The group members cultivate various vegetables, including brinjal and cabbage, and sell them in local markets and neighboring villages. The vegetable production is carried out by a dedicated team of 10 members, who collectively manage the entire process from cultivation to sales. Thanks to their local connections, the group members find it convenient to negotiate with buyers and sellers.

The women self-help group in collaboration with the Sarona Gram Panchayat, is actively engaged in various economic activities and implementing proper livestock arrangements under the 'Narva, Garwa, Ghurwa Badi Yojana' at the gram panchayat level. A considerable number of vermicompost tanks have been constructed in Sarona Gauthan, where vermicompost is being produced from cow dung, and various income generating activities including vegetable cultivation and goat rearing are being carried out.

Preparations are underway to grow a diverse range of vegetables, including chilli, okra, cluster bean, tomato, bottle gourd, cucumber, bitter gourd, pumpkin, tomato, cucumber along with various types of green vegetables. The members of the group have been provided with information about the Bihan Yojana and other livelihood development schemes. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has said that the biggest strength of the people of the country is our constitution given by Babasaheb Ambedkar. Our constitution makes us empowered. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel expressed views to this effect while addressing the public birth anniversary function organised on the occasion of the 132nd birth anniversary of Constitution maker, Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Ambedkar in the state capital today. Earlier, the Chief Minister paid tribute to Baba Saheb Ambedkar by garlanding his life-size statue at Ambedkar Chowk.

The Chief Minister said that on one hand the country was fighting for freedom, while on the other hand Babasaheb Ambedkar was organizing and fighting for the downtrodden society to get rights. Babasaheb inspired the people of the backward classes of the society to struggle by being educated and organised. Many great men of the country including Babasaheb realised this evil of the Indian society and fought against it. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that legends like Baba Saheb are born once in centuries, he gave us the mantra to 'Sikshit bano, sangathit raho aur sangarsh karo'. His thoughts inspire us to struggle and move forward. He imbibed Lord Buddha's message of wisdom, compassion and friendship. Today the society needs it the most. The Chief Minister said that our government has simplified the caste certificate. Chhattisgarh is the first state in the country where if the parents have a caste certificate, then the newborn child is given its caste certificate. If someone does not have a record of 50 years, then arrangements have been made to make caste certificate after the resolution is passed by the Gram Sabha or the General Assembly in urban areas. On the demand of the society for land in Naya Raipur, the Chief Minister said that the land is being allotted to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes on giving 10 percent of the cost of the land and 15 percent to other classes. He said that if the society wants to take government land, then mark the land, the land will be allotted as per the prescribed procedure. He said that Guru Ghasidas Museum, Shaheed Veer Narayan Memorial and world class school are being built in Nava Raipur. The Chief Minister released the book titled Tathagat Sandesh Patrika and Constitution of India in the programme.

At the Amcho Bastar stall, Smt. Gandhi spoke to the craftsmen who were working on moulding the utensils made of clay and brass. She appreciated the achievements of the state government in terms of trust, development, and security in Bastar at the Manwa Nawa Nar stall.

Smt. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra spoke with the women jawans of the Bastar Fighters and clicked photos with them.

She also took a glimpse of the exhibition that showcased remarkable works being undertaken by women's groups in the districts of Bastar division and innovative schemes being implemented here. Here, the Bastar district had set up a photo exhibition showcasing the trips of the Nehru and Gandhi families to the Bastar region through pictures.

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel while addressing the people of Bastar said that the sound of bullets is now replaced with the delightful songs sung by the youth of Bastar. He was addressing in the program "Bharose Ka Sammelan" held at Jagdalpur, headquarters of Bastar division. Earlier people were scared of visiting Bastar but employment and innovation are now the new identities of Bastar. The special guest of the program Mrs. Priyanka Gandhi said that the culture of Bastar and the innovation happening in Chhattisgarh have an echo in the whole world. Nehru ji and Indira ji had special respect for the people of Bastar. She praised the Chhattisgarh government for the MSP model of minor forest produce and the healthcare model.

In 'Bharose Ka Sammelan', Chief Minister Mr. Baghel has launched the 'Mukhyamantri Adivasi Parab Samman Nidhi Yojana' with the aim of preserving the culture and tradition of celebrating festivals of tribals in the special presence of Mrs. Priyanka Gandhi. In this scheme, an amount of Rs 10,000 will be given annually in two installments to the Gram Panchayat of the scheduled areas. On this occasion, he distributed an amount of Rs.5000 each to 1840 gram panchayats as the first installment.

While addressing people, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that the tribals were devoid of their land. Lohandiguda was the first place in the entire country where tribal's lands were returned to them. Bastar is walking on the path of development. People are taking advantage of the state government schemes. "Mrs. Indira Gandhi had come here and had given pattas to the tribals. Rahul Gandhi had given land pattas back to the tribals. The youth of Bastar are getting employment.", he added.

He said, "DENNEX of Dantewada is making clothes and are exporting to the country and abroad. Our sisters are working and empowering themselves. Our government gave forest rights pattas to lakhs of families. This conference is dedicated to the trust of tribals, farmers, laborers, mothers, children, Bastar, and Chhattisgarh. Maa Danteshwari, Dussehra of Bastar, and the culture of the tribals are the identity of Bastar, working towards preserving the culture and traditions of Bastar, we are establishing Devgudis and Ghotuls. Our schemes have brought prosperity to farmers, small forest produces vendors, and tendu patta collectors of forest areas".

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel further said that he has announced holidays on public festivals. The state government is making every effort to provide employment to the maximum number of people and participate in the development of the people. "We are not giving shoes, slippers, and mobiles but putting money directly in your pocket so that you can buy whatever you want. We have put Rs 1.5 lakh crore in the pockets of the people. We are giving Rs 7000 per year to Baiga, Pujari, Gunia, and the landless. We are working for the overall development of people along with empowering the people. We have waived farmers' loans, and fulfilled the promise of paying Rs 2500 for paddy along with input subsidy and support price. Under the Rajiv Kisan Nyay Yojana, we are providing Rs.9000 per acre to the farmers.", he added.

Addressing the people, Mrs. Priyanka Gandhi said that she is visiting Bastar for the first time, people are here because they have faith in her family. She is aware of their stories, their culture, and their struggle since childhood. Her family members know their culture, struggles, and challenges. She praised the schemes being run by the Chhattisgarh government in the interest of the people and said that every class in Chhattisgarh is happy. The present state government led by CM Mr.Bhupesh Bahgel has given strength to every hand.

Mrs. Gandhi said, "The most important thing in life is trust. When I came here a woman kindly offered me a serving of homemade ice cream, but she insisted that I may refrain from eating it due to my upcoming speech on stage as it can affect my throat. Her thoughtful warning highlighted the warmth and consideration that the people of Bastar exude". She further said "A place is identified by three things which are 'respect for culture', 'respect for people' and 'respect of people by the government'. The Chief Minister told that once upon a time people were afraid to come here. Today this Bastar has become a brand. The government is supporting to increase the income of people. My grandmother Indira Gandhi had respect for all of you for respecting nature. Here the rate of unemployment is very low and the MSP for forest produce is the highest. The healthcare model here is an example for the country.".

On this occasion, Mr. Kawasi Lakhma welcomed Smt. Priyanka Gandhi on behalf of the citizens of the Bastar region. He said that the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel is the leading Chief Minister of the country. MP Bastar Mr. Deepak Baij welcomed Mrs. Priyanka Gandhi on her first arrival in Bastar, the holy land of Maa Danteshwari, and said that the Gandhi-Nehru family has a deep connection with the land of Bastar. Similarly, he announced to named the Agricultural College and Research Center situated in Keralapal after the founder of Ghotul Dev 'Lingo Mudiyal Agricultural College and Research Center, Keralapal Narayanpur', Government Naveen College situated in Katekalyan to be named 'Hidma Manjhi Government College, Katekalyan' and Government Naveen College of Bhairamgarh as 'Dhurvarao Madiya Government College Bhairamgarh'.

This award will be given on behalf of 'Amrendra Foundation' an organization playing a significant role in the field of social service, at a grand function to be organized in June at Constitution Club of India in the national capital. Presently, the entries are being invited.

This information was given by the co-founder of foundation and senior journalist Navesh Kumar here today. He informed that a committee of experts has been formed for the selection, which includes social workers, former judges, senior journalists and educationists.

He was awarded the Indo Global Excellence Award 2023 by the US organization Global Human Rights Council for his outstanding contribution to social service.

Commonwealth University also awarded him an honorary doctorate for commercial success. The event was organized by the Commonwealth University at a five-star hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Former Education Minister of Malaysia, renowned educationist, entrepreneur Mr. Dr. Majli Malik was present as the chief guest on the occasion. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Friday and discussed about several pending issues including speedy census, GST compensation and coal royalty.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister mentioned the Holi festival celebration organized at CM House. The Prime Minister said that we saw you singing Fag on Holi.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that he has urged the Prime Minister to conduct the census as soon as possible. He said that there is a problem in the selection of beneficiaries due to lack of census after 2011. Many eligible beneficiaries are being deprived of the benefits of the schemes. A letter was also written to the Prime Minister earlier in this regard.

During the meeting, CM Baghel presented a symbol of the Chhattisgarh state animal, ‘The Indian Wild Buffalo’ to the Prime Minister.

CM also discussed the action plan for the G-20 group meeting to be held in Chhattisgarh with the PM.

CM Bhupesh Baghel informed that the fourth permanent finance working group meeting of G-20 is going to be held in Chhattisgarh in September. A discussion was held with PM Modi regarding its preparation. He told that guidance has also been received from the Prime Minister regarding the meeting.

CM Baghel said, "I have assured the Prime Minister of providing world-class arrangements for the guests of G-20."

According to CM Bhupesh Baghel, by hosting G-20, Chhattisgarh will get an opportunity to showcase the art and culture of the state in front of dignitaries across the world.

While appreciating the ongoing Millet Mission, Chief Minister also informed PM about starting of Millet Cafe in Raipur and other cities of Chhattisgarh following the suggestion given by him in the last meeting.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister also discussed with the Prime Minister the provisions of the budget presented in Chhattisgarh recently, in which light metro service from Nava Raipur to Durg, construction of Aerocity in Raipur was discussed with the Prime Minister.

CM also discussed various pending demands including, GST compensation and coal royalty.

CM Baghel said that the recovery of additional levy from the coal blocks canceled by the Supreme Court in 2014 has been received by the Central Government. The Central Government has been requested several times to transfer the amount of Rs. 4170 crores recovered from the coal blocks of Chhattisgarh state to the state, but the amount is yet to be received. He requested the Prime Minister to transfer the amount to the state at the earliest.

During the meeting, Mr Baghel told PM Modi that like other producing states, Chhattisgarh is also facing shortfall in commercial tax revenue after GST implementation.

Rs 1375 crore is yet to be payable to the Chhattisgarh from the date of implementation till June 30, 2022. This amount should be given to the state soon, CM said.

Chief Minister Mr Bhupesh Baghel reached the Vidhan Sabha premise with a briefcase. The briefcase had a portrait of Chhattisgarh Mahtari and Kamdhenu on it, made from cow dung paint made in Gauthan. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Mr Bhupesh Baghel presented a budget of more than Rs one lakh 120 thousand crores for the year 2023-24 for the state.

While presenting the budget in the assembly, Chief Minister mentioned the Chhattisgarh model. He said that this budget is a strong step towards fulfilling the objectives included in the Chhattisgarh model based on agriculture and rural economy.

Four new medical colleges will be opened in the state

Four medical colleges have been announced to promote health facilities in the state. New medical colleges will be established in Manendragarh, Gidam, Janjgir Champa and Kabirdham districts. A provision of Rs 200 crore has been made for this in the budget.

101 New Swami Atmanand English medium schools

Swami Atmanand English Medium School Scheme started in the year 2020-21 with the aim of providing excellent education in English to the students of government schools. At present, 02 lakh 38 thousand 961 students are studying in 247 English medium and 32 Hindi medium Swami Atmanand schools. A proposal has been made to open 101 new Swami Atmanand English medium schools with a provision of Rs 08 hundred 70 crores for the scheme.

Chhattisgarh Budget Highlights:

Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhoomiheen Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana will be extended to the rural areas as well as the Nagar Panchayat areas this year.

A new scheme will be started to give unemployment allowance to the educated unemployed. 12th pass youth between the age group of 18 to 35 years registered in employment and registration Center, whose family's annual income is less than Rs 2, 50,000 will get Rs 2500 per month for a maximum period of 02 years. For this provision, 250 crores have been made.

The amount of monthly pension given under the Social Security Pension Scheme to elderly, disabled, and widow and abandoned women has been increased to Rs 500 from Rs 350 per month.

For the nutrition and vaccination of women and children, the amount of monthly honorarium given to Anganbadi workers working in 46,666 Anganwadi centers across the state has been increased to Rs 10,000 from Rs 6,500 every month. Honorarium of Anganbadi assistants has been increased from Rs 3,500 to Rs 5,000.

The honorarium of mini Anganbadi workers has been increased to Rs 7, 500 from Rs 4, 500 every month.

Additional Rs. 2,200 will be given per month to Mitanin Sisters, who cooperate in the implementation of every major-minor scheme of the health department, promote institutional delivery and provide healthcare to pregnant women.

Village Kotwars are given honorariums at different rates according to the size of the service land. The amount of pre-existing honorarium has been increased from Rs.2250 to Rs.3000, from Rs. 33075 to Rs.40500, from Rs.4500 to Rs.5500, and from Rs.4050 to Rs. 6000 per month. The amount of the monthly honorarium being given to 'Patel' of a village will be increased from Rs 02 thousand to Rs 03 thousand. The government has made a provision to give Rs. 3,000 to Gram Patels.

Under the mid-day meal programme, the honorarium being given to cooks who prepare mid-day meals in schools has been increased from Rs One thousand 5 hundred to Rs One thousand 08 hundred per month. The honorarium of sanitation workers working in schools will also be increased from Rs 2500 to Rs 2800 per month.

The honorarium of Home Guard jawans who assist in maintaining law and order during state festivals, calamities and various administrative works has been increased from a minimum of Rs 6 thousand 300 to a maximum of Rs 6 thousand 420 per month.

An honorarium of Rs.750 and Rs.500 will be given to the members of the steering committee of self-supporting Gauthans. Only non-official members will be eligible for this honorarium.

The amount of assistance given under ‘Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah Yojana’ will be increased from 25 thousand to 50 thousand. A provision of Rs 38 crores has been made in the budget for this.

Priority will be given to the works of infrastructure development for the development of modern and high-quality basic facilities in the urban areas of the state. A provision of Rs 1 thousand crore has been made for various urban infrastructure construction works in urban areas.

On the lines of Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park, industrial parks will be established in urban areas as well. A provision of Rs 50 crores has been made for encouraging the establishment of small-scale and cottage industries in industrial parks.

Proposal to start light metro service from Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar to Durg to provide easy, cheap and modern means of transportation to the people of the state.

Swami Atmanand English Medium School Scheme was started in the year 2020-21 to provide an excellent education in English medium to the students in government schools. At present, 02 lakh 38 thousand 961 students are studying in 247 English medium and 32 Hindi medium Swami Atmanand schools. A proposal has been made to open 101 new Swami Atmanand English medium schools with a provision of Rs 08 hundred 70 crores for the scheme.

A provision of Rs 200 crore has been made to establish new medical colleges in Manendragarh, Geedam, Janjgir Champa and Kabirdham districts. A new thermal power station will be set up in Korba West. For this, a provision of 25 crores has been made in the budget.
