Raipur : The Maha Kumbh 2025 is being held in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. I urge the people of Chhattisgarh to participate in this sacred event. You need not worry about accommodation or meals—our government has established the Chhattisgarh Pavilion over 4.5 acres in Sector 6 of the Kumbh Mela area, providing free lodging and food for all devotees."

With these words, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai had earlier invited the people of Chhattisgarh to experience the spiritual grandeur of Maha Kumbh 2025. Understanding the aspirations of his people, CM Sai collaborated with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath to secure a dedicated space for Chhattisgarh devotees, ensuring they could participate in the world’s largest spiritual congregation without any worries.

As a result, for 45 days, the Chhattisgarh Pavilion served as a home for over 50,000 devotees, enabling them to take a holy dip in the Sangam and immerse themselves in the Kumbh’s spiritual energy. As the Maha Kumbh 2025 came to a grand conclusion, it left behind unforgettable memories for Chhattisgarh’s devotees, a legacy made possible by CM Vishnu Deo Sai’s visionary leadership.

The Chhattisgarh Pavilion in Sector 6 of the Kumbh Mela wasn’t just a welcoming abode for devotees from the state—it became a major attraction for pilgrims and tourists from across India and the world. The exhibitions and cultural displays drew large crowds daily, offering visitors a glimpse into Chhattisgarh’s rich heritage, traditions, and spirituality.

Unlike other state pavilions that closed by 8 PM, the Chhattisgarh Pavilion remained lively until 10 PM, hosting vibrant cultural performances that enthralled audiences from all over India. Chhattisgarh’s folk artists captivated the Maha Kumbh with their performances, drawing admiration beyond linguistic and cultural boundaries.

The entrance to the pavilion was adorned with the iconic ‘Gaur Mukut’ of Bastar, an architectural masterpiece that instantly attracted visitors. Inside, the statue of Chhattisgarh Mahtari (Mother Chhattisgarh) stood as a symbol of maternal warmth and cultural pride. Devotees bowed in reverence before the images of the four revered deities of the state—Maa Mahamaya, Maa Danteshwari, Maa Bamleshwari, and Maa Chandrahasini.

To enhance visitor engagement, advanced technology was seamlessly integrated into the exhibition. A 360-degree immersive dome, offering a breathtaking virtual tour of Chhattisgarh, saw long queues of eager visitors. Virtual Reality (VR) experiences, allowed attendees to explore Chhattisgarh in an interactive manner.

The exhibition also showcased Chhattisgarh’s rural lifestyle, folk art, jewelry, cuisine, dance, and wildlife, making it a major talking point in both regional and national media.

In the presence of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the Good Governance and Convergence Department signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Center for Effective Governance of Indian States (CEGIS) and Transforming Rural India (TRI). This partnership will strengthen administrative efficiency, effective monitoring and implementation of schemes.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that ensuring correct and effective use of resources is our priority. For this purpose, we have established the 'Good Governance and Convergence Department' in the state. This 58th department will not only simplify the administrative processes but will also help in the effective implementation of government schemes. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the MoU signed today will bring revolutionary changes in administrative transparency, financial discipline and policy making.

E-governance and digital transformation will get a boost

Chief Minister Shri Sai attended the annual social conference of Kharia Samaj

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, while addressing the annual conference of Kharia Scheduled Tribe Upliftment Committee, said that education is the strongest basis for the progress of any society. He called upon all the enlightened people and youth of the society to give priority to education and give right guidance to the next generation.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said in his address that the real progress of the tribal society will happen when education, economic empowerment and social unity are promoted equally. He said that the state government is committed to the upliftment of every section of the society and new heights of development will be seen in the coming years. He said that education and unity pave the way for the prosperity of the society, state and country. Discussing the historical journey of the Kharia society, he recalled the historic decision to include the society in the Scheduled Tribe category in 2011 and appreciated the efforts of the then Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh for this.

At the beginning of the program, floral tributes were paid to the photograph of Mata Saraswati and freedom fighter Shaheed Telanga Kharia. On this occasion, MLA and Vice President of Sarguja Area Development Authority Smt. Gomti Sai, former MLA Shri Bharat Sai, and prominent officials of the society were present.

The government gave new dimensions to development in 13 months

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the state government has implemented the guarantees of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on the ground in just 13 months. He told that in the very first cabinet meeting after the formation of the government, it was decided to benefit 18 lakh families under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He said that giving priority to the interests of farmers, the rate of paddy purchase has been fixed at ₹ 3,100 per quintal, due to which farmers have got the benefit of selling paddy at the rate of 21 quintals per acre in the last two Kharif seasons. This year a new record has been set by purchasing more than 149 lakh metric tonnes of paddy in the state.

Government's concrete efforts for the upliftment of Vanvasi Samaj

Giving information about the steps taken for the Vanvasi Samaj, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the tendu leaf collection rate has been increased from ₹4,000 to ₹5,500 per standard sack, which is directly benefiting lakhs of collectors. Apart from this, financial assistance of ₹1,000 per month is being given under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana to empower 70 lakh mothers and sisters economically.

For landless agricultural laborers, assistance of ₹10,000 is being given every year under the Deendayal Upadhyaya Bhumiheen Krishi Mazdoor Kalyan Yojana, which is directly benefiting the most needy section of the society. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that schemes like PM Janman Yojana and Dharti Aaba Janjati Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan are being run for the education and overall development of the tribal society.

He informed that to provide more opportunities to the tribal youth preparing for UPSC, the number of seats in the Tribal Youth Hostel in Dwarka, Delhi has been increased from 50 to 185. Apart from this, 341 schools in the state are being included under the PM Shri scheme to provide high quality education to the children, so that they can avail the same facilities as private schools.

Tribal society will have to move forward in an organised manner: MLA Smt. Gomti Sai

MLA Smt. Gomti Sai said that the society which emphasises on education, economic development and social unity, only that progresses. She called upon the people of the tribal society to move forward unitedly, so that the overall development of every section is possible. All the people present in the meeting resolved to work collectively for the education, employment and social upliftment of the tribal society. On this occasion, a large number of dignitaries of the society including State President of Kharia Samaj Mr. Madan Nayak, District Patron Mr. Bodh Sai Manjhi, District General Secretary Mr. Kripal Manjhi, District Vice President Mr. Ramsagar Soreng and Mr. Bal Kumar Pradhan were present.

Shivrinarayan Mela: CM Appeals to Devotees for Participation in the Festival of Faith

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of Chhattisgarh on the occasion of Rajim Kumbh Kalp and Shivrinarayan Mela. He stated that the Rajim Kumbh Kalp, beginning on 12 February at the confluence of the Mahanadi, Pairi, and Sondur rivers, is not only a symbol of Chhattisgarh’s spiritual consciousness but also a vibrant confluence of its rich culture and traditions.

CM Shri Sai highlighted that Rajim, popularly known as ‘Prayag of Chhattisgarh,’ has been a center of faith for devotees and the saint community for centuries. The state government has restored the ‘Rajim Maghi Punni Mela’ to its original grandeur, renaming it as ‘Rajim Kumbh Kalp.’ This is not just a religious event but a significant effort towards preserving and enhancing Chhattisgarh’s glorious cultural and spiritual heritage.

He further emphasized that Chhattisgarh’s Prayag is fully prepared to welcome devotees to Rajim Kumbh Kalp. The festival will feature gatherings of saints, religious discourses, vibrant displays of folk culture, and a unique spiritual ambiance. A large number of devotees from Chhattisgarh and neighboring states will participate in the event to seek spiritual blessings.

Chief Minister Shri Sai also highlighted the Shivrinarayan Mela, organized on the auspicious occasion of Magh Purnima at the confluence of the Mahanadi, Shivnath, and Jonk rivers. He described it as a symbol of faith and devotion.

12th Installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana Released: ₹650.32 Crore transferred to 69.53 Lakh Women Beneficiaries

Raipur : The Chhattisgarh government has disbursed the 12th installment of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, transferring 650.32 crore directly into the bank accounts of 69,53,994 women beneficiaries across the state. This initiative aims to provide financial assistance to women, ensuring economic security and empowerment.

According to the Women and Child Development Department, the financial aid has been distributed across various districts. Beneficiaries of Raipur district received the highest allocation, with ₹51.19 crore transferred to 5,31,558 women. Beneficiaries of Bilaspur district received 39.54 crore, benefiting 4,22,741 women, while Durg district saw 38.33 crore reaching 4,02,211 beneficiaries.

In Balodabazar district, 3,27,476 beneficiaries received ₹30.97 crore, while 3,22,519 women in Mahasamund district were provided 30.11 crore. Similarly, beneficiaries of Korba district received 27.34 crore, benefitting 2,93,353 women, while 2,88,420 beneficiaries in Janjgir-Champa district were transferred 26.91 crore. Rajnandgaon district saw 24.22 crore reaching 2,56,724 beneficiaries, whereas 2,53,149 women in Kabirdham district received 23.53 crore. Beneficiaries of Balod district were allocated 23.10 crore, supporting 2,50,768 women.

In tribal and remote regions, the funds reached thousands of women. Beneficiaries of Bastar district received 18 crore, while Dantewada district saw 5.16 crore transferred to 54,579 women. Similarly, Bijapur district beneficiaries received 3.67 crore, Narayanpur district beneficiaries were transferred 2.54 crore, and Sukma district beneficiaries received 4.91 crore.

With this latest disbursement, the Mahtari Vandan Yojana continues to serve as a crucial initiative for women’s economic empowerment and social security in Chhattisgarh.

Raipur : The organizing committee of the Legend 90 Cricket League met Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai at his residence today and extended an invitation to him for the tournament. The Legend 90 Cricket League is set to take place from February 6 to February 18, 2025, at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium, Naya Raipur.

On this occasion, the Chief Executive Officer of Legend 90, Shri Tarunesh Singh Parihar, presented a special jersey bearing the number 21 of the Chhattisgarh Warriors team to the Chief Minister.
