Raipur : Due to the efforts of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, the process of promoting the inspectors of 1999 and 2000 batch of Inspector cadre working under the Police Department to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) has started. This decision is the result of the strong will, sensitive leadership and quick administrative initiative of Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma.

It is noteworthy that these officers of the Inspector cadre had been demanding DSP promotion for a long time. This process was stuck due to only 17 vacant posts in the department. In such a situation, a delegation of officers met Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma and presented their problem to him. Listening to the officers with sensitivity, the Deputy Chief Minister not only assured them of early promotion, but also issued necessary instructions with immediate effect to speed up the entire process.

The obstacle to promotion was mainly due to the limited number of vacant posts. In view of this, Shri Vijay Sharma decided to increase the number of DSP posts in the interest of the police department and a proposal was prepared for this and sent to the Finance Department. As soon as the approval was received from the Finance Department, the promotion process was started, which is nearing completion.

Under this decision, a total of 55 inspectors have now been promoted to the post of DSP. Apart from this, 1 officer from the Reserve Inspector cadre, 1 Inspector from Special Branch (SB), 1 Inspector from Arms Branch and 7 officers working on the post of Company Commander have been promoted to the post of Sahayak Senani. Thus, a total of 65 officers have been promoted to higher posts on the basis of their eligibility and seniority.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma said that this decision is not just an administrative process, but it is a symbol of respect for the dedication, discipline and years of service of those officers. He said that the good governance government of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai is committed to ensure timely promotion and transparent system in all departments, so that the morale of the employees remains high and the level of service keeps improving gradually.

This promotion is not only an achievement in the personal life of the concerned officers, but it will also strengthen the law and order of the state and the efficiency of the police administration. Mr. Sharma expressed hope that the promoted officers will discharge their new responsibilities with full loyalty, alertness and devotion.

Raipur: Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai attended the civic felicitation ceremony organized under the National Executive Council meeting of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad held in Krishi Mandapam Auditorium of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University in the capital Raipur. Addressing the program, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that youth power is national power. Our country has the highest number of youth in the world. The role of youth will be very important in making India a developed nation by 2047.

The Chief Minister said that Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad is the largest student organization in the world. It is a matter of great happiness that this three-day national council meeting is being organized on the land of Chhattisgarh. Life is incomplete without education. Education is the basic mantra of development. Today all the top institutions of education are established in Chhattisgarh. Today in our state, youth are studying in national institutions like IIT, AIIMS, Triple IT, National Law University. New education policy is implemented in Chhattisgarh. Under the new education policy, we are also connecting the youth with employment. In Chhattisgarh, an institution like Prayas is working to educate school children. A large number of children studying in Prayas are achieving success in competitive examinations.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Tribal Youth Hostel is established in New Delhi for those youth who want to prepare for civil services etc. examinations. We have increased the capacity of this Tribal Youth Hostel to 200 seats. We are building Nalanda campus across the state where children can study in a peaceful environment. We have taken the initiative here that students can also study medicine in Hindi language. In the state, primary level children are being educated in their mother tongue Gondi, Halbi etc.

The Chief Minister said that the new industrial policy of Chhattisgarh is being appreciated all over the country. Under the new industrial policy, we are not only bringing investment in the state but also providing employment to a large number of youth. Work on semiconductor chip manufacturing and AI data center has started in Chhattisgarh. A huge possibility of employment for youth will be created in these areas as well. Our government has handed over the investigation of corruption in PSC to the CBI. It is our top priority that the future of the youth is not messed with.

The Chief Minister said that during Sushasan Tihar, we are taking feedback from the public about the work done by the government in the last one and a half years. The third phase of Sushasan Tihar is going on, under which we are touring the entire state. The applications received in the first phase were resolved by our officers in the second phase. Now in the third phase, we are going to the public. In one and a half years, we have fulfilled most of the guarantees of Prime Minister Modi. We have fulfilled the promise of giving Pradhan Mantri Awas to the people. 70 lakh mothers and sisters are getting Mahtari Vandan amount.

During Sushasan Tihar, a woman in Narayanpur told me very happily that she has bought a sewing machine from the Mahtari Vandan amount. Through which she is earning 4 to 5 thousand. Similarly, a sister told that she is running a grocery shop with this amount and earning an income of two to three thousand rupees. Chhattisgarh is the first state in the country where the Good Governance and Convergence Department has been started. All the work of the government is being done with transparency. We are now moving towards digitization. Files are now online through e-files. We are closing all the avenues of corruption.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today participated in the Sushasan Camp organized in village Bhainsa of Raipur district. On this occasion, he started the campaign by flagging off 10 awareness chariots under the 'Vikasit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan' running from 29 May to 12 June across the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

In the camp, the Chief Minister handed over the keys of 110 houses built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to the beneficiaries, and said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has resolved that no poor family in the country should live in a kutcha house. To make this resolution a reality, our government has approved more than 18 lakh Pradhan Mantri Awas in Chhattisgarh. He also clarified that the remaining eligible families will be included under the 'Awas Plus Plus' scheme.

The Chief Minister announced various works worth about Rs 3 crore 50 lakh for the development of village Bhainsa and surrounding areas. In this, Rs 75 lakh for Primary Health Center in village Bhainsa, Rs 75 lakh for high school building construction, Rs 55 lakh for water tank and pipeline expansion, Rs 50 lakh for higher secondary school construction, Rs 20 lakh for compound and shed construction, Rs 42 lakh for pipeline expansion in village Amodi, Rs 24 lakh for construction of three additional rooms in Higher Secondary School. Apart from this, he also announced to open a new police post in Bhainsa.

Chief Minister Shri Sai also took feedback of schemes from various beneficiaries during the Samadhan camp. Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister for the 'Mahatari Vandan Yojana', Mrs. Chandan said that she uses the amount of this scheme for the education and essential needs of her children.

Under the shade of a sprawling banyan tree, Chief Minister Shri Sai sat on a traditional khaat and held a direct dialogue with the villagers. He inquired about the implementation of various government schemes including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Nal Jal Yojana, paddy procurement, and children's education.

He stated that it has been only 1.5 years since his government assumed office, during which time several guarantees made by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi have already been fulfilled. These include approval of 18 lakh housing units in the first cabinet meeting, payment of pending bonuses to farmers, and procurement of paddy at Rs 3100 per quintal.

Chief Minister explained that earlier phases of the Sushasan Tihar were focused on collecting public grievances and resolving them through administrative machinery. “Now I have personally come among you with government officials so you can directly voice your concerns to me,” he said.

Responding to local demands, the Chief Minister made several important announcements for Sahaspur village including construction of a new building for the village’s higher secondary school, beautification of the historic Shiva and Hanuman temples built during the 13th–14th century by the Phani Nagvanshi dynasty, development of the temple site into a tourism spot, a commitment to attend the Mahashivratri fair in the village himself, and establishment of a 33 KV power substation to improve electricity supply.

Raipur : As part of the ongoing Sushasan Tihar aimed at promoting transparent and responsive governance, the Chhattisgarh Renewable Energy Development Agency (CREDA) has brought significant improvements to rural life in Dhamtari district by swiftly addressing citizens' grievances. This initiative, led by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, focuses on prompt resolution of public issues and restoration of essential infrastructure.

As a part of this campaign, multiple applications related to the repair of solar high-mast lights and solar pumps were received and resolved efficiently. Among them, Shri Kamleshwar Uike from Dangimacha village submitted a request to repair a faulty gate valve in the Jal Jeevan Mission’s solar dual pump system. CREDA’s field team promptly inspected and repaired the unit, restoring access to clean drinking water for the villagers.

Similarly, Shri Panchuram from Kishanpuri village had requested repairs to a malfunctioning solar high-mast light. CREDA officials replaced damaged batteries and lighting components, ensuring improved lighting conditions during nighttime for the community.

Raipur : Four promising players of Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh hoisted the flag of Chhattisgarh and the country by performing well in the International Bodybuilding and Weightlifting Competition held in Pokhara city of Nepal. More than 300 players from seven countries including India, Nepal, Pakistan, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Myanmar participated in this competition organized by the International United Indian Sports Association. From India, Suraj Rajput, Deepali Soni, Abhishek Tiwari and Anurag Jangde from Kawardha, Chhattisgarh participated in this prestigious competition and won gold medals.

It is known that in the bodybuilding competition, Suraj Rajput of Kabirdham won the title of International Mr. Overall, leaving behind the participants from seven countries. Suraj has also previously won medals in Mr. Chhattisgarh, Senior National Bodybuilding Championship and Powerlifting. Currently, he is playing the role of coach in "Bharat Health Club" of Kawardha and is giving free training to about 50 youth. Deepali Soni, who became the first female gold medalist weightlifter of the district, won in the 76 kg category. She has also performed brilliantly in national and state level competitions before this. Abhishek Tiwari of the sub-junior category won the gold medal in the men's 67 kg category. Earlier, he has also won medals in the school national games. At the same time, 14-year-old Anurag Jangde, who won the gold medal in sub-junior weightlifting in the 109 kg category, has also topped many district and school level competitions before.

It is worth noting that the credit for training these four players also goes to Suraj Rajput, who has been preparing the youth of the district for international level by giving free training with dedication for years. Bodybuilder Suraj Rajput

Suraj Rajput's name needs no introduction in the world of bodybuilding. In the international competition of Nepal, he won the title of International Mr. Overall by defeating the stalwarts of seven countries. Suraj Rajput said that this victory is not only mine, but of the whole Chhattisgarh. It is not easy to reach the international stage from a small town, but if there is passion in the mind and the guidance is right, then no destination is far. Suraj is giving free training to about 50 players as a coach in 'Bharat Health Club'. He has also won medals in Mr. Chhattisgarh, Senior National and Powerlifting competitions.

Weightlifter Deepali Soni

Deepali Soni of Kabirdham district, who won the gold medal in the 76 kg category, has become the first female weightlifter of Kabirdham. Who created history by winning medals at the international level. Sharing her experience, Deepali Soni says that the trip to Nepal was very inspiring for me. Going abroad for the first time and playing and waving the tricolor was a dream, which has been fulfilled. I am happy that now other daughters of the district will also take inspiration to move forward in sports like weightlifting. Deepali has already won medals in national and state level competitions.

Weightlifter Abhishek Tiwari

Abhishek Tiwari set a great example of his hard work by winning the gold medal in the 67 kg sub-junior weightlifting category. Abhishek Tiwari says that when the medal came around my neck, I remembered the hard work of my parents, Guruji and the entire district. Living in Nepal, the players there and the environment, everything was new, but we had resolved to keep the Indian flag high.

Anurag Jangde, who won gold in the 109 kg sub-junior weightlifting category at the age of just 14, caught everyone's attention. Balodabazar : To make Sushasan Tihar reach the masses, the Balodabazar Bhatapara district administration is vigorously running a public awareness campaign in both rural and urban areas. This includes rally, bicycle rally, announcement, wall writing etc. but in the rural area, Sua dance is emerging as a powerful medium of public awareness.

On Wednesday, the women self-help groups of Bihan in the village panchayat Kusmi of Palari block of Baloda Bazar district brought Sushasan Tihar to the people through Suva song and dance. Traditional folk dances in Chhattisgarh include Panthi, Raut Nacha, Karma, Pandavani, Suva, Saila, Gendi etc. These dances are performed by various communities during festivals and celebrations and they reflect the rich cultural heritage of the region.

Under the first phase of Sushasan Tihar, applications will be received from the people at the application receipt site in rural and urban areas from 8 April to 11 April 2025. Under the guidance of Collector Deepak Soni and the leadership of CEO District Panchayat Ms. Divya Agarwal, the Self Help Groups (Bihan) formed in the district are successfully organizing wall writings, good governance slogans, rallies, door-to-door Dastak Abhiyan at the cluster organization level, village organization level, panchayat level and publicity is being done to make the general public aware. Chief Minister's sewing machine assistance scheme changed Yashoda's fate

Raipur : The benefits of beneficiary-oriented schemes run by the state's labour department are now visible on the ground. Yashoda, who lives in a modest rented house in Purani Basti, got a sewing machine from Chhattisgarh Bhawan and Other Nirman Karmachari Kalyan Mandal, which has improved her financial condition. Yashoda's life was turned upside down when her elder daughter passed away after a long illness. Her husband worked as an electrician and he was equally sad.

He saw his wife’s suffering and after days of collective grief, they decided it was time to chart a new path. Together, they realised their surviving daughter and son deserved more than the nostalgia of their shattered lives. In a moment of shared resolve, they decided to honour their late daughter’s legacy by securing their children’s future.

Fed up with her risky job of making papad, Yashoda decided to try other professions. When she learnt about the Mukhyamantri Silai Machine Sahayata Yojana under Chhattisgarh Bhawan Evam Anyu Nirman Karmakar Kalyan Mandal, she immediately applied. The scheme gave Yashoda access to resources and support to shift to better-paid home-based work. Yashoda now earns Rs 4000 per month, a little more than she could earn.

The income was much less than before. Life is still tough as we live in a two-room rented house with a rent of Rs 4000 per month, leaving very little savings. she said. But this is a new beginning and Yashoda hopes to grow her business as a tailor.

Yashoda’s story highlights how functional social protection systems can bridge the gap in coverage and meet the needs of vulnerable populations. However, the underlying principles of social protection should always be based on inclusivity and gender accountability, especially for the most marginalised.

This will be the first time when the beneficiary himself released the amount of the scheme

Raigarh : Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai released the amount of Mahtari Vandan Yojana in a program organized in Raigarh today. During this, a glimpse of Chief Minister Sai's good governance was seen. He requested Saraswati Yadav, a beneficiary of Mahtari Vandan Yojana, who came to meet him on the stage, to press the button and release the amount of the tenth installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana in the accounts of the women of the state.

On which Saraswati Yadav pressed the button and transferred an amount of Rs 652 crore as the 10th installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana to 70 lakh women of the state. This will be the first time when the beneficiary of a scheme has released the amount of the scheme.

Raipur : Nageshwari was once an ordinary housewife, but today she is Lakhpati Didi. Mrs. Nageshwari Verma, a resident of village Kathia, was an ordinary housewife 5 years ago. She was confined to the kitchen of the house, but today she is standing on her own feet and along with taking care of the household, she is earning 1.5 to 2 lakh rupees annually, that too from a business like poultry farming. Nageshwari's children are getting good education and she is also preparing to raise one thousand chickens on her own. Today Nageshwari is repeatedly thanking Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and saying that whatever I am today is because of them. Other women like me have also become self-reliant through this scheme.

Mrs. Verma tells that a few years ago she got a loan of about 1.5 lakh rupees with the help of Bihaan. After this she started poultry farming business. She got help for a chicken shed from MNREGA. Initially she raised chickens in small numbers, then gradually seeing the profit she reached 500 chickens today. She started selling these chickens to the big poultry farm owners nearby, now they themselves come and take them away.

Mrs. Verma tells that after getting good success in poultry farming business and earning good income in the last five years, she built a new house, bought a two-wheeler and now she is giving good education to her children, her son is doing BBA and she is also planning a good career for her daughter. Thus, along with Goddess Lakshmi, her house also has the blessings of Goddess Saraswati.

Tribal dance troupes from different states enthralled the audience with their spectacular performances

Raipur : The Inter-State Tribal Folk Dance Festival and Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas concluded on Friday after a two-day celebration of tribal culture and traditions in Raipur. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended the closing ceremony at the Science College Ground, where Tribal dance troupes from various states showcased their vibrant performances.

The festival featured performances from folk dance groups representing Himachal Pradesh, Tripura, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Uttarakhand, and Chhattisgarh. Highlights included the Hojagiri dance by the Bru Riang community of Tripura, where young women balanced bottles on their heads while dancing in perfect harmony. The Kayang dance from Himachal Pradesh, performed in a circular pattern, symbolized unity and the beauty of nature.

The Garo dance from Meghalaya expressed devotion to the deity Misi Saljong, while Mizoram's Mizo dance showcased bravery and valor in battle. The Harul dance from Uttarakhand, performed by the Hati tribe, narrated heroic stories of the Pandavas and local gods.

On the first day of the festival, several other dances were performed, including Chakos Tangnam from Sikkim, Siddhi Goma from Gujarat, Geh Padam A Na Nyi from Arunachal Pradesh, and various dances from Chhattisgarh, including the Gaur Madia dance.

The festival brought together a rich variety of tribal dance forms, offering a vivid glimpse into the diverse cultures, stories, and traditions of India’s tribal communities. The event concluded with performances from folk artists across Chhattisgarh, celebrating the state’s own tribal heritage.

Infrastructure for solid waste management will be strengthened in all urban bodies

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao recently met Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Shri Manohar Lal and requested approval of the amount.

Raipur : On the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has approved Rs 230 crore for solid waste management in urban bodies of Chhattisgarh. The amount is approved under Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) for strengthening infrastructure and technical arrangements for solid waste management in all urban bodies.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai expressed his heartfelt thanks to Government of India for cooperation of the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. “This amount will give a new dimension to the works of Swachh Bharat Mission in the cities. This will give a facelift to every urban body of the state as clean and healthy,” said Shri Sai.

He added that with this financial assistance will improve the waste management infrastructure in the Municipal Corporations, Municipalities and Nagar Panchayats of the state. This will mobilize the necessary technical, physical and human resources to improve the system of solid waste management in the state, which will not only improve the condition of cleanliness, but will also provide better environmental facilities to the citizens.

It is noteworthy that Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Shri Arun Sao had met Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Shri Manohar Lal during his recent visit to New Delhi and requested him to approve funds for solid waste management works. Hence, based on the proposals raised by Chhattisgarh’s Urban Administration Department, the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has approved Rs 230 crore for Chhattisgarh for solid waste management

Raipur : Chief Minister performs bhoomipujan and inaugurates development works worth Rs 60.20 Crore

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today announced plans to establish a B.Ed. College and develop a Transport Nagar in Balodabazar while inaugurating various development projects at Dussehra Ground. During the event, he inaugrated and performed Bhoomipujan for several development works in Balodabazar-Bhatapara district, with a total cost of Rs 60.20 crore.

Chief Minister performed Bhoomipujan for 16 projects worth Rs 32.32 crore and inaugurated 32 projects worth Rs 27.88 crore. Revenue Minister Shri Tankram Verma, Industry Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan, MP Smt. Kamlesh Jangde, and MLA Guru Shri Khuswant Saheb were present at the occasion.

As part of the event, Chief Minister handed over approval letters for houses to 2,100 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) and keys to 51 beneficiaries who have received homes under the scheme. Besides, certificates were presented to 51 youth under the district's "Hum Honge Kamyaab Abhiyan."

Farmers expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Sai by presenting 'Tukni' and 'Parra' filled with paddy, symbolizing their appreciation for the paddy procurement price of Rs 3,100 per quintal at the rate of 21 quintals per acre.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin), each house receives Rs 1.20 lakh in assistance. In addition, Rs 21,870 is allocated as wages for 90 days under MNREGA, and Rs 12,000 is provided for the construction of toilets under the Swachh Bharat Mission. This brings the total assistance per house to Rs 1 lakh 53 thousand 870. On this occasion, Bhoomipujan was performed for 2,100 houses with an investment of Rs 32.31 crore.
