Raipur : There are vast possibilities of setting up new industries in Chhattisgarh. There are abundant reserves of minerals here, favorable industrial environment, as well as the new Industrial Development Policy 2024-30 of the state has been prepared after discussing with the representatives of the industry and business world. In this new policy, the process of setting up industries has been simplified and many provisions have been included to encourage the establishment of industries. The red carpet is open for investors in Chhattisgarh in the form of a new industrial policy.

The complexities of investment are no longer there in Chhattisgarh. The single window system has made everything very simple. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said this while addressing the "Stakeholder Connect Workshop with stakeholders regarding Chhattisgarh's Industrial Development Policy 2024-30" jointly organized by NITI Aayog and Chhattisgarh Government in Nava Raipur today.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given the target of developed India by the year 2047. For this, we have to build a developed Chhattisgarh. The industry of Chhattisgarh will also make an important contribution in the construction of a developed India. By promoting industrial investment in various sectors for the development of Chhattisgarh, employment opportunities will be provided to as many people of Chhattisgarh as possible.

Presiding over the program, Industry Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan said that the new industrial policy of Chhattisgarh has been made under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and taking inspiration from Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Suggestions from industrialists have been included in preparing the new policy. This policy will not only bring investment in the state, new industries will be established, as well as people of the state will get employment.

Niti Aayog's Senior Advisor Mr. Sanjit Singh said that Chhattisgarh has become a favorite state for investors. Chhattisgarh's new industrial policy is being praised everywhere. This policy will give a new direction to sustainable industrial development in the state. A good effort has been made to strengthen MSME industries in the new policy. An incentive scheme has been prepared for investment in new areas. Employment generation is an important aspect in this industrial policy.

In the program, Chief Minister Shri Sai provided Intent to Invest Letters to 27 big industrial groups of the state for investment of Rs 32 thousand 225 crore in relation to the proposal of new capital investment. These will include investment in the core sector of the state as well as new investment areas like IT, AI, Data Center, Ethanol, Electronics, Electrical, Compressed Bio Gas. These include Shivalik Engineering, Maa Durga Iron and Steel, ABREL Green Energy, RAG Ferro Alloys, Reliance Bio Energy, Yash Fans and Appliances, Shanti Greens Biofuel, Rack Bank Data Center etc.

Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain said that the new industrial policy of Chhattisgarh focuses on employment generation, export promotion and simplification of the process of approval and establishment of industries. Secretary of Commerce and Industry Department Shri Rajat Kumar said that provisions have been made in the new industrial development policy to accelerate the priorities of the state and industrial development in the state.

In the panel discussion organized in the program, industrial infrastructure, policy support and reduction of formal requirements for setting up industries were discussed in employment generating industrial development. Other officials including representatives of various industrial organizations were present in the program.

15 thousand new houses approved in urban bodies

All cities of the state included, approval of new houses based on Chhattisgarh's performance in the first phase of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

Central Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs gave approval under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0

Raipur : Due to the rapid completion of houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) in Chhattisgarh under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and good performance in the scheme, 15 thousand new houses have been approved for the state by the Government of India. The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has approved 15 thousand new houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0 in Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Shri Manohar Lal for the approval of new houses.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai thanked the Central Government for the approval of 15 thousand new houses for cities and said that the dream of every poor person to have a permanent house in the state will soon be fulfilled. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, construction of houses is being completed rapidly in both rural and urban areas. The government will ensure that the benefits of the scheme reach every person standing at the last end.

These houses have been approved for all the cities of the state due to the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and the efforts of Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Shri Arun Saw.

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India has sent a letter of in-principle approval of 15 thousand new houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0 to the Secretary of Urban Administration and Development Department of the State Government. The letter also mentions the approval of 15 thousand new houses by the Central Government to Chhattisgarh by March 2025 as well as the quick implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) in the state behind the approval of these new houses. While approving housing for all the urban bodies of the state, the ministry has also sent its list. The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has directed the state government to send a formal proposal to the Government of India after examining the eligible beneficiaries in accordance with the guidelines of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0.

The implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0 has been started by the Government of India from 1 September 2024 under the 'Housing for All' mission in urban areas. Under this, financial assistance will be provided to the urban poor and middle class families of weaker income groups, lower income groups and middle income groups for construction, purchase or rent of houses at affordable rates. Implementing the scheme in all urban bodies in Chhattisgarh, the beneficiary survey work (Rapid Assessment Survey) has been started on the unified web portal of the Government of India from 15 November. During the survey, information of the beneficiaries is being recorded on the portal of the Government of India.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Saw expressed happiness over the approval of new houses and said that the Chhattisgarh government is committed to provide housing to every eligible family. He has directed all the urban bodies to extend the benefits of the scheme to maximum beneficiaries. Shri Saw has directed not to cancel the applications immediately due to lack of mandatory documents during the ongoing beneficiary survey. Along with giving sufficient time to the concerned families to complete the documents, he has also asked the urban bodies to coordinate with the Revenue Department and make every possible effort to provide the necessary documents. On the instructions of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sao, the Secretary of the Urban Administration Department has also written a letter to the Revenue Department to issue the pending caste certificate and income certificate of the beneficiaries in the revenue offices on priority.

Raipur : We have transferred the tenth installment of love money of one thousand rupees under Mahtari Vandan Yojana to your account today for our 70 lakh mothers and sisters. The blessings of our mothers and sisters give me the strength to work. The sparkle of self-respect seen in the eyes of our mothers and sisters is our biggest satisfaction. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said this while addressing the function organized on the occasion of inauguration and Bhoomi Pujan of development works worth about 137 crore rupees in Raigarh district today. On this occasion, on the request of Chief Minister Shri Sai, Saraswati Yadav transferred an amount of 652 crore rupees as the 10th installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana to 70 lakh women of the state by pressing the button.

In his address, Chief Minister Shri Sai mentioned village Dansara of Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district and said that the mothers and sisters here thought that a grand temple of Shri Ramlala has been built in Ayodhya Dham. We should also build a temple of Ramlala next to the Hanuman temple of the village. These women started the construction of the temple by collecting donations from the amount received from the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. There are so many stories of mothers and sisters dreaming and their dreams being fulfilled. I often ask mothers and sisters about this and every time their words touch my heart.

The Chief Minister said that yesterday I met the toppers of the PSC exam in Raipur. There was a sparkle of confidence in the eyes of those youth. They told me that their confidence was broken due to irregularities in the PSC exam, but when our government came, we worked for transparency in the PSC exam. Corruption in competitive exams not only ruins the future of a talented youth, but also destroys the structure of the civil service. When we gave the responsibility of investigating corruption to the CBI, their confidence was restored. Today we have also performed the Bhoomi Pujan of the Nalanda campus to be built with an amount of Rs 42 crore 56 lakh, which will greatly benefit the youth appearing for PSC and other competitive exams. We are starting libraries like Nalanda in the capital Raipur in 13 urban bodies of the state. There will be a collection of thousands of books here. There will be WiFi facility. Youth preparing for all kinds of competitive exams will be able to get study material here.

The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has set the goal of building a developed India in the year 2047. We have also prepared a vision document to develop Chhattisgarh by the year 2047. The vision document focuses on the rapid industrialization of the state. We have made a new industrial policy for the rapid development of industries. Due to this, entrepreneurs in Chhattisgarh will have great convenience in starting new ventures. Connectivity is the first condition for improving the industrial environment. In the next two years, the road network of our state will be at par with any developed country. Surguja and Bastar have got air connectivity. The way infrastructure work has been done in the railways in a decade, it will not only provide convenience to passengers in the future, but the movement of freight will also become very easy, which is most important for increasing business.

The Chief Minister said that now is the time to buy paddy. Our government has also taken full care of the welfare of the farmers. We are buying paddy at Rs 3100 per quintal and 21 acres per quintal. Last time we had bought a record 145 lakh metric tonnes of paddy. This time the target is 160 lakh metric tonnes of paddy. Our government is about to complete one year. The very next day of taking oath, we had approved 18 lakh houses and since then the process of fulfilling Modi ji's guarantee has been going on continuously and now we have fulfilled most of the promises of Modi ji's guarantee within a year. Today we have honored such beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, who have completed the work of their houses.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Saw said that today Vishnu's good governance started in Chhattisgarh. All the guarantees of Modi are being fulfilled in Chhattisgarh. Development works are being completed rapidly in villages and cities. He told that an amount of Rs 100 crore has been released for urban development in Raigarh district. Works worth Rs 60 crore have been approved in Raigarh Municipal Corporation itself.

Finance Minister Shri OP Choudhary said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, work is being done towards completing the work of canals from Kelo Dam to provide irrigation facilities to the farmers in Raigarh district, for this, provision of funds has been made in the budget. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Sai, the Raigarh region is being developed rapidly. He told that Horticulture College is going to open in Raigarh. The Nalanda campus will be constructed here from CSR funds, which will benefit the students here.

The library will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities

The fully equipped Nalanda campus at Marine Drive in Raigad will be a state-of-the-art library. It will be the largest library in the state, it will have all the facilities that are usually found in libraries of big cities and universities. Here students will get such an eco-system of study and teaching, so that they can prepare themselves for competition at the national level along with the state. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai along with 5 school students inaugurated the virtual tour video of the Nalanda campus to be built in Raigad by pressing the button.

The Nalanda campus will have a smart library and study zone. Along with a collection of thousands of books, there will also be a facility to access international level e-books. The focus will be on smart learning. Students will also get 24x7 WiFi and internet facilities here. Along with civil services, there will also be books for medical, engineering, CLAT preparation as well as Maths Olympiad. Career guidance seminars will be organized. To prepare children for admission in Navodaya Vidyalaya, Sainik School after 5th standard, a Kids Study Zone and Kids Library will be set up separately where books and study material will be available according to their syllabus. There will also be a cafeteria along with a conference hall.

E-buses will run in four cities of the state

Citizens will get eco-friendly, affordable, reliable and smooth transport facility: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai

Raipur: Citizens of four cities of Chhattisgarh, Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg-Bhilai and Korba are soon going to get eco-friendly, affordable, reliable and smooth transport facility. Under the Pradhan Mantri e-Bus Seva, a total of 240 e-buses will be operated in these four cities. On the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the Government of India has approved 100 e-buses for Raipur, 50 each for Bilaspur and Durg-Bhilai and 40 e-buses for Korba under the Pradhan Mantri e-Bus Seva. For this at the state level, SUDA has been made the nodal agency and the Urban Public Service Society formed in the respective districts has been made the implementing agency.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that the introduction of e-bus service will improve air quality and protect the environment by reducing carbon emissions in the cities of Chhattisgarh. With less energy consumption and better fuel efficiency, citizens will get comfortable transportation facilities. It will be developed as an alternative or supporting means of metro in cities, so that people get affordable, reliable and easy transportation facilities.

Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Shri Arun Saw said that the Prime Minister E-Bus Service Scheme has been started by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs to improve the infrastructure of public transport in urban areas. In this innovative scheme of public transport, the central government will provide financial assistance to the cities for the purchase and operation of buses. A large part of it will also be spent for infrastructure development like bus depots and BTM power infrastructure in cities. He said that under the scheme, three types of buses will be run - standard, medium and mini. The number of buses has been determined on the basis of the population of the cities.

He informed that the state government has accelerated the preparations for putting these e-buses on the roads and has approved a total of Rs 67 crore 40 lakh for bus depots and BTM power infrastructure in the four cities and has also given permission to invite tenders. The State Urban Development Agency of the Urban Administration and Development Department has approved the amount for both these works and asked the Urban Public Service Society formed separately for operating the e-bus service in the four cities to invite tenders.

SUDA has issued administrative approval of Rs 14 crore 33 lakh to Raipur Urban Public Service Society for the civil infrastructure of the bus depot to start bus service in Raipur. This includes a central share of Rs 8 crore 60 lakh and a state share of Rs 5 crore 73 lakh. SUDA has also approved Rs 12 crore 90 lakh for BTM power infrastructure. Administrative approval of Rs 6 crore 73 lakh has been issued by SUDA to Durg-Bhilai Urban Public Service Society for civil infrastructure of bus depot for e-buses in Durg-Bhilai. This includes central share of Rs 4 crore 4 lakh and state share of Rs 2 crore 69 lakh. Rs 11 crore 2 lakh has been sanctioned for BTM power infrastructure there.

Bilaspur Urban Public Service Society has been granted administrative approval of Rs 8 crore 37 lakh for the civil infrastructure of the bus depot in Bilaspur. This includes a central share of Rs 5 crore 2 lakh and a state share of Rs 3 crore 35 lakh. Rs 3 crore 8 lakh has been sanctioned for BTM power infrastructure. Similarly, Korba Urban Public Service Society has been granted administrative approval of Rs 7 crore 19 lakh for the civil infrastructure of the bus depot in Korba. This includes a central share of Rs 4 crore 31 lakh and a state share of Rs 2 crore 88 lakh. Rs 3 crore 78 lakh has been sanctioned for BTM power infrastructure.

Cities have been divided into four categories, buses have been sanctioned on the basis of population

Under the Pradhan Mantri e-Bus Service, cities have been divided into four categories on the basis of population. Cities with a population of 20 lakh to 40 lakh are eligible for 150 e-buses, cities with a population of 10 to 20 lakh and 5 to 10 lakh are eligible for 100 e-buses each, and cities with a population of less than 5 lakh are eligible for 50 e-buses. On this basis, Raipur has been approved for 100 medium e-buses, Durg-Bhilai for 50 medium e-buses, Bilaspur for 35 medium and 15 mini e-buses, and Korba for 20 medium and 20 mini e-buses. As per the guidelines of the scheme, the purchase of buses and the selection of the operating agency will be done by the Government of India.

On the instructions of Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, contract appointment orders of a total of 83 medical officers have been issued in Raipur, Durg, Bilaspur and Surguja divisions.

Rural and urban primary health centers, community health centers and district hospitals got new medical officers.

Raipur : To strengthen health services in the state and ensure availability of adequate human resources for the delivery of health services, posting orders have been issued providing appointment of medical officers on contractual posts under the National Health Mission under the instructions of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and guidance of Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal.

31 medical officers have been appointed in government hospitals of Raipur division of the state, 22 medical officers in Bilaspur division, 03 medical officers in Surguja division and 27 medical officers in Durg division. Orders for posting of these new contract medical officers have been issued today by National Health Mission, Chhattisgarh. These doctors have been posted in various rural and urban primary health centers, community health centers and district hospitals of the respective districts. Posting of new contract medical officers will speed up quick treatment and promote medical facilities.

Chief Minister gave instructions in the meeting of Chhattisgarh State Road Safety Council

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai reviewed in detail the road safety scenario of the state and the measures to control road accidents in the meeting of Chhattisgarh State Road Safety Council held in his residential office today. He said in the meeting that to control road accidents, the use of helmets for two-wheeler drivers and seat belts for four-wheeler drivers and strict adherence to road safety and traffic rules while driving should be ensured. For this, a public awareness campaign should be run effectively.

To prevent road accidents, Chief Minister Shri Sai directed to expedite the work of repairing black spots on roads, to hold regular meetings of District Road Safety Committee, to complete the work of Trauma Stabilization Units under construction for the treatment of people injured in road accidents as soon as possible. In the meeting, the Chief Minister launched the "Bus Sangwari App" prepared by the Transport Department and released the poster published by the Transport Department on road safety.

It was informed in the meeting that the School Education Department has included chapters related to road traffic rules in the syllabus in the textbooks of the State Council of Educational Research from class I to class X in the state schools. It was informed in the meeting that electronic surveillance of traffic system is being done in Raipur, Bilaspur and Nava Raipur. This system is partially operational in Bhilai and Durg. From September 2023 to October 2024, improvement works of 101 black spots and 748 junctions have been completed. It was informed in the meeting that the possibility of death in road accidents can be reduced by 40 percent by using helmets and seat belts.

Officials said that more than 6 lakh 70 thousand challan actions have been taken by the Transport Department and more than 4 lakh 87 thousand by the Police Department for violation of traffic rules. From 01 January 2023 to 31 October 2024, the licenses of 7826 drivers have been suspended. Funds have been approved for the construction of trauma stabilization units in 8 accident-prone areas Rajnandgaon, Dharsiwa Abhanpur, Pali, Simga, Sukma, Bemetara and Pathalgaon. Vehicle location tracking devices have been installed in 14 thousand 261 vehicles, speed governors in more than 72 thousand vehicles and panic buttons in 2200 buses. In the meeting, the identification of black spots, improvement action, traffic indicators on roads, removal of hoardings, removal of encroachment from footpath, parking, service lane etc. were reviewed.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai has said that under the double engine government, the train of development is now running at a fast pace in Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Shri Sai reiterated the resolve for the rapid development of Chhattisgarh during his train journey from Raipur to Bilaspur yesterday.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said that the positive changes that have taken place in the railway sector in the last 10 years have not only increased passenger facilities but have also given impetus to the Indian economy. He said that modernization of railways has created new employment opportunities. With the expansion of the railway network, rural and remote areas are being connected to big cities, which is encouraging business and tourism.

The Chief Minister said that high-speed trains like Vande Bharat, Tejas and Gatiman have reduced travel time considerably. The Chief Minister said that railway officials told him that modern trains have air-conditioned coaches, comfortable seats, Wi-Fi, onboard catering facilities. Stations are now equipped with modern facilities, which have improved the passenger experience. He said that e-ticketing and digital payments have made the booking process simpler and faster. Initiatives like solar power and bio-toilets are helping in preserving the environment. Indian Railways is now moving towards the use of modern technological measures like Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics and Automation, to improve efficiency and quality of service.

During this discussion, the Chief Minister said that the intention of the Chhattisgarh government is to move forward rapidly towards the proper use of rail transport for the economic progress of the state. In this sequence, with the cooperation of the central government, work is going on rapidly on many rail projects and there are many such projects, which are being prepared to be expanded. He has said that approval has been received from the Railway Ministry for the Dongargarh-Kawardha-Katghora rail line project. This project will be about 295 km long and its estimated cost is Rs 4021 crore. This rail line will be constructed by Chhattisgarh Railway Corporation. At present, an amount of Rs 300 crore has been approved for land acquisition and initial construction works. In this rail line, 12 stations will be constructed between Dongargarh to Kawardha and 15 stations between Kawardha to Katghora. This project will not only increase passenger facilities in the area but will also provide new opportunities for transportation of minerals and employment.

He said that recently the Government of India and the Ministry of Railways have approved several new rail projects in Chhattisgarh, which aim to strengthen the state's infrastructure and increase connectivity. Korba-Ambikapur new rail line is a 180 km long project, for which Rs 16.75 crore has been sanctioned for survey and DPR. This project will accelerate development in the Surguja region. Similarly, Rs 12.25 crore has been sanctioned for the survey of 490 km long rail line from Gadchiroli-Bijapur-Bacheli. This project will help connect remote areas with better education, health and employment opportunities. The Sardega-Bhalumuda double line 37 km long project will improve connectivity between Odisha and Chhattisgarh. There is a provision of Rs 1360 crore for this project. DPR of Ambikapur-Barwadih, Kharsia-Naya Raipur-Parmalkasa, Raoghat-Jagdalpur and Dharamjaigarh-Pathalgaon-Lohardaga rail projects is being prepared in Chhattisgarh. The survey work being done by the railways for the Dharamjaigarh-Lohardaga project is in the final stage.

The Chief Minister said that these projects will not only enhance passenger connectivity but will also facilitate transportation of industrial and mineral resources. Apart from these, many other small rail lines and multi-tracking projects are also in the pipeline in the state, which will strengthen regional development and supply chain. He said that wherever the need for rail transport is felt in the development of the state, rapid initiatives will be taken in that direction. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that this trip gave me a wonderful opportunity to know and understand a lot. We will take necessary steps with the cooperation of the Central Government to increase the facilities of the passengers and solve their problems.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday met Union Civil Aviation Minister Shri Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu at Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan, New Delhi. The meeting focused on enhancing air connectivity in the state and developing regional airports. The Union Minister gave his nod to commence international air services from Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur at the earliest. In addition, steps will be initiated to develop a cargo hub at Raipur Airport. Consent has been received to initiate air services connecting Raipur Airport with Patna and Ranchi.

Chief Minister requested granting international airport status to Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur, adding that Chhattisgarh holds significant potential for international air services. He stated that this move would boost the state's economic development and enhance global connectivity. Considering the growing international passenger traffic in Chhattisgarh, the Chief Minister discussed the need for direct flights from Raipur to Singapore and Dubai, noting that these routes have substantial passenger demand and would be commercially viable. The Union Aviation Minister has agreed to the proposal to commence international air services from Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur at the earliest.

Shri Sai also pointed out the absence of a major cargo facility center in the state and proposed transforming Raipur Airport into a central cargo hub. He stated that this development would boost the transportation of agricultural and horticultural products. The Union Minister assured prompt action on the proposal.

During the meeting, a proposal was made to upgrade Bilaspur Airport to the 3C IFR category. Chief Minister Shri Sai urged the swift completion of the installation process for the Radio Navigation System DVOR to address this requirement. In response, the Union Minister directed officials to expedite the process, considering the challenges currently faced in night landings at Bilaspur Airport.

Chief Minister also called for the introduction of new flights connecting Ambikapur Airport with major cities, including Raipur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Ayodhya. He added that such services would significantly benefit the region, given its cultural and mineral wealth. The Union Minister assured a positive initiative in response to this demand.

In the meeting, Chief Minister also requested the restoration of financial assistance for RCS flights at Jagdalpur and Bilaspur airports, stating that enhanced connectivity on these routes would support regional development. He mentioned that the Indigo Airlines flight service between Jagdalpur and Raipur was discontinued due to low passenger numbers. Urging for its timely reinstatement, Shri Sai highlighted the immense tourism potential in Bastar, creating a strong demand for air connectivity on this route. The Union Minister assured a positive initiative on the other proposals as well. Chief Minister's Secretary Shri Rahul Bhagat along with Investment Commissioner of Chhattisgarh in New Delhi, Smt. Raipur : It was an evening filled with Chhattisgarh’s rich art and culture in India International Trade Fair (IITF) at Pragati Maidan. Artists from various districts of the state mesmerized hundreds of audiences with their performances at Amphitheatre here on the occasion of Chhattisgarh Day celebration. Chief Minister in his address, described the state as "land of possibilities" and said that Chhattisgarh is now playing an important role in the construction of "strong India".

Several effective steps have been taken by the government to promote infrastructure development, innovation in agriculture, and industries in the state. Our aim is to make the state a pioneer in the field of education, health, and employment. Chhattisgarh is set to create a global identity with its cultural heritage and a combination of modern development.

On this occasion, Chhattisgarh's Investment Commissioner posted in Delhi Ritu Sain, Secretary to the Chief Minister, Rahul Bhagat, Secretary of Culture Department, Anbalgan P, Director of Culture and Official Language Department, Vivek Acharya, General Manager of Minor Forest Produce Manivasan S, General Manager of CSIDC, Vishwesh Kumar, Public Relations Commissioner, Ravi Mittal, Resident Commissioner, Shruti Singh and other dignitaries were present at the function.

The chief minister visited the Chhattisgarh Pavilion and interacted with craftsmen and artisans. Chhattisgarh pavilion, on the first floor of Hall No. 5, is showcasing its spectrum of products including handlooms and handicrafts at the 43nd edition of the India International Trade Fair (IITF) at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.

A total of 11 stalls have been put up for display in the area measuring 500 sq feet, depicting this year’s theme ‘Developed Chhattisgarh @ 2047’. The pavilion showcases the state's multifaceted growth and displays their industrial, agricultural, herbal and handicraft products as per the speciality of each region.

The cultural event at the amphitheatre started with lamp lighting followed by dance performances by cultural troops. Spectators appreciated the performances with a big round of applause. Gaura-Gauri dance was also performed. A passionate performance of Bhojli dance was the next to cast a spell on the entire audience. The group showed ‘Raut Naach’ and ‘Karma dance’ especially performed to mark the beginning of spring season.

The group of women artists showed folk dance ‘Sua Naacha’ or parrot dance especially performed during the Diwali festival. It is a symbolic form of dancing related to worship. Dancers keep a parrot in a bamboo-pot and form a circle around it. Then performers sing and dance, moving around it with clapping. This is one of the main dance forms of tribal women of Chhattisgarh.

The melodious song and the sound of clapping combined to create an enchanting atmosphere. The rhythm and melody of the song accompanied with the dance created a soothing affect. The group of men artists showed folk dance ‘Panthi’ dance, one of the most popular ritual of Satnami community. The dance commenced with slow movements to the accompaniment of a song led by the leader of the group. The tempo increased gradually and created an enchanting atmosphere.

He acknowledged their sacrifices in the service of Bastar’s development, stating that by staying away from their families and enduring hardships, they have earned a permanent place in the hearts of the region's tribal communities. Chief Minister was addressing jawans at the Sedwa camp of the Central Reserve Police Force in Bastar district. The jawans greeted him warmly, expressing surprise and happiness at his sudden visit to the camp.

During his interaction with the jawans, Shri Sai shared, “When I visited Chitrakote for the meeting of the Bastar Area Tribal Development Authority, I was eager to meet all of you. Your significant role in the successes achieved in the Naxal operations over the last 11 months is being praised across the country. I salute your courage. Whenever I meet Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, he always mentions the progress Chhattisgarh is making in the fight against Naxalism. Shri Sai pointed out that the state government’s goal of eliminating Naxalism from Bastar by 2026 is fully supported by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Home Minister Shri Amit Shah.

Chief Minister noted that in Bastar, over 200 Naxalites have been killed in recent operations, and more than 740 Maoist cadres have surrendered, renouncing violence and reintegrating into the democratic fold. He expressed confidence that the government’s rehabilitation policies would encourage even more Naxalites to abandon violence and surrender in the future. In response to a request from the security personnel to stay overnight at the camp, Shri Sai spent the night there, further demonstrating his support for the forces.

Surguja kickboxing players shine at National League with four medal wins

Raipur : Four players from Surguja brought glory to the state by clinching two gold, one silver, and one bronze medal in the Professional National Kickboxing League, held from November 10 to 14 in Coorg, Karnataka. Raipur : In order to honor and support the Tribal communities of Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai honored Baiga, Gunia and Sirha Tribal communities by giving them ‘shawl’ and coconut in a program organized at the Circuit House on Monday.

Highlighting these communities as the protectors of tribal tradition, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that traditional Tribal communities like Baiga, Gunia and Sirha will now be given honorarium of Rs 5,000 each year. This initiative is an important step towards promoting the cultural traditions of tribal society along with their economic empowerment.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai presided over the Bastar Region Tribal Development Authority meeting held in Chitrakote on November 18. The discussions included plans for establishing a tourism corridor to significantly boost tourism in the Bastar region by developing identified tourist destinations and construction of a super-speciality hospital by NMDC. During the event, Shri Sai launched the Saur Samadhan and Mano Bastar apps and inaugurated a solar-powered power bank.

Chief Minister Shri Sai shared that Dhudmaras village, located in Kanger Valley National Park, had been selected by the UN Tourism under its Rural Development Programme as part of the Best Tourism Village initiative. This recognition places Dhudmaaras among 20 villages globally chosen from 60 countries, bringing national and international acclaim to Chhattisgarh.

In his address, Shri Sai reaffirmed his government’s commitment to the development of the Bastar and Surguja regions, highlighting the Tribal Development Authorities’ pivotal role in progress. He assured that no shortage of funds or resources would hinder tribal development, with substantial contributions available through Corporate Social Responsibility. Emphasising the "double-engine" governance of the Central and State Governments, he noted their shared sensitivity toward tribal welfare.

The Chief Minister also shared the Union Government's ambitious goal, led by Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, to eliminate Naxal terrorism by March 2026. Shri Sai praised the state's progress, noting that Naxal activities are now confined to smaller areas, with efforts focused on restoring peace and strengthening democratic foundations. He stressed that development and trust in governance are essential for achieving lasting peace in Bastar.

He highlighted the transformative impact of the Niyad Nella Naar Yojana, which is bringing essential infrastructure such as roads, schools, hospitals, and mobile towers to remote villages. Under this scheme, 34 new security camps have been established to provide better facilities for rural communities. The meeting included suggestions from ministers, MPs, and legislators, emphasizing unity in driving development efforts.

Chief Minister directs officials to expedite the repair of the Keshkal Ghat road

The Chief Minister directed officials to expedite the repair of the Keshkal Ghat road and complete projects funded by tribal authorities within stipulated timelines. He instructed the Bastar Collector to finalise pending works in Devgudi and Matagudi within six weeks. Additionally, NMDC was tasked with resolving issues in Nerli and Thurli villages, such as red water turbidity, through collaborative efforts with district collectors.

Ministers and Public Representatives offer suggestions

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao highlighted the prioritisation of Bastar and Surguja’s development through initiatives like Niyad Nella Naar and the Bastar Olympics. Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap suggested focusing on fisheries, dairy entrepreneurship, collective farming in FRA clusters, and establishing sports academies. Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary recommended introducing hotel management institutes, nursing colleges, organic farming projects, and permanent POTA cabins. Bastar Development Authority Vice-Chairperson Smt. Lata Usendi emphasised educational and entrepreneurial development while advocating for agricultural service centres and global tourism promotion. MLA Shri Kiran Deo Singh proposed a Central Instrumental Laboratory for research scholars.

Recruitment Campaign in Aspirational Districts

Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain shared updates on police successes in Bastar and infrastructure surveys in 95 villages. He directed district administrations to focus on the recruitment campaign in aspirational districts. Kanker Collector confirmed compensation for all farmers affected by the Rawghat Project, while BSP representatives noted employment opportunities for 153 affected youth. The Education Secretary assured that no schools have been closed in Bastar, with plans to address infrastructure gaps for schools lacking permanent structures.

Raipur : Early this morning, Nisha Yadav, a resident of Bilaspur, received a call that changed her life. On the other end was a calm, reassuring voice saying, “You need to climb Mount Kilimanjaro; don’t worry about the expenses.” Startled, Nisha asked, “Who is this?” The response came, “This is Vishnu Deo Sai speaking.”

Still in disbelief, Nisha questioned, “Are you really the Chief Minister?” Her astonishment grew when the Chief Minister elaborated, assuring her, “Focus on your goal. It is our responsibility to fulfill the dreams of every daughter of Chhattisgarh. The state government stands with you.”

Moved by the Chief Minister’s warm words of encouragement, Nisha’s joy knew no bounds. She was amazed that without any formal request or appeal, the Chief Minister had taken the initiative to support her dream.

In a detailed conversation with the Chief Minister, Nisha shared her mountaineering journey, including the challenges she faced during her expedition to Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Europe. She explained how these ventures are thrilling and how hoisting the tricolor atop mountain peaks fills her with immense pride. Nisha revealed that her next target is Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa, and her ultimate dream is to scale Mount Everest and unfurl the national flag there.

With a voice filled with emotion, Nisha confided, “I haven’t been able to sleep for days. My father is an auto driver, and fulfilling this dream seemed impossible for him. I was deeply worried about how to make it happen. But today, you have erased all my worries. Thank you so much, Chief Minister Sir.”

Hearing Nisha’s confident and determined words, Chief Minister Sai remarked, “Chhattisgarh is proud of its daughters. We aspire to see our daughters hoist the tricolor on Mount Everest as well. Financial challenges cannot deter one’s spirit.” Extending his best wishes, he added, “Your confidence and passion will undoubtedly help you achieve your goal.”
