Embracing Peace and Returning to Mainstream Society: 140 Surrendered Naxalites Meet Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai
Raipur : A new picture of peace, development and trust has emerged in Chhattisgarh, as 140 surrendered Naxalites from Bijapur and Kanker districts met Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai at the Assembly premises and shared their happiness of returning to the mainstream.

Raipur : A new picture of peace, development and trust has emerged in Chhattisgarh, as 140 surrendered Naxalites from Bijapur and Kanker districts met Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai at the Assembly premises and shared their happiness of returning to the mainstream.

Chief Minister Shri Sai held detailed discussions with them about their lives before surrender and their present circumstances. During the interaction, the surrendered Naxalites said their lives have completely changed—earlier they lived in forests amid fear and insecurity, but now they are leading safe and dignified lives with their families.

They shared that their regions have witnessed rapid expansion of roads, electricity and other basic facilities, making life easier. Some of them emotionally said that they celebrated a festival like Holi with their families for the first time, which was a new and joyful experience for them.
Welcoming them into the mainstream, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that this decision is not just a personal transformation but a significant step towards a brighter future for Chhattisgarh. He said that by expressing faith in the Constitution, they have set a positive and inspiring example.
The Chief Minister assured that the state government is fully committed to the rehabilitation, employment and social reintegration of surrendered Naxalites. He said Naxalism in the state is now in its final phase and the resolve of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah to eradicate Naxalism will be fulfilled soon.
On the occasion, Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap and Panchayat & Rural Development Department Principal Secretary Smt. Niharika Barik Singh were also present.
