Sports Minister Shri Tankram Verma shared the state government’s vision for Chhattisgarh’s athletes to achieve notable success on the national and international stage, bringing pride to the state and country. DGP Shri Ashok Juneja spoke about the significance and objectives of the All India Weightlifting Cluster Championship, emphasising the vital role of sports in fostering physical and mental well-being. Additional DGP Shri Vivekanand Sinha delivered the welcome address.

The ceremony recognised the athletes who excelled in the championship, with winners being honoured for their exceptional performances. The event also featured a colourful march-past by the athletes and cultural presentations by the participants. At the conclusion, Commander Shri Rajesh Kukreja of the First Battalion Chhattisgarh Armed Forces Bhilai extended his gratitude to all attendees.

Raipur : Opening the doors to development and boost Durg city’s infrastructure and economy, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Friday announced the approval of several projects in the Bhumi Poojan program organized in ward three Mathpara of Durg city.

These projects ranges from road construct to construction of multi-level parking in Indira Market of Durg, road widening from Science College to Railway Station Canal Road, road widening from Chandi Mandir to Naya Para Chowk. Under the category of public health and hygiene, ‘pink toilets’ will be developed for women at major intersections of the city. The Chief Minister made these announcements on the demand of the MP and the local MLA. In the program, the Chief Minister performed the Bhoomi Pujan of various development works costing Rs 22.97 crore under the Durg Municipal Corporation area.

Addressing the program, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the state government is determined to develop villages as well as cities. “By trusting the guarantee of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the general public gave us a chance to form the government. I have come to thank the people for the blessings they have given us,” said Shri Sai.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that if we look at the last 9 months, the state government has performed a remarkable work in a short time for farmers, women and youth. He said that 18 lakh houses will be constructed for needy families under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana. Keeping in mind women empowerment, under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, about 70 lakh women are being provided financial assistance of Rs 12,000 annually at the rate of Rs 1000 per month.

The Tendu leaf collection rate has been increased from Rs 4000 per standard sack to Rs 5500 per standard sack. The people of the state are being taken on the Ayodhya Dham Yatra under the Ramlala Darshan Yojana. The program was chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao. MP Shri Vijay Baghel, MLA Shri Gajendra Yadav and MLA Shri Rakesh Sen were present in the program as special guests.

While presiding over the program Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao said that it was a long awaited moment. There will be no shortage of money for the development of cities in the state. Around 167 works worth Rs 43.67 crore have already been approved. He congratulated and wished the people of Durg for the upcoming development works in the city.

He said that since the government was formed under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, all the works are being done swiftly. Funds are being released for urban development works under the leadership of the government. With the motto of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas, plans are being made and implemented without any discrimination. Continuous work is being done in this direction to make our state clean and beautiful.

Appreciating the occasion of Bhumi Poojan and announcement of development works, MP Shri Vijay Baghel said, “Shri Sai government is continuously doing development work in Chhattisgarh. We feel overwhelmed while praising him and I am grateful that he approved our demand of the construction of auditorium in Durg and Bhilai Nagar and Pink toilets for women.”

Local MLA Shri Gajendra Yadav presented the outline of the development of the city in his welcome address. He also drew the attention of the Chief Minister towards the construction of multi-level parking in Indira Market and canal road behind Science College. Raipur : A one-day Divisional Judicial Seminar of Judicial Officers was organized at New Convention Hall of New Circuit House, Raipur by Chhattisgarh State Judicial Academy, which was participated by 111 Judicial Officers from four Civil Districts. This Divisional Seminar marks a significant milestone in the history of the judicial community. For the first time, it was graced by the presence and address of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ramesh Sinha, Chief Justice of the High Court of Chhattisgarh. The event was also graced with presence of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Parth Prateem Sahu, Judge, High Court of Chhattisgarh.

In his insightful keynote address during Inaugural Session, Hon’ble Chief Justice Shri Ramesh Sinha emphasized the crucial role of judicial officers as custodians of public trust and their obligation to deliver unbiased and prompt justice. Addressing the Judicial Officers on public trust held by Judicial Office, Hon’ble The Chief Justice expressed “What is that a common man expects from judiciary? He wants justice - unbiased and expeditious. To meet such expectations, A judge, akin to Caesar’s wife, must remain above suspicion, guided by steady conscience, while discharging his duties with integrity and intellectual honesty.”

Hon’ble The Chief Justice also accentuated upon the critical importance of Divisional Seminars for enhancing legal knowledge, sharing best practices, and fostering collaborative learning among Judicial Officers. He stressed that the dynamic nature of law, coupled with the evolving challenges faced by society, necessitates continuous learning and adaptation.

Hon’ble Chief Justice Shri Ramesh Sinha specifically highlighted upon the complex issue of implementation of provisions of Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act for Rape victims, where despite existent legal provisions under the Act, if a rape victim is compelled to approach High Court, it indicates a gap in the practical application of law among Stakeholders. Hon’ble The Chief Justice emphasized the need for interactive learning experiences and a deeper understanding of legal provisions to address such sensitive cases effectively.

Raising concerns about the delay tactics being played with Interlocutory applications in Civil trials and hesitation on part of Judicial Officers to take bold decisions, Hon’ble The Chief Justice expressed that “I urge all Judicial Officers to carry out their judicial duties boldly and judiciously and to ensure that law should not be used as a tool for oppression but as an instrument of justice. I would like to assure here that your actions in pursuit of justice will undoubtedly receive strong support from the High Court..”

Addressing the broader landscape of legal development, Hon’ble The Chief Justice highlighted the growing importance of understanding Artificial Intelligence, technological advancement, and forensic evidence in the modern Justice System. Quoting the renowned Jurist Nani Palkhivala, Hon’ble The Chief Justice said that "The law cannot afford to stay static while society advances."

Hon’ble The Chief Justice during his address stressed upon humility to acknowledge the potential for learning and further highlighted the indispensable role of seminars in fostering an environment of continuous learning and adaptability. He noted that by sharing best practices and innovative solutions, judicial officers can effectively tackle contemporary challenges, reinforcing the efficiency and efficacy of the judicial system and such collaborative platforms in form of Divisional Seminars help judicial officers learn from diverse perspectives and from each other.

This event marked not just a tectonic shift in tradition but a leap towards a more interconnected and dynamically engaged judicial community. The event was participated by Registrar General, Principal Secretary (Law), Director, Chhattisgarh State Judicial Academy, Principal District Judges and Judicial officers from the districts of Raipur, Baloda Bazar, Mahasamund, and Dhamtari to delve into pressing legal issues that continue to shape the practice and administration of justice. These regions, forming the Raipur Division, welcomed a congregation of legal minds committed to addressing the complexities of modern jurisprudence, reinforcing their responsibility as guardians of justice amidst evolving societal challenges.

Farmer Ramanlal Sahu Becomes a Saviour for Stray Cattle

Raipur : Farmer Shri Ramanlal Sahu of Gadadih village in Dhamtari district, who promotes organic farming, was recently honoured by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. Shri Sahu plays a vital role in enhancing soil fertility through organic farming, while also contributing to water conservation through crop rotation.

In today’s modern era, farming is not given as much importance as government jobs or other options of livelihood. However, with various schemes introduced by the Chhattisgarh Government for farmers, including the procurement of paddy at support prices, people are being encouraged to turn towards agriculture. Progressive farmer Shri Ramanlal Sahu has moved beyond traditional farming methods and embraced modern agricultural practices.

His efforts in promoting organic farming have yielded remarkable results in soil, water, and environmental conservation. Shri Sahu mentions that for the past eight years, he has been cultivating organic paddy on more than 3 acres of land. In the direction of water conservation, he cultivates pulses and oilseeds during the rabi season. This not only enhances the soil’s fertility but also increases crop production.

Shri Sahu also explains that, alongside being a farmer, he is an animal caretaker. Near his farm, in about 25 decimals of land, he has established a cowshed to shelter stray cattle that roam around the streets and neighbourhoods. The dung from these cattle is used in organic farming, while the sale of milk provides him with a monthly income of Rs 9,000. Shri Sahu further shares that he has constructed a small pond in his field to ensure a water supply for the cattle. Additionally, solar panels have been installed with the help of CREDA (Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Agency). He has also set up a biogas plant to generate fodder for the cattle.

Shri Ramanlal Sahu actively educates other farmers about the harmful effects of chemical farming and encourages them to adopt organic farming practices. Using cow dung and cow urine from his cowshed, he ensures the production of poison-free grains, which are then delivered to consumers.

Instructions given for Magisterial Inquiry of arson incident

Rengakhar police station in-charge and entire staff transferred

Raipur : Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Friday ordered the removal of Kabirdham Collector and SP after an arson incident reported in Kawardha’s Loharidih village of Kabirdham district.

Chief Minister has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the tragic death of Shri Raghunath Sahu, who died in an arson incident after the death of Shri Shivprasad Sahu on September 15 in Loharidih village. In response to this incident, the Chief Minister has removed 23 police personnel from their posts including the Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspector at Rengakhar police station due to allegations of police brutality against villagers.

Following the Chief Minister's directives, the Kabirdham district ‘s Collector Shri Janmejaya Mahobe has been replaced by Shri Gopal Verma while

Superintendent of Police Shri Abhishek Pallav has been replaced by Shri Rajesh Kumar Agarwal. Additionally, IPS officer Mr Vikas Kumar, who was serving as Additional Superintendent of Police in Kabirdham, has already been suspended.

To execute the magisterial inquiry the team of officials includes Kabirdham’s Collector and District Magistrate along with Additional District Magistrate Mr Nirbhay Kumar Sahu as the investigating officers. They had been directed to investigate and submit a report within 30 days.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai emphasized that any negligence in such incidents will not be tolerated in the future and strict action will be implemented against those accountable.

Raipur : Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Shri Vishnu Deo Sai chaired the Cabinet Meeting today at Mahanadi Bhavan, Mantralaya, where several significant decisions were taken. Cabinet has approved the proposal to amend the reconstitution orders of Chhattisgarh State Rural and Other Backward Classes Development Authority, Surguja Tribal Development Authority, Scheduled Caste Development Authority, Mid-Area Tribal Development Authority, and Bastar Tribal Development Authority.

Cabinet has also approved partial amendments in the reconstitution orders of the five development authorities established in the state. These amendments expand the scope of representation in all five authorities. Now, all the ministers of the state’s cabinet, as well as the Members of Parliament (Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha) and District Panchayat Chairpersons of the respective authority areas, will be included as members. Additionally, the Principal Secretary/Secretary of the Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department will also be nominated as members. All other existing members will remain unchanged.

Chhattisgarh State Rural and Other Backward Classes Development Authority

The cabinet has approved the proposed amendment to the reconstitution order of Chhattisgarh State Rural and Other Backward Classes Development Authority. In accordance with this amendment, Chief Minister will serve as the Chairman, and the MLAs of the region will serve as the Vice-Chairman of the Authority. Previously, only three ministers were members of the Authority, but with the approval of the proposed amendment, all the cabinet ministers of the state will be appointed as the members of the Authority. Members of Parliament (Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha) and District Panchayat Presidents of the area under the Authority will also be included as members. Likewise, Principal Secretary/Secretary of the Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department will also be a member of the Authority. Position of the 35 MLAs and other members who were previously included in the Authority will remain unchanged.

The order to reconstitute Surguja Tribal Development Authority has been amended. Hon’ble Chief Minister will serve as the Chairman of the Authority, and the MLAs (reserved for Scheduled Tribes) of the region will serve as the Vice-Chairman. Previously, only the Minister for Tribal Welfare and the Finance Minister were included as members. But now, as a result of the amendment, Members of Parliament (Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha), and District Panchayat Presidents from the tribal-dominated districts of the authority area will be included members of Surguja Tribal Development Authority. Additionally, a maximum of two social workers and experts associated with tribal development (nominated by the state government), the Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary/Secretary of the Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department, and the Principal Secretary/Secretary to Chief Minister will serve also as members of Surguja Tribal Development Authority. The 14 MLAs who were previously appointed will continue to serve as members of the Authority.

Scheduled Caste Development Authority

As per the approved amendments, Hon’ble Chief Minister will serve as the Chairman of Scheduled Caste Development Authority, and the MLAs (reserved for Scheduled Castes) will serve as the Vice-Chairman. In place of two ministers, all the ministers of the state cabinet, Members of Parliament (Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha), and District Panchayat Presidents (Scheduled Castes) will now be members. Additionally, a maximum of two social workers and experts associated with Scheduled Caste development (nominated by the state government), the Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary/Secretary of the Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department, and the Principal Secretary/Secretary to Chief Minister will also serve as members. The 10 MLAs who were already appointed as members will continue to serve in the same capacity.

Mid-Area Tribal Development Authority

Chief Minister will serve as the Chairman, and the MLAs (reserved for Scheduled Tribes) of the region will serve as the Vice-Chairman. As per the amendments approved today at the Cabinet Meeting, Chief Minister will serve as the Chairman of the Authority, and the MLAs (reserved for Scheduled Tribes) of the area will serve as the Vice-Chairman. In place of the previously included two ministers, all the ministers of the cabinet, Members of Parliament (Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha), and District Panchayat Chairpersons from the tribal-dominated districts of the authority area will be appointed members of the authority.

A maximum of two social workers and experts associated with tribal development (nominated by the state government), the Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary/Secretary of the Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department, and the Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary/Secretary will serve as members. Status of the 12 MLAs who were previously appointed as members will remain unchanged.

Cabinet has also approved a grant of Rs 4 crore 56 lakh 72 thousand from the Chief Minister’s discretionary fund for 262 individuals and institutions. In another major decision, Cabinet has sanctioned a comprehensive urban development policy (TDS) for the restructuring of land plots and the implementation of approved development plans across the state. The Housing and Environment Department has been authorized to issue guidelines in this regard.

This urban development policy aims to promote the proper development of public utility land proposed in development plans, discourage encroachments and illegal constructions, and resolve the lack of modern civic amenities for urban populations. The urban development plans will be implemented for residential, commercial, industrial, or other purposes.

Raipur : Chhattisgarh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, is adhering to a zero-tolerance policy on corruption. During the recent held Collectors' Conference, Chief Minister Shri Sai had issued strict instructions to officials emphasizing zero tolerance towards corruption. His firm stance on this issue is being rigorously enforced on the ground. Recently, an incident came to light where new textbooks printed for the 2024-25 academic session by the Chhattisgarh Textbook Corporation were sold as scrap.

Upon receiving complaint regarding the sale of new textbooks to a scrap dealer at Real Board Paper Mill in Silyari, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai took immediate and serious note of the situation. He directed Additional Chief Secretary, Mrs. Renu Pillai, to conduct a thorough investigation of the incident. Findings of the preliminary investigation indicated the negligence of the General Manager of Chhattisgarh Textbook Corporation, Mr. Prem Prakash Sharma, an officer of the State Administrative Service. Consequently, Mr. Sharma has been suspended with immediate effect under Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Classification, Control, and Appeal) Rules, 1966.

After showcasing a firm stance during the Collectors' and SPs' Conference, Chief Minister’s decision to suspend the official reinforces that he will not tolerate administrative negligence under any circumstances.

Chief Minister's decision to assign the investigation of this textbook disposal incident to the most senior officer after the Chief Secretary, signifies that the era of administrative leniency in the state is over. Any act of negligence or corruption will undoubtedly be met with strict action.

It is noteworthy that recently, Chief Minister Sai’s stern approach has been evident in several administrative decisions. He remains uncompromising on critical issues such as education and health. Chief Minister has directed stringent action against officers and employees who display indifference towards their official responsibilities. He affirmed that this government is committed to good governance and maintains zero tolerance towards corruption. Negligence by any officer or employee in the execution of their official duties will not be tolerated, and immediate stringent action will be taken in such cases.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai provided immediate financial assistance for medical treatments and distributed assistive devices, such as motorised tricycles and walkers, to persons with disabilities during the ‘Jandarshan’ program at his residence in Raipur on September 19. Thousands of people from across the state, representing all age groups, gathered to meet the Chief Minister with their issues and applications. The program, which started at noon and lasted until 7 PM, saw Shri Sai attentively listening to each individual's concerns and issuing prompt instructions for their resolution.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai provided immediate financial assistance to people in need of medical treatments

During the event, the Chief Minister handed over a cheque of Rs. 1 lakh to Usha Thakur from Amapara, Raipur, for her oral cancer treatment. He also provided a cheque of Rs. 25,000 for the treatment of Roshan Sahu's 8-year-old son from Gudhiyari, Raipur, and a cheque of Rs. 15,000 to divyang artist Vivek Bhonsle for the purchase of musical instruments. Additionally, Shri Sai distributed motorised tricycles to divyangs Rajuram Vacham and Leelashankar Sahu, a wheelchair to Mohammad Rashid Qureshi, an elbow crutch to Indrasan Goswami, and a walker to Vivek Sharma.

Special arrangements for seating and refreshments were made for the visitors as per the Chief Minister's instructions. To ensure a smooth experience for everyone, the entry process at the Chief Minister's residence was streamlined, and a mobile medical unit was set up to offer health check-ups for the attendees

During the Jandarshan program, Shri Sai also met with Vinod Kumar Lakra from Kadelkachhar village in Jashpur district, who requested the initiation of road construction from Junadih to Barkani. Villagers from Maldi in the Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district appealed for the protection of their village reservoir from encroachment and action against those responsible. The Chief Minister assured them of an investigation and appropriate action. Responding to complaints about the lack of doctors and inadequate treatment at the Bilaigarh Community Health Centre, Shri Sai instructed the Collector to take effective measures.

Additionally, visually impaired Kumari Rupvarsha from Jashpur requested an Orbit Reader device to assist with her studies, while Durgesh Nandini Rathore from Kharsiya in Raigarh district sought land on lease for vegetable cultivation and fish farming. The Chief Minister directed the Collector of Raigarh to take appropriate action. For Sagar Dewangan from Durg, who lost his left hand in an accident, Shri Sai instructed the social welfare department officials to provide a free artificial limb.

Chief Minister encourages young female athletes

The Chief Minister also took the opportunity to encourage young female athletes. Chain Kumari Nishad from Mahasamund and Ranjita Khalko from Raipur, who won bronze medals in the Asian Cup Beach Woodball Championship held in South Korea from August 25 to 30, attended the Jandarshan program. Shri Sai invited both athletes to the stage, boosted their morale, and took photographs with them.

The state has been allocated Rs 1,171 crore from the central government for the improvement of its roadways, education, infrastructure, and healthcare sectors. Chhattisgarh now ranks among the top five states receiving special assistance under the Centre’s Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) scheme. In fact, Chhattisgarh has surpassed states such as Assam, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Tripura, Goa, and Sikkim.

Chhattisgarh Government is consistently advancing its initiatives to enhance the ease of living and improve the standard of living for its people. From Bastar to Surguja, the government has been proactive in understanding the challenges faced by various sections of society and taking swift decisions for their welfare. This approach has fostered a stronger bond between the government and the public, which is why Chhattisgarh ranks among the top five states in the Centre's CAPEX scheme.

Simplifying the process for obtaining No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for various business and industrial units affiliated with governmental departments further highlights Chief Minister Shri Sai’s visionary approach towards strengthening the ease of living. Raipur : A pickup vehicle carrying 25 to 30 devotees returning from the Shiva Dham Kailash Cave in Jashpur district overturned after falling into a deep ravine, injuring several passengers. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai directed the district administration to ensure proper medical care for the injured. The district administration has dispatched ambulances along with medical teams to the accident site. The injured have been taken to Bagicha Hospital, with those in serious condition referred to Ambikapur for further treatment.

The accident occurred near Songersa in the Bagicha police station area. Upon receiving news of the accident, local authorities, including the subdivisional officer and police, were sent to the site to assist with rescue operations. Nearby villagers played a crucial role in quickly transporting the injured to the hospital using their vehicles.

Raipur : In a welfare move, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Tuesday announced the launch of duo schemes of Annapurna Dal-Bhat Center in all the districts of the state and Atal Utkrisht Shiksha Sahayata Yojana to provide free education facilities to the children of registered labor families in the recognized residential schools.

In the program organized at Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya campus, Chief Minister congratulated the labourer and workers on Vishwakarma Day, transferred an amount of Rs 49.43 crore to more than 57,000 registered families under various schemes through DBT to their accounts.

Chief Minister Shri Sai honoured the Shramveers by presenting them Shawls. On this occasion, he released the coffee table book 'Cradles of Hope' prepared by the Labour Department. The programme was presided over by Labour Minister Shri Lakhanlal Dewangan.

Chief Minister Shri Sai appreciated the Shramev Jayate App and Shramik Helpline number launched by the Labour Department in the interest of workers. He said that during the first term of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, he worked as the Minister of State for Labour at the Centre for around three years. At that time workers received very low pension amounts and later on the initiative of the Prime Minister, this amount was increased to Rs 1000. They were eligible for availing Provident Fund (PF) along with allotment of a universal numbers to the workers. Through this universal number, workers were entitled for various benefits across the country. Previously, when labourers did not claim their PF amounts, the pending sum of Rs 27,000 crore was paid out.

Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh said, “State government has given top priority to good governance and transparency in the implementation of schemes. An assistance amount has been sent to the workers through DBT under various schemes. Workers are now getting the amount directly in their bank accounts without any involvement of middleman.” Many welfare schemes, which were discontinued by the previous government, had been reinstated by Chief Minister Shri Sai. This is a joyous occasion for the workers, he added.

Labor Minister Shri Dewangan said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, many welfare schemes are being initiated for the benefit of the workers of the state. At present, the state government has provided assistance amount of Rs 235 crore to the workers through different schemes. The direct benefit of which is being received by the workers and their family members.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma said that Shramev Jayate App, Grievance Redressal Portal and Toll Free Number have been started and these services will enable Shramveers to resolve their problems at their convenience. Raipur MP Shri Brijmohan Agarwal said that Shramveers are the backbone of our state and they deserve credit for being one of the most efficient factor in this progress. Our government is always working for the dignity of Shramveers.

Raipur : Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated 6 new Vande Bharat Express trains in the country. He flagged off these trains at a program organized in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. While Chhattisgarh also received Vande Bharat train from Durg to Visakhapatnam.

On this occasion, a grand program was organized at Raipur Railway Station in which Governor Shri Ramen Deka attended as the chief guest.

Governor Shri Deka said, “Vande Bharat Express, which runs at an average speed of 130 kilometers per hour, will cover the distance between Durg and Visakhapatnam in just 8 hours. At present other trains cover this distance in 11 hours, but Vande Bharat will set a new benchmark in saving our time. This train will not only make our journeys faster but will also be comfortable and convenient for the passengers,” said Deka.

It is a matter of pride that Vande Bharat Express is a completely domestically manufacture- symbolizes the spirit of "Make in India" and "Atmanirbhar Bharat". Hence, India is not only adopting modern technology but also developing and promoting local manufacturing it country. It is a great example of technological advancement and India's modern railway system, added Deka.

The Governor said that another golden chapter is being added to the history of our state. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, Vande Bharat train is being launched, which will write a new chapter of modernity and speed in the rail services of the country. This is not merely the launch of a train, but a powerful demonstration of our country's progress and self-reliance.

Governor Shri Deka said that these trains will also make unprecedented contribution in the field of tourism, trade, medicine and education and boost local economy. New employment opportunities will be created in the areas related to railways, which will benefit the youth and will also give a new direction to the economic and socio-cultural exchange between Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh.

In the program, Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development Shri Tokhan Sahu said that this train will act as a bridge between Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh. This train will reduce travelling time from 12 to eight hours. An amount of more than Rs 20 thousand crore has been approved for the development of railways in Chhattisgarh.

Raipur MP Shri Brijmohan Agrawal said that Vande Bharat Express train is a significant gift for the people of Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Odisha. He said that the railways in Chhattisgarh are developing rapidly.

Deka boarded the Vande Bharat train, interacted with the passengers, and extended his congratulations and best wishes to them.
