Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma performs customary rituals and offers prayers at Narmada Maiyya and Jaleshwar Mahadev Temples in Amarkantak

Raipur : Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma visited Narmada Maiyya Temple and Jaleshwar Mahadev Temple in Amarkantak today morning. He performed customary rituals in both the temples, offered prayers and sought blessings from the deities. Shri Sharma prayed to Ma Narmada and Lord Shiva for the peace, prosperity, and progress of the people of the state.

It is noteworthy that Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma had inspected the arrangements made for the 'Kanwariyas' at Mrityunjay Ashram in Amarkantak yesterday. On the occasion, Shri Sharma dined with the 'Kanwariya' devotees and joined them in this significant pilgrimage of the holy month of Saavan. Special arrangements have been made under his guidance to ensure a smooth and safe 150-kilometer long 'Kanwar Yatra' from Amarkantak to Bhoramdeo Temple.

He has directed the officials concerned to ensure that the devotees do not face any inconvenience during the 'Yatra'. Following his directives, medical personnel have been stationed at more than 15 locations. Additionally, special security measures have been implemented, including four police patrolling teams and the deployment of Sub-Divisional Police Officers. Detailed instructions have been issued to the Superintendents of Police to ensure the safety of the Kanwariyas.

Special arrangements for accommodation have been made in 20 different locations. At the Mrityunjay Ashram in Amarkantak, free meals and overnight stay facility has been arranged for the devotees. The menu includes dal-rice, vegetables, and sweets such as kheer, puri, and halwa. The Bolbam Coordination Committee and local authorities are actively involved in overseeing these arrangements.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma emphasized that the convenience and safety of the Kanwariyas are of utmost importance. He assured that all the necessary arrangements have been made to ensure that devotees can complete their pilgrimage without any problem.

Housing Board Commissioner Shri Kundan Kumar stated that Minister Shri Choudhary instructed the Board to address the issue of delayed payments to eligible beneficiaries. The department responded quickly, and the Chhattisgarh Housing Board successfully refunded the payments. Raipur : Under the competent leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, Chhattisgarh Government is taking the measures to increase the number of security camps in Bastar Division in order to provide additional security against Maoist terror. Simultaneously, innovative schemes like "Niyad Nellanar" Scheme are being implemented to make the benefits of central and state government welfare programs accessible in villages within a 5-kilometer radius of these camps. The scheme has shown promising results, and strengthened the trust and confidence of people in the government and administration.

The Niyad Nellanar Scheme is creating employment opportunities for the youth by enhancing their employability through skill development training in the trade of their choice. The state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, is making concerted efforts to equip the youth with valuable skills along with quality education.
In Dantewada district, under the ambitious "Niyad Nellanar Scheme," 21 women from village Gamawada, under Basanpur camp, are receiving training in handloom. These women are being provided the skill development training in handloom so as to develop new livelihood resources for them. Additionally, 12 students are receiving training in trades such as Associate, Desktop Assistant, Hand Embroidery, and Two-Wheeler Service Assistant at the Livelihood College under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana. It is noteworthy that various training sessions are being conducted under the Niyad Nellanar Scheme and the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana to skill the unemployed youth of the district. This initiative provides an opportunity for unemployed youth to receive training in any trade of their choice and become self-reliant.
Pahadgaon and Kumeli Waterfall to receive major upgrades for tourism growth

Raipur : Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the government is making consistent efforts to boost the tourism sector. In Surajpur district, efforts are underway to upgrade the Kumeli Waterfall area in the Ramanujnagar Janpad and the Pahadgaon region in the Surajpur Janpad.

Pahadgaon, situated near Ambikapur Road and Silfili in the Surajpur Janpad, features a picturesque lake formed by the construction of Khokhania Dam. This lake, nestled between the mountains, offers a tranquil and scenic environment. To boost tourism at this site, the administration is improving access roads and providing essential amenities. For the development of the area, measures include ensuring tourist safety, providing food and drinking water and toilet facilities, constructing pagoda huts, and implementing waste management. Besides, plans are underway to introduce boating facilities on the lake.

The district administration has also instructed officials to focus on the development of the Kumeli Waterfall area. Instructions for Kumeli Waterfall include implementing waste management, improving security with warning boards, ensuring drinking water availability, constructing pagoda huts, and repairing solar lights and toilets. Located approximately 30 kilometers from Surajpur, Kumeli Waterfall is accessible via Ketka Road and Rajapur Road. This 50-foot waterfall, situated in the midst of dense forest, offers a breathtaking view, particularly during the rainy season.

Raipur : A large number of people attended Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai's Jandarshan programme today, despite the drizzle, to have their concerns addressed. During the event, the Chief Minister launched the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' initiative in Chhattisgarh and distributed National Flags to attendees. He also symbolically distributed assistance amount to 12 beneficiaries, marking the start of a Rs 11.41 crore aid distribution to over 6,200 labour families under various Labour Department schemes. Chief Minister's Secretary Shri Rahul Bhagat and Shri P. Dayanand along with senior officials and a large number of residents were present on the occasion.
Beneficiaries of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, who visited the Chief Minister's residence during the Jandarshan programme, expressed their gratitude for the scheme, highlighting its impact on empowering women. They mentioned that this Rakshabandhan festival would be more joyous, allowing them to purchase variety of sweets for their brothers. Chief Minister also met Chayan Kumari from Mahasamund and Ranjita Khalko from Raipur, who recently won bronze medals in Mini Golf at the 37th National Games. They informed that they are going to participate in the International Woodball event in South Korea from August 20 to 25.

Addressing concerns from Gram Panchayat Parsulidih Sarpanch, the Chief Minister directed district administration officials to expedite the construction of a shed for preparing mid-day meals in the Parsulidih school building. Farmers from Dongaria in the Balodabazar district reported crop damage due to toxic water from a chemical plant. Chief Minister instructed officials to provide prompt relief to the affected farmers. During the Jandarshan programme, Chief Minister Shri Sai also presented motorized tricycles to 18-year-old Sana Parveen of Chaurasia Colony in Raipur city; Komal Lahre of Serikhedi village; and Thugiya Sahu of Kachana village in Dhamtari district.

Rishi Agrawal and Siddhika Goswami, who brought Rakhi for the Chief Minister from Bilaspur and Bemetara respectively, made requests for compassionate appointments. Balod resident’s compensation delay addressed by Chief Minister
Shri Bodhanlal, a resident of Balod, informed Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai that he has not yet received compensation for land acquired for the construction of the Anda road. In response, Chief Minister Shri Sai directed the Balod Collector to expedite the compensation process and ensure prompt payment to Shri Bodhanlal. He also instructed to provide support to other individuals who have been affected similarly by the land acquisition.
Chief Minister's intervention provides hope for father seeking help for son's treatment
Shri Roshan Sahu, a resident of Raman Mandir Ward in Fafadih, Raipur, explained that his 8-year-old son, Lakshya, suffers from bladder exstrophy. For his treatment, he will need to travel to Ahmedabad regularly, but his financial situation doesn't allows him to. Upon hearing his plight, the Chief Minister directed health department officials to ensure that proper arrangements are made for the child's medical care. The child's father stated "I was exhausted from seeking treatment for a long time and had lost hope. Meeting the Chief Minister has given me new hope."
Khapri village roads to get much-needed upgrades
At the Jandarshan programme, Smt. Janak Bai Sahu, Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Khapri in Balod district told Chief Minister that the road from Iraguda to Payala has become severely dilapidated and causes major commuting difficulties. She also highlighted other issues of the village. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai took note of her concerns and assured that the problems would be addressed promptly. He also assured to resolve other issues that were brought up.

This booklet is designed to inform citizens about the state government's public welfare schemes, policies, and achievements. The goal of distributing the booklet is to raise awareness among the citizens about these schemes, ensuring that more people can benefit from them.

A large number of people attended the Jandarshan to meet the Chief Minister, who praised the booklet describing it as 'highly beneficial'. He stated that it serves as a vital tool for connecting common citizens with the state government. Chief Minister highlighted the government's ongoing commitment to public welfare and its efforts to educate people about welfare schemes through such publications.
The 'Janman' booklet provides information on the state government's achievements over the past six months. Highlights include economic benefits for farmers through bonuses, the Shri Ramlala Darshan Yojana, paddy procurement at Rs 3100 per quintal, an increase in the tendupatta collection rate to Rs 5500, the Udyam Kranti Yojana for youth employment, improvements in infrastructure and connectivity, free ration for the poor, and development of an IT hub in Raipur.
The booklet also covers important decisions including the development of the State Capital Region, the reinstatement of the Rajim Kumbh Kalpa, the Shaheed Veer Narayan Swasthya Yojana, establishment of Chhattisgarh Institute of Technology like IITs, formation of an Economic Advisory Council to boost economic development, and the creation of an Industrial Corridor.

Raipur : Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma performed the housewarming ceremony for a newly constructed house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) for Shri Girjashankar in Sakri village, located within the Balodabazar development block, on the auspicious occasion of the Hareli festival. He also planted jackfruit and guava saplings in the house's courtyard.

Beneficiary Shri Girjashankar, a mason by profession, shared his past struggles with a Kutcha house and his dream of owning a pucca one. He stated "We always dreamed of owning a pucca house, but financial constraints prevented us from realizing this dream. However, in the year 2020-21, we were approved for a house under the PMAY-G scheme. Upon receiving the first installment, we began construction. We received a total of Rs 1.20 lakh in three installments. I also invested some of my own money to make the house a bit larger."
Shri Girjashankar also mentioned that his wife, Smt. Buddheshwari Verma, benefits from the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, receiving Rs 1,000 monthly. Besides, the family has benefited from the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
Minister Shri Verma also inaugurated a fish farming initiative undertaken by the Jai Maa Annapurna Self-Help Group at the village's Amrit Sarovar. Encouraging the women involved, he emphasized the profitability of fish farming. The women shared that they will be undertaking fish farming in this lake for the first time. Initially, the fisheries department has provided 65-70 Rohu, Katla, and Mrigal fish. The department will soon supply nearly 5,000 fish seeds (fingerlings) to support their venture.

Raipur : Food Minister Shri Dayaldas Baghel visited the Jan Samasya Nivaran Pakhwada camp organized by the Urban Administration Department in Nagar Panchayat Nawagarh of Bemetara district, on Monday. During his visit, he engaged with beneficiaries to discuss issues related to ration card distribution, the availability of food grains through fair price shops, and other concerns.

Shri Baghel stated that the camp aims to address problems faced by those who have not yet received their ration cards. He mentioned that applications for ration card renewal will be accepted until August 15. Renewals can be processed through the official Food Department website at https://fcs.cg.gov.in/ Beneficiaries may also visit their nearest fair price shop to complete their ration card renewal and e-KYC.

The Minister further explained that for e-KYC, biometric updates are required for all beneficiaries. Those with Bal Aadhar cards must first update their biometrics at an Aadhar Seva Kendra. Following this, e-KYC can be completed through the e-POS machines available at fair price shops. He assured that the e-KYC and ration card renewal services are free of charge and encouraged people to apply at the camp.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai will participate in the inauguration ceremony of various hostels and an ashram in Arang on August 3. According to the released tour schedule, the Chief Minister will depart from the Chief Minister's residence office by car at 12 noon on August 3 and arrive in Arang at 12:40 PM. At the event, the Chief Minister will inaugurate the Post-Matric Scheduled Caste Girls' Hostel in Arang.
He will also inaugurate the Pre-Matric Scheduled Caste Girls' Hostel in Arang and Mandir Hasaud as well as the Scheduled Caste Girls' Ashram in Arang and Kosrangi. The Chief Minister will return to the Chief Minister's residence in Raipur at 2:50 PM.
Empowering rural women through turmeric production in Dantewada district

Raipur : Five villages in the Kuakonda development block of Dantewada district have been chosen for a turmeric production, with women from Bihan groups leading the charge.

As part of the National Rural Livelihood Mission 'Bihan' local self-help groups are engaging in turmeric cultivation. The Horticulture Department has provided 20 quintals of turmeric seeds to 50 women from the villages of Renganar, Gadhmiri, Kuakonda, Halbaras, Mailawada, and Gogpal. Each woman has planted 40 kg of turmeric bulbs in her garden. If this year’s crop is successful, the turmeric will be purchased next year by Maa Danteshwari Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited Kuakonda. The plan includes processing the turmeric by the group and supplying it to retail and wholesale markets.

Turmeric, widely used in cooking and traditional ceremonies, plays an important role in Indian culture. This 5 to 6 feet tall ginger species yields turmeric in its root knots and is famous for its medicinal properties in Ayurveda. It holds a special place in Indian cuisine and is considered highly auspicious in cultural practices, including the 'Haldi' ritual in weddings.
The region's favorable environment for turmeric cultivation, combined with the efforts of the National Rural Livelihood Mission 'Bihan' aims to link this agricultural initiative to improved economic prosperity and livelihoods for women in these rural areas.
